A Workshop made Web Application can run on WebLogic Express?

We are evaluating the option to develop a web application and deploy it over around 500 sales offices in the country. Since the large number of installations we are considering use WebLogic express to handle the administration issues through managing the web servers at the offices from a set of few WebLogic domains.
The evaluation also includes the ability to develop the web application with WebLogic Workshop, since there is no WebLogic express evaluation download we are using the full WebLogic Server download.
When a workshop domain configuration is made from the configuration wizard, a JMS Queue called cgQueue and a MDB called queueTransportEJB are by default deployed. Since we want to use WebLogic express we donâ€™t have the ability to deploy neither EJBs nor JMS Queues.
We manually remove these elements (the queue and the EJB) from the domain configuration but when we deploy an application that uses Workshop controls (for example a database control) the IDE automatically deploys what I supose are auto-generated EJBs for example MyProyect.GenericStateless.bean.GenericContainer
The question is: It is possible to develop a Web application in Workshop that does not use EJBs or JMS so we can deploy it on WebLogic Express?
If this is not possible: what IDE do you recommend to quickly build a Web Application suitable to deploy in WebLogic Express? Suppose the fact that a hand-coding struts application is not acceptable.
Is there are a solution that can compete with these assumptions with .NET? Each office has a Windows server so we can develop our application on that technology.
Also consider the required budget to do so.

Allen,
You are correct. Unfortunately you cannot use the EAR generated from
Workshop on WebLogic Express. There is also no way to generate an EAR file
without these Workshop controls/EJBs.
You need to use the Bea Page Flow Portability Toolkit, available as a free
download from Bea. This will allow to generate a Tomcat and/or J2EE based
WAR file from your application.

Hello, Can someone help me with Adobe Flash Player installation ?
I have tried too many things to install it but keep getting this message " only a single instance of this application can run.
I can't see any Adobe applications, I've tried deleting all files adobe and still nothing.
I have opened the task manager and try to end the processes related to Adobe manually by selecting 'End Process' and then try to install it, but nothing happened.
I've tried 'clean boot' but neither worked.I downloaded the 'Adobe unistaller' from the official page and the 'latest version of flash player' but it doesn't work!.
I've also went on the Adobe website and it said this error message was due to the flash application but I deleted all of those files to and still nothing.
I've got firefox and windows 7.

If you haven't done so already, reboot your computer, then re-run the installer you downloaded.

I deleted Flash Player when trying to solve a Shockwave Flash Google Chrome issue, and after being unable to solve it I switched to Firefox. I now can't get the installer to open. I double-click on it, it asks me if I want to run it. I click Yes, then the window closes and the installer doesn't open. When I try running the installer again, I get the error message "Only a single instance of this application can run". I have tried everything. I closed Firefox, restarted my computer, and ran the Flash Player uninstaller. I am running Windows 8.1 64-bit with Mozilla Firefox and I am trying to run the latest version of Flash Players as of October 26 2014. Please help!

Unable to install Flash Player as "only a single version of this application can run"

I was having problems with Flash Player earlier today and decided to uninstall it (from Windows 7) and reinstall from scratch. I uninstalled it and tried reinstalling it but now I get the following message: Unable to install Flash Player as "only a single version of this application can run" I tried uninstalling I checked to see if there was still a programme to install but there is not. I checked my files in Windows and there are several files called Install_Flashplayer _16x32 .............. files. I presume they were created each time I attempted to install Flash Player. I thought of deleting the numerous Install FlashPlayer files but decided to seek help before taking this step.

I have somehow managed to install Flash Player and it works. I deleted all the install files except one which did not want to be deleted, Then I started to install Flash Player until I got the message about conflicting applications. I then used Ctrl+Alt+Delete to open Task Manager, then closed all tasks except the Flash Player one. Flash Player finished installing. I then opened a TV Player in Firefox and was able to play a programme that required a Flash Player.
Why do I have to use Task Manager to close applications. I can't remember the last time I used it ut think it was about a year ago when my computer would not shut down.

Reinstalling - "Only a single instance of this application can run"

I had to uninstall Adobe Reader some months back and ever since have been unable to reinstall. I get through the first couple download steps, and click yes to "allow the following program to make changes to this computer", but then it all closes down and sometimes I get the "Only a single instance of this application can run" box pop up. I googled that error message and have spent hours trying every tip on how to resolve it on various message boards but nothing works and I really need to be able to open pdfs again. Thanks for any help you can provide.

If you are in Windows (which we don't know), you can try using this tool to first remove all traces of Reader from your computer:

Then, you can download the full offline Reader installer from
http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/
After downloading, restart your computer and run the installer before doing anything else.

Please excuse a newbie's ignorance - I've never posted to any forums before :-)
I am using Win7 Professional and IE9 on a well-spec'd HP PC (4GM Ram, dual core, lost of hard disk space etc).
I have successfully downloaded Adobe Reader (install_reader 10....exe @ 703kb) using Win7.
I cannot run this file (I have tried all I talk about here with Reader 9 and with Firefox; all the same errors noted below get repeated)
The error message is headed: "UI_ReaderInstaller" and the text in the message is "Only a single instance of thsi application can run"
The only option given is an "OK" button and leaves one having achieved nothing!
I have never had a previous version of Adobe reader on this PC; this is a first time install attempt.
If I search my PC for "UI_ReaderInstaller" it does not give any results!
Please might someone more competent that I help me out here? Maybe you've experienced this and found the solution? Please might you share your knowledge with me?

That is, start Adobe Reader.
Chose Preferences from the Edit menu
Look at the left hand side for Security (Advanced) and click on it
Now look for the option to turn off Protected Mode.

What error, if any, is being displayed when you attempt to install Flash Player?
Please post the contents of the /Users/<YourUserID>/Library/Logs/FlashPlayerInstallManager.log for the install attempts that are failing. These will be listed at the end of the file. Each attempt begins and ends with --- log start --- and --- log end ---.

Ask: 1 in Windows to write CVI applications can run in Linux? And Linux must have the LabWindows/CVI 2010 Linux Run-Time module??

There is some sort of support for running applications on Linunx, even though you cannot directly run the IDE on it.
Shortly, you will need to develop on Windows and then compile and run on Linux system. I don't know how easy is all this process as I only develop for Windows systems.

The Linux Run-Time Engine is a module to be purchased separately.

Need help in creating a web application that runs on a stand alone sys.

I am planning a small java web application complete with database. I need to know if there are any ways to deploy that application on a stand alone system and that if there is any way to make an executable for that application so that the user need not go through the process of deploying the app and starting the server whenever he restarts the system. Since I had a Gmail test servlet kicking around, I ran it on the latest V3 nightly build.
On the first run, I encountered the following nested exceptions:
javax.mail.MessagingException: Could not connect to SMTP host: smtp.gmail.com, port: 465
--> java.net.SocketException: java.security.NoSuchAlgorithmException: Error constructing implementation (algorithm: Default, provider: SunJSSE, class: com.sun.net.ssl.internal.ssl.DefaultSSLContextImpl)

I worked around this by adding the following JVM config options to domain.xml
<jvm-options>-Djavax.net.ssl.keyStorePassword=changeit</jvm-options>
<jvm-options>-Djavax.net.ssl.trustStorePassword=changeit</jvm-options> (Note: the default master password is "changeit")
These lines are placed in /domain/configs/config/java-config of domain.xml for the particular server config you're using. There's only one server config in the default domain.xml shipped with V3. Then restart the server.
I retested the code on both port 465 and 587, with and without the above config changes. Without the change, they both fail the same way, and with the change, they both work. Let me know if this helps.

Error when sending email from a web application that runs on GlassFish

Hello all, I hope some can give me some hints on how to fix this problem.
I have a web application built in Java that runs on GlassFish v3.
The application uses a mail plugin that makes use of mail.jar
Whenever I try to use the plugin to send an email out I get an error.
The application is programmed to send emails from a gmail account, and I believe there is a problem with the SSL version that Googlemail is expecting.
By the way, everything works fine if I run the web app on other servers like Jetty or Apache.

Is it any way to check, if a web application is already running on clients computer. In other words how to prevent users to opens second instance of the same running application??

Not sure what you mean.
The application (scope) only runs once. A user cannot force another application scope to open up, ColdFusion controls this. If no request is made within the timespan set for the application timeout, then the next request fires off the onApplicationStar() BIF automatically before the request BIFs are executed.
If you mean that you don't want them to have more than 1 browser open to the same website, I'm not sure that's going to cause any issues; as what was said before, the web is stateless. ie:
If I open Chrome, and in Tab 1 I goto home.cfm and in Tab 2 I goto home.cfm the to ColdFusion, it basically sees 2 requests to home.cfm made from (in essence) the same person (even though it doesn't know that until you implement some form of user tracking).
But even if a person logs into a website, the session data is shared for the browser or session (depending in how your sessions are setup) So even if he logs in on Tab 1, the next time he goes anywhere in Tab 2, it'll be when he's logged in. The 2 tabs share the same session data.

Web application can not find apphome /WEB-INF/lib/*.jar files in classpath?

I need to add the jsse jars to one of my servlets. I do not want the jsse in the server classpath(jvm12.conf) however, because this screws with some credit card jar I am using. Can't I have a per application classpath with the /WEB-INF/lib directory? This is iWS 6.0.

In iWS 6.0, the context information such as a context path of the web application and other properties are defined in web-apps.xml file.
'class-loader' element in web-apps.xml file can be be used to specify the class path to a web application and customize how the application is serviced.
