8.1.7 NCOMP on Windows NT severely broken?

Windows NT 4.0 SP5
Has anyone managed to get 8.1.7 NCOMP to work?
This is a list of bugs I have encountered so far:
1. The synonym for jaccelerator$dlls is missing. You will need to add:
create public synonym jaccelerator$dlls for jaccelerator$dlls;
grant select on jaccelerator$dlls to <user or role>;
2. Some sub programs invoked by tbe NCOMP utily ignore the database TNS
given in the -user usr/pwd@tns parameter. You will have to set it up in
envorinment variables ORACLE_SID and LOCAL.
3. NCOMP and some of the sub programs use a lot of UNIX commands(!)
like rm, cp, touch, du, etc. You will have to add the following lines
to %ORACLE_HOME%\javavm\jahome\Settings_windows_nt.properties:
cp.command = copy.bat
ls.command = cmd /c dir
rm.command = cmd /c del
rmdir.command = cmd /c rmdir
du.command = du -k
ls.libs.command = cmd /c dir lib
where copy.bat contains:
@echo off
cmd /c copy %1 %2 %3 %4 %5 %6 %7 %8 %9
(you cannot use "cmd /c copy" instead of the .bat file since NCOMP
translates that into cmd \c copy!)
I'm not sure how I should translate the "du" program on Windows NT...
And since we don't have "touch" either this is a problem as well.
4. I still get errors when NCOMP calls "loadjava" and "dropjava":
dropjava -user scott/tiger@hulk_u EchoInput_depl.jar
-- got java.io.IOException: CreateProcess: dropjava -user
scott/tiger@hulk_u EchoInput_depl.jar error=2 when executing action: ...
5. LINK_COMMAND in %ORACLE_HOME%
\javavm\jahome\Settings_windows_nt.properties must be changed to use
backslash or Visual C++ won't accept the file:
LINK_COMMAND = $(visual.c.home)/bin/LINK /DLL /OUT:$@ \
/LIBPATH:$(visual.c.home)/lib /DEF:$(*:b).def $< \
c:\\orant817\\lib\\orajox8.lib
The blocking problem here is that the file %ORACLE_HOME%
\lib\orajox8.lib doesn't exist!
Please help! This got to be the most untested software released by
Oracle yet!

Thanks for the suggestion. I think IMPLIB is a Borland tool so I had to use a combination of DUMPBIN /EXPORTS and IMP /DEF to build the .LIB file. Unfortunately to no good seen that performance of the NCOMP'ed code is the same as before.
FYI I have raised 6 or 7 iTARs on this.
