2 BIZ questions: ODPs and PayPal vs GooglePay??

Hey folks,
I'm producing a series of posters for a client who wants to use an ODP for printing and sell them on her website.
I've only used one ODP on a client's request. Their work was OK, but they weren't particularly pleasant to deal with. Do you have any experiences/opinions on ODPs you've dealt with?
Has anyone used Google Pay for domesic e-commerce? For international e-commerce? Any good/bad experiences? Opinions?

PS: It took me months dealing with Apple to find out that nobody at Apple has a clue how to install/uninstall profiles in ColorSync. One guy actually told me the only use for ColorSync to calibrate my monitor.

Thank you, Peter. I don't think you misread the first part. And yes, it would be helpful to know where to find a photography board where folks are sending work to PODs and selling through e-commerce. I'd be happy to reciprocate with the name of a superb print service bureau of the 4-color-4-tower kind. They are taking the color reproduction on our one-off book as seriously as they take the work they do for the Smithsonian.
I know the part about copying profiles to the HD, User folder, App Support. I just haven't been able to do it successfully. I have figured out that drag-and-drop doesn't work.
Though the profiles don't show up in the ColorSync lists where I would like to see them, I have managed to bungle through using the PSB's recommended customized SWOP profile as the working space and converting to the recommended CMYK profile, and managed to bungle through calibrating my monitor with an EyeOne and setting up the correct color-neutral and D50 ambient light environment so the WYSIWYG is pretty much spot on. Then managed to bungle through correcting the color in Camera Raw successfully.
I know the bungling has been successful, because in the test Wet proofs I just got back from Hong Kong the color match with the fabrics in the photos is just about perfect. (insert celebratory happy face).
We're looking for a POD to print posters. If you can recommend a photog board, I would appreciate it.

As I understand it, you can use multiple payment types on a purchase at BestBuy.com, but you are limited to only one credit card per transaction.
I have an Amex gift card, that I believe Best Buy would consider as a credit card, that I would like to use on a purchase, but it is not enough to cover the whole cost. Can you make a payment online using a credit card and Paypal (that way the purchase is using only 1 credit card), or are you limited to just one or the other?

This is a fantastic question! You are correct that a gift card branded with a major credit card logo, such as American Express, would be considered a credit card by our system. Sadly, you wouldn't be able to combine a credit card payment with a payment from PayPal as well. I apologize for any disappointment that this news may bring you. With that said, you may combine PayPal or a credit card payment method with Best Buy gift cards or My Best Buy rewards certificates. Hi! So I haven't used iTunes in a few months but I just got an iTunes gift card and want to make a purchase. iTunes redeemed it just fine but now that I want to make a purchase I am having problems. I can't remember my security question answers and iTunes is requesting them. I have two other verified emails but the are NOT rescue emails. I can't contact iTunes over the phone because my phone lines are out and are going to be out for a long time. The only way I can contact them is by email. How can I do this? Is there an easy way to just reset all my security questions? Please help a girl out. I just want my music!

G4 displays flashing question mark and blue face at start-up

like the title says, my powerbook refuses to go to the desktop and instead gives me a dark screen and in the center you can just make out a folder icon and on the folder icon flashes a question mark and then that picasso-esque blue smiley face. these two images flash sequentially, one after another.
this started happening about three days ago. the day it started, i got up, checked my email, and then shut the computer down. but then i saw the soft light flashing on the closed laptop that tells me that it is still on. so i figured that i hadn't completed the shut down process all the way. i opened the laptop and almost knocked it off the perch it was on. i grabbed it in time to prevent it from falling, but in the process i mashed some buttons with my thumb. when i turned on the computer, it briefly flashed the desktop and then went dark and started flashing the icons as i described above.
i am in japan right now, so getting ahold of apple in the states is somewhat difficult. any amount of help is very much appreciated. i've already tried a full shutdown by taking the battery out and holding down the power button for 5 seconds, as described on the apple website. this didn't work. i'm not sure which version of OS i have, but i'm pretty sure it is at least 10.0. i got the computer last year right as tiger was coming out.

also, the power icon on the power button is not showing any light, and it wasn't showing any light for a day or so before this event happened.

Applications should not disappear all by themselves.
If they are then that coud indicate serious problems with your hard drive.
Backup everything up as quickly as possible.
Using Disk Utility verify your system disk.

Now I have a requirement to read the question id and answer id which is generally in the below format.

Please let me know how can i retrieve the the question id and answer id with the above inputs.

If they do nothing at all, double check system preferences/speech and make sure they have not somehow gotten set as the trigger for Text to speech or speech recognition, etc.
Also try an external keyboard. If it works ok, then your internal keyboard is probably damaged and needs repair or replacement.

How to validate prerequisite for ODP and Oracle Client connection

I have a very simple application on .Net that connect to Oracle using ODP (was compiled with Oracle.DataAccess dll 10.2).
I want to check "connection prerequisite" (application will be able to connect to DB) before installing this aplication on other computers?
How can I check that ODP.NET version 10.2 or higher is installed on target host (registry check is not enopugh)?
I know that I can check ODP entries in registry - but this will not check Oracle Client and compatibility between client and ODP.
Also, if ODP was installed by ODAC XCopy installation - registry may be not updated by new ODP entry.
And - if I am installing on the computer, DB was installed on, Oracle Client can be not installed separately.
And one more issue: When I tried to run "test connection" method from installation, that use referenced dll on machine, that has only ODAC (with ODP) 11, - "Oracle.DataAccess.Client.OracleException The provider is not compatible with the version of Oracle client at Oracle.DataAccess.Client.OracleInit.Initialize()
at Oracle.DataAccess.Client.OracleConnection..cctor()" error message was thrown (policies for both ODAC 10.2 and 11 are exists in GAC (assembly), pointing to Oracle.DataAccess 11 from ODP 2x bin).
So, How and which components can I check to ensure appropriate versions of ODP and Oracle Client were installed and application will be connected?

Hi,
You could check for the presense of Oracle.DataAccess.dll in the GAC. Bear in mind you'd also want to check the version and whether a policy files exists as well as a newer version + policy file will work too (but not without the policy file).
That wouldn't confirm the install is valid and works though, and I don't know of a way you could easily check that, apart from perhaps simply trying to run a small exe that attempts a connection to the database.
With respect to the type initializer exception, that occurs when ODP cant find the right oraops*.dll or oci.dll, usually due to the wrong one being found, but can also occur if one is not found at all. Quite often this is due to the application including ODP in its bin directory rather than letting ODP get picked up out of the gac. Prior to 10.2.0.2.20, ODP loads the dependencies based in PATH so multiple homes can cause it as well. 10.2.0.2.20 and higher ODP loads dll's based on DLLPATH registry entry.
