3G access fix

I got my iPhone today and everything worked fine except some issues with the iTunes/App Store download sync and more importantly it only worked on WiFi and no Edge or 3G!
After reading a post here I did a full restore that took about 30 mins and it works great now on 3G!
Thought this would help.

  • Access, fixing cursor while zooming, coloring scroll bar

    While designing a pdf page for visually impaired
    1) How do you make the magnifier to stay on a fixed point of the text?
    As  is when you magnify a page the cursor position changes with respect to the text. But for a visually imapired person it would be hard to navigate to particular place in text if his/her position is changed. Such a person can get easily lost.
    2) Is there a way of assigning a color to the scroll bar?
    The scroll bars of the Reader are dark gray in a light grey background. After magnification this bar could get small and hard to detect for a visually impaierd person. Choice of color is also imortant for color blind person.

  • Expdp error anyone have an idea on how to fix this?

    I'm trying to get an export of a database that has encrypted columns. Exp really isn't a good option I'd have to unencrypt the columns first everytime.
    First I create the directory D:\DPDUMP and give Everyone SERVICE and SYSTEM full rights to the directory. Oracle runs as the Local System account.
    Created new user myuser that has the role DBA with EXP_FULL_DATABASE etc.
    Made directory object.
    CREATE DIRECTORY dpump_dir_01 AS 'D:\DPDUMP';
    grant read, write on directory dpump_dir_01 to myuser;
    Run expdp as myuser with following PARFILE entries just testing on the tables that are giving me problems.
    DIRECTORY=dpump_dir_01
    LOGFILE=Encryptest.log
    DUMPFILE=Encryptest.dmp
    FULL=N
    encryption_password=********
    TABLES=MYBANK.CARDAGREEMENT
    CONTENT=ALL
    get errors
    ORA-39006: internal error
    ORA-39213: Metadata processing is not available
    I've added USERID="/ as sysdba" to the PARFILE.
    I've tried it to the default DATA_PUMP_DIR after giving read write to that with the same error. expdp TABLES=MYBANK.CARDAGREEMENT.
    No matter what I do I get this error. So far what I've seen is a Directory permissions issue normally causes it and granting access fixes it but I'm having no luck at all.

    Here the error definition message, have you try the recommanded action ?
    ORA-39213: Metadata processing is not available
    Cause: The Data Pump could not use the Metadata API. Typically, this is caused by the XSL stylesheets not being set up properly.
    Action: Connect AS SYSDBA and execute dbms_metadata_util.load_stylesheets to reload the stylesheets.

  • How does oracle accesses v$ tables or views in mount state

    Hi All,
    I want to know how oracle accesses fixed tables/views while the database is in mount state.
    I did the following:
    1. Started the database in mount state.
    2. Query v$database ,v$datafile--Successful
    3. Queried dba_data_files.---ERROR
    SQL> select * from dba_data_files;
    select * from dba_data_files
    ERROR at line 1:
    ORA-01219: database not open: queries allowed on fixed tables/views only
    As per my understanding goes,all these tables are a part of Data Dictionary which is stored physically on system tablespace.
    Now since the database is mounted ,it cannot access any part of system tablespace's data.Am I right??
    So how does it queries v$ tables and other fixed database tables in mount state???
    Thanks in advance
    Saket Bansal

    the v$(dynamic) view comes from instance
    the dba(static) views comes from dictionary
    but there is only one view can be look while instance is in nomount mode
    and that is
    v$instance ,,,
    BUT ONLY THING I DON KNOW IS WHY WE CAN STILL DESCRIBE THE V$ VIEWS WHILE INSTANCE IS IN NOMOUNT MODE,,,
    ORACLE instance shut down.

    ORACLE instance started.

  • "Fixed mode" for hybrid GPU not present

    Hello everyone!
    I have a HP Pavilion dv6-6030, equipped with Intel Core i7 (Intel HD Graphics series 3000) and an AMD Radeon HD 6490M.
    Even if I have the latest BIOS version, the F1.B, I cannot switch from Dynamic to Fixed mode. I can't say why.
    When I purchased the notebook (in 2011) I had this option and I used the Fixed mode for the hybrid system of GPUs. Than happened that my notebook fell down, but everything was still ok. However, I didn't want to keep it with the chassis damaged, so I sent it to HP to change the chassis. When the notebook came back, I was no more able to change how the GPUs have to work: the option misses. From Catalyst Control Center I see that they are set in Dynamic mode. At first I didn't care about that, but now I'd like to restore this feature. I tried to reinstall both BIOS and drivers, but nothing's changed: in the BIOS there is not the option about hybrid graphics mode. Why?
    Is there anybody can help me?
    Thank you so much!
    Davide

    Hello @Davide_S ,
    Thanks for posting on the HP Forums!
    I understand the BIOS will no longer let you access "Fixed Mode". I have a suggestion that can help! Below is a table of all available BIOS versions to this computer:
    Source: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/previousVersions?softwareitem=ob-95001-1&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&os=40...
    Version Date Size
    F.13 Current
    05-2011
    4.95M
    F.06
    03-2011
    4.94M
    F.05
    02-2011
    4.73M
    I would install the oldest version to try and get the BIOS you once had. If that doesn't work, install the second-oldest one.
    Please let me know if this helps. Thanks!
    Mario

  • Non-admin accounts can't access applications

    We have a computer lab with 20 iMacs running 10.6.4. We have an admin account, a monitor account, an instructor account and a guest account. The guest account can't run Adobe Acrobat - app comes up and asks for admin login and password. Guest account CAN run other apps like Photoshop and Illus.
    The same thing happens with no apparent pattern when logged into instructor and monitor account - sometimes an app will open (this varies from app to app), other times it will ask for admin login and password.
    Have searched forums, tried keychain access fix (doesn't seem to be it) have tried to change permissions on app for guest account to read&write on app, even tried using parental controls to "override" permissions on apps.
    Any ideas?

  • "Zoom using scroll wheel while holding" is broken

    Hello,
    Since updating to Mac OS X 10.7 Lion this morning, the "Zoom using scroll wheel while holding" feature is broken.
    In the mouse control panel the checkbox for "Zoom using scroll wheel while holding" is definitely checked. The default Control ^ key is selected. I verified I'm hitting the correct key on the keyboard using the keyboard viewer.
    I've tried using this with 2 finger scrolling on my trackpack as well. I've also tried turning off most of the trackpack geustures.
    I tried searching these forums prior to posting and found replies telling people with various different situations to turn this feature off. I want it on. I use it constantly.
    I have a MacBook Pro Aluminum 13-Inch Mid 2010
    Processor  2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
    Memory  4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3
    Graphics  NVIDIA GeForce 320M 256 MB
    Software  Mac OS X Lion 10.7 (11A511)
    Any advise would be appreciated!
    Thanks.

    Hello. Original poster here. I can confirm a few things after observing for a few days and trying stuff.
    1) The Universal access fixes did nothing. I set & reset those settings til I was blue in the face.
    2) I tried a "Repair Permissions" with the Disk Utility. No luck.
    3) It works intermitently. After sleeping sometimes it works. After plugging into my external monitor sometimes it works on the external monitor but then if I unplug it won't work again. After a reboot somtimes it works, then after sleeping stops working. Kinda strange. When it works it works from both my external USB mouse and the trackpad, so I don't think it's the hardware.
    I don't have Time Machine configured - been using Carbonite, but they're not compatible with Lion so might have to get Time Machine running anyway - but it's not a fix per se, since this oughta work all the time.

  • How to setup WinME TCP with wired connection to WRT54G?

    I have a WinME computer that I'm trying to connect directly (via network cable) to a WRT54G router. I have an XP computer connected directly to the router and another XP connected via a wireless router, but I can't seem to figure out the settings to get the internet connection on the WinME computer to work, though the network neighborhood is working fine. I tried before to get a wireless connection on the WinME computer, but was unsuccessful (same thing; the network neighborhood worked fine; tried the internet access fix with Winsock to no avail). Now that I've moved all of the computers together into the same room, I thought I would try again using a direct connection, but I can't remember what the settings are for the network TCP/IP protocol? Putting the router's IP address in the gateway block does not seem to do anything. I can't even remember where I found all of the info before.
    Can someone point me in the right direction?

    I'm not using static addresses (except for the router). Here's the setup:
    Internet Connection Type Static IP
    Internet IP Address: . . . 206.183.182.233
    Subnet Mask: . . . 255.255.255. 0
    Gateway: . . . 206.183.182. 1
    Static DNS 1: . . . 206.183.176. 2
    Static DNS 2: . . . 216.168. 84. 2
    Network Setup
    Local IP Address: . . . 192.168. 5. 1
    Subnet Mask: . . . 255.255.255. 0
    Network Address Server Settings (DHCP)
    DHCP Server: Enable
    Starting IP Address . . . 192.168. 5.100
    I've tried both IE and Firefox. I have tried using static IPs to no avail. What should the DNS and gateway settings on the WinME computer be?
    Thanks!

    Hi, Thanks for this post, it's really useful. I need to send my PS4 for service due to it automatically ejecting discs while is on standby mode, but I can't find that issue in the "Fix and replace" section to order the replacement via the website. Do I need to call to support to initiate the process or can I select any of the BR drive fail options? Thanks!

    Why would there be a fix?  YOU are having the problem.  I'm not, no one I know is having the problem.  No fix is needed.
    Basic troubleshooting steps clearly outlined in the User Guide are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new.  Have you been through any, if not all of these troubleshooting steps yet?
