6120 classic problem connecting to Sony Ericsson H...

I have just purchased a Nokia 6120 classic, I am having difficulty getting sound. The unit connects and disconnects, but no sound on either caller or reciever end. Paring and reccognition fine.

Ya, I still think the issue is that the iPod can be used on those Sony Xplod models via an optional cable that plugs into the BACK of the unit and that the USB port on the front of the unit is for mass storage devices like USB thumb drives or maybe an iPod if it is set up to Enable Disk Mode and you put MP3s on the "disk drive" portion (vs. the "player" area) of the iPod like a normal drive.

  • Ssl connection in Sony Ericsson.

    Dear friends,
My application connect the server using ssl protocol in SecureConnection.
I am facing connectivity problem only in sony ericsson c902, t280i and k530i devices..
Can any one guide me to solve this problem.
    Thanks in advance,
    Regards,
    Hithayath

As per the specification, there are only two possibilities
    1) the target of the name is not found
    2) the requested protocol type is not supported
    I would suggest
    1) you check if normal socket connection is working
    2) Check if the url string you are passing is correct.
    3) Check manufacturer's forum to see if these devices are having any connection problems.
    Hope this helps.

  • Connect to Sony Ericsson W580i via USB

I want to be able to connect my Sony Ericsson W580i to be able to transfer music files to the music player.
The first time I tried, it appeared on the desktop, but ever since it has not worked.
    Can anybody help please?

Your mobile handset is supported, but like all other supported devices with the exception of those manufactured by Motorola, you can only synchronize using iSync via Bluetooth.
If your computer does not have built-in Bluetooth, you can add it by purchasing a D-Link DBT-120 USB Bluetooth adapter. This is the only device explicitly supported by Apple for such applications.

  • 6120 classic error - Connected phone was not recog...

I have used the software updater before, but now when I try and use it I am told Phone is not supported, connected phone was not recognized.
I have uninstalled and re-installed the program, PC suite works and recognizse my phone, I can back up etc.
Does anybody have any ideas how I can solve this problom

The updates for the 6120 classic have been removed due to a problem with either the software updater or the firmware.
They will be returned when the problem has been fixed.

Hi Ben! If I consider that media from Nokia/Sony Ericsson is not supported by BlackBerry then how come that same content becomes viewable when I click forward button? I do believe that RIM continuously improving things for its customers. I'm using the updated software release for my carrier but issue still remains! To my understanding this problem lies in compatibility.

  • BT connection to sony ericsson "different" (ie bad) after moving to Leopard

Help! Can't connect bluetooth to new Mac with Leopard
    Hi All.
I have a SE K790a, a MacBook Pro with OS 10.4 (Panther) and have never had problems connecting the two. In particular I mainly navigate to Menu/File Manager/Camera Album to quickly 'push' a photo from the phone to my mac via bluetooth. Beautiful simplicity right? right.
Now I just got a new black MacBook (not pro) and the new OS 10.5.2 (Leopard), and tried to pair them. I can pair them alright but on my phone when I try to connect or 'push' a photo etc. It says, "searching..." "connection failure. retry?" and nothing more.
Yes, BT is on/discoverable on both devices. Yes they have been paired. Yes, the macbook shows up on my phone in its list of known devices. Here is the only difference I can find between the Macbook Pro and the new Macbook (both are listed in MyDevices on the phone).
If you go to Menu/Settings/Connectivitiy[tab]/Blueetooth/My Devices/ then select the old macbook pro (running 10.4) press right softkey ("MORE") choose "SERVICES" you see "Object Push"
awesome.... But.... back to that menu of devices, choose the new macbook (running leopard) and also choose More/Services and you see only:
    "Audio Remote Control Target"
***? Why not object push there too? I tried "refresh" on the services menu. it does nothing. I looked in system prefs/bluetooth on the mac. opened the device there and it says:
    Type: mobile phone
    Services:
    Dial-up Networking
    HID Mouse & KB
    OBEX File Transfer
    OBEX Object Push
    Paired: Yes
    Connected: No
The big wacky thing is why my PHONE's 'services' is different for these two macs and why only on the old one which lists "object push" can I simply push photos via BT in one step to my mac, but can't under leopard.
    PLEASE HELP! thanks in advance.
    Tom.

thanks for that se firmware link! i'm up to date now but still after setting up the bt device, i look under services on the phone and it still only shows audio remote (under leopard) as opposed to 'object push' (as was under tiger). what next?
I wonder if that firmware update was pre-10.5.2?
I would call SonyEricsson and find out about this. It's certainly a compatibility issue; and Leopard is what it is.
You might also contact Apple or, on their developer site, post a request for compatibility with your phone in the next release.
Here's the link to the Apple site contact form:
    http://developer.apple.com/contact/
No guarantees, but it's certainly an issue. It really depends on how many people have this problem.
I would hope SonyEricsson would be the one to fix it.
I know that there were some security "tightenings" with 10.5.2 that also affected older wireless and even wired modems, which had to have firmware updates to continue to "play" with Leopard, so I think one of them might be the one you are experiencing.
See if any friends with your model phone and Leopard have identical issues; if so, then you have a legitimate case.

  • Problems Connecting to Sony J-H3 with FW 800 on my MacBookPro

I just got the new MacBookPro with only a FW800 port. I used to connect to my Sony J-H3 deck via FW400. I didn't think there would be a problem now that I have to use FW800, but there is no connection between FCP and the deck. What do I need to do to control the deck or at least be able to capture from it with capture now? I don't need HD footage and realize I can't do that with just a firewire and the deck. I need to capture the footage in SD. I'm on the field, so I won't be able to buy an IO or anything. I have to go through the deck. Thanks. Please help.

I looked up the J-H3 and it just lists a "6-pin" Firewire port, so are you using a FW 800->400 cable to connect the deck to your laptop?

  • Has anyone else had problems connecting a sony hdrcx290 camcorder to their iMac? If so, what is the solution?

Needless to say a new buy. When I hook the usb cable to the camera to import video files I get an endlless "preparing message.." on the cam screen and it never connects with the computer. I contacted the SONY "online" support and they were totally clueless. Anyone have any ideas (aside from not buying sony products). Thanks in advance.

    Is that camera listed here?

  • TS1559 trouble connecting my Sony Ericsson Xperia arcs phone to my i pad 3

hi can anyone Please  tell me why my ipad 3 will not connect to my Sony Ericson Arcs phone avia blue tooth as i have never had troble connecting it before to other things before.
its dam well ******* me off.
    regards ian

Because iPad was never designed to connect to a phone via Bluetooth.  If your phone has a tethering option, you can contact your carrier to turn on tethering, but it is only designed to provide a 3G signal to permit you to use the phone as an internet hotspot.  Otherwise, it's not possible to connect a phone to iPad via Bluetooth.
ETA:  Bluetooth on iPad was designed only to connect Bluetooth devices, such as Keyboard, Headphones and Speakers.  Nothing else.

  • Nokia 6120 Classic problem

Hi everyone, I was directed here from another forum, and was hoping that someone could give me some good news.
I turned my phone off for about an hour today, and when I turned it back on, everything in the "Messaging" folder was deleted except for the templates.
All my other info (contacts, calender entries, notes, call logs) were left intact.
Normally I wouldn't mind, however there were some important messages which I hadn't backed up.
Is this a known problem? Is there anyway I can get these messages back, and lastly, is there a way to stop this from happening again.
    Thanks in advance.

I have hear of similar incidents. If it keeps on happening then you might have to take the phone to a Nokia Repair Center and ask them to check it out or replace it for you.
Experience and persistence are second to none just ask user one.

  • Sony ericsson W810i connection problem with macbook

I have a Sony Ericsson W810i, and I want to transfer some photo's from the phone to my macbook. I can get the bluetooth to link with the phone for tranfer, but I'm having problems when I try to use the USB cable. When I connect the USB cable, the phone recognizes the connection, and warns not to disconnect from the cable untill...etc. however, I never get an Icon on the computer recognizing the phone. in short, The mac never sees the phone. any ideas???

I don't believe Macs are cell phone compatible without some 3rd party hack or application. You might do a Google search for your phone model and Mac.
    Do you Twango?

  • Sony Ericsson W810i and iSync 2.4: "can not connect to this device"

I am using Mac OS 10.4.11 and iSync 2.4, which I believe are the most up to date versions. My Sony Ericsson W810i is shown as being compatible with iSync as shown on the iSync support page, but while I try to add the phone to it I get the message:
    "W810i
iSync can not connect to this device".
Does anybody have any ideas how to sort this problem? I've tried restarting both my computer and phone before trying again.

I finally figured out how to fix this problem. The mobile phone had to be initially added by the computer under Bluetooth to pair them before adding the device to iSync. Adding the computer as a device to the phone to pair them, as I had been doing, didn't allow it to work with iSync.

  • Sony Ericsson K800i and MacBook... How can I can connect to the web?

    Hi guys,
I've recently bought a new K800i Sony Ericsson. I set up bluetooth with my MacBook and everything's ok, but... I cannot connect to the web with my MacBook via K800i as a modem. Do you have any suggestions how to deal with the problem? I don't know... I mean special scripts, settings, and so on.
    Thanks a lot

Do you have the downloaded Modem files from the website (or possibly cd that came with it)?
I bought a SE K750i this summer and it has the same ability, and I went and downloaded a bunch of stuff off the website as my product was an international one and the Manual that came with it was in French. So I got my modem file at the same time.
It doesn't show where you are located, but if you are in the USA and your phone is an international one as well (the i usually stands for that) then you would probably want to hit up the UK version of the Sony Ericsson Website to find any possible downloads for it.

  • Unable to connect to Skype Nokia 6120 Classic, sig...

Hi I have a Nokia 6120 Classic on Vodafone Egypt. Last month I downloaded skype mobile onto the phone and was able to skype reasonably well (within limitations as I am at a remote location) I left Egypt for some three weeks and on my return the skype application now does not work. I have discussed this with Vodafone and they have resent the settings to the mobile and I have also removed and reloaded Skype. But still no joy it just hangs when signing in until it times out? Skype version is Sybian 1.5.0.12, it's saved on the phone memory. In the advanced settings the incoming conn. port 8877 The Alternative in. ports 8877.
I can still get the internet on the mobile (eg Google and searches ok) Voda fone tell me if I can access the internet I should be able to access Skype? As far as I can see this is the right Skype download and I got it from the Nokia website. In need of some help please as this little application was really quite good, the other options are very expensive.
