2.1 RC1 breaks svn headlines during formatting code

Hi,
after i'm using CTRL+F7 for formatting code, alls svn headlines are broken.
For example,
-- $HeadURL: http://icisvnt.server.XXX.local/repos/i3s/trunk/i3skm/Model/src/main/sql/i3skm/10a_i3skm_mig_paket_revisionen_sync.pks$
will be formatted to
-- $HeadURL: http://icisvnt.server.XXX.local/repos/i3s/trunk/i3skm/
-- Model/src/main/sql/i3skm/10a_i3skm_mig_paket_revisionen_sync.pks$
The expected behavior (like in in jdev 11.1.1.2) would be to leave all svn headlines untouched.
Thanks in advance

Hi Skunde,
The formatter does not understand svn in a comment - it just assumes the comment can be cut to the set number of characters as requested.
(It does not do this by default, as max line width is 999 by default)
Two workarounds:
1/tools->preferences->databases->sqlformatter->oracle formatting->edit->line breaks->Max Line Width
set this to 999 (side effect - your code may go past the right of the screen i.e. over 80 characters)
2/Note that you can now format a selection not just the whole code so you could leave out the svn banner when formatting the rest.
Also as you have done you could remove the line feed manually.

    Ok problem solved...
Basically I was calling one ResultSet after another. Thanks to the Database Broker's structure, this was killing the first ResultSet. I fixed up the loops so that ResultSets were only ever called just before they were needed, and it fixed the problem. The only other errors were simple logic faults which I drummed out in short order. Thanks for the help everyone!

  • Error during formatting

I edited my project with final cut pro, when I try to burn a DVD i get the message
"Multiplexer Error there was an error during formatting" when I use iDVD
when I try using toast 8 I get the same problem. Can somebody tell me where do I start
trying to solve this problem. Thanks

Not sure what type of burner you have but it may be the media you're using. Try using a DVD-R and a 4x or less

  • Satellite 3011G freezes running recovery during format process

I work at a computer store, but I figure it's better to try and post here and hope for the best than send the computer. I am working on back to Toshiba as DOA.
Basically, the problem is, when I run recovery, the computer freezes during format process at "Progress 23 - 11 minutes remaining".
Since it's not the first time I have this problem with this particular model, I wonder if someone smarter than me has figured out a workaround... The OS is of Windows Vista and I use original CDs to run the recovery.
    Any help would be appreciated.
PS. Excuse the bad English, I am typing this with my left toe (figuratively). A lot of work today, heh.

The Satellite 3011G is not known to me. Are you sure you have typed the right notebooks series?!
Anyway, usually the installation should run smoothly, without any malfunctions.
Either the HDD was formatted in the wrong way or the HDD could malfunctions.
So in firstly you should format the HDD and erase all partitions from HDD
I have noticed many times that a wrong HDD partitions could have a bad influence on the OS installation from the Recovery CD!

  • Report Server report process hangs during formatting reports

We are using Forms and Reports services stand alone.
I am printing 2000 reports every day, 5% reports hangs during formatting pages, or at any page number while formatting. Has anybody seen this problem and what was the fix. I am seriously thinking to change the report server and move to crystal reports.

I am able to run request using Reports service. So this problem may be a setup issue.
    1) Ensure that in $OH\network\admin\tnsnames.ora you have the TNS entry fo the DB connection
    mydb, mydb.com =
    (DESCRIPTION =
    (ADDRESS_LIST =
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = fullHostName)(PORT = 1521))
    (CONNECT_DATA =
    (SERVICE_NAME = service_name)
If you have multiple Oracle Homes in the same machine please see that you have added tns entry to correct oracle home
    2) Set the logon user for the service . Please follow the steps given below.
    * On the machine that hosts the Reports Server, choose
Start > Settings > Control Panel
and double-click Services in the Control Panel folder.
    * In the Services dialog box, choose "OracleORACLE_HOME_NAMEReports[repserver]", where ORACLE_HOME_NAME is the home name of the Reports Server and repserver is the name of the Reports Server instance. The value of ORACLE_HOME_NAME you can see in registry .
    HKLM->SOFTWARE\Oracle\Home<x> -->ORACLE_HOME_NAME
    * Click Startup. The Services dialog window displays.
    * In the Services dialog window, select "This Account" in the" Log On As" section, and select an operating system user name and password. This specifies the user account under which the server process is run. The user running the Reports Server service must have access to anything the server may need.
    3) If these do not solve the issue, please turn ON reports tracing, restart service and post the exception/errors you see in log file here. Also please post the full request URL here.
To turn ON tracing in $OH\reports\conf\<serverName.conf> , uncomment the trace element.
The logs can be seen in $OH\reports\logs\server_name.trc and server_name-rwEng.trc
    Workaround
    4) Till the setup issue with windows service is identified, you can workaround the issue by starting server as a standalone executable. For that give ,
    rwserver server=server_name

I'm trying to burn an iMovie in iDVD and at the end of the whole burn process it says "Multiplexer Error" "there was an error during formatting".  How do I fix it so that it'll burn?

    Hi
Multiplexing error is a very complex problem due to many things (long long list following) - one common but not obvious reason is that material on the iDVD menu goes outside the TV-Safe area (or just touching it).
So first - turn on TV-Safe area and move any object well inside of this.
Wide screen stretched - usually (as I think) it is due to making a 4x3 movie in a 16x9 wide-screen project OR the other way around. This forces one to on flat-screen TV (or other) set the presenting view right - My has 4x3, wide-screen, zoom and auto-wide-screen and I have to switch this by my remote for some DVD I've made "wrong" way.
Now my long long list on Multiplex Error

    A.    Using strange letters in video project name e.g. +,/; etc. keep to a-z and 0-9 strange letters in project name e.g. +
as described by Donnyboy69.  Does the title of your project have any symbols or decimal points in it. If so, that is why you are getting the error. I had a project that had a + sign which caused the same problem. I renamed it without the symbol and low and behold, it worked.
    B.    Location of Chapters
    • Can’t be at start or end of movie (Skip first/start one - iDVD sets this by it self. At the End - no need)
    • Not in a transition (or within 2-3 seconds from it)

    Chuck, Chicago 2/7/2009.
Back again. Here is what I have found to work. I also have and use a LaCie DVD-R/RW DL external drive and a LaCie external hard drive as well. Since yesterday I have tried a few ways to burn a themed iDVD project having four 56 minute movies on it, amounting to 226 minutes onto a DVD DL disc, capacity 240 minutes. Apple tech support really didn't know what to do but gave me a very good tip. I had two options left. Apple tech support's tip was to try disc image. One of the replies on a thread with this subject said not to, but my experience today is good. Put your project onto "Burn to disc image," under "iDVD, file." Yesterday encoding took me 23 1/2 hours. Overnight for iDVD disc image, encoding took 21 1/2 hours (again) while I slept. This morning I tried to copy/burn disc image to a DVD with Roxio Toast 7, and it stopped near the end of the burn with some kind of "error" message. So then I tried Utilities> Disc Utility> Burn icon, and followed it through. Be sure to click the DVD DL drive in the window "Burn disc in.". I had one other problem though. At the end of a 46 minute copy, it started to verify, and at the end of verify it rejected the burn. So I tried again, and when "verify" appeared, I clicked on "Skip." The disc finished burning and is doing fine and well. A long and tortuous process, but at last something works. I made several additional copies using Disc Utility. Best wishes. Chuck, Chicago.

(Not a 'guy' but I will answer!)
First, I do not think that mixing wide-screen and standard makes a difference in iDVD.
Second, you should use a better brand of DVD disk. Also, many of us have experienced fewer problems on playback with DVD-R disks. Recommended brands here are Verbatim, Maxell and Taiyo Yuden. Memorex and TDK are not consistent and may not give you a correct burn. They apparently have fewer layers in the composition of the disk. I have always used Verbatim DVD-R disks and have not had any burn problems.
Also, choose a slower burn speed, 4x or less.
Third, to determine if the iDVD project will burn properly, create a disk image file (from within iDVD, go File->Save as Disk Image) and test it. Mount the disk image and then open DVD Player (in Applications) and view your project. If it plays correctly, you can then burn the actual DVD disk from the disk image file using Disk Utility.

I did everything I've seen suggested, but a friend (who used to be an Apple Genius) suggested that I do a safe reboot (by holding down the shift key until you see the spinning gear on gray background, then release, then restart when your start-up screen appears).
It worked, and I got a clean burn from iDVD.
Hopefully this can help other people.

Well, I finally got it, and it was odd enough to post here incase anyone looks this topic up again. Many things were tried, including burning the unedited film, the edited film without titles and chapter markers, abbreviating the chapter markers in case length was the issue (remember the old iMovie used to truncate them when moving to iDVD?). In the process, I noticed that one, and only one, chapter marker was on the same line as the title marker. All the others were on the line above. The only way I seemed able to change that was to clip a few seconds of film. After that last clip, the offending marker took a place on the line above, as were all the others. That run published, compiled completely and burned. That's one for the books.
    One user more writes
To add my experience with Multiplex Errors using iDVD (7.0.4), I recently created two iDVD projects
Video from both passed from FCE 4.01 with chapters
One project worked fine in creating disk image file
    The other gave Multiplex Errors
I tried suggestions to remove special characters and no chapter marks at beginning, but nothing worked
Note that I've used iDVD for dozens of projects and this is first time I've run into Multiplex Errors
Anyway, for problem project, I tried an experiment where I removed all chapters in FCE and passed to new iDVD project
    This time multiplex errors gone
So had something to do with chapters
So now I tried numerous experiments to remove individual chapters and try again creating disk image with new iDVD project
After numerous tries, I was able to narrow problem down to 1 "Bad" chapter mark
That is, when I left the "bad" chapter in my FCE project and passed to iDVD, iDVD gave multiplex error
When I removed "bad" chapter mark (and others in), no multiplex error
As a final experiment, I moved "bad" chapter mark about 5-10 sec's beyond original point and passed to iDVD, the multiplex errors now magically went away and I was able to finally create my disk image.
I have no idea why this worked, but thought I'd mention here in case someone else runs into similar problem.

In addition to Bengt's fine advice, burning errors can occur if you have located any of your menu buttons wholly or partly outside of the safe TV viewing area. Go to your main project menu, then click on View/Show TV Safe Area, to check. Drag into the safe viewing area any buttons that are outside the safe viewing area.
    Russ One - suggest this
Multiplex Error-There was an error during muxing preparation
One thing that worked for me was to export the video w/o chapter markers as a self contained movie (thereby not loosing the edits & etc). Then make a new FCE project and import that movie into a new sequence and add the chapter markers. I've used "-", "&" and "," with no problem in the chapter names. Removing the markers or exporting without them did solve the problem but renaming them with just numbers 1,2,3....5, did not solve the problem and since this problem seems to happen with with iMovie as well, it would suggest the problem is in the video or audio and in combination with the chapter markers iDVD just can't handle it. The only other possibility is that both iMovie and FCE share the same or similar chapter marker code that some how is corrupting the markers.
    Summary - What to try
    1. Chapters
    • Only A to Z and 0 to 9 in chapter title
    • No Chapter mark at very beginning of movie
    • No Chapter mark in or within 2 seconds from any transition in movie
    2. TV-safe area for buttons (no one outside this)
    3. Safe re-boot
    4. No other external devices connected - that are not needed
    SDMacuser adds to this
    • On #4 ... No ext. devices. Some think this applies mainly to ext. FW. Not the case. Also applies to ext. USB2 as well (not to mention flash drives too).
Do not leave 3rd party devices / camera / camcorder plugged in unless it is being used with iDvd's One Step process. Certain web cams can trigger this also (especially ones with added features like LED light/s that draw additional power from the FW or USB bus).
    5. Minimum of 25Gb free space on Start-up hard disk
    6. Make a DiskImage first - reduces where problem originates
    7. Trash iDVD pref. file
    8. Make a new iDVD project
    9. Movies in project with same aspect ratio e.g. 4x3 or 16x9
    10. No other programs/applications running during iDVD process. e.g. Internet, screen & energy savers

  • Display formatted code in html output

    Howdy,
I'm looking for preferably a JSTL tag (library) that is capable of transforming a code fragment into neatly formatted code, with syntax highlighting, tab preservation, line numbers, stuff like that. I'm sure they should be out there somewhere, it's just that I can't find them anywhere using Google, or I'm just using the wrong terms :/.
So, if anyone happens to know about a code formatting tool for JSP / JSTL pages, I'd be much obliged.

Here are some new keywords to Google on: 'java highlighter', 'java source highlighter', 'java2html', 'java2xml', etcetera.

  • Formatting code and output with Courier font

    Hi,
I have several problem in inserting code and output for SQL and PL/SQL.
    I.e.:
If I insert the code below formatting usin Syntax highlight as SQL:
    SELECT empno, sal
      FROM emp
    WHERE sal > ALL (2000, 3000, 4000);
Is there a way to have Courier as font to retain the correct indentation?
Another problem. Suppose that I run the query below:
    SELECT *
      FROM emp
    WHERE deptno = 10;
and I want to paste the output as Courier:
If I copy and paste the output from SQL Plus:
    EMPNO ENAME
    JOB
    MGR HIREDATE
    SAL

    7782 23-JAN-82
    1300
    10
It is pasted as a table. Even changing the font is not helping to have a good formatted code (note the header not aligned with data columns).
I can use HTML code to paste it. I.e.:
EMPNO ENAME      JOB              MGR HIREDATE         SAL       COMM     DEPTNO
          7782 CLARK      MANAGER         7839 09-JUN-81       2450                    10

          7934 MILLER     CLERK           7782 23-JAN-82       1300                    10
But it is taking quite a lot to paste the code.
    Any suggestion?

    Hi,
Is there any code fomatter pluggin for forms 6i??? Or anything else in order to format code in forms 6i???
    Regards,
    Santiago

surprisingly, I use toad formatter. you have to copy and paste from forms builder to toad, format and copy paste back it does a real good job. only two hickups, as toad formatter is plain sql, a chunk of pl/sql has to have a begin and end around it. toad won't format without a big/end. IT also does not like the word mode used in :system.mode
So you have to comment out that line of code for the formatter to run.

FIrst of all you should stay with the date format. Instead of converting it into a string you could TRUNCATE it to the first day of the Iso-Wekk.
And to enable index usage you just have to put a certain range on your queries.
    example
    select *
    from t
where col_date  >= trunc(sysdate, 'IW')  ;if col_date can hold values that are greater than syste. Or if you use another date value to compare than sysdate. Then you need to compare with a range. Just like this
    select *
    from t
    where col_date  >= trunc(sysdate, 'IW')
and col_date  < trunc(sysdate, 'IW')+7 ;If you want to input a certain WEEK and get all entries from that week you can start with the first day of the iso-Year and add the number of weeks to it.
    example using iso-Week 40
    select *
    from t
    where col_date  >= trunc(sysdate, 'IYYY')  + 7 * 40
and col_date  < trunc(sysdate, 'IYYY')+7 * (40 +  1);However calendar arithmetic is complex. We have to be careful for special cases. For example the beginning of the ISO-Year 2011 is the 3rd Jan 2011. So if we run this logic on the first or second of January *2011* we would get the calendar week 40 from *2010*. This is probably not what you want.
To take this into account we must make sure that we are using the proper year. There are several possibilities how to do it. In this case I choose to use the normal TRUNC to get the first day of the normal year (1.1.2011) then add a week and truncate again.
    example
    select *

  • Format code Adobe Flash CC 2014 Broken

I just upgraded from Adobe Flash CS6 to Adobe Flash CC 2014 and I noticed that Adobe changed how the "Format Code" command formats a Greensock code line (arrays). Does anyone have a workaround or solution?
The way CS6 formated a line of Greensock code (my preferred way):
    TweenLite.to(mc, 1.5, {x:100, y:200, rotation: 360, ease:Expo.easeInOut, delay:1});
How it formats now in CC 2014:
    TweenLite.to(mc, 1.5,
        x: 100,
        y: 200,
        rotation: 360,
        ease: Expo.easeInOut,
        delay: 1

Usually the easiest fix for something that CC does differently is to revert to using the version that you are comfortable with... CS6 in this case.  Personally, I manage all the formatting of my code and don't rely on any built-in tool for it.  Built-in coding stuff in my opinion is always a mess - as evidenced by any html page ever produced by MS Word.
I am not sure why you mention arrays since the formating only appears to have affected the Object that is defined as one of the tween's arguments.  The way it is formatted makes it easier to read the properties of the Object. I wouldn't say it is broken, it is just done the way someone who writes the program decided they like it to be shown.

What I meant to say was the %u was the general format and you replace with a number. Do not use < or > in your format string. %3u is what you want to use.Message Edited by Dennis Knutson on 03-08-2005 10:45 AM

  • Can anyone advise on this error: "Timeline", Error: "invalid format", Code: "14", Note: "Unknown

    Hello,
Attempting to author a basic Blu-ray disc.  Everything appears to be ok when I run the build check to make sure that the disc will write out correctly.  When I start to build and burn the disc, Encore begins to import the video asset, and then quits with the following error message:
Blu-ray Object: "<Timeline> Untitled Timeline", Error: "invalid format", Code: "14", Note: "Unknown exception"
Does anyone have any thoughts regarding this error?  In the project timeline, everything plays ok - picture and sound.  I am importing a MPEG-2 file that came out of Compressor as an .m2v file.  Not sure if this could be the cause of the invalid format.  If so, odd that it imports into the project and simulates ok.
    Thanks,

    Thanks Stan.
The project originates in Final Cut Pro, so it is easier for me to export out directly from FCP than to make an intermediate file to go into Premiere Pro.  Also, going directly makes it more fool proof in terms of potential downstream issues with the MPEG encode.
That said, do you have a file format recommendation if I were to export a master file out of FCP, and then import into PP ?
Regarding if I want the M2V to work, do you know what setting might be causing the error... presuming that's the issue.  Does it make sense that I would be able to see the video file workin in Encore, but when I try to then "build" it fails?
    Thanks again, feedback most appreciated!
