9 i Forms  Checkboxes on the same canvas

Hi Everyone,
I need to show exceptions as checkboxes on the same canvas where i found and displayed the exceptions.
I have four fields and base on two of those fields which is a range of #. A begin and end.
I take that range( Beg and end) and show a multiline scroll tab and based on whether those number exceptions are released or closed which decide if that # will appear on the line of the checkbox. My canvas looks like this field h,i,j,k,l and m are in my first block.
field AAAAA FIELD H FIELD I FIELD J
field Beg BBBBBBBBBB XXXXXXX XXXXXXX XXXXXX
field End CCCCCCCCCC FIELD K FIELD L FIELD M
field DDDDDDDDDD ___ XXXXXXXX XXXXXXX XXXXXXXXX
_____ XXXXXXXX XXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXX
FDE FD F F G _____ XXXXXXXX XXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXX
1 XXX R
2 XXX R
3 XXX R C
4 XXX
5 XXX R
NOTE:
FIELD E HAS TWO EXCEPTIONS
LINE 3 AND 4
FIELDS E,F AND G ARE IN A DIFFERENT BLOCK
FIELDS K , L AND M SHOWS THE EXCEPTIONS FROM FIELD E
Fields H,I, J,K, L,M SHOULD BE ON THE RIGHT SIDE. THEY SHIFTED to THE LEFT.
CAN THIS BE DONE?
Thanks in advance.

  • Multiple data blocks on the same canvas

    Forms newbie question:
    Is it possible to have 2 data blocks with two different sets of transactional triggers (ON-UPDATE, ON-LOCK, etc.) on the same canvas?
    I've got an example where i've got two data blocks (one sourced from a view, and one that is a CTL block) on the same canvas. The block sourced from the view is working fine. When I make updates, they are reflected, etc. But, i've got one field in the control block that I need to update from as well, and I can't seem to get it (or any of the CTL block items) to show up as "updateable", regardless of the set_item_property....theyre always grayed out.
    Do i need to take the user to a new canvas to be able to utilize the update of the ctl field?

    A second canvas is not needed. Normally, control-block items are always updateable, so there is something going on in your form to prevent it.
    > I can't seem to get it (or any of the CTL block items) to show up as "updateable",

    What... Is there code someplace in the form that sets them to Enabled, false? If that is the case, then to get them working again, besides setting Enabled to true, you also must set Updateable and Navigable to Property_True. (This is documented at the end of the on-line help on Set_Item_Property.)

    I have oracle8.1.6 release 2 installed on microsocft windows 98. How do I installed forms 6i on the same machine. when I installed forms6i, it has overwritten the resgistry settings and I cannot run database any more. Please give me some ideas how to install all these on the same machine on windows 98 , operating system DOS.

  • How to validate multiple lines which is exist in the form builder at the same session

    Hi All,
    we are working on oracle Forms personalization to trigger the message at the point of saving multiple lines rather than requiring each line to be save individually. Currently the oracle form is allowing to user to enter two distinct lines that have same resource and basis type in BOM.
    Currently the Oracle form is allowing to enter the duplicate combination and not giving any error message even we enter the same combination of data.
    As per the customer requirement, they don’t want to validate the data while creating the records but when they try to save the form, in that case it should validate all the records at a time then need to display the appropriate message.
    Customer don’t want to customize the Oracle standard form. Here we have only option to use form personalization or through custom.pll.
    Any idea on how to validate multiple lines which is exist in the form builder at the same session as before inserting the record itself need to perform the validations for all the records.
    Thanks for your help in this regard.
    Regards,
    Thirupathi

    you can write a post script which will do the necessary tasks.
    I mean, once you are done with inserting records into these tables, exeute another procedure which will insert these "extra" records, based on some logic.
    you may not be able use DB trigger as it may generate mutating error or if you don't write it carefully, it will go into recursive loops as you are refering to same tables.

  • How to bind all the components in a form to have the same property

    i have a form with components and containers arriving from many objects to it fill up, and although there is not one line of code to change the font any where the font is sometimes bold and sometimes plain in different components, same components every time though.
    so my question is:
    what is the shortest way to bind the font property of all the component and sub-components added to the form to be the same one?

  • Hi, will my downloadable PDF forms look exactly the same as when I upload but with spaces filled in?

    Hi, will my downloadable PDF forms look exactly the same as when I upload but with spaces filled in?

    Not sure I understand the question. Are you talking about the "Download Response as PDF" feature (to see the PDF filled out with the filler's data) or the "Download Submission Enabled PDF" (to sent to people to fill out)?
    If you imported a PDF in FormsCentral, the Submission Enabled PDF will look exactly the same as the imported PDF plus a submit button
    If you designed the form in FormsCentral and save the Submission Enabled PDF it will look very similar to the web form (switch the view in the Design Tab to Page View to see what the PDF will look like)
    The PDF doesn't use skip logic or show/hide logic so this mean that the PDF always shows all the form elements
    I answered a similar question today. See http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1251981

  • Is it possible to have two different input forms to edit the same underlying data schema?

    I am noting that the Input Form name value must be equivalent to the underlying schema name.
    Hence it would seem only one form per schema is possible?

    The names don't have to match, but then the form XML has to explicitly call out the schema to edit with that form, using the attribute:
    entity-schema="namespace:schemaName"
    in the form open tag, e.g. <form entity-schema="neo:product">.
    Regarding your second question, can you use multiple forms to edit the same schema, let me look into that.

  • Overlay Images and Shapes on the same canvas

    The example copde below was taken from: http://math.hws.edu/eck/cs124/javanotes3/source/
    Is it possible to update the code so that images (jpg,gif) can be added as well as shapes?
    Any help with this is much appreciated.
        The ShapeDraw applet lets the user add small colored shapes to
        a drawing area and then drag them around.  The shapes are rectangles,
        ovals, and roundrects.  The user adds a shape to the canvas by
        clicking on a button.  The shape is added at the upper left corner
        of the canvas.  The color of the shape is given by the current
        setting of a pop-up menu.  The user can drag the shapes with the
        mouse.  Ordinarily, the shapes maintain a given back-to-front order.
        However, if the user shift-clicks on a shape, that shape will be
        brought to the front.
        A menu can be popped up on a shape (by right-clicking or performing
        some othe platform-dependent action).  This menu allows the user
        to change the size and color of a shape.  It is also possible to
        delete the shape and to bring it to the front.
        This file defines the applet class plus several other classes used
        by the applet, namely:  ShapeCanvas, Shape, RectShape, OvalShape,
        and RoundRectShape.

  • Question on multiple form elements with the same name !

    Hi All,
    I have a requirement in which more than one text field with the same name exists on a HTML page. We are using JSF framework (Oracle JDeveloper IDE and OC4J ) . I tried using a String array in my backing bean to handle these text boxes. When I hit the Submit, the action (method) is not invoked. But when I try with unique names everything works fine. Am I going wrong somewhere ?
    Thanks in Advance.

    You cannot have exactly the same name on objects.
    You will have to make an array of them to be able to
    o work with them properly--it will keep the names
    unique.I understand! But JSF creates its own names which are unique. The following JSF code
            <htm:tr>
                <htm:td>
                    <h:inputText value="#{Test.description}" id="description1"/>
                </htm:td>
            </htm:tr>
            <htm:tr>
                <htm:td>
                    <h:inputText value="#{Test.description}"  id="description2"/>
                </htm:td>
        </htm:tr>generates the following HTML code with unique names.
            <tr>
                <td>
                    <input id="Test:description1" type="text" name="Test:description1" />
                </td>
            </tr>
            <tr>
                <td>
                    <input id="Test:description2" type="text" name="Test:description2" />
                </td>
        </tr>
        <tr>Though I have a String Array in the backing bean, this doesn't work (The form does not submit to the method in the Backing Bean).
    Similar situation in Struts works absolutely fine.
    Any help would be appreciated !!!

  • Is it possible to have sorting by group and checkboxes in the same ALV

    Hi there,
    Does anyone know whether it is possible to have sorting and group on one field in ALV and checkboxes set on another field in ALV?
    eg.
    Fieldname
    ===========
    Name----
    Text
    Allowance----
    Numeric -> Sort & Group
    Verified----
    Checkbox
    How do I code it if it is possible to have grouping and check box all in one ALV.  Meaning I want some data that are the same to merge using sort, while still having the checkbox available for my other field (Verified).
    Thanks in advance.
    Lawrence

    hi,
    GROUP BY clause is used on database tables with select statement.
    sort is used on internal tables.
    can u clearly explain y u need group by and sort on the same field.
    if u are extracting from dbtable using grou by clause on a field, then no need to sort it again.
    if u want sort u can do it by giveing "sort itab by field". thats not a problem.
    now coming to check box.instead of using SLIS type field catalog, u use LVC type.
    in LVC_S_LAYO, u can fine box_fname.
    while defining layout, u declare a variable of type LVC_S_LAYO
    AND GIVE BOX_FNAME = internal table field name

  • How to display mutiple form contents on the same page

    I have multiple forms for a same page,when i press submit in one form it has to go to next form,where both form contents should display on the same page.Can anyone post example code for this?
    Thnx in advance.

    I have multiple forms for a same page,when i press
    submit in one form it has to go to next form,where
    both form contents should display on the same
    page.Can anyone post example code for this?that's not how it works. when you press submit, the form data is submitted to the server. you can then forward the user to a page with another form, but what you're talking about doesn't make sense

  • Form Confirmation on the same page

    Hi,
    Using Apex 4.1 and 11G
    I've been using ATDs excellent solution for confirmation of a form within the same page using a hidden page mode - How to POP up dialog box to Confirm Changes during CREATE / APPLY CHAGES
    It works perfectly when imported into APEX 4.2 EA2 and also when I import into my own development env as a seperate application.
    But within my own application it is not behaving correctly. The first submit (which doesn't invoke any database actions) posts back to the same page and shows the correct "Save" region . . . . but none of the fields show up. I though initially I was hitting a problem with the fact that Save State before branching is now deprecated . . . . and this is switched on in in the branching of the original app from ATD. But I'm not so sure because the button isn't even invoking validation as it is set to do.
    I'm totally new to this and stumped - could there be something at an application level that disrupting this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

    Have you tried using this plugin:

    there, you can define exceptions easily.

  • Cannot submit dynamic form when the form go to the same URL

    Hi,
    I am using Safari 5.1 (7534.50). I am having problem on dynamic form submission.
    When I click on the button 1 on the following form, it will open a page in a new window.
    After that, if I push the button 2, the form cannot be submit and it won't open a new page.
    If I push the button 1 again, the form cannot be submit again either.
    <form target="_blank" action="http://www.domain.com" method="get" name="prForm">
    <input value="0" name="test">
    </form>
    <a href="javascript:submitForm(1);">Submit Button 1 </a>
    <a href="javascript:submitForm(2);">Submit Button 2</a>
    <script type="text/javascript" language="javascript">
    function submitForm(val) {
        var pf = document.prForm;
        pf['test'].value = val;
        pf.submit();
    </script>
    This behaviour has been considered as a bug in Google Chrome and has currently been fixed.
    I wonder if Apple will fix the same bug in the future?

    Might make this easier to answer if you can see the page in question:
