Website bug, 404 errors with content

Seems part of the Apple website have broken content (some are images others are videos)
On AirPort Base Station Firmware Update 7.7.3, the main image is missing  and on http://store.apple.com/us/product/HFQQ2ZM/A/adidas-micoach-smart-ball the video is missing, there might be other parts with missing content aka 404 errors
I am seeing in this on OS X 10.9.4 (saw it on 10.9.3, pointing to a website bug)

Both pages look fine here. It is probably just a glitch in Apple's worldwide content delivery system.

  • 404 error with wwv_flow.accept on basic Oracle XE form

    Hi all,
after some extensive research and head-scratching, I'm stumped with the following situation, and wondered if anyone here had any insights...
I have a colleague who is expermimenting with Apex using Oracle XE 10G (For various tedious reasons, we will not be able to use 11G if this gets beyond an experimental stage, so please don't suggest upgrading - I'd love to if I could, but thats how it is...)
He has constructed a very basic little database of a couple of tables, then created some simple forms to play with the data. On one form (a multiple field, multiple row screen used to update and review data in a single table), he gets intermittent 404 errors referring to wwv_flow.accept
I configured the epg to display debug info, and got a consistent stream of ORA-06550 / PLS-00103 errors all referring to finding FLOWS_020100 where it was expecting an operator, etc. (I've pasted the full debug output below minus the field data)
Installing 10G XE onto another colleague's PC did not reproduce the problem.
Removing and re-installing 10G XE onto the original PC still produced the same errors.
(And fwiw, I installed 11G XE on my PC, and that works just fine)
Does anyone have any ideas please?
    many thanks,
    Simon

No, its a very sensible question... :)
The difficulty I face is that it is required to test this on Oracle 10G XE, so upgrading Apex is out due to it being bundled in.
Any actual deployment would be into an Oracle 10 environment initially, which is why it was desired to use 10G XE as the test before going about configuring anything "for real". I guess I might have to look at actually deploying it into a full test environment - especially as the error only happens on one PC.
It would be nice to know why it does it though, just to generate a bit more confidence in the user base!

  • 404 errors with welcome file

    Here's a strange one.
I've successfully deployed a test application
with welcome-file-list directive as the only
entry (besides required ?xml and DOCTYPE headers).
When I attempt to access my page e.g., http://myMachine:port/testApp, the URL
changes to read http://myMachine:port/testApp/welcome.htm as expected
but I get 404 errors saying the page cannot be found.
Web.xml successfully passes my XML parser so I don't think
    that is the problem.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,

    Hi.
What's the layout of your webapp directory structure? More to the point,
your welcome.htm file should be in the root directory of your webapp. Can
you confirm this is where you have it?
Also, please post the relevant bits of your web.xml file here.
    Thanks,
    Michael

  • Configuring 404 errors with FastCGI and php files

    Hi,
whenever a user triggers a 404, he gets a "No input file specified." error instead of the 404 error we configured in SJSWS 6.1. It looks like anything ".php" is sent to the parser, and if the file doesn't exist, the parser doesn't warn the webserver, but it returns the error directly to the client.
Are there any ways to make it work as it used to be before FastCGI?

Thanks for the reply, but that doesn't work in 6.1 (adding an if statement in obj.conf):

  • Bug: 404 error for item link in 'Tell a Friend' email

When using {tag_tellafriend} in email campaigns, the email that is sent from BC to the 'friend' is dysfunctional - the link rendered by {tag_itemurl} is redirected by a 302 Found to /_System/SystemPages/Error404, which simulates a Page Not Found error (it doesn't actually return 404).
Those links are in the format: http://www.example.com/CampaignProcess.aspx?A=View&KID=203100&VID=45681759

Cool. Shouldn't {tag_tellafriend} be removed or disabled? Three years seems a long enough sunset period for a feature that hasn't worked since then.

  • Http 404 error with IISProxy

    Hi
We have a production portalenvironment with SAP EP 6.40, NW04 SPS19 (Win2003 server), we use iisproxy as reverse proxy. We have also a test environment that is exact the same and would like to setup IISproxy (reverse) here as well. But we only get the "Page cannot be found" message.
It does the redirection but doesnt display any content. The testenvironment is run on VMWare if that has anything to do with it.

ANY help or idea on why we get "Page cannot be found" would be most appriciated.
    /thanks in advance, Camilla

    Hi Camilla,
you are trying to access the portal via /irj/portal/anonymous. What happens if you just try to access it via /irj/? Do you still get the page not found?
Since you are using IISProxy be sure to know Note 886214 - End of Maintenance of IisProxy ISAPI module.
The IIS Proxy Module is no longer supported by SAP and has been replaced by other means of SSO (like SPNego).
However, there are still some notes out there which might be useful:
For Windows 2003/IIS 6 Note 715303 - IIS 6 specific configurations for IisProxy module
Note 713568 - Troubleshooting IisProxy module
Note 629946 - IisProxy: Manual installation and update
    Hope this helps,
    Holger.

i open a website and it gives a 404 error, the content isnt loading. what should i do?

If you use a bookmark then try to access the website via the home page in case the URL or the bookmark no longer exists.
If you bookmark a direct link to a specific page then it is always possible that the page gets removed and the bookmark stops working.

  • Suddenly getting 404 error when adding user to group

    Hi,
I have an OAM 10.1.4.0.1 instance that's been working fine.
However, today, I noticed that when I tried to add a user to a group, when I am in the selector page and click a user, I then get an HTTP 404 error.
I've searched all of the log files that I can find, and I can't see any error messages. The only thing that is showing an error in a log is the IIS that I have setup with WebGate for OAM Admin. I get a "404" error with a sc-win32-status or "3".
I have restarted everything, and that still hasn't helped.
Does anyone here know what might be causing this, or how to diagnose the problem?
    Thanks,
    Jim

    Hi,
I'm answering my own question/problem here, but hopefully this info will help someone else.
I was able to get adding users to groups working again. I found that after I cleared the cache in my browser (IE6), the "add user to groups" started working again, without the HTTP 404 error.
In hindsight, I guess this kind of makes sense, because if you ever watch the URIs on the selector pages, they all look alike, so I'm guessing the IE would not send a full GET request, but the "content" was no longer valid on the OAM server, thus the 404 error.

I can Google things (not in the URL box, but in the Google box) perfectly, with the exception that sometimes the link clicked from Google doesn't load. However, I cannot actually visit an individual site by entering the URL. If I directly enter the URL, it comes up with a 404 error, site not found. If I try to navigate to some pages from a Google, it comes up with a connectivity problem page. I would really like to be able to use my Firefox again. In the meantime, I'll have to use Google Chrome.

Try clearing Firefox's cookies and cache
Do these steps and then reload the website you're having trouble with.
    * Click the menu button [[Image:New Fx Menu]] , choose History and select Clear Recent History....
    * In the Time Range to clear: drop-down, select Everything.
    * Click the arrow next to Details to display the list of items that can be cleared.
    * Select both Cookies and Cache.
    * Click Clear Now.
Moreover, normally such issues are caused by a firewall/security software which doesn't recognize & therefore blocks new firefox versions:[[Fix problems connecting to websites after updating Firefox]]

  • Google critical mobile usability errors with my muse website

Hi. I currently build my sites in adobe muse and export them to a third party to host. I use both google analytics and webmaster tools to keep track of any issues and guidelines that google finds. My sites are exported with both desktop versions and mobile versions of the site.
Recently I am getting notifications from google web tools telling me the sites I have created have critical mobile usability errors which effects how mobile users are able to experience the site. It also tells me these pages will not be seen as mobile friendly by google search and therefore will be displayed and ranked appropriately for smartphone users. Does google not recognise that a Muse website has a dedicated mobile version and how can I resolve this issue as I dont want this the effect my search results?
    Thanks for any responses.

I am having the same issue. Google reports the following:
    Usability error
    Pages with errors
    1
    Content not sized to viewport
    7
    2
    Fixed-width Viewport
    7
    3
    Touch elements too close
    7
    4
    Small font size
    7
One strange thing about this is that there are more than seven pages all tied to master pages, so if sizing were an issue I would expect all of the pages to have issue numbers 1 and 3.

    Hi Murali,
    Follow two NOTES 212394 & 661852
    or
Ensure that PSE (Personal Security Environment) is created directly on SAP system after the system is installed, this is one time activity.
To do this you use T Code "STRUST". You can check with your Senior Basis guy for more.
By default the system's PSE is used to sign URLs. from SAP WAS you can also create your own PSE to sign Kpro URLs

  • Issue with OWA (404 error)

    Issue with OWA (404 error)
From the server itself i can use IPv6 https://[fe80::feef:ff56:c498:1f0]/owa - this opens the mailbox.
https://127.0.0.1/owa - this opens the mailbox
https://localhost/owa - this results in 404 - File or directory not found
using https://servername/owa - this results in 404 - file or directory not found
using https://192.168.10.10 - this results in 404 - file or directory not found
is this an issue with IIS bindings?
    thanks in advance

    Hi,
I think you can check the authentication settings in IIS for exchange virtual directories.
    Thanks,
    James
