A multi-field spinner model like spinnerdatemodel

suppose there is an instanceof JSpinner whose model is a SpinnerDateModel. The format of the value displayed in the text field is "yyyy-MM-dd HH:mm:ss", when the caret of the text field is near the "yyyy", then the up or down button changes year of the date; simiarly, if the caret of the text field is near the "HH", it changes the hour.
Now I want to another spinner model called "SpinnerPointModel" by myself, and the format is (x, y). The same with SpinnerDateModel, I can separately change the x or y value partly instead of the whole value.
Is there any jide package which can implement this. thanks,

you may have to dig into the source code for SpinnerDateModel and copy/modify
how it is done with the calendar 'fields'

  • Multi-field Interactive Stamp?  Server Accessible?

I am trying to figure out how to create a custom multi-field stamp that prompts the user to input information into each field (but not required).  I've gotten as far as creating the stamp .pdf file and adding form fields to it, but don't know how the "Custom Calculation Script" javascript needs to work.  I am not a programmer so the javascript code i've seen in several places (acrobatusers.com, "add dynamic exhibit stamps" article by Rick Borstein) is difficult for me to translate into the needs of my interactive stamp.
Below is what the stamp will look like, but I can't get the form fields to "activate" when I stamp another document (i.e. can't enter in data directly into the field) or prompt user for input.  It just gets placed on the document as a static flat image.
I would also like to place the custom stamp file on our server so that any user can add this stamp to a document they're working on from their own computer.  Is this possible or will each user have to save the file to their local machine first before using it?
Appreciate any help thrown my way.

  • Multi-choice parameters with "like" condition

    Hi,
I defined a parameter, multi-choice, using a "like" condition.  It always works for the first value of the LOV and ignores the rest of the values chosen.
Is there any way that the "like" condition can be used for more than one parameter value?
In other words, if someone chooses values A,B,C from the LOV, I would like the condition to be interpreted as:
Field like 'A' or Field like 'B' or Field like 'C'.
    --Further explanation--->
The reason that I need to use LIKE is that the field contains, e.g. A-1, A-2, A-3, B-1,B-2...
Instead of having the LOV list the variations, it would be much easier for the user to choose A and then get all the A's that exist.
    Thanks.
    Leah

What I am still understanding is defining the calculated field as a predefined length which I don't think will work since some of the values are shorter and some longer.
However, you gave me another idea (unless this is what you really meant).  I can define the calculated field similar to how I defined the list of values, i.e. take the value of the field until the '-' sign (if it exists).  If the actual field value is "permit medical-2", then in the LOV it only says "permit medical".  If the original field is "surgery" then the LOV  is "surgery.  I can do the same thing in the calculated field.  Then the condition would be calculated field = LOV.
Thank you!  Now my only problem is that I will not be at work for 10 days so I will have to wait until then to try it.
I will let you know how it worked out.
    Thanks.

  • [TEM] Creation of Multi - Lingual Appraisal Models

    Hi Experts! (Zsolt? )
We need Multi- Language Appraisal models so that end-user in the ESS portal can choose what language they prefer during maintenance of appraisal form for BEs.
In our Appraisal Catalog, there are already created identical Appraisal Models but in different languages. In English and in German.
When I assign Appraisal models in PP01 to BETs, I can only choose 1 of these Appraisal Model (English or German). So the Appraisal model that appears in the Portal can only be English or German depending on what you've assigned to the BETs in PP01. Users cannot choose whether they prefer appraisals in English or German.
We are trying to implement a functionality where users can choose the language they want.
How do I do this? Does it involve customization of the Appraisals Catalog table.
    Many thanks!
Points to those who can help.
    Regards,
    Olekan

    Hi Olekan,
to do the assignment with several Appraisal models to one BET is not this easy thing. Let me explain you why:
You can assign to one BET two different app. models ->
    > BE appraisal
    > Attendee appraisal
These are related to the BET with different relationships. The point now is that you can assign with PE transasction (PVD0) ONLY ONE APP.MODEL TO ONE BET WITH THE SAME RELATIONSHIP.
Theoretically you can do more by changing the Time constraint of this relationship. I think you will be able than to assign more App. Model in PP01  after changed the Time constr. BUT THIS IS NOT A PE TRANSACTION. Whether the application will enable you to choose from these realted objects while running it is not sure. This is a design issue, that the PD transaction (PP01) and the PE transaction (PVD0) don't have the same logic.
I can show you another example to understand my point of view:
if you create a Web-link to the Event in PE transaction while creating an event you are able only attaching one link. BUT if you do maintaining in Change modus on the event in PP01 you will be able to assign more Web-links..
In this case the situation works, you are able to page between the links later, the multi-assignment is accepted by the app.
Please check whether in our case the app. accepts the multi assignment with PP01 and whether you are able to show on ESS portal side the option to choose.
    Best regards,
    Zsolt

  • JDev 11g: Best Practice Multi Field Validation / Reset in a Dialog Control

I'm using JDev 11g and want to do the following (excuse my newbie learning curve):
    1. Ability for the user to have a "dialog" form that they can edit their user information such as name, password, email, etc.
    2. When user clicks OK want the system to validate that password fields are the same (there are two of them).
    3. When user clicks Cancel I want the form to reset and the dialog to close.
Sounds easy right? However, I've seen several ways to implement and none of them seem straight forward and don't appear to work like I would want so instead spending the next day coding want to know if there's an easy solution.
    For # 2:
The examples on the web use a phase listener for multi-form validation which when using a small dialog in a larger arena seems like overkill since the entire view will get my event right? Is there a similar thing for subform or subview?
Another example uses a listener for value change, however that doesn't work to well when trying to validate two fields match.
    For # 3:
A standard OK Cancel dialog does not auto reset a form within it (it leaves the text - even invalid text in the field). Adding my own button for reset doesn't close the form and adding a reset listener doesn't close the form either. Is there a simple way and I'm just overlooking it? Should I use the standard buttons and somehow assign the cancel to reset the form or define my own and somehow close the popup? There's not too much documentation I can find about using Javascript to modify objects such as closing a dialog.
Anyone have the best approach that should be followed with less headache downstream and better portability to other forms with more complex validation? Any examples I missed that shows this working in a dialog?
    Thank you,
    Kris

    Hi,
    I don't understand #2, so ignoring it
#1 You can set the immediate property on the two password fields. In a value change listener you compare the two provided values and if they match, you continue processing. Otherwise you set an error message and call response complete. Note that as much as we like to provide everything declarative, coding is something that we cannot neglect completely in a programming environment.
#3 You can intercept the dialog close event and in this event determine which button was pressed. If it was the cancel button, get the current row from the underlying iterator and call refresh() passing one of the arguments you find when typing "Row." e.g DB refreshWithDBForget.

  • Has anyone tried to mimic State Model like features on Opportunity Stages?

We would like to make sure that users can only move forward on the sales stages & not backwards. The users can "loose" the opportunity from any of the intermediate stages.
For simplicity we can assume that there is only 1 sales methodology.
    Thanks In Advance.

You can try some field validations, assuming you have very minimal sales stages.
When I discussed this feature with one of the prod. managers during Oracle conference, they did not have much idea about state model - so i can very well say its not part of R15
This is a must have feature and i hope oracle has this as part of their roadmap for future release

  • Calculated field in model of easy cost planning

    Hi,
I would like to introduce the cost model easy planing a calculated field (characteristic), which was the multiplication of two fields (Characteristics).
I have entered into the transaction CKCM "Easy Cost Planning: Model", I created 3 Characteristics (A,B,C)through the option
    "Assign Characteristics to the model."
I entered the "Define the derivation rules (template)" and created a calculation with the two characteristics( C = A * B). The problem I have is that I did not enter the calculation in characteristic 3, which is what I want to pick up the value.
    Many Thanks.
    Regards.

    Hi Vivek,
    Thanks for answering.
My question is, how I can assign a  calculation in a characteristic?
    Characteristic A
    Characteristic B
    Characteristic C = A * B
I want the easy cost planning screen, enter a value in the characteristic A and B, it will automatically calculate the C and view the calculation in the screen in characteristic C. As I can do?
    Thank you very much.

  • Track field changes - Modelling

    Hello Gurus,
I hope someone out there can help me. I have a requirement to track header data field changes from data loaded from a non-SAP external system and report on the changed columns showing old value and new value. I am using dbconnect to extract data into a standard ODS.
What modelling do I need to do to satisfy this requirement.
    Can you please help?

    hi Ruregerero,
i think at least there are 2 approaches
    #1 account-base,
    keyfield1- keyfield2 - ... keyfieldN -  itemname - old_value new_value - change_flag
with this, it's more flexible in terms of if new item(s) to be tracked come,
    but will have more records
to have reports like following, in query you can use 'restricted keyfigures' (each keyfigure restricted to item value),
    keyfield1- keyfield2 - ... keyfieldN -  item1_old_value -item1_new_value -changes (new-old)- item2_old_value item2_new_value-...
    #2 column-base
    keyfield1- keyfield2 - ... keyfieldN -  item1_old_value - item1_new_value item2_old_value - item2_new_value .... itemN_old_value - itemN_new_value
not flexible for new item added, has to add new infoobjects in ods,
performance may better compared to approach #1
    hope this helps.

  • Lookup field not rendering like drop down in New Item form

    Hi
I have been making a page to add new item to a list, for this i am using new item form.
I am having a two lookup fields in that list of which one contains more than 20 items and other only 3.
My first problem is that first lookup renders as a text box ONLY in IE 9 mode(nothing appears even when you click on the down arrow), but when I change the mode to IE 8, the rendering changes to a textbox + ajax + filtering list instead of the simple drop

  • Validation on multi fields

    Created a form on a table. table1 has columns:id (not null),fname,lname,div
Need a validation: if all 3 fields are empty (fname, lname, div) then don't accept the input from the form.
How do you do a validation on multiple fields in apex? I can write a function like
if (:fname is null and :lname is null and :div is null ) then return True else return False.
But how do you put this into the condition under the process section in Apex? basically it means if all 3 fields are null then don't execute the process row of table1 when user click create button.
Can someone give me some pointers? Many thanks in advance.
    tai

    Tai,
You can create page level validations in APEX where you can do what you have specified.
In Page definition, click on + sing against 'Validations', Slelect 'Page level validation' and click NEXT, Select 'PL/SQL' click next and here select 'function returning boolean' and put your code.
Return FALSE -- if validation fails
