3 flat files grouped into 1 flat file

Hi XI Gurus!
IS there a way to merge the contents of all 3 flat files (source) to 1 flat file without using BPM? And IF I have to use BPM, could you please give me a general idea on how I can go on about it? After merging, I have to map the fields to an IDOC (target). Thanks so much for this.

Hi,
If you are not looking out for some specific thing and want to add second file at the end of first file and so on, then write a shell script to merge all files in one and then use that shell script in file adapter with option RUN OS Command before processing or you can use output file directly with File to IDoc mapping with FCC.
Assumption of this approach -
1. I assume that your flat files have same structure so that when you use FCC, it will parse all fields.
If this is not the case and all flat files have different structures then you have to use BPM for merging it. As suggested above, you have to use BPM Collect pattern of SAP BAsis component of your ESR or you have to create something similar BPM.
For your scenario using BPM, you have to merge the files first and after merging it, that is output file of the scenario, you have to create another scenario for mapping merged file to Idoc.
In case of BPM
You will have 2 scenario - FIle to file (Merge flat file in One)
2nd will be file to Idoc.

You’re going to have a very big problem and very soon. These missing pics are the beginning of trouble.
the total size of all my folders on my 60gb internal drive is 46.5 gb, yet only 1.9 gb is available,
OS X needs about 10 gigs of free space on the hard drive for normal OS operations such as virtual memory and temporary files. Without this space the machine slows down as the OS hunts for free space, files become fragmented and applications begin to crash. The risk of data corruption increases exponentially.
You must, as a matter of urgency, make space on the drive. I cannot stress this enough.
You may be able to recover the pics from your camera card using an app such as MediaRecover

HT2486 How do I import existing Outlook contact groups into Mac Address Book?

After months of problems with Microsoft Outlook 2011 for Mac, I am switching to Mac Mail. I seem to have successfully imported my individual contacts into Address Book. However, I have been unsuccessful in figuring out how to import group contacts into Mac Mail.
So far I have created .txt files, (a separate one for each group), listing each e-mail address in that group separated by a comma. Can I input this information into Address Book somehow? If not, how else can I import my groups into Address Book in a more efficient way than manually entering them? Manually dragging and dropping names into each new Address Book group is not an option, since I have about 50 groups with 20-50 people in each of them. It would take me extraordinary amounts of time to do that, not to mention the frustration.
A second question: There are many duplicates listed in my address book. When I select Card>Look for Duplicates, it tells me that No duplicates are found. They most definitely exist, however. How can I erase them without having to manually delete each duplicate?

You can't transfer the groups, you'll need to do it the hard way.
As for the duplicates, how many accounts do you have in your Address Book?

How to convert groups into layers by retaining groups names

Hi,
I have a file with 90 illustrations on 90 pages. Unfortunately, all illustrations are located in 90 groups but in a single layer. The groups however are named. I'd now like to convert those named groups into 90 layers by retaining their names in order to export each layer into single PNG-files with their correspondent layer-name later on.
Any ideas anybody?

If using either method you import into Address Book you can sync that to iCloud, which is probably easier than trying to import into the iCloud website. If you're prepared to splash out $20 the Sperry Software program would simplify matters a lot.

How to insert Group into Report Footer or have two Groups in same level

I am wondering whether it is possible to have two indepent groups---they are at the same level, in one report.
I tried insert a group into Footer section or just insert two unnested groups in Group Section, but seems undoable.

My suggestion will work. The basic layout would be:
G1Ha - printed when grouping field = 1 (your "Group header #1" above)
G1Hb - printed when grouping field = 2 (your "Group Header #2 above)
Da - printed when grouping field = 1 (your "AccountNumber1 Account Name1" under group header 1)
Db - printed when grouping field = 2 (your "Subreport for AccountNumber1 under group header 2)
G1Fa - printed when grouping field = 1 (your "Group Footer #1 above)
G1Fb - printed when grouping field = 2 (your "Group Footer #2 above).
Since the grouping field is the primary grouping, the order that the formats will display is:
G1Ha
Da
Da
Da
G1Fa
G1Hb
Db
Db
Db
G1Fb
matching your example perfectly.

Has anyone found a solution to sending mail to groups in Mavericks? I've been given 2 approaches - 1 to type user name group into address and the other to go to address book and right click on group. Neither are satisfactory. Does anyone have a solution?

Import of material groups into hierarchy not possible (note 432339)

I am trying to replicate material groups (DNL_CUST_PROD1) from R3 system. Prior to this our SRM system configured as standalone and Material Hierarchy is already defined. When I am trying to replicate the material groups in SMQ2 I am receiving status as "sysfail" and further I am getting above message. In the message the OSS note also mentioned. In the OSS note they have given following solution
Error message "Import of material groups into hierarchy &1 not possible":
In transaction COMM_PRAPPLCAT, you specify that the hierarchy specified in the error message is to be used for application 'Purchasing' (02). This means that the material groups would be created in this hierarchy. Delete this setting in Transaction COMM_PRAPPLCAT. If hierarchy R3MATCLASS already exists, assign
hierarchy R3MATCLASS to application 'Purchasing'. Then the material groups are created in hierarchy R3MATCLASS. If you want to import the material groups into the hierarchy specified in the error message, you can also keep this hierarchy
assigned to application 'Purchasing' and deactivate the error message. Error message "Import of material types into hierarchy &1 not possible". You can do this in Customizing under 'Customer Relationship Management -> Master data -> Basic settings -> Define system message characteristics'.
My problem is I am not able to find out the path given in the OSS note ( i.e, Customer Relationship Management u2013 Master data) . Any one can help me in this regard ?

Songs not being grouped into one album/artist!!!

Ok, so just as an example... I have this one CD - American Idol 2 All-Time Classic American Love Songs ... my problem is that it seperates them all into individual artists and won't group them together - which isn't too big of a problem, because I can just rename everything and make them group. The problem is, 2 of them do group! Clay Aiken and Ruben Studdard's tracks are recognized as part of one album and are automatically grouped into a Various Artists category! eek! It's the only time it's happened - It doesn't do that for any other American/Canadian Idol album I have! and I just can't figure it out. I tried renaming those tracks and stuff, but it just wouldn't work, it still only grouped those two seperately!

Ok and it also happens with a couple Westlife songs - I have a Misc category because they're from a couple different singles albums and I didn't want like, one song per folder! So I just grouped them all, but again, iTunes won't make ONE Misc Category, it bloody makes two!

In the Transform characteristic values function, the necessary entries are then made so that the sales quantities for an existing, comparable material group are copied to the new material group.

HI,
create a new characteristic (KEA5), choose transfer from SAP-table (the tab. where your fiels is available in material master (MARA)), choose the field from the list of available fields from MARA, enter text, save, activate. Assign the char. to your op. concern. Generate the operating concern.
Aftre this steps the field is in yopur operating concern and the derivation rule can be seen in T-Code KEDR (rule created by SAP automatically). If not, add a derivation rule in KEDR (table lookup).

When typing a Contacts group into Mail address, it inserts duplicates

MacBook Air using Mavericks. I have a Group set up in Contacts. When I type the name of that group into the BCC field in Mail, I get every name in the group at least twice.

I had similar problems. In Leopard, I used to be able to just drag one or more Groups from the Address Book to the address field in the Mail message, and it would go in unexpanded, as per the Preference I have set in Mail. With Snow Leopard, when I do this all the individual addresses go into the address field PLUS the unexpanded Group.
However, I found that if I Select the group in Address Book, Copy it, then Paste it into the Mail message address field, all is well. That is, the Group goes into the field unexpanded, and the individuals in the group all receive the message with "To: Undisclosed Recipients" as I intended.

How to force newly provisioned security groups into Planning

I just provisioned 3 new security groups in Shared Services (9.2.0.2). 15 minutes later our Planning Admin says that she still cannot see these new groups within her Planning app (9.2.0.2.0). Is there any way for me to force these new groups into Planning so that she can apply her security to them within the Planning app?

Did you tried out Jake's suggestion?
Other tests are log in as a user that belongs to the group to see if that updates the tables.
Or run the provisionusers utility for a user that belongs to the group.
Or the the updateusers utility which syncs ups users/groups with shared services.
I cant remember which utility is the best to use in this instance.

Import Distribution Group into SharePoint as "Audience"

I've been searching these threads all day for a solution, and I haven't located one that answers my question...
We are creating a SharePoint3 site which will have 4 different departments as the audience for it. Due to the ingress and egress of employees & contractors, both onshore and off, attempting to maintain individual users
and permissions will be incredibly difficult.
Is there a way to add the Distribution Group into SharePoint so that all those people on the list can be provided access, with the same permissions, and maintained along with the DG? There will be little to no emailing from the site itself, we just
need a way to import the staff without having to do it manually.
Can this be done? And if so, can you help guide me through the process?

Are you sure you want to use an audience? Audiences are for showing/hiding information, but are not to be used as a security boundary (permissions).
You can instead set up Active Directory Security Groups, then add those Security Groups to a SharePoint Group (or even down to individual lists/items). Add/remove members from the group (using ADUC, etc.) to allow/deny them access to the site.

Just a follow up to my question before:
I have this scenario:
Source 3 flat files - merge through BPM - map to IDOC - send to ECC
Now, I need to configure them in Integration Directory.
I would need 3 Communication channels for the 3 different text files right?
How will I do the Sender Agreement? Should I create 3 for each flat file? OR just one for the merged file? IF I create 1 sender agreement for every comm channel, what will be my receiver for each? it cannot be ecc, since i am not yet sending the flat file. it should be merged first.
I'm not sure how to proceed with the Rec Agreement, Sender Agreement, Interface Det and Rec Determination.
Sorry about this. I'm really new at BPM.

You need three sender communication channels and three sender agreement. In mapping you will merge in to single target idoc file. So you will have single receiver comm channel and single receiver agreement. Create 3 receiver determination and 3 interface determination too. Refere SDN for file merge using BPM scenarios
Basically you need to create 3 receivers using fork then transformation and finally single send step. You can also use correlation alongwith fork using a block for receivers. THis is just a hint.
