if i have the one year warranty will apple replacement my iphone 5c with a full broken phone, if i have the one year warranty will apple replacement my iphone 5c with a full broken phone

What do you mean by "broken". The warranty doesn't apply to damage.

This is your choice.  They should not be insisting.  If you can afford it it is a good buy but lots of people go without it.

  • Does every single new apple product come with 1-year warranty?

I got my iPod touch fifth generation around Febuary 5th, and dropped it. It cracked, and I was wondering if all products (regardless of place bought) brought the warranty.
Also, does apple just replace devices under the warranty? I don't think an iPod screen is replaceable by itself.
    Thanks

Yes, pretty much they all carry the 1 year warranty. But that warranty does not cover damage that you caused.
If your iPod Touch, iPhone, or iPad is Broken
Apple does not fix iDevices. Instead, they exchange yours for a refurbished or new replacement depending upon the age of your device and refurbished inventories. On rare occasions when there are no longer refurbished units for your older model, they may replace it with the next newer model.
You may take your device to an Apple retailer for help or you may call Customer Service and arrange to send your device to Apple:

    Hey guys
I have an iphone 5c with a crack near the home button
Has anyone had apple repair their iphone 5c and what was the cost

I Cannot say what it would be in Canada, but I just had it done in the US and it was $129 plus tax. Should be comparable.

  • Can i replace ipod touch 4 with ipod 5 with 1 year warranty?

i have an ipod touch with the offical 1 year hardware warranty, and its lagging and having problems can i replace for a new one possibly the ipod touch 5. ipod touch 4 32 gb.

What sort of problems do you have? Chances are, Apple would replace your iPod with a new one from the same generation.
Are there any hardware issues with the iPod at the moment?

  • If I have a refurbished iPad with 1 year warranty

can get a new one if the screen is cracked. Or if it is damaged will they give me a new iPad or can they fix it for free at the Apple store

Cracked screens are not covered by the Apple warranty, so no they won't give you a new one.  You can get an out of warranty replacement for about 50% of the cost of your device when it was purchased.

  • HT4044 Part of my iPad(1st gen) screen display does not show, hence I can only see it partially. It was not dropped and neither is it broken. Any help as I was told it cant be fixed and i hv 2 replace with a new unit i.e. pay in full as warranty is over? HE

Part of my iPad screen display does not show. It was not dropped and neither is the screen broken. I was advised to see the local service provider for a diagnosis.
I had finally managed to find time to find a local service provider last week (not easy) and was disappointed to be advised of Apple's policy of one for one exchange i.e. they wont repair and said that i would have to replace with a whole unit. As my unit is no longer under warranty, it meant that I had to pay for the full price of a new unit!
I might as well have paid for the latest new unit but since my unit is only 2 years old at most, it would be a great waste of money.
How can this be? Does this mean apple's product is inferior and do not last since warranty is only for one year?
I sincerely hope there is a favourable solution otherwse my money is flushed down the drain.
    HELP!!!

I was using my iPad last night, shut the power off and when I turned it on this morning 2/3 of the screen is not working.  It looks like the pandalela picture. What is the answer to fix this; is this a screen issue or and electronics issues.  Has anybody else experienced this?

  • My one year warranty expired recently, a month ago my charger was replaced under warranty and it has only lasted a month and has broken again, does the replacement charger come with a new warranty or will i have to buy a new one?

Bought the phone on contract last January (late in january), had my charger replaced just after christmas and now it has stopped working again, its been about a month and a half and the replacement charger is broken, does the replacement charger come with a new warranty or will I have to buy a new charger? And if so, is there a charger that doesn't break easily (my problem is the the wire at the phone end of the cable seems to bunch and twist etc.)
    thanks.

  • FURIOUS! refurbished replacement, only 5 months down the line, LCD is broken. Sales Of Goods Act, i want the years warranty i paid for not 90 days, AM I BEING UNREASONABLE?!?!

Paid £120 for a replacement iPhone 3GS 16GB White around 6 months ago, ONLY TWO MONTHS afterwards it seemed to think it was stuck on a docking station, so I got another replacement as it was virtually unusable! Of course I got scammed, and was given a refurbished unit, instead of another new one, after paying £120 as a student for a new one to avoid any further issues! I CANNOT afford a new phone and I am FURIOUS that I may not have the years warranty I practically paid for by buying a new unit that only worked to its full functionality for 2 MONTHS, to get a replacement with only 90 days warranty, how is that right? NOT ONLY SHOULD I GET A BRAND NEW REPLACEMENT AGAIN BUT I SHOULD ALSO HAVE MY YEARS WARRANTY I AM MOST CERTAINLY ENTITLED TO!
Personally I think this is an outrage, and I believe I am entitled to the years warranty I paid for, and a replacement now as my 5-6 month iPhone's LCD has decided to completely pack in possibly costing me £30 for a new, none-genuine LCD that I would have to trust myself to replace.
I deserve my full warranty, I feel like I have been scammed by a huge company that couldn't care less whether their products reach the customer with the sales of goods act i'm mind at all.
I think this is an outrage, and hope to be reassured by somebody on here.
thank you for taking the time to read my post,
    yours sincerely, Olly.

thank you for your reply! I hope you are accurate in what you are saying, I have not voided my warranty in any way, the iPhone I paid for had a fault that meant, for some reason not only did it think it was constantly on a docking station, meaning the speakers nor the volume would work, but it would overheat when charging, this was nothing that I did to the iPhone.
so in that case I am still covered by the years warranty?
this is great if I am, although I thought all refurbished replacements only had a 90 day warranty. so if you need a replacement, you've only got 90 days for a component to break in order to get a replacement, which I think is unfair in every way as a refurbished replacement is even more likely to go wrong, not only that but it is more likely to go wrong in a smaller amount of time too!

  • Broken i-Phone 5  under 1 year warranty. Support center didn't replace it

    Hello all.
In Genuary, 10th 2013 i bought a new iPhone 5 in my city electronic shop.
After a couple of month, the Menu button start to works bad.
In July i bring the phone at the Apple Official Assistance center (MEdStore) near home. The phine, workin apart from the menu buttom, unfortunately was little curved (chassis issue i think) but i was able to phone and play.
The assistance center told me that the warranty doesn't covers that problem (and the not working menu button????).
On my Warranty documents and in the Official Web site (www.apple.com/it) Apple declares that the first year is covered from ALL problems and issues including owners damages because is a Commercial warranty. The second years covers only initial material troubles (not owners caused).
So, yesterday i contact directly an Apple Store (not an Official Assistance center) that tolds me the first center i contact in July was a bed center because it MUST replace the broken i-phone with a new one.
So, now what i have to do?
If an Official Center tells me a wrong think and the warranty now is closed, how can i repair my i-phone?
Certainly i can't believe that Apple takes time till the warranty ends just for asking me 249 € to have a re-generated i-phone!!!!!!!!!
This is not correct and is not what i knew about Apple inc.
    Thanks.
    Andrea

That is total fiction. No warranty, in Italy or anywhere does, covers user-caused damage. You can read Apple's warranty statement for yourself:

To replace your phone's screen costs $109US and I don't see why having Apple replace the screen would void your warranty.

  • 3 cracks in 3 years replaced with a 3 year warranty!!!

    Dear Ms./Sir,
I am a university student and in 2007 I have bought my very first laptop ever, a white Macbook. I love my laptop. It's fast, it's convenient. The design is slick and thin, fits anywhere and it's light. However, since I bought it I realized that regular Microsoft laptops have sturdy cases but their software falls apart. In the case of a MacBook, excellent software but the case falls apart. This is ridiculous. I am a big fan of Apple products and have bought many as presents as well in the past. I avidly recommended and still am to friends and family. However with the case cracking constantly and in constant need of replacement I am definitely over thinking my loyalty to Apple in the future.
Mid 2008 I notice the first crack on the right side of the board. Having a 3 year warranty through Apple Care I was able to replace it at no cost. I hoped that it wouldn't happen again and made sure that I used it lightly and very carefully to avoid another crack. Early 2009 another crack, same place. Replaced it again at no cost. This time I decided not to even take it to school anymore and was really really careful with it. November 2009, not even a year later another crack in the SAME spot. This is ridiculous. 3 cracks in 3 years. My warranty ends in January next year. I don't have the money to spent on replacement every time this happens after my warranty expires.
So I would like to know what can Apple do for a loyal fan like me?
I really don’t want the cracking to keep happening, since I don’t have the money to keep repairing it.
    Regards,
    Dorothea

As Templeton said, you will not get a response from Apple here. We're all just fellow users.
I'd suggest calling Apple tech support and asking to speak with Customer Relations. When you get a CR representative on the line, calmly explain the situation and express your concerns about yet another case failure should they just replace the case yet again. I can't make any sort of promises - again, I don't work for Apple so I can't speak for them - but the CR representative may be able to work out something, ideally a replacement of the unit with a new model of MacBook.
    Good luck.

  • Since I had my iPhone 4 replaced with a refurbished model, does that extended my one year warranty?

I bought an iPhone 4 last June and got it in July, but I had it replaced with a refurbished model a few months ago. Because of this, is the included one year warranty that I originally had extended by a period of time because I had this phone replaced?

You get 90 days on the service replacement or you original warranty, whichever is longer, which I this case is the one on the replacement. So you are good for 90 more days.

  • Can I get my phone replaced with a 1 Year Warranty?

I bought a HTC phone from Best Buy in July 2011 and it came with an extra piece that no longer works. I have an 1 year warranty and I was wondering if I could get the piece replaced.

What kind of piece is this?
Either way if you only have the manufacturer's one year warranty, you would have to contact the manufacturer.
