8.1.3 upgrade 3G Data not working on 4s

Yesterday evening I noticed my phone had No Service instead of signal bars, restarting and dialing *228 brought back service but I could not connect to 3G data at all still. Then after spending over an hour on the phone with Verizons tech support I was still able to make and receive calls but still had no data usage. The rep suggested I wait 24 hours to see if it was a system issue.
All day today and tonight I still have no data usage on my phone. Called Verizons tech support again, again spent over an hour on the phone with them and still no data.
Below is a list of the issues I am now experiencing since updating to iOS 8.1.3
• Losing phone activation intermittently
• No 3G data usage period.
• Do Not Disturb scheduled time blocking all incoming calls outside of scheduled quiet time. Manual is not on.
• Cannot erase to restore phone, or disable Find my iphone. Have changed my apple password and icloud password, but when entering into my iphone it says the password it invalid for both turning off Find my iphone and for trying to fully erase & restore my phone.
• Having intermittent issues making outbound calls when dialing from Contacts.

I am having a similar problem, after updating to 8.1.3 I have no 3G connection or network connection. I can make calls and use WIFI, but have no data connection or 3G service. I called Verizon multiple times and also Apple support thru Verizon, but nothing has fixed it. Have tried multiple resets on the phone and several complete restores on iTunes. Apple support suggested restore iphone and setup as new phone, which I've done twice with no help.
Every once in a while it will loose connection completely and I have to dial *228 as well to get service back. Phone worked fine before the 8.1.3 update. Very frustrated with the problem.

    Hold the sleep / wake button and the home button down until the phone shuts off and then allow it to reboot again

    BE WARNED - just because you are being asked to upgrade your Skype, it does not mean it will work on your machine. I am a fairly regular user of Skype and this morning was unable to log-in, being told that I needed to upgrade. I did so to 6.3.0.602 but I was unable to log-in once the software had downloaded. After some research on the forums and finally a text chat with Support, I was told that Skype 6.3.0.602 requires a Mac OSX of 10.9 or above - I have 10.5.8
    "So what can I do", I asked the tech support. The answer is nothing (unless I get new OS X software) - there is no Skype software programme that supports my operating system and no timeframe for when it might be available.
    Huh? That's right. It's just not available. So for now, users with less than OS X 10.9 will be unable to use Skype when they are instructed to upgrade. It really doesn't make sense. But just so you know....

    Please look at the top of the community page, and you will find a box "Search:". Write your problem here "Upgrade not working" and see what crops up.     Here you will read that the latest versions of Skype will not work on some of the versions of MacOS, and that PPC requires one version, Leopard another, Snow leopard another, Mountain Lion another. They are indoctrinated with a stamp in their forehead to enforce their congregation of true believers to install the latest with all "security fixes" or death is looming. They are not used to software that is 2 years old. 
    So, with Mac, we have different operating systems and different sets of libraries - and things may go belly up if you upgrade - a OS feature is done differently, a libary has been placed inside the OS, and is no longer needed - and if you try to use it, you will be trapped.
    Install the latest version that works for your Mac, and make sure to freeze this. Update the "info.plist" file and tell Skype that you use their latest should they pry. As long as it works, do not change anything!
    And make the change to stop Skype from checking every time you start.

  • What is up with the Quicktime 7.2 upgrade, it DOES NOT WORK!

    Quicktime 7.2 Internet Plug-In does not work with Safari? I am very up to date with all the upgrades to maintain security, and this most recent "upgrade" while may be plugging a security hole for the iPhone does not maintain past functionality. I have searched and done most if not all the suggested fixes (repairing permissions, removing Internet Plug-Ins, installing most up to date flash player, un checking Flash Media MIME setting, even forcing Safari to load w/ Rosetta) and am very disappointed with having to force Safari into Rosetta and shocked to hear the suggestion to abandon Apple altogether and use Firefox. I am using Safari to get away from Netscape and third party software to AVOID conflicts. Worse Firefox does in-fact work making me doubt its' security for internet banking.
    When is Apple going to FIX this Quicktime Update so that it works?!

    Same here. I don't have in Intel Mac, so it's not a Rosetta issue. I've patiently followed every tip I've read in many discussions. Reinstalled Quicktime. Installed Flash 9 Upgrade. Changed Quicktime settings (unchecked enable flash, unchecked Flash Media under MIME settings). Trashed Quicktime preferences.
    However in Safari, on upon trying to open any movie trailer on the Quicktime web site

    I get a Quicktime logo with a question mark. In Firefox (which I've also reinstalled) it quits unexpectedly when trying to open a movie trailer. In my own experiments, I've opened another admin account on my computer and when I log in there, everything works fine. You say "well just use that account then", that would mean me having to transfer all my files to the other account which I don't want to do unless someone has a really quick way to do so. Also, in checking the system preferences for Quicktime under both accounts, I don't see any difference. Both accounts are accessing the same software from the root level Applications folder, so why does it work in one account and not the other? Someone help, as I don't think I can read another 10 page discussion on this.

  • HELP NEEDED Data not working IPhone 6 3GB

    Hi there, For the past few months have had extremely frustrating issues surrounding my data usage on my O2 phone. It's a long story and I'll try and keep it brief. Around Feb/March on old contract/phone ( Iphone 5s 1GB) - found that when I ran out of data and called 2202 to add more data, I would be charged but the data was never used. As soon as I hung up the phone it still wouldn't connect (which it didnt use to do before) Got a new phone and contract on upgrade - IPhone 6, 3GB - As soon as I took it home and switched it on I got a text saying my data had run out. O2 said this was because my new contract had not kicked in. Left it 24 hours and still did not work on data. TRIED EVERYTHING network settings update/changed APN/turned on and off/reset. Nothing worked. They even added 5GB of data and changed my contract for the remainder of the month which they said should kick it into gear but it did not work at all. Never used my new phone on 3G. Then my bill date came - and it miraculously worked - clearly because the data had been reset. Within two weeks it had run out (no idea how I am very good with data) and AGAIN same issue - couldn’t add moreo2 have been extremely unhelpful and saying the issue is my fault and something is draining my data. My issue is though how can it work fine for 2 weeks and then as soon as I add more within milliseconds of putting down the phone something has sucked all my data? No account issues/nothing they can see is wrong apart from my account says I have used all my data (including the 1GB I called up to add on.) Im waiting for my bill date which is the 24th to see what happens. But o2 have essentially said they cannot help me which is ridiculous. I have changed all my data settings to stop push notifications/background app refresh etc. Any ideas as to why when I run out that is it? Apologies for the long message but its been an ongoing issue and very frustrating.

    So its now my bill refresh day. I've immediatley turned off my data so that its not being used. My My O2 says I only have an allwance of 1.09GB when my tarrif says 3GB on a different MyO2 page. WHAT IS GOING ON! How can they then say this is my own fault! (I've screenshotted this) Also a quick question - If i want to get out of my contract without having to wait 8 weeks for them to reply to my complaint, is there any way I can sell the phone myself? Or do I have to hand it back? At the end of old contracts I've always sold myself rather than handing over for 100 quid because I can get more. 

  • IOS6 cell data not working well

    Ever since upgrading to iOS6 my cell data is not working well. Sometimes it works great and sometimes it wont work all day long. I generally have Wifi around so it hasn't been a huge deal, but when I am out and about it gets annoying really quick. Things I've tried when the phone's data is not working:
    Go into my phone's settings turn cell data off, and then back on
    Turning the phone off
    Resting my phone's network settings
    Does anyone have suggestions about this?

    take the SIM card out and re-seat it.
    Call AT&T and see if they see any issues on their end.
    Contact Apple support;.

  • Switched Data Pkg. and data not working.

    I upgraded my data package yesterday from 5GB to 4GB with a mobile hotspot and we are shortly into the billing period but my data is still not working. Right when I selected accept to make the switch final, I got a text message that said I had used my data allowance for the month which it previously said 1.2. What do I do?

    Can i suggest using a slightly different color that fluorescent Pink is a bit to much to read: Back to your Question it has been that some has had the Same issue your Describing when you Got to 2GB of data your Connection Probably dropped and as you say your getting what's on the Screen So this is what i would Suggest.
    Do a Soft Reset So you can Get your phone Back to the Main Screen and From there i Wold Do a Factory Reset As one said that even thought the Set Mobile Data Limit is Unchecked it Still can cause the Issue. And i had a Rep that i Know that was using a Razr Maxx had the Issue Here and He Done the F.R. And it Took Care of  the issue. So you might Give this a Try And i was just given you a hard time on the Colors it's not that bad once i got use to it.  Welcome to the Forum b33 

  • IPhone 6: Data not working on T-Mobile?

    I recently switched from Verizon to T-Mobile's Simple Choice family plan with unlimited talk, text, and unlimited 2G data (with an additional 2.5G 4G data/month until 2016, it will drop to 1G 4G/month).
    I have full text and call functionality (sending and receiving), but my Data simply does NOT work. It always shows that it is connected to the network (4G, LTE) with 4-5 bars, but it has not once worked since I've had the phone. I can use Wifi just fine.
    On the My T-Mobile account app, I go to Device Support > Technical Support > Data Plan Check and it shows this message:
    "Your current data service is not compatible with your device...."
    Using Safari will pull up the u.web2go.com page that states this:
    "Your data plan does not work on this device...."
    I called the stand-alone T-Mobile store I activated the phone from and they said my account information is correct and the data plan is up and going so there should be no issues. (Other family members on my SAME PLAN also received the iPhone 6 and have NOT had any issues with data.) The T-Mobile representative told me to try the same stuff I had been trying, such as turning off my phone, resetting my phone, etc and none of that worked.
    When it was finally 24 hours from activation I called customer care. For some reason calling before 24 hours has passed will only get you thrown into the "it hasn't finished syncing and we can't help you" category. He checked the network in my area and nothing was down. We tried the same things the local T-Mobile store recommended and he even checked I was up to date with iOS (8.0.2) and the Network I was trying to connect to was correct. He submitted a ticket to the advanced team to fix how my phone is receiving the network signal. He told me to turn off my phone every 2 hours and it should start working within the next 3 days. Bummer, because I am PAYING FOR MY PHONE RIGHT NOW. Simply unacceptable that this is happening and I really, REALLY hope this works.
    Has this happened to anyone else?

    ANSWER:
    Apparently my phone was set up to receive Blackberry Data instead of iPhone Data for my data plan.Doesn't make sense to me, but it's true. All they had to do was put my phone "back" on iPhone data in their system and I was good to go in 2 hours! My data works!
    If you have this problem just have T-Mobile verify the data plan you have and (the "phone type") because the T-Mobile rep said mine was incorrectly getting Blackberry data.

  • After Upgradation BPF is not working for some users

    Hi All,
    We have recently upgraded from BPC 5.1 to 7MS SP7.  we are having multi server setup with one application / reporting server (windows 2003 and one sql server 2008 (windows 2003 64 bit).
    Intially before upgradation we don't have any issues with BPF and it worked fine for all users. But post upgradation tasks within the BPF  does not work for other users except for the first two people who first  used it. Other users have the same rights as the ones who can access the tasks.
    when they  click on the link it gets them to eExcel and the right application but doesnt open the package or report assigned to the task. It doesn't give us any errors, on the status bar we get a message finalising but does  not getting any thing.
    Any inputs ??

    Are you sure that those users have installed BPC 7 SP7 clients on their machine? Meaning that you uninstalled 5.1 clients and installed the new client from http://servername/Osoft?
    If yes, you should maybe run a client diagnostic on the machines and also check the Management Console for any error messages.

  • Extraction of certain master data not working

    Hi, we are on BI7 and some of the BC masterdata extractions are not working correctly.  Some masterdata working fine, consequently communication between systems working, but some master data fields e.g. 0co_area, 0chrt_accts and more are not working fine.  Get this on 3.x and new datasources.
    The data does get pulled through but the upload just never goes green, and keeps running.  If one look at the batch jobs (SM37) in the appropriate source system, it keeps on going until it is manually stopped. 
    I am only experiencing this problem with data pulled through from the production system - I am pulling it through to my testing and production box, but fails in both, where all other ECC systems are fine.
    In the monitor there is a warning and the following is the details of the monitor: 
    Overall status: Missing Messages or warnings
       Requests (messages):  Everything OK  (green)       Data request arranged  (green)
           Confirmed with:  OK (green)
       Extraction (messages): Missing messages (yellow)
           Data request received (green)
           Data selection scheduled (green)
           Missing message:  Number of sent records (yellow)
           Missing message: Selection completed (yellow)
       Transfer (IDocs and TRFC): Missing messages or warnings (yellow)
           Request IDoc: Application document posted (green)
           Info IDoc 1 : Application document posted (green)

    Thanks, for the responses.  The appropriate Idocs work fine with transaction BD87. I looked in SM58 earlier during the course of the day and there was no error, just checked again (8PM) and found some entries with error texts for BW background user - 6 errors within 10 seconds.  Something to do with 'ERROR REQU... PG# IN 1' - do not have authorisation at this moment to check the specific requests, but not sure if the master data extractions would have caused these.
    In the job log for the problematic jobs, only 1 IDoc get created, unlike the other succesful ones that have 3 IDocs (not sure if this means anything)

    First thing first you are teh number one in this world, there is no doubt about it and I am following apple since 6 years.
    I have a Apple iPad 2 Wi-Fi + 3G with cellular data. last night what I did I have updated my iOS on 3G Cellular  which it was asking from many days. But after the update I am not able to connect to internet and when I am inserting same(iPad) sim to my Apple iPhone its working fine and when I'm inserting my Apple iPhone SIM to my iPad is not working there, I have tried different sim which are working on other device but after the update its not working on my iPad. Though it showing full tower and I have checked all settings too, then also I am not able to connect to internet.
    I have reset my network settings and iPad to factory setting then also I am not able to get the internet on my iPad.
    before the update everything was awesome.
    Please Please help me what shall I do and how to resolve this issue.

    You are not talking to Apple on this forum. We are all users here. First thing it would try is to reboot your iPad.
    Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the iPad restart. See if that fixes your problem.
    If that doesn't help I'd contact Apple Support.

  • Go to today/date not working in agenda view

    I have my calendar set to default to the agenda view when I open the Calendar. When it opens it automatically goes to Oct 31 which is the first entry in my calendar rather then the current date. I go to the menu and select Today and it still remains on Oct 31. I then go to the menu and select Go To Date and the current date defaults as the option, select OK and it still remains on Oct 31. I have to manuall scroll down the current date.
    In the day, week, etc views the Today and Go To Date functions work fine. If I set my calendar to default to Day view or last or something else it opens on the correct or last day fine too.
    Something is jacked with my Agenda view. HELP!!!
    I even tried to delete events prior to the current date to see if this would make them go away and resolve my issue but when I select the Delete Prior and confirm the Delete nothing happens. All prior events are still there.

    are you sure your Blackberry did not have Oct, 31 as the current date ?
