A message that says :"A copy of Firefox is already open. Only one copy of Firefox can be open at a time." keeps popping up when ever I try and reinstall firefox.
My Mac thinks that there is still a firefox running even though I deleted the old one. How can I get firefox to run again?
After I updated to the new version of firefox I did not like it, so I wanted the old version back. I tried deleting firefox by bringing it to my trash. Now I am stuck and I cant even get the updated version running again.
Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

I am trying to delete an XLS file from a network drive and am getting a message that says the file cannot be deleted because it is in use. I can't see where it is in use and have tried to reboot the computer to no avail. I can delete other files but several XLS files are giving me this message.
You said it was a network drive. So is someone else on the network using that same file or may have have left with excel still accessing it on their system?

Getting as message that says"The folder "Desktop" could not be opened because you do not have sufficient access privileges". How can I get into this folder?
OPen your Users folder, Highlight the Desktop Folder, do a Get Info or CMD+i on it, see if it's locked or if you have Rights & Privileges at the bottom.

I exported my iBook and got the .ibooks file on my Desktop(iMac Retina 5K), I tried to put the file into the iBooks application but I get a message that says "The file "______.ibooks" couldn't opened because it isn't in the correct format. I took the same file and transferred it in my MacBook Air and was able to put it in the iBooks application no problem, the MacBook Air runs OS X v 10.9.5
Please advise as to Why it would work on an older OS X version as oppose to the newer OS X Yosemite

I may be doing something wrong because looking at the "Purchased" in iBooks I only see all the books that I actually purchased, none of the iBooks that I created in iBooks Author shows up. I can re-download all the iBooks I've purchased and some in iCouds, but the ones I've created in iBooks Author are no where to be found.

I would read the document in full, but here are the applicable steps for you:
How to restore iPod
Verify that you have an active Internet connection, because you may need to download new versions of the iTunes and iPod Software.
Download and install the latest version of iTunes if necessary.
Open iTunes. Connect your iPod to your computer using the USB or FireWire cable that came with your iPod.
After a few moments, your iPod will appear in the Source panel in iTunes.
Select your iPod in the Source panel. You will see information about your iPod appear in the Summary tab of the main iTunes window.
Click Restore.
If you are using a Mac, you will be asked to enter an administrator’s name and password.
A progress bar will appear on the computer screen, indicating that stage one of the restore process has begun. When this stage is done, iTunes will present one of two messages with instructions specific to the iPod model you are restoring.
Disconnect iPod and connect it to iPod Power Adapter (typically applies to older iPod models).
Leave iPod connected to computer to complete restore (typically applies newer iPod models).
During stage two of the restore process, the iPod displays an Apple logo as well as a progress bar at the bottom of the display. It is critical that the iPod remain connected to the computer or iPod power adapter during this stage.
Note: The progress bar may be difficult to see, because the backlight on the iPod display may be off.
After stage two of the restore process is complete, the iTunes Setup Assistant window will appear. It will ask you to name your iPod and choose your syncing preferences, as it did when you connected your iPod for the first time.

Trying to uninstall itunes 11.0.4 in order to update to the most recent itunes. I get an error message that say..."This installation package could not be opened. Contact the application vender to verify that this is a valid windows installer package.

I am unable to access my Facebook account on iPad mini. When ever I try to login, it says go to setting and there i am asked to renter the password. After entering the password nothing happens, neither the option of done gets activated and nor anything happens automatically.

This error message occurred after I lost all of my bookmarks and history. I followed the instructions to rename the file and restart Firefox. When I did, the message appeared, and it has not gone away. I've even tried re-installing Firefox and it still won't work. I've got the latest update and I use a MacBook.

Every now and then I will come back to my computer and see a message saying that something is preventing Firefox from updating correctly, am I sure that I have got the latest version.
Included in the message box is a link to www.firefox.com, when I click on the link I get a page with various downloads and a message saying that my Firefox is up to date.This issue can be caused by the presence of leftover files in the Firefox program folder (defaults\pref) like a file firefox.js that overrides the update URL with a wrong link.
Do a clean reinstall and be sure to remove the Firefox program folder to remove the file(s) that cause the problem.
Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere in the Firefox Profile Folder and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox.

You may see that message below the Google search box on www.google.com/firefox which is the old Firefox default home page. That page is no longer being maintained by Google.
You should try changing your home page to:
about:home
If you don't know how to change the home page, you should take a look at the Knowledge Base article [[How to set the home page]].

My computor shut down and I called the lenovo help centre.I was then told that as my computor was not responding that I would have to return it to its factory default settings. The guy told me to turn off the computor and then press f11 and hold while turning it back on . I now see the message on the screen windows vista build 6001, this copy of windows is not genuine.
