A selected row in af:table does not get sorted.

Hi,
When a table supports single selection and the table contains quantity of rows gt it can fit into its viewport, then, on sorting, selected row gets out of the sorting process. But when you move to the end of the table, select a row there and then sort the table, then all rows sorted correctly. The selected row, after sorting, always set as a first row in the current viewport, doesn't matter whether it is in the order or out of it.
Noteworthy, when number of rows is lt the viewport allows:
1. sorting works as it should to;
2. on sorting/PPR'ing, as it gets some time, one can see how the viewport updates in two steps and in the first step the first row is the selected one.
JDev's version is 11.1.1.3.0.
VO, iterator and tree bindings, af:table all the props related to data retrieving, fetching and row displaying have default values.
What can cause that?
Thx,
Y.

Hi,
so what you are saying is that the selected table row is not sorted but added on top. I tried to reproduce this with 11.1.1.3 but can't see the issue. I tried with editable and read-only tables

  • Select All in a table does not work for Drag and Drop

    Hi. I am using Jdeveloper 11.1.1.2 but have also reproduced in 11.1.1.3.
    I am trying to implement drag and drop rows from one table to another. Everything works fine except when I do a Select All (ctrl-A) in a table, the table visually looks like all rows are selected, but when I try to click on one of the selected rows to drag to the other table, only the row I click on is dragged.
    I tried setting Range Size -1, fetch mode to FETCH_ALL, content delivery to "immediate" but nothing works.
    I even have reproduced not using a view object but just a List of beans with only 5 or 10 beans showing in the table.
    Does anyone know how to get Select All to work for a Drag Source?
    Thanks.
    -Ed

    Frank-
    OK, thanks for looking into that. I also submitted this service request, which includes a simple sample app to demonstrate the problem:
    SR #3-2387481211: ADF Drag and Drop does not work for rows in table using Select All
    Thanks again for the reply.

  • Select Insert into staging table does not load varchar2

    I have a select insert query that loads a prebuilt table. I am running this query through Heterogenous services which points to a MySql database.
    If I run just a select query in SQL PLUS then it returns all rows just fine.
    However, when I put the select insert into a stored procedure, compile it, then run it. It does not load any VARCHAR2 datatypes but it does load DATE and NUMBER datatypes.
    I also have another table with VARCHAR2 and it loads fine.
    How can the database only load some of the items in a row and not others (VARCHAR2)
    For instance, the query will load TRANSACTION_ID, ORER_NUMBER but will not load any data into BILLFIRST_NAME, and their is data to load.
    CREATE TABLE "TRAN_STG"
    (     "TRANSACTION_ID" NUMBER(11,0),
         "ORDER_NUMBER" NUMBER(20,0),
         "BILL_FIRST_NAME" VARCHAR2(100 BYTE),
    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    can it be that there are differences in characterset? Can it be that there are differences in datatypes? Can it be that there are differences in field length?

  • Selection in the master table is not getting reflected in the child table

    <p> I have a 4 level master detail relationship.I have a bounded taskflow where I have a master in the first view.The child (The other two levels as a tree) in the second view.I move to second view when i click the command link(Each row has a command link) of the master table (present in the first view).</p>
    <p>At the very first time when i try to insert a row in the child it's successful .I am able to see the same in the second view (The corresponding child of the master row which i have clicked).The 2 view is not refreshed i have panel strech layout in the 2 view which i am refreshing(PPR) on inserting the row. The master table is not refreshed as it is in the 1 view.I am not manipulating the master table but it was being set to the first row the second time .Added to that the 2 view doesn't have parent table .
    </p>
    Thanks,

    Hi Frank,
    I am using jdev 11.1.1.6 and integrated wls.
    I have a single taskflow.I have a 4 level master detail.The vo's are connected through a view link . I have dropped the first level as a table . On selecting a row the corresponding children are displayed.The children are displayed as a tree. I have a tree context menu where i have inserted a row using popup . When the user clicks on the ok dialog i am commiting the data and refreshing the tree.
    Now the problem is when i first create the row it's working properly . After when i try to create another row this time the currency of the first level is reset to the first row.
    As suggested by you i have tried disabling the commit opertion . But the issue still occurs.
    Thanks,
    Raj

  • Select parent row where child table does not contain a value

    I have 2 tables Account and Transaction.
    I want to find all accounts where there is not a transaction of a particular type.
    eg find all accounts which do not have a transaction with a code of 20.
    Help please.

    Thanks for your help but I've got it sorted now.
    The answer was

  • Input Text in a row of a table is not getting focused after PPR

    Hi All,
    I have a use case where the form will have a table and one of the columns will have inputtext and the other column will have outputtext. Once the user enters some data in inputtext and presses the down arrow, i am using autosubmit and valuechangelistener to call some method in bb which will show popup in the page. And after selecting some value from popup, i close the popup by setting the first row's outputtext with some data and wants to make the cursor focus to the next row's inputtext.
    Its working without PPR, but when we use PPR to set the outputtext component, its failing the focus is getting lost. Any ideas would be helpful.

    I have OSX server (7 years old) using as a file server getting connected by many Windows clients. • Strange behavior with Report Generation Toolkit. Table does not match array.

    We are using a Word 2003 document (.doc) as a template for a report summary.  This works fine on the development PC.  It fills out the appropriate fields in the document and fills out the table correctly, as shown in the image below.
    However, the same cannot be said on another station.  Although the 2D array is identical, and so is the software to investigate the issue, the table does not get populated correctly.  I have investigated using Word 2010 (.docx) as a template, with the same results.
    I have not been able to figure out what is different between the 2 stations and why it does not work on the 2nd station.  I looked for similar issues on the NI website and the only relevant item from Knowledgebase was concerning new lines within the cell, which is not my case.
    This is what I get on the 2nd machine:
    The array that is sent to the table contains the appropriate data&colon;

  • JTable Problem (table does not show rows and columns)

    Hi All,
    What the table is suppose to do.
    - Load information from a database
    - put all the values in the first column
    - in the second column put combobox (cell editor with numbers 1-12)
    - the 3rd column put another combobox for something else
    - the 4th column uses checkbox as an edit
    The number of rows of the table should be equal to the number of
    record from
    the database. If not given it default to 20 (poor but ok for this)
    The number of columns is 4.
    But the table does not show any rows or
    column when I put it inside a
    JScrollPane (Otherwise it works).

    I hope you don't expect us to read hundreds of lines of unformatted code? Use the "formatting tags" when you post.
    Why are you creating your own TableModel? It looks to me like the DefaultTableModel will store you data. Learn how to use JTable with its DefaultTableModel first. Then if you determine that DefaultTableModel doesn't provide the required functionality you can write your own model.

  • Using Numbers 3.2, one of my tables does not allow me to add rows.

    This table does not have the "=" or "_|" symbol at the bottom, allowing me to add rows. The menu bar under Table>Add Row Above and Table>Add Row Below are both grayed out.  What can I do to add rows?

    Hi Patrick,
    On way to experience this is if you have a filter running and some of your rows are hidden. If the is the case, just unclick the filter.

  • Display and edit currently selected row of ADF Table in ADF Form

    I have an ADF Read-only Table and ADF Form, which were created from the same Data Control.
    I need to be able to edit the selected row of the table in the form (just like in "Binding Data Controls to your JSF page" part of "Developing RIA Web Applications with Oracle ADF" Tutorial). However, I can't figure out how to do this :(
    I found the following solution on the Web: #{bindings.DeptView1.currentRow.dataProvider.dname} - but it doesn't work, since "the class oracle.jbo.server.ViewRowImpl does not have the property dataProvider".
    Sorry for the newbie question.
    Thanks in advance for any help!

    Hi,
    AFAIK, dataProvider is not supported on ADF BC, hence the error.
    If you have created ADF Read only table and form from the same data control you just need to refresh the form based on table selection to show up the selected record, to do which you just need to add partialTriggers property to the panelFormLayout and set its value to the id of table

  • How to set focus on a input field in a selected row of a table?

    In a previous discussion (http://scn.sap.com/thread/3564789) I asked how to access an input (sap.m.Input) field of a selected row in a table. In the answer that was supplied I was shown how to get the items of the table. Then using the selected index to get the selected item get the cells. Then I could set editable on the proper cell(s). This worked fine.
    Now I need to set the focus on one of the fields. I tried something like this:
                var oNewLink = table.getSelectedItem();
                var oNewLinkName = oNewLink.getCells()[1];
                oNewLinkName.focus();
    But this doesn't seem to work.
    I have searched through other discussions and have seen this technique for putting focus on a field if you have its ID:
    sap.ui.getCore().byId(id_of_the_input_field).$().focus();
    In my case though I do not have an ID since the row and its cells are generated. How can I set focus on the cell of a certain row in a table?

    Hello Venkatesh. Yes that code does work. First I tried it on a table cell that was already rendered and it did work. The next time I tried it on a table row that was being added and it did not work there. So I added an on after rendering function for the table and added that code there. That did not work until I added a delay (timeout) to do a context switch before calling the focus and that worked.
    Once last thing though sometimes when I call focus on an input field (actually in a table row cell) if the field has text in it already the flashing cursor is at the beginning of the text and other times it is at the end of the text (which is the desired way). It depends on where I click in the row. Is there anyway to make sure the flashing cursor is at the end of the text when the focus is applied to a field that contains text?

  • IRecruitment - custom page based on selected row in advanced table

    HI,
    We are implementing an addition to iRec. From the vacancy search page I have added an extra image column called worklog to the advanced table. Within the attributes I have set the view instance and and view attribute to
    View Attribute VacancyId
    View Instance IrcVacancyVO
    However this value does not get passed across. I have even called the image ID VacancyId in the hope that this value pair would be posted to the custom app I have written.
    I know this is a pretty low tech question on here, but does anyone know how I can pass the id of the selected row acroos to my custom page?
    TIA,
    Simon

    Hi Simon,
    In OATables we can not get the handle of current row.
    The alternate solution is to call an AM method, execute the method and get the value from the VO row. Return it back to CO and then you can call your new page from the Search page in iREC.
    it should work. Let me know if you are facing any problem.
    Thanks
    Anoop
