A J2EE problem from an International Bank EJB-RDB remapping problem

Background Information:
We are going to deploy a J2EE project with DB2 V7.1 as the backend database server. However, the project is developed using WSED and initially assumed DB2 V.8 will be used as the database server. The inconsistency of DB2 version have us to make some amendments on the project. To simplify the scenario, what we do is to truncate the table/column name with length >18 to 18 defined in all .tblxmi, ... for EJB-RDB mapping. After we rebuild the project and deploy it in WAS 5.1, the following error occured,
CNTR0020E: Non-application exception occurred while processing method "populateSystemCache" on bean "BeanId(eFOSt
0#eFOS-Session.jar#SystemService, null)". Exception data: javax.ejb.TransactionRolledbackLocalException: ; nested exception is: com

at COM.ibm.db2os390.sqlj.jdbc.DB2SQLJConnection.prepareStatement(DB2SQLJConnection.java:1580)
We are sure that we have made all the necessary truncations for the table/column. We discovered that some of the .class file, e.g. SystemBeanFunctionSet_71684028.class, was generated under the directory ../websphere_deploy/DB2UDBOS390_V71_1 after we rebuild the project. Many column names with length >18 were found there, such as ACTUAL_MONTH_END_DATE.
PreparedStatement pstmt = null;
try
pstmt = prepareStatement(connection, "INSERT INTO FAK.SYSTEM (SYSTEM_CODE, ACTIVE_FLAG, SYSTEM_NAME, BUSINESS_DATE, LAST_BUSINESS_DATE, NEXT_BUSINESS_DATE, REGION_CODE, MONTH_FLAG, ACTUAL_MONTH_END_DATE, LOCAL_COMPANY_CODE, LOCAL_BRANCH_CODE, LOCAL_COUNTRY_CODE, LOCAL_CURRENCY_CODE, FUNDING_CURRENCY_CODE) VALUES (?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?)");
String tempString = (String)inputRecord.get(0);
May I know what those .class file (with number prefix in the file name)for and how can we solve the problem?
Thanks a lot

Put it simply, is there any method using WSED to
deploy the project using DB2 V.7.2 if the project is
assembled using DB2 V8 and no java source is
available ???If you are not making use of any functions specific to DB2 V8 how does it matter for you? The difference only lies in the DataSource configuration or something like that but certainly not on your java code(If you have not done anything specific to V8).Your problem sounds me like as suggested you have an extra/lesser parameters(?) or checkout the parameter that you are passing in is not overflowing any columns.

    You can try, but the iPhone warranty terms state that Apple "may" restrict warranty/service to country of original purchase...key word here is "may".
    Good luck.

  • Integration with Websphere 5.0 (EJB 2.0) problems

    Hello all,
    Although a bit new to JDO, I have been trying to integrate Kodo 2.4 with
    Websphere 5.0 (using EJB 2.0).
    I have been basically binding a PersistenceManagerFactory into JNDI via
    start-up servlet, however got the exception bellow when I tried to create
    PersistenceManagerFactory (in setSessionContext of the EJB).
    <i>JDOFatalInternalException: Could not perform automatic lookup of EJB
    container's javax.transaction.TransactionManager implementation. Please ensure
    that you are running the application from within an <b>EJB 1.1</b> compliant
    EJB container, and then set the
    com.solarmetric.kodo.ee.ManagedRuntimeProperties property to the appropriate
    value to obtain the TransactionManager.</i>
    The reference to EJB 1.1 actually scared me a bit. Does this imply that
    Kodo (2.4) does not support J2EE 1.3?
    Would you know how to set the
    com.solarmetric.kodo.ee.ManagedRuntimeProperties to make it work with WSAD
    5.0?
    Thank you,
    Petr

    Petr-
    Is the integration with Websphere 5.0 application server officially
    supported? Has anobody (that you know of) done it successfully yet?Yes, we do have reports of people using Kodo successfully from within
    Websphere. However, it should be noted that it is not as rigorously
    tested internally at SolarMetric as some other application servers (E.g.,
    JBoss and WebLogic). In short, integration is known to work, but it
    might be a little more rough around the edges than for other application
    servers (as shown in our misspelling of Websphere's TransactionManager
    implementation name).
    How do I tell Kodo to use existing Datasource managed by app server?You can have Kodo use a named DataSource by specifying the
    javax.jdo.option.ConnectionFactoryName property (see
    http://www.solarmetric.com/docs/2.4.0/docs/manual.html#javax.jdo.option.ConnectionFactoryName).
    This is often more appropriate for applications server usage, since it
    allows you to configure pooling and other information from within the
    application server's centralized configuration.
    javax.jdo.option.ConnectionDriverName=COM.ibm.db2.jdbc.app.DB2Driver
    javax.jdo.option.ConnectionURL=jdbc:db2:snetWhat kind of driver is COM.ibm.db2.jdbc.app.DB2Driver? The DB2
    configuration we use for testing with IBM's drivers is:
    javax.jdo.option.ConnectionDriverName=COM.ibm.db2.jdbc.net.DB2Driver
    javax.jdo.option.ConnectionURL=jdbc:db2://SERVER_NAME/DATABASE_NAME
    They shouldn't behave differently (I am guessing that the app driver is
    a type 2 driver or something), but it might be worth a shot to try using
    the net driver. If this fixes the problem, please let us know, because
    it will indicate that Kodo has a deficiency with one of IBM's drivers
    that we should look into resolving.
    Since I have been trying to integrate with App server, this is the
    initialization code that I use to bind PersistenceManagerFactory to JNDI.
    You may find some funny stuff there.The binding code looks fine, and you are obviously able to retrive the
    PM and start persistence operations. Note that you should also be able
    to deploy Kodo as a Resource Adapter (which allows Kodo configuration
    through the centralized Websphere configuration interface). However, I
    doubt this is part of the issue.
    So, in short, I recommend trying the following things:
    1. Using the ConnectionFactoryName to use the DataSource defined for the
    appserver, on the off chance this will fix it.
    2. Using the net driver instead of the app driver.
    3. Seeing if it will work with javax.jdo.option.Optimistic set to false
    If none of these work, please let us know, and we will continue to
    investigate other possible solutions.

    Hello Marc,
    Very good guess. Pretty much the same code worked well without App server.
    In that case, there obviously was no magic related to
    TransactionManagerFactory initialization (see bellow).

    supported? Has anobody (that you know of) done it successfully yet?
    How do I tell Kodo to use existing Datasource managed by app server?
    Here is the basic configuration (URL, class, etc):
    javax.jdo.PersistenceManagerFactoryClass=com.solarmetric.kodo.impl.jdbc.JDBCPersistenceManagerFactory
    javax.jdo.option.ConnectionDriverName=COM.ibm.db2.jdbc.app.DB2Driver
    javax.jdo.option.ConnectionURL=jdbc:db2:snet
    javax.jdo.option.Optimistic=true
    javax.jdo.option.RetainValues=true
    javax.jdo.option.NontransactionalRead=true
    We use DB2 Version 7.2/Version 7.1 FixPak 3 for Windows, in case it helps.
    Since I have been trying to integrate with App server, this is the
    initialization code that I use to bind PersistenceManagerFactory to JNDI.
    You may find some funny stuff there.
    The new EESimpleConfiguration(true) construct seems to (by default) read
    the kodo.properties file that is part of the project.
    EEConfiguration conf = new EESimpleConfiguration(true);
    conf.setManagedRuntimeProperties(\"TransactionManagerMethod=com.ibm.ejs.jts.jta.TransactionManagerFactory.getTransactionManager\");
    conf.setManagedRuntimeClass(\"com.solarmetric.kodo.ee.InvocationManagedRuntime\");
    EEPersistenceManagerFactory pmf =
                        new EEPersistenceManagerFactory(conf);
    InitialContext ic = new InitialContext();
    ic.rebind(\"KodoPMF\", pmf);
    Thank you,

    It looks like DB2 doesn\'t like our attempt to close the connection
    without a rollback or commit. This is odd, since we have never
    seen this happen in our stand-alone DB2 tests. Can you let us know
    the connection details (driver, connectionURL, etc)?
    In the meantime, one possible workaround may be to turn off
    optimistic transactions (since this will cause the PM to
    only use a single Connection); can you try to specify:
    javax.jdo.option.Optimistic=false
    Also, have you tried to run this code in a non-managed environment
    (e.g., outside the application server)? I would be interested
    to know if it is related to running within an appserver.

    Hi Abe,
    Thank you for a speedo reply. You guys really are on the ball!!!
    As you suggested, the
    \\\'com.ibm.ejs.jts.jta.TransactionManagerFactory.getTransactionManager\\\'
    did the job (for others, please note that the proper package name should
    contain \\\'jts.jta\\\', not \\\'jts.jts\\\').
    Unfortunately, I got another problem. When running a method containing
    query (code bellow),
    I get SQLException complaining about \\\'Invalid transaction state\\\'.
    The method that executes the query is a stateless transactional Session
    bean.
    Thank you for your help,

  • Strange problems with memory dimms(Banks) in imac 27in mid2010

    Hello dear Apple community. I had a really strange problem with memory dimms(modules anyway)
    I have one really good imac 27in with i7 but as you know after some years the lcd screen became yellowish and cloudy
    So i decided to clean it as i have some knowledge and i did that to others lcd screens with success.
    OK so after successfully cleaning and working like new ( i mean not the external screen with magnets but the lcd internally)i started it.
    Before dismantling my memory was 16gb ( 4x4 dimms)
    After starting it a strange problem arise without any reason! Memory reduced TO 8 GB!!!! memory banks on the right as we seeing it didnt worked at all
    and it was not from dimms because i swapped them..!!!
    So after a lot of thinking and asking tech guys to take a second opinion all the saying (including me that logic board failed for some strange reason.
    Some days before i installed CCleaner and also Onyx because after a lot of installations and uninstallations my mac became a little sluggish..
    I thought that some serious preferences files removed or some hardware settings deleted with Onyx ( is very good and powerful program that can fix the pc and also destroy it in a second) so i removed and reset all preferences. But nothing changed.. So i put a new hard drive and reinstall OXS to see if something can change.
    After formating HD to appleHFS+ saw system profiler that still couldn't see all banks(16gb). I remove logic board and i put another processor i7 that i have as a back up and still nothing( some saying that only these 2 things must be faulty if memory banks not working , processor an logic board and sometimes reinsatlling OS can fix it as i mentioned before. But still nothing...
    So from my nerves and after so much testings and no sleeping for 2 days as it was working i pulled off the memory modules from the right bank i put them again ( off course nothing changed) and i close it. After i restarted it like a miracle finally i saw that i have again 16gb in system profiler!!
    Tech guys here please give me an explanation to this because i gooing crazy! What happened and after i pulled off the dimms while it was working the problem fixed?? It is not recomended at all this action. I forgot to mention that i did Apple hardware test and nothing found..
    Sorry for long post.

    Okay great news...  My memory problems are solved and my Mac Mini is now running at 8 gigs of Ram. I tried the suggested DD3 1333 which  the computer wouldn't even recognize.
    So after visiting the Apple Store in the Fair Oaks VA shopping mall; they suggested that I try DDR3 8500 ram.    I visited Micro Center in Vienna VA, and I purchased BGreg's Suggested Crucial Brand Ram.  10 minutes after I got home the Mac Mini booted on the 1st try with 8 gigs of Ram.
    Some venting that Apple hopefully will read and mention to their resellers....
    The people in the Apple section of MicroCenter in Vienna at first argued that the Mac Mini only supports 4 gigs. EVEN AFTER I SHOWED THEM THE SPECS on the Apple website.  The clerk (who I am calling a clerk because by no means was he a "specialist") even suggested that the Apple site was wrong.  On a later visit to MicroCenter to purchase the DDR3 8500, that the people at Apple recomended; Microcenter even suggested and argued that I needed DDR3 1333 and NOT DD3 8500.  THIS WAS AFTER I TOLD THEM THAT Mac Mini WOULD NOT RECOGNIZE the DD3 1333 Dimms.   Working in retail myself I don't go along with the concept that the customer is always right, however in this instance clearly I was.
    I should point out that some of the staff in Microcenter really do try hard, however like with any business it only takes a few "know it all" bad examples to turn customers off.
    Curious post thought; I wasted about $75 in gas driving to and from Microcenter because of their bad advice.

  • Communication problem from the vpn-anyconnect to easy-vpn-remote

    Hi Team,
    I have a communication problem from the vpn-anyconnect to easy-vpn-remote, I´ll explain better bellow and see the attached

    1) VPN Tunnel between HQ to Branch Office - That´s OK
    2) VPN Tunnel between Client AnyConnect to HQ - That´s OK
    The idea is that the Client Anyconnect is to reach the LAN at Branch Office, but did not reach.
    The communication is stablished just when I start a session (icmp and/or rdp) from Branch Office to the Client AnyConnect,
    in this way, the communication is OK, but just during a few minutes.

    Hi,
    the communication works when you send traffic from easyvpn branch side because it froms the IPSEC SA for local subnet and anyconnect HQ pool. The SA will only form when branch initiates the connection as this is dynamic peer connection to HQ ASA.
    when there no SA between branch and HQ for this traffic, HQ ASA has no clue about where to send the traffic from anyconnect to branch network.
    I hope it explains the cause.
    Regards,
    Abaji.

  • EJB 3.0 - problem with persistence unit.

    Although i am quite new to this as well i would say that there is a problem with your connection with the database.
    It seems it cannot connect to Mysql.
    have you download the mysql package library and imported it ?
    Also in your deploy folder in you Jboss
    have you altered the jdbc to connect to you database in your dataset ? ( i am not sure about mysql, but postgre reguired this)
    Most probably it would be the same in mysql.
    <connection-url>jdbc:postgresql://127.0.0.1:5432/Dissertation</connection-url>
    Not sure if this is what you reguire, i am new at this my self

  • Internal bank info associated with R12 payment batch (PPR)

    All,
    I am working on the R12 report for AP Checks and have a question regarding the same. The eTrm for 12.1.1 says ((http://etrm.oracle.com/pls/etrm/etrm_pnav.show_object?c_name=AP_INV_SELECTION_CRITERIA_ALL&c_owner=AP&c_type=TABLE) that the bank_account_id is no longer used in ap_inv_selection_criteria_all table.
    Now, inorder to get the (internal) bank account information for which the PPR (payment batch/payment process request) is created, I was planning to use the ce_bank_acct_use_id in ap_inv_selection_criteria_all table as bank_account_id is no longer used but when I created a couple of PPRs, I found that the bank_account_id is ALWAYS populated and the ce_bank_acct_use_id is NEVER populated. Has anyone faced this problem before? Please let me know what is the right thing to do to get the internal bank account info associated with the PPR.
    Thanks.

    Hi Ash,
    I'm not aware of an open interface for Oracle "payment batches", so what you could do is:
    1. Load the details as AP Invoices via the Payables Open Interface tables, with check number, check date, payment status as DFF fields, and using a specific pay group.
    2. Import the invoices using open interface import (you specify a payables batch name here)
    3. Pay the invoices in Oracle using a dummy payment batch that does nowhere.
    4. Modify the standard reports so that the check number / date is picked up off the invoice DFF.
    Note that this method assumes you already have the Vendor and Bank Account created in Oracle. There is an open interface for suppliers, but not bank accounts.
    Regards,
    Gareth

  • Disk utility restore problem: cannot drag internal hdd to destination field

    I'm currently trying to restore a time machine backup after my boot ssd recently failed, but am having trouble restoring the backup to my secondary internal drive in the optical bay. My set up isthe following:
    Failed ssd in primary hdd  bay of MacBook Pro (mid 2010)
    1tb secondary  hdd in optical drive bay with time machine backup of failed ssd.
    2tb external drive
    The following is what I have done so far...
    1. Booted into the secondary internal drive and restored the time machine backup onto the external USB drive.
    2. Booted from the restored backup on the USB drive (this now looks like my old computer again but is very slow as its USB 2.0)
    3. Partitioned the secondary internal drive in the optical bay.
    4. Now I want to copy the restored volume on my USB drive to the secondary internal drive in the optical bay.
    When I open disk utility's restore function I can put my original volum in the source field, however, it will not let me put either partition of my internal drive in the destination field. It has no problem putting other partitions from the USB drive in the destination field - just will not allow anything from the internal drive. Why is this?
    I'm thinking it could possibly be because it is in the optical drive bay and apple has prevented copying full volumes into this bay, but then again surely this would be needed when burning DVDs at some stage. Any ideas? Many thanks in advance for any help.

    I managed to complete the restore and you may have been right - I booted from the internal hdd then restored the time machine backup stored on the usb drive to a different partition on the internal hd. Seemed to work fine now running of the hd in the optical drive bay but has still crashed a couple of times which is pretty odd. Perhaps the failed ssd in the main drive bay is still causing a bit of a nuisance (it registers for the first 3 minutes after booting up then disappears). Also didnt notice the responsiveness too much when upgrading from hd to ssd, but going the other way back to hd - can definitely now tell the difference. Painfully slow at times! I need to get that ssd replaced I think.  Anyway thanks for your advice!

    If you are trying to create a Tuxedo service in Java using WTC you need to develop an EJB that implements the TuxedoService interface and register its home in JNDI so WTC can look it up. Once that is done you can then export the service to a remote domain in the WTC configuration.

  • Problem while exporting internal table to memory id using EXPORT

    Hi friends,
    Iam facing a following problem.
    I have 4 line items in my va01 tcode.
    now when i give material number and quantity and hit enter the processing for that line item starts.
    iam moving that current line item to a internal table lt_vbap in userexit_check_vbap.
    now for the 2nd line item also i have to move to internal table lt_vbap.
    but my problem is that in internal table lt_vbap iam not getting all the line items.
    every time the current line item is being processed the the previous line items are being refreshed.
    from lt_vbap internal table.
    how can i export internal table.
    code
    move vbap to lt_vbap.
    append lt_vbap.
    export lt_vbap to memory id 'ZXYZ'.

  • Help needed to get unique record from an internal table

    Hi Everybody,
    I have to get unique record from an internal table. i know we can use read statement with key condition .
    But the problem is i have to use some relational operators like GE or LE.
    eg
    read table itab into wa with key width GE itab-widthfrom
                                                       width LE itab-widthto
                                                       machno eq itab-machno.
    Its giving me error when I use the operators GE , LE.( I think since it can't find a unique record with those relational
    operators in the with key statement)
    Is there any other way to get unique record from internal table without using the loop?
    Thanks,
    Sunny

    Using the read statement you will need some kind of loop. For example.
    DO.
    READ TABLE......
      WITH KEY ......
                        READ = SPACE
    IF SY-SUBRC EQ 0
      TABLE-READ = 'X'.
      MODIFY TABLE
      ADD 1 TO W_FOUND.
    ELSE
      EXIT.
    ENDIF
    ENDDO.
    IF W_FOUND EQ 1.
    ...record is unique.
    ENDIF.

  • Filling dynamic internal table with data from other internal table

    Hi Friends,
    My problem is that i have already built a dynamic internal table
    (class int_table->create) but now i want to fill it with data from other internal table.
    The dynamic table column name and the field value of the data filled internal table are same, but how to access that column name, since i cant hard code it anyway.
    Like if my werks field value is '8001'. I want to place it under the column 8001 of dynamic table, Can anybody help me in this regard?
    Awarding points is not a problem for even giving a slight hint.
    Best Regards

    Hi
    See this
    Dynamic internal table is internal table that we create on the fly with flexible column numbers.
    For sample code, please look at this code tutorial. Hopefully it can help you
    Check this link:
    http://www.****************/Tutorials/ABAP/DynamicInternaltable/DynamicInternalTable.htm
    Sample code:
    DATA: l_cnt(2) TYPE n,
    l_cnt1(3) TYPE n,
    l_nam(12),
    l_con(18) TYPE c,
    l_con1(18) TYPE c,
    lf_mat TYPE matnr.
    SORT it_bom_expl BY bom_comp bom_mat level.
    CLEAR: l_cnt1, <fs_dyn_wa>.
    Looping the component internal table
    LOOP AT it_bom_expl INTO gf_it_bom_expl.
    CLEAR: l_cnt1.
    AT NEW bom_comp.
    CLEAR: l_cnt, <fs_dyn_wa>, lf_mat.
    For every new bom component the material data is moved to
    temp material table which will be used for assigning the levels
    checking the count
    it_mat_temp[] = it_mat[].
    Component data is been assigned to the field symbol which is checked
    against the field of dynamic internal table and the value of the
    component number is been passed to the dynamic internal table field
    value.
    ASSIGN COMPONENT c_comp_list OF STRUCTURE <fs_dyn_wa> TO
    <fs_check>.
    <fs_check> = gf_it_bom_expl-bom_comp.
    ENDAT.
    AT NEW bom_mat.
    CLEAR l_con.
    ENDAT.
    lf_mat = gf_it_bom_expl-bom_mat.
    Looping the temp internal table and looping the dynamic internal table
    *by reading line by line into workarea, the materialxxn is been assigned
    to field symbol which will be checked and used.
    LOOP AT it_mat_temp.
    l_nam = c_mat.
    l_cnt1 = l_cnt1 + 1.
    CONCATENATE l_nam l_cnt1 INTO l_nam.
    LOOP AT <fs_dyn_table2> ASSIGNING <fs_dyn_wa2>.
    ASSIGN COMPONENT l_nam OF STRUCTURE <fs_dyn_wa2> TO <fs_xy>.
    ENDLOOP.
    IF <fs_xy> = lf_mat.
    CLEAR lf_mat.
    l_con1 = l_con.
    ENDIF.
    Checking whether the material exists for a component and if so it is
    been assigned to the field symbol which is checked against the field
    of dynamic internal table and the level of the component number
    against material is been passed to the dynamic internal table field
    value.
    IF <fs_xy> = gf_it_bom_expl-bom_mat.
    ASSIGN COMPONENT l_nam OF STRUCTURE <fs_dyn_wa> TO <fs_check>.
    CLEAR l_con.
    MOVE gf_it_bom_expl-level TO l_con.
    CONCATENATE c_val_l l_con INTO l_con.
    CONDENSE l_con NO-GAPS.
    IF l_con1 NE space.
    CONCATENATE l_con1 l_con INTO l_con SEPARATED BY c_comma.
    CLEAR l_con1.
    l_cnt = l_cnt - 1.
    ENDIF.
    <fs_check> = l_con.
    l_cnt = l_cnt + 1.
    ENDIF.
    ENDLOOP.
    AT END OF bom_comp.
    At end of every new bom component the count is moved to the field
    symbol which is checked against the field of dynamic internal table
    and the count is been passed to the dynamic internal table field
    value.
    ASSIGN COMPONENT c_count OF STRUCTURE <fs_dyn_wa> TO <fs_check>.
    <fs_check> = l_cnt.
    INSERT <fs_dyn_wa> INTO TABLE <fs_dyn_table>.
    ENDAT.
    ENDLOOP.

  • Problems connected new internal hard drive to iMacG5

    My original internal driver needs replacement. I bought a 160GB Mastor/Seagate ATA/100 driver per the instructions of the mac genius. Everything is identical but the connector (male part) is different from the old one. What do I need to do? Where can I find instructions for dealing with this issue? Is there a more precise hard drive that I should have purchased?

    Friends, I think I have the same problem. My internal drive died and - encouraged by the "user-replaceable" info from Apple, purchased a Western Digital 500GB "Caviar GP" SATA drive. My problem is, while installing the new drive, I discovered that the new drive lacks the small 4-pin connector at the back of the drive (and, instead, has a larger four pin male connection on the same side as the other two cable connectors. So I assume I have the wrong model drive.
    Am I stuck with the wrong drive or is there some kind of connecting cable I could get? I appreciate any suggestions you might offer.

    Now I want modify the internal table of 2nd record. The data above has modified in the header.but not reflected in the body.
    Here is my code:
    SELECT SINGLE inco1 inco2

                          xvbkd-inco1 = wa_xvbkd-inco1.
                          xvbkd-inco2 = wa_xvbkd-inco2.
                          modify table xvbkd from wa_xvbkd transporting  inco1 inco2.
                         endif.
                        ENDIF.
    Requirement: is the 2nd record(item 10) in above internal table has to reflect the change with EXW and China.
    Pls help me with ur valuable suggestions.
