25mb download speed... doesn't exist

My mom purchased  Verizon's package for phone, internet and tv and I did many speed test that claim that  she's getting close to 25mb download speed and 15mb upload.
But i've never see this happen when I actually download any thing off the internet.  The maximum speed is 2.33mb/per sec  Why is Verizon advertising and selling 25mb download speed when it isn't even possible to get near that speed.  Isn't this false advertising? I'm willing to listen but I find it very hard to understand.

Also remember that your speed is not the only one in question. The question is how fast can they send it to you?
As an example. Lets say you have 20/5 and I have 20/5
You can take it from me at 20 but I can only send it at 5 so you will only get 5.
But that leaves you 15 left over that you can go out and play with. So you can get many files all at the same time until you reach your 20 limit.
So no matter how fast your connection is, if the other side is slower, you get it slower. Your only as fast as the slowest link in the chain.

  • "Unlimited" BT Broadband - Download speeds locked ...

Since February 16th something has been choking my broadband connection literally pretty much to death. 15kbps download speed doesn't constitute broadband. That is, nevertheless, pretty much all we've been getting.

Already had an engineer round, called for a reset - seemed to fix the problem for a few days - that held almost good for 8 whole days however, come peak - broad band would throttle down. Now its back to what it was, throttled to 15kbps. Doesn't mater what you try to download or where you download it from - p2p or http - makes no difference.
Current maximum just about makes 15kbps.
How do I get this fixed, please? Getting pretty **bleep** PO'd.

... I've been connected to the **bleep** test socket since February, John. The engineer even fitted us with a brand spanky new socket, just to eliminate any possibility of bad copper.
Now peak is over, indeed. Yes. Download speeds are higher. Currently notching up 167kbps! Three minutes ago I crossed the Heisenberg Threashold, ended up in 1947 and shot my own Grandfather....
Never time travel with a loaded gun, John. It's bound to end in shinanikins.
But. On a serious note. We're supposed to be getting between 1-2mbps on this thing, John. Now we're on unlimited. That's what we're supposed to be getting. Highest it has yet gone is 300kbps. That's the best it does.
We don't switch off the hub. I've had it running constantly. **bleep** thing keeps dropping its connection. Doesn't do it when speeds are up. buy when they're crawling - and by this I mean litterally struggling to make it up to 15kbps - the poor thing probably feels like its had it's throat cut.
PS: Thank you for the info. We use adsl filtered NTE5 faceplate. Enginner checked the line March 6th. Lines fine - he found the problem came down to the SNR being set to 15db Interleaved when (for our distance from the exhange box) really we should be set to 9 db Interleaved. Called for a remote reset - immediate pick up. This held fine for about 8 days but, as the days went by - speeds started dropping as peak kicked in - now we're in the possition we are.
The question is how do we get this fixed.
Pretty sure the problem is with the Automated Traffic Nazi at the exchange. When it throttles back the line - the Hub 3 drops the connection. When the Hub 3 drops the connection....

  • Download speed of drivers from Creative

'? Well, I just bought the Creative WoW Wireless Headset which I know was a mistake. I'll return it when I get the chance of course. But I'd at least like to try it for a few days.
So now I'm trying to download the drivers for it but the download speed is currently 0.6 kB/s which means I should be finished downloading the 66 MB driver in a few weeks or so. I tried to go to the Canadian website but it doesn't exist anymore? (broken link maybe lol)
Is there a way to download the drivers for it without having to wait 30 days and lose my chance of being able to return it for my $200 back? Ex. someone upload the driver to an uploading site please!
Edit: Oh great, I have to clear my cookies because I can't visit creative.com anymore...just redirects me to?http://ca.uat.clok.creative.com/?which DOES NOT EXIST!

I have actually tried various set-ups.
My first was to store my movies on an external drive attached to my iMac upstairs - Result = constant pauses. I also tried changing to different channels on my Time Capsule.
My second set-up was to see if there was a problem with the connection due to the fact my iMac was upstairs and my ATV and TC downstairs. So, I used my PowerBook downstairs, therefore it is in the same room as my ATV and TC - Result = Same problem as above
My 3rd set-up was to put my movies on the TC but still the same problem
Then of course I tried the wired set-up I spoke about and that's fine. I have also tried various other settings like changing the channel on my TC changing the Multicast rate etc etc but no joy.
The thing is my internet connection is fine, no problems at all and I also have a Sonos wireless music system which works without any problems whatsoever. I can only assume that for whatever reason it just does not like the amount of bandwidth needed to stream video. I have 3 computers that use the TC but when I try to stream anything I ensure everything is shut down and it is only the iMac that is sending data so not to clog up the bandwidth.
I should also point out that I am using a new iMac (nearly new) 2GHz Intel Core Duo with 2 GB RAM, so it shouldn't be a problem with the Mac.

  • How to deauthorize a computer , that doesn't exist anymore?

I unisnstalled windows , and for some reason when i inserted my ipod to the freshly installed windows+itunes , and logged on my account , iTunes said , that its a new computer and asked me to authorize it , and so i did.
My question is: how can i deauthorize my old version of windows , that doesn't exist anymore?
I also have another question in this topic : When i want to buy items from itunes from a new device , it asks for my bank card number , and takes 1-2 dollars from it. Is this ok?

Take a look at this Apple support article; it may help:
One computer using multiple iTunes Store authorizations
When i want to buy items from itunes from a new device , it asks for my bank card number , and takes 1-2 dollars from it. Is this ok?
I'm not sure what you mean by this. What "items"? If you are referring to music, videos or movies, you get only one download per purchase, so if you buy the items again, whether from another device or the same one, yes, you will be charged again. Only apps allow redownloading without additional charge.
    Regards.

  • New Infinity 2 poor real life download speeds

    Hi
I'm hoping someone can help. I had infinity 2 installed on Tuesday and have had poor download speeds since. Now I use mainly iPads and iPhones for connecting to the internet.
My connection downstream on my modem says I'm connected at 78.12 Mbps however I can stand right next to it and try download something from sky go and this downloads at 11-12mbps. This doesn't seem right to me however as it is wireless devices the BT help centre will not help me.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Are you sure that it is your speeds that are slow or are you possibly confusing your Megabyte (MB) with Megabit (Mb)
A Megabyte (used for file size) and a Megabit (used for download speeds). People often assume that a download speed of 1 Megabit per second (1 Mbps) will allow them to download a 1 Megabyte file in one second. This is not the case, a Megabit is 1/8 as big as a Megabyte, meaning that to download a 1MB file in 1 second you would need a connection of 8Mbps. Most downloads are shown as MB/s
If this is not the problem can you use this speed tester then carry out the further diagnostics and post back a screen shot of all the results including your IP profile for up and down. This test must be done with a wired connection for an accurate reading.

  • V e e e r r y   S l o o o o w  Movie Rental Download Speeds

My setup: In my home office is a cable modem connected to my locally owned and operated ISP's coax feed. It's a city operated fiber network (Ashland Fiber Network), not a ComCast/Charter/Verizon conglomerate. The modem is connected to a Time Capsule (500 MB) via ethernet. Also connected to the Time Caspsule via Ethernet is a 2.4 GHz 24" iMac. The Apple TV is in my living room about 30' away through one wood-frame wall.
I get consistent >8 Mb/sec download speeds from Speedtest.net both on my office (Ethernet) iMac and on my MacBook via 802.11g while sitting next to the Apple TV in my living room. The Apple TV shows 5 bars on its signal strength meter, and is running the latest (2.02) software. I have the Airport Utility setup to run 802.11n (802.11b/g compatible) so that it'll work with both the Apple TV and my 802.11g MacBook. There are no 2.4 GHz wireless phones in my house, and no other WiFi devices connected. There are several other WiFi networks within range in my neighborhood, but I use WPA2 Personal security to isolate my network.
My problem: I have tried only 1 SD movie download. but it took 37 minutes to reach "Ready to Play," and then choked after playing for 56 minutes. So rather than wait for more of the movie to download, I went to bed and watched the rest of it the next day. I've rented 2 HD movies, the first download notice told me that it would take 13 hours to be ready to play, and the next said 11 hours. Both times I just went to bed and watched the movie the next day.
Trailers generally take anywhere from 2-5 mins. to begin playing, and they almost always choke after about a minute and have to download more to continue playing. They play much faster on my iMac when downloaded from Apple's Quicktime site, though I can't be sure if different servers are involved there.
This scenario does not jibe at all with what Apple tells me I should expect from the Apple TV, nor with what I read about here on the Apple Discussion boards.
Things I've tried: 1) Changing the WiFi channel from Auto to a discrete channel--I've tried four different channels now. 2) Switching to 802.11n only--both at 2.4 GHz and at 5 Ghz. 3) Unplugging and removing the batteries from my 5.8 GHz wireless phones. 4) Moving the Apple TV a 6' HDMI cable's length away from the TV and sound system in my living room. 4) Resetting everything several times, even once back to 2.0 before reinstalling 2.02. 5) I even unplugged the microwave in the kitchen. About the only obvious thing I haven't yet tried is stringing an ethernet cable from my Time Capsule to the Apple TV because I don't have one that long and would rather not strip down my entire setup just to test that. But it looks like I'm going to have to.
I've had four conversations with Apple tech support, the last one after being bumped up to level 2 support. They had me do (among other things) a 100-ping test using Network Utility between the my iMac and the Apple TV--no dropped packets and the network speed was, according to them, well within spec. When I told them all the other stuff I've tried, they had no suggestion other than: "Something is interfering with your signal."
I took the Apple TV to my local Apple Authorized Dealer (the nearest Apple Store is 300 miles away). It checked out fine and ran great on their network. I got to try downloading a few trailers there and they ran almost instantaneously. Now, they informed me that their network runs at ~15 Mb/sec, but they also have about 30 computers hooked up to it.
Anyway, I read here that almost all of you are seeing much faster download speeds on your Apple TVs, even those of you with DSL. And it seems pretty clear that I'm experiencing some sort of interference here, but can't seem to locate the source. So, my question is: What other possible sources of interference might I be getting, and how might I go about locating them?

    cause i bot stock wrote:
How does downloading via your iMac respond?
I haven't tried downloading a movie from iTunes to see if there's a substantial difference, and you can't rent HD movies from iTunes, only SD. Trailers download faster, but there's no telling if they're coming from the same servers as Apple TV's trailers (nor if iTunes movies are, for that matter).
I'm quick to blame the time capsule and time machine. Similar to your problems with AppleTV, I've never had time machine work properly. All it does is suck up all my resources while taking days to do anything.
Unlike some, I've had zero setup or operating problems with my Time Capsule. Works like a charm and doesn't seem to slow anything down on my iMac as far as I can tell.

  • Transmit rate vs. Download speed: should I switch everything to 5GHZ or does it matter?

Thanks in advance for any help that you can give me. I am not well-schooled in networking so, after doing a lot of research and not being able to get clarity, I figured I would write what I understand and hope that somebody here could point me in the right direction. I have 3 airport stations (a time capsule dual band is the primary and 2 airport expresses) and they are all ethernet wired. All my devices are 802.11n capable and all the base stations are n capable. I have no strictly b/g devices, only n devices. No matter what base station a device is connected to, the speedtest.net rate is about 17mbps (I pay for 18mbps) so that is good. However, the "transmit rate" (and I don't really understand what this does) varies depending on what base station my device hooks into. Whenever I am near the time capsule (primary station), my devices hook in at 5Ghz and I get a transmit rate of about 240 to 300 and a 17mbps download speed. But when I hook into either of the other 2 aiport expresses, it shows that I am hooked into 2.4Ghz and the transmit rate is about 50 to 130, but I still get the 17mbps download speed. I know I can change both expresses to only do 5Ghz. Keep in mind, the speedtest.net test always shows about 17mbps download speed no matter what base station my device connects to. I am not sure I understand what the transmit rate indicates. I want to make my network the fastest it can be no matter what base station I use.
So, my question is should I change the other 2 airport extreme base stations to operate as 5Ghz n network only so that I have 5Ghz operating throughout my whole house which will give a higher "transmit rate" and will that make my experience faster even though I already get maximum 17mbps download speed? Also, if you could, please explain to me the difference between ISP download speed and "transmit rate" because I don't really understand the difference...I mean how does download speed affect my experience vs. how does transmit rate affect my experience? Do I really need to have a higher "transmit rate" to increase my speed or is just having 17mbps download speed necessary and the transmit rate doesn't matter?
One other thing you might need to know: I don't have any 2.4 ghz devices that might interfere with my network (my cordless phones are 1.9Ghz)
    Thanks again for the help.

Think of it like this.. Change moving data in air to water in pipes.
You have a 1/2" pipe coming from the ISP into your house..
Inside your house you have 5" and 2" pipes.. (this represents the speeds or flow rate if you like, 1/2" is all the ISP gives you.. but your ethernet is a huge pipe.. think of it as infinite for this situation,, and 5" pipe that is 5ghz and 2" pipe is 2.4ghz.. this is just illustration remember it is area not diameter that matters).
If you transfer files between the computer on the TC to the TC hard disk.. you get all the 5" pipe.. very fast.
If you copy a file between computer on the TC and device on the express.. you are limited by the 2" pipe.. everything goes at the speed the 2" pipe can manage.
Now you do something with internet.. 5" pipe can get the same throughput as the 2" pipe because it is only 1/2"
Pipes btw are still in imperial even if you are in a metric country pretty often.
But I hope that illustrates the situation..
If a computer on 5" pipe and computer on 2" pipe are both trying to access internet .. they both still have to share the 1/2" pipe. In a perfect world they both get half your 18mbps if they are accessing it at the same time.. (QoS represent a flow valve that says this pipe should get more flow even if it is smaller so I shut the valve down on 5" to make sure it only gets what the 2" can get.. no more.. to be fair.).
Same as water in pipes.. the 1/2" pipe can never fill the 5" or even the 2" pipe.. the 2" cannot fill the 5" so the fastest would be everything on 5" pipes.. since you are unlikely to be able to afford a 5" pipe from the ISP then you accept everything is going to go slower when internet is involved.
    Jumping out of my illustration..
Apple made 2.4ghz max out at 150mbps..
Although some of the later stuff can get better than that,, 217mbps.
The 5ghz is faster because it is has more bandwidth.. up to 1200mbps in the newest AC .. 450 on Gen3,4 TC and 300 on the older gen1,2
BUT the range is poor.. so generally better sticking with 2.4ghz for express.. they are not high power devices at all.
2.4ghz  has better range and penetration.. you are going to be just fine with internet access.. and your setup is actually working really well.. There are some overheads on wireless so you do not quite hit wired speeds.

  • More Than One Computer Trying to Access Web = Very Slow Download Speeds?

We have Verizon DSL with a basic Westell modem, which supposedly is only a modem with no router capabilities. We have an Airport Extreme Snow Base Station that acts as a WDS Main, with one other AEB Snow as a WDS Remote. All computers have unique ip addresses in the 10.0.1.X range as provided by the WDS Main's DHCP.
When only one computer connects to the internet to download web pages, software updates, etc., there seems to be no problem at all. When I do a speed check I get results that seem to be in the correct range, and it doesn't matter which computer I use for the test.
However, if we try to access the internet with more than one computer at the same time, everything slows to a crawl. Such as, if one computer is downloading software updates, the other CPUs have super slow web page downloads, slow to the point of connection time-outs at times. Or if two of the computers are simply trying to download web pages at the same time, one or the other has super slow downloads.
I feel like there is some kind of routing problem with the Base Station but for the life of me I cannot figure it out.
What could the problem be? Where could it originate, and what, if any, advice could someone give me to help trace the problem?
    Thanks in advance.

... the one computer I am looking at right now shows DNS servers as 10.0.1.1, which is the internal ip address of the AEB. Could this be part of the problem?
That is normal and shouldn't cause a problem. Essentially it tells the computer to ask the snow AirPort base station (ABS) for DNS information. The ABS will then provide the DNS information which it currently received from the ISP.
Would it help if I manually entered the DNS numbers that appear on the AEB on each machine's Network Preferences?
Probably not. A busy DNS server or faulty DNS info won't affect download speeds. That only affects browsing since that requires the computer to convert human readable addresses to numbers that the computer can use.
Remember that the snow ABS only operates at 802.11b (11 Mbps) speeds. Then when you use WDS it cuts your available wireless bandwidth in half.

  • Error help- "the operation could not be performed ...file... doesn't exist"?

    Hi,
I am experiencing some probmels with ICE and can't find a reason for why.  I was able to edit the pages on the site through ICE about a month ago, but the client just let me know they can't do anything for any page.  I also can't do anything for any pages I was able to previously edit.  Basicall, I get this error message after being able to log in, edit page, and click save draft/ changes I get the following error:
"The operation could not be performed because the file can't be accessed or doesn't exist..."
I have looked extensively at these threads: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/444356?tstart=60
    and http://forums.adobe.com/thread/432559?tstart=0
From that I have tried the following:
Made sure passive FTP was working properly
Verified FTP Dreamweaver connection with same FTP account: all is good and i can change and put the pages in question on the server.
Verified tags in page (I think I have most pages correct.- although I know some are still not div tagged correct, but don't think thee issues are related.)
verified that the directory settings on the adobe account (which is the root) is only "/"
Tried editing in both Safari and FF and the client tried in IE and FF (all most recent versions I think)
No progress has been made.  Actually now my adobe account for managing my sites is not allowing me to manage "settings" for this site either.  The tab is there but doesn't have the word settings on it and therefore I can't click it anymore
Here is the site: www.extremecommunitymakeover.org.  I know for sure I WAS able to edit the index, get involved, and contact us pages a moth ago and now I get the error.
Also- another maybe related problem is that I can't actually duplicate or create new pages via ICE.  Everything I try to name the new page gets kicked back and the dialog box says error says the "file extension is invalid".
So- I seem to have a couple problems possibly all related to each other and your help would be much appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Sean

Here's the setup on the two machines in particular...
    Machine #1:
    XP Pro
    Was IE7, now latest FF
    No antivirus
Firewall – Windows Firewall, Downloaded AVG free trial ver., but not installed
    Machine #2:
    XP Pro
    IE7
Again, No AV… had Kaspersky… but uninstalled it
    Windows Firewall
Maybe that could be of some assistance... not seeing anything that could possibly block or inhibit the ICE. Each machine is independent of the other, separate networks, different locations, JavaScript enabled, no cookie blockers, etc.

Attempting to upgarde itunes and I get an error message looking for "an alternate path to a folder containing 'iTunes.msi' location.  I've searched my hard drive and the file doesn't exist.  What to do?

This worked...found on a prior discussion:
Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from the following page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page)...
    http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4459
From the link above (near the top of the page)....Under 'download locations'   click on 'download@majorgeeks'
To install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you just downloaded and ran.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
    Restart your computer.
Re-download Itunes (latest version form Itunes website) and install.  It worked!

  • Can't Completely Uninstall an App That Doesn't Exist Anymore

Alright, so I've got a very run-of-the-mill, mid-2011 Macbook Air (1.6 GHz Intel Core i5, 2 GB 1333 MHz DDR3, running Yosemite) and everything really does run just fine. The only issue I've been having is completely eliminating traces of a particular app that actually doesn't exist anymore.
Some time ago, I downloaded a little To-Do List sort of thing called Intuition+. It was made to be a checklist, and also a planner that would integrate with Calendar. Not very long after I got the app, the company deleted it entirely. I did as much as I knew how to get rid of anything associated with it on my laptop, but it still shows up as a calendar option in Calendar.
Now, I know it's probably harmless, but it drives me nuts that I can't get rid of the **** thing 100%. It was called Intuition+. Any advice?
Apologies if I'm leaving out any info that might be helpful-- I've never posted here before, so let me know what I can do to help you help me 8)

So this is an app that you've downloaded from the iTunes store, not from the Mac App Store ? If it is then it should be in the Apps part of your iTunes library - if you have iTunes 11 on your Mac then option-command-S should enable the left-hand sidebar, and on that sidebar there should be an Apps section e.g.
But apps from the iTunes store can only be installed/used on iOS devices i.e. an iPhone, iPod Touch and/or an iPad (they will appear in your iTunes library for syncing and backup purposes) - you can't use iTunes apps on a Mac.

  • 2009 Macbook issue: download speed limitation

    Hi
Mi wife got a late 2009 white macbook that's driving me crazy. Despite we got a 7Mbit ADSL connection and all others macs at home (we got 2 more 2008 macbooks and a 2008 macbook pro) with the very same OS version (10.6.4) and network settings are working properly and downloading at full speed, her one looks to have some kind of speed limitation in download to around 1.5 Mbps.
The ping and upload speeds are the very same of other computers, and apparently randomly the download speed also on that computer gets back to around 7 Mbps...
I just spent the afternoon doing tests and I got nowhere but maybe I found a pattern...
    First what I excluded:
-doesn't depend on how it's hooked to the net, same behavior by ethernet or wifi in both cases the other service was off
-any other mac using the same connection is working properly, did side by side tests
-ping is always the same on both computers used for test
-it is not a DNS issue
-deleted and created a new position in Network panel
    -did several restarts, no solution
-doesn't depend on a specific app being used (but maybe apps can matter, see below)
-none of possible fixes I found online did work
-probably it isn't related to OS version or updates, this issue has likely been there since a lot of time, and over more os updates (not really sure of this, we had unrelated netwok issues and changed provider for that reason in last year, we cot a stable and uniform environment just recently)
    Now what I noticed:
-As soon as the computer is started and I open a single browser (be it Safari, Chrome or Firefox doesn't change) speedtest.net test is ok, 7Mbps download.
-work and navigate with it, it's ok, download speed remains 7Mbps
-As soon another internet using application is opened (Mail, another browser) the connection speed drops to 1.5 Mbps (this is ALWAYS the limit, no relevant fluctuation in this)
-If I close any of above apps and remain with a single browser, running tests initially report still the 1.5 limit, but shortly after (one or two minutes) the speed gets back to 7Mbps
My wife needs to work with Mail, Skype, and at least two browsers open, so this limit is giving her great troubles

    taylor.henderson wrote:

This doesn't really help narrow down the problem
    {quote}
doh, you are right... sorry... the possible fixes I had found around are the ones reported right before...
Create a new user account on the problem computer and see if the slow speeds and strange behaviour persists in it.
    I did, it does...
    - created a new user and logged in
    - opened Safari, speedtest returns 7Mbit/s in download
    - opened Firefox, after a little speed drops to 1.4
    - some successive test starts slow (1.4) then sometimes speeds up, but most remain at 1.4
    - start chrome too, same behaviour
    - close Safari and Firefox, wait a little (1 or 2 minutes) do the test with Chrome, back to 7Mbit/s
Then go through stuff like this http://www.gballard.net/macrant/osx_troubleshooting.html.
I went through it and did most of what's suggested there (it's a little complex because when I am not working my wife is usually using her macbook to study and needs to use it all the time)...
    - unused disk space is 95,6 GB
    - booted in single user mode and did a fsck -fy
    - repaired permissions
Nothing changed, both the behavior takes place in new user account, and in main one, where any internet using application (Mail, Skype...) opened together causes the download slow down...

  • Build error 'CFURLGetFSRef failed - maybe the output directory doesn't exist?' Eclipse

I downloaded and installed the Adobe InDesign Plug-in Editor as an Eclipse distribution, the InDesign SDK and XCode on my iBook G4 with Mac OS X 10.4.10. Creating an InDesign project works fine. I only have to drag-and-drop elements on a form and add some actions.
Unfortunately, I can't get the Ant Build working. I followed the video-tutorials on the Adobe labs site, but I'm still getting this error:
CFURLGetFSRef failed - maybe the output directory doesn't exist?
The error seems to be in the "/Adobe InDesign CS3 Products SDK/devtools/bin/odfrc-cmd" file. I guess it's a SDK problem.
Does anyone know what the reason is for this error? And maybe how I can fix it?

    This is the full output.

    Anyone who can help me?

  • BAM Doesn't exist in SOA 11.1.1.5.0 Installer

    Hi
I'm installing Oracle SOA Suite 11.1.1.5.0. I've extracted two downloaded zip files (ofm_osb_generic_11.1.1.5.0_disk1_1of1 and ofm_osb_generic_11.1.1.5.0_disk1_1of2). The progress continues normally until it reaches "*Copying files for: Oracle BAM 11.1.1.5.0*". It asks me to insert Disk 3 of Oracle SOA Suite. I've also changed the "disk.label" file in stage folders of second zip file, too looks like Disk 3, but the error still exists.
It seems that it's looking for data files of BAM. It's searching for "*stage/Components/oracle.integration.bam/11.1.1.5.0/1/DataFiles/filegroup3.jar*". I've checked this folder. There is no directory named "DataFiles" in this path. It seems that BAM doesn't exist in 11.1.1.5.0 distribution!
Is there anything that I've missed during installation?

    Sorry!
Those files were from two different product :D. That was my mistake. The first one was from osb and the second one was from ofm.

Hey Man, I am running into exact same issue. I am getting a dialog box for inserting disk number 3 for BAM and I am also using the same version as you are. Can you please explain in little detail on how you solved this? I could not understand your updated response on you how you fixed it.
    Thanks,
