$209 bill for 2 weeks service??

I signed up for XFINITY because AT&T service in my area sucks and those are the only 2 providers. AT&T only goes up to 8mbps for $64/month while XFINITY was only $54 (including modem rental) for 75mbps. The 1st day or 2 it worked great but after that it was horrible. It would only work with an ethernet cable so I would have to stand in front of the modem to plug in my laptop using ethernet. I called them and they had me run speed tests on my phone and laptop. My phone went up to 6mbps while the laptop only did 0.69mbps without the cable. They said they would send someone out. The guy came 3 days later and all he did was run a test on his phone and told me to buy a $60 wireless adapter for all the devices I want to connect. I called XFINITY the next day to cancel and they said I won't be charged anything ($54.99 internet, $99 installation) I cancelled on the 16th, dropped of my equipment at the store on the 19th and they finally shut off my service on the 27th. On 7-30 i get 3 different bills for $209 for $100 installation, $55 internet and modem and $50 service fee and about $4 in other taxes and fees. I called and they told me they would adjust it but as of now 8-5 aka 6 days later its still $209.. I'm so glad I didnt set up auto pay like i usually do for my credit card and car insurance. I used the service for about 2 days and cancelled after 7 days and they want $209.. Ridiculous. Id rather go to starbucks with my laptop every day and get a frap then pay ATT or XFNTY $55 or $64

I then, had it enrolled it in my company's  ATT service plan. They paid the bill for my service. Since, I have left the company. I have retained, and assumed financial responsibility for the phone, and the phone number with AT&T. The same day I assumed ifinancial responsibility, I had the phone number ported to a new service provider. ( Straight Talk ) After doing so, my phone worked fine. (as far as cellular service) NO DATA Service !!!! I have been on the phone with AT&T, Straight Talk, and Apple, FOR HOURS over TWO days!!! Trying  to get this problem resolved. All I need to do, is change my APN settings (access point name ) settings. Its  my phone!!! Why does any body have this APN menu locked from me??? I've been on the phone for two days between, AT&T, Straight Talk, and Apple products technical support teams. Everybody points the finger at the next guy!! What can I do to get the phone, that I paid for, work  for more than just a phone, and a paper weigh?

Wow... you seriously over paid for an iPhone.
That probably explains why you have/had no clue you were purchasing a locked device and think it's an Apple problem to get it unlocked.

  • Billing for External Services to Customer

    Hi All,
Please advice how to bill customer for External Services like civil work etc.
My client uses services from external companies so if they have contract with customer for that, after completing the work they want to bill it to customer ,pls advice.
    Muzamil

    Muzamil,
If you are using projects, you can create an external or service activity depending upon whether you are entitling the vendor to perform some work or a service. Once you create and release the network activity, a purchase requisition is created, which then will be converted into a purchase order by your purchasing department. The purchase requisition/order commitment will appear on the network activity (project) and when the vendor sends you a goods receipt/invoice (depending on configuration), your project receives the cost. Then, depending on how you are billing your customer, you could incorporate these costs also into your customer billing.
If you need further explanation on billing, please write back with details about how you are billing your customers currently (if based on a project).
    Regards,
    Venkat.

  • Billed for non service

Bt were supposed to install broadband and phone on 5th December but kept delaying and finally installed it on 12th February. In the meantime I have. Been billed for installation, even though I was told it would be free, billed from December to February for broadband even though I never had any service. I have rang numerous times and each time I was told I dont need to pay And ignore. But I was then getting late payment charges! I rang up again and was told they had no record of it and I had to pay. I spoke to cancellations and they told me they would wipe the bill, the cancellation team were English. A few days later, I get an email to say I need to pay my bill. Rang up and an Indian man said they had no record of my bill being wiped, but they will do it. So tonight (18.2.2015) I get a call from collections saying I will be cut off tomorrow for not paying my bill. If this doesn't get resolved I will be taking this up with watchdog or ofcom.

I have asked a moderator to provide assistance, they will post an invite on this thread.

  • Credit Reporting....Separte bills for one account?

I have been contacted by multiple collection agencies regarding a $27 dollar verizon charge that I have no previous record of.  I recieved the first collection notice in May 2011 (Recievables Performance Management, LLC).  The account number in question did not match my Verizon account so I requested debt validation from the agency (certified letter) and email and never recieved a response.  I also contacted Verizon customer service at this same time asking for validation and the rep informed me that  once the account is sent to collections, I would have to work through them for validation.  The agency then sold the account to another agency (CBE Group) in June of 2011.  I again said that the  account number did not match my verizon number (the last number in the account was different) and formally requested data validation via certified mail and email and no response was given.  I contacted CBE to follow-up on this and they now deny having any record of this collection in their system.
I am attempting to purchase a home and this issue is appearing on my credit report and severly damaging my score.  I spoke to a verizon rept last night and she indicated that this $27 charge was a balance transfer from my intial activiation and that the different account numbers were actually the same account and the different numbers at the end represented different levels of the one account. She said this numbering of accounts should have been apparent to me and that the differnt numbers should not have been a concern.  She said bills for the $27 were sent to me but when she listed the address it was a very old address.  She said I should have updated my address. However, I did update my address as evidenced by the fact that my regular monthly bills for my service charges were being sent to the correct address.  She also asked why I didn't pay the bill the first time I contacted Verizon in May--I was never given the option.   (As an aside, after I expressed sincere concern and extreme frustration about my ability to purchase my first home due to Verizon's billing practices, she asked me if I was interested in adding any additional lines or services, which I found a bit disturbing and contrary to common sense given the context of my call.)
If this is one account why did the $27 never show up on my regular bill or on my account when I accessed it online?  If I have one account, why was I billed for different charges to different addresses?   I was paying my regular verizon bill each month, so how could I have known there was a separate bill going to an old address?  When I activated my new phone I did it at the verizon store and the representative indicated that I had paid in full but this $27 dollar fee shows up months later via collections?
Out of frustration, I paid the $27 balance to Verizon yesterday to have the debt pulled back from collections and to change the status on my credit report to paid-- mortgages will not be processed within open disputes.   However, Verizon refuses to remove a credit entry once it is made.   I can't believe Verizon is willing to destroy my credit and my ability to secure a mortgage over this issue. I also am frustrated that Verizon says I have one account with them but when it comes to billing I miraculously have 2.   I have had no luck with Verizon customer service or contacting them via email so I am putting this here.   This has been the absolute worst experience with a company I have ever had....I want to terminate my contract but am afraid of what kind of unfair billing from Verizon would be next.

  • BT bill charges for non service during moving hous...

BT dreadful customer service & incompetence
    Hi all,
After deciding to move home I made the necessary arrangements with BT prior to our moving date. Our switch over date was 14th November 2014.
After numerous calls with BT and mostly dealing with multiple BT operators with little knowledge, poor communication skills, lack of interest and on a few occasions extreme rudeness, I was still no further forward with a line connection date.
It became apparent that there was no line services to my new home, which I could understand although I was disappointed not to have been informed of the situation prior to my moving home (a fact BT should be easily aware of)
I spent weeks going round and round with no clear outcomes or specific information returning to me, I actually knew more information from the site builders than BT knew, BT even had the arrogance to tell me that my information from the builders was incorrect (which it wasn't)
Numerous misinformation, conflicting information, non returning of calls, engineer dates that were not upheld, non required engineer dates are amongst a series of frustrating dealings with the vast majority of the BT operators, there were only a few operators that seemed to care and assist and they were at the end of my ordeal of 3 months!!!!!
It was very clear that the information from each phone call between myself and BT was not correctly recorded. On two separate occasions during a singular phone call I actually had to repeat my situation to three separate operators to which I had become accustomed to being transferred amongst.
So to be clear from 14th November 2014 until late February 2015 we were without services.
During one of my many and expensive mobile phone calls to BT I was advised to set up my own mobile broadband and they would foot the bill and repay the expense until they provided a service.
(Which I did as I had no confidence in a connection date within months)
Throughout this ordeal BT had the arrogance to attempt to bill me, even though we had no service!!!!
    Here is the kicker.
BT have now disconnected us from their service (31st March2015) for an unpaid bill, a bill we can't get amended and corrected to reflect the 3 months without their incompetent service.
They have even added charges for BT sports which I can't even watch as I have no viewing box, I believe this came free for 6 months) with my original package.
Even this is an issue. I was informed upon moving house that a new contract would commence when I moved home thus starting the 6 months free BT sports package once more (yet another mistake by BT)
We will not pay any form of bill until they amend and correct the bill to reflect we had no service for 3 months.
I have now tried to call to speak to an operator regarding the issue, after entering my home phone number the BT automated service redirects me to the only option which is to pay the outstanding bill!!!
No bill will be paid until it is corrected, I will be sending a bill for the mobile broadband I required to set up and maintain. I am also considering looking into the loss of earnings I suffered due to the length of time I was offline, as well as the amount of time required to deal with the sorry mess. A stressful time enough moving home without this added fiasco.
I am also aware of the Ofcom regulatory body as well as the multiple rules BT will have breached in our contract.
All in all we have endured a long and needlessly complicated mess, which thinking was behind us, is in fact still present. We are seriously considering removing our service completely with BT which I am sure in the eyes of the law will be justified and legally binding due to the numbers of contract breaches sustained by BT.

  • I have been a customer with Verizon, since 1996. Recently, my husband has been added onto my account. We have both been experience drop calls. My husband contact Tech support for over 2 weeks. We were pretty upset to be paying a lot of money for a service

I have been a customer with Verizon, since 1996. Recently, my husband has been added onto my account. We have both been experience drop calls. My husband contact Tech support for over 2 weeks. We were pretty upset to be paying a lot of money for a service that didn't work. Verizon advised us that would upgrade both of our phones (to see if that solved the problem). Ok...this is where Verizon has forgotten customer service rules. He order 2 phone...one for himself, one for me. 1st the wrong address on the package..Fedex couldn't deliver...2nd...missing condo number Fedex couldn't deliver again...(2nd call to Verizon)...3rd package was finally deliver with 1 phone...missing my phone. Contacted verizon rep...reorder my phone again..but sorry we cannot give the same price as quoted on 21April...even though...its our mistake...Ok...Ok..what a surprise..but we can do this...after 65 minutes...found a price that was a little bit more...fine...just order the phone....I reordered phone on 28April...on the April 29...no email..so I can Verizon for the 4times in a few days..sorry your order was delay due to our Fraud dept. OK...talked to fraud dept...ok..account is good..will release phone and ship. OK...Next day, no email with deliver confimation. Contact Verizon 5 times now...sorry..your order was cancelled...YES...cancelled again...2nd time now...but we can reorder...OK...sorry but we cannot honor that price that was quoted..really...agent messed up...again...but we can do this for you....I don't understand...your mistake...ALL the times...
Strange ...how my order gets cancelled twice by Verizon's mistake....yet you cannot honor prices that your agents quoted!!!
I didn't reorder the phone....I cannot in good faith same with a company that does not stand behind their own mistakes...and worse...they make the poor customer pay for it...
I will not be renewing my contact...its time to Cricket Wirless...which my sister-in-law loves for half the cost....

I hope that you aren't complaining about dropped calls INSIDE your condo because no amount of switching or upgrading devices will solve that.
VZW will not guarantee service inside of any structure. There are just too many factors. If the problem is inside then you might want to look at one of the following:
1.) Network Extender (may cause issues for others in a condo or apartment style setting)
2.) A Google Voice Number (Free with a Gmail email address), downloading Google Hangouts Dialer and forwarding your calls to the GVN so that you can make and receive calls over Wi-Fi.

  • I have a bill for £212 even though my service has ...

I ordered BT phone and broadband in December and paid a year ahead on my credit card. The date for the engineer to call was 2nd January - I waited in all day, but he didn't arrive. I called BT on the day and cancelled the order, the person I spoke to apologised and refunded my credit card.
A few days later, a payment of £178 was taken from my bank account. I tried to dispute this with BT, but could only get through to the call centre in India, who could see no record of the transaction. Fortunately, my bank could and recalled the money. Since then I have been bombarded with calls and letters from BT, demanding payment for a service which has never been provided. I have spoken to India on numerous occasions and have been told that this has been sorted out, but now I've received a bill for £212, including a "late payment fee". Despite contacting BT by email through the site, I have not had a response. My last contact assured me that I would get a final bill totalling zero but clearly this has still not been resolved.
The poor communication from this telecommunications company has been atrocious. Attempting to transfer calls between departments has always failed and I've ended up with the call centre in India once again, who refuse to escalate the complaint and are clearly powerless to make decisions on this account. The constant demands for payment are tantamount to harrassment. I'm posting on here to see if this can be resolved by a member of customer service, who are inaccessible by phone.
    Solved!

  • Is it necessary to create a Billing Plan for the Service Contracts

    Hi All,
Is it necessary to create a billing plan for the service contracts.
      My requirement.
In CRM 7.0, we created a service contract. For the item in that service contract there is a Billing Plan tab.
In that tab we have the dates for Period, Billing Date etc.
Now our requirement is to get the Billing Date quarterly. For this we created date rules and date profiles and assigned these date profiles to header and item level transactions.
And we are able to see the date rules under the drop down of the billing date.
I copied the standard date rule BILL004 to ZBILL004.
But when we changed to our date rule it is not changing to quarterly date.
Can you please let me know  what are the configurations to be done for this.
Is the billing plan has to be created for this kind of scenario.
    Thanks in advance
    Thanks and Regards,

  • Billing for service orders

I need to be able to bill for some of the service orders as a requirement of my client.
Has anyone done the config in SD for this before?
If I do not want to use SD is there another option to use?
Any help would be great and will award points.
    Thanks,
    AD

    Hi AD
There are two options provided by SAP for billing custmer service
    1. One way I earlier explained is by creating Sales Order .In this u can create service order automatically & Bill the Custmer
    2. Second way is to use DP90 in which u have to create a billing request which can be used for RRB(Resource Related Billing) using DIP profile
So in summary it can be processes with Sales /Service Order as per your need

  • Service billing for inspection testing

    Hi folks,
My client is a testing laboratory where they receive samples from external company. Tested results are sent back to the customer along with a test certificate and is billed for the testing carried out.
I have two things to clarify
    1) how is the sample receipt to be taken
    2) How the customer to be billed with respect to the testing done
Stringent requirement. Suggestions are most welcome
    Regars,
    Sravan

    Hi
This is a kind of service. So you can use service scenarios
    1) how is the sample receipt to be taken
Make use of Texts at sales order level. Once the lab tests are over user has to fill the report outcome to that respective text in sales order. Create a new output type which will print the required info.
    2) How the customer to be billed with respect to the testing done
Categorize the services company is provide to customers and Create service material for those services.
Create sales order for that service material and rest same as standard process maintain price in VK11 Or maintain manually. Once the sales order is complete means your company end user has filled the sales order text, create final invoice and take print.
Produce both the printouts to customer.
    Please close one thread.
