ABAP for CRM

Hi,
I like to know about CRM ABAP. I know, it's a language and there is nothing like CRM ABAP. More specifically, I like to know the way and the rules for writing a program in ABAP for CRM. It will be very helpful if any one can provide some  documents on it.
Thanks,
Kuntal

  • Best Practices in use of ABAP for SRM and/or CRM Configuration

I was wondering if there is a document that defines best practices for the use of ABAP with the installation and customization of SRM and/or CRM. Such as amount of ABAP coding typically required, and best practices around the use of ABAP for customization and configuration.
    Thanks.

    Hi, Johnson
Sorry, Please don't mind, you are not at right place to ask the Question like this
Please read "The Forum Rules of Engagement" before posting!  HOT NEWS!!

  • For R/3 to CRM Scenario ,creating ABAP Proxy for CRM which is in Target

In R/3 to CRM scenario it is ok creating ABAP Proxy for CRM which is Target system.if it is possible it is Client Proxy.it is correct or not

    Hi,
Client Proxy. When you need to create Proxy for your Sender system then the proxy is generated on the client side and the Class created in Proxy generation is called in a report/FM etc.
Server proxy. The server proxy is created when you are sending the data from SAP XI to the receiving system.
The generation of proxy in both the cases happens on the sender or the receiver system.

  • Having multiple J2EE stacks connected to one CRM ABAP instance for CRM IPC

    Hello Experts,
The situation we were looking at is this.
We have 3 distinct teams doing Java development for CRM IPC configurators
    Team A - IPC/Ecommerce
    Team B - UI
    Team C - Order Wrapper
They each wanted to do development in their own landscape (Java Stack)
Additionally, two more landscapes are needed:
a landscape for end 2 end testing of the configuration scenarios
    another for a Performance Assessment
To get 5 full dual stack CRM instances was deemed unlikely.
Trying to explore if multiple J2EE's, can be connected to one CRM ABAP system.
It seems we can not, as the CRM ABAP to JEE comminucation is via RFC and there is excatly one RFC_Destination defined per CRM (across all clients). Is this correct?
    Thanks
    Rocky

May be you can wordsmith your requirement to make it clear what each team is doing. Also, please mention what version of CRM / IPC you are talking about.
From what you have said, I guess IPC/E-Commerce is E-Commerce enhancement. If NWDI is in the picture, you have one track for this enhancement.
The UI - I assume is IPC UI. This is also a Java based web application that shares the same Java stack with the E-Commerce application.
What is Order Wrapper? - If it a custom web application you guys are into, I still don't see why they can't use the same Java "stack".
In the development lifecycle, it is sufficient to have only one IPC environment for each phase. The development team needs only one, unless they have a valid reason to have their own Java stack. I bet they need only one.
If the developers are asking about "Sandbox", they can have their own NetWeaver Developer Workplace in their laptop / desktop.

  • ABAP & Workflow for CRM

    Hello  Buddies,
I have seen so mail threads somewhat near to my doubt but could you please tell me some good link for learning ABAP & Workflow for CRM. Also please advise me, being ABAP-Workflow Consultant which section of CRM is best suitable for me.
Thanks in advance. Your guidance is appreciated.
    Warm Regards,
    N. Singh

    Hi,
ABAP    and Workflow for CRM is nothing different and specific to CRM. They are same and at least all the basic concepts are present. There might be some implementation and conceptual differences but they are more of functionality driven.
You start learning SAP CRM Fucntionality which will help you to understand SAP CRM much better. And then you can have a feel of the CRM feature and where and how it's been used to drive the ABAP and Workflow functionality.
Hope this helps. You can scan the forum for good links and resources.
    Best Regards,
    Samantak

  • Are user exits in Pricing for CRM 7.0 implementable in ABAP?

    Hi all,
I'm new in CRM. I'm  interested in creating some user exits for pricing in CRM 7.0. I know it can be done in Java but I was wandering, since now the web AS is implemented in ABAP, if I could drop Java and use solely ABAP for user exits in pricing.
    Thanks

Hi all, I am new to CRM....Can I not create a user-exit condition type in CRM using VOFM ? The reason is that we are comfortable in ABAP but not in Java. Kindly reply with your experience. Thanks

  • Best Practise for CRM

    Hi,
I have installed BP for CRM and doing config for SAP CRM Standalone Integration.
I have selected all scenarios in the scope including interactive reporting.
Our main focus is interactive reporting which needs another client in same CRM system.
I have two clients - 300 for CRM and 200 for Reporting.
The Quick guide tells as follows
Be aware that you need to define a System Data Container even if you implement
a CRM Standalone solution (containing an entry for target system CRM and, if
necessary, a CRM Reporting client REP).
"In the generic personalization" step I have option to define only one System Data Container - Z_ALL_H001_J01_<xxx>
Which System Data Container I should give- corresponding to CRM client or reporting client?
    Thanks & Regards
    Ashraf

    on point 1 :
java can be on same stack as abap. actually on any project I worked, java was on same server as abap.
It realy does not matter where the java is installed. (the connection to abap goes trough "jco" which can point to  abap stack of your choice)
I'm not sure it should be an SAP JAVA server, there are some special settings like "trex" in java server administration(visual admin tool), it is used to find your isa catalog in trex system.
there's supose to be an xcm setting to avoid this trexsetting  but it has never worked for me
I dont think you can just install isa on other java servers because of this.
Then again.. i'm not a system admin. they might give more info on this subject to force an trex setting in a non sap java server.
    hope this helpes a bit.
    regards

  • ABAP to CRM

    Hi  all,
    Am an ABAPer.
Please tell me  what exact ABAP(BADi,BAPI,Smart form,Idoc,Transaction,Reports,Dynpro etc) required for CRM technical.
Also with dominant presence of SIBEL is it correct to move into SAP CRM
    Thanks.

    Hi Sanjiv,
There are obviously numerous things to start listing them. more than the smartforms or reports, it would be userexits, BADIs, BAPIs, methods that would be required from an ABAPer in setting up business processes. For instance, he/she may have to set up a Workflow for Stock Transport Order and Delivery process based on release Strategy, change some screen layouts or may have to load (migrate) Business partners, Contact persons, Prospects from legacy to CRM system.
ABAPer would be more a facilitator with CRM.
CRM has very good market. Every product has its own demand and so the call is urs to make and more importantly to be committed to ur choice to make it work. All the best.
    Regards,
    Amar

  • Groupware Integration(Server synchronization)  for CRM 7.0

    Hi CRM Experts,
Iam trying to get into Groupware Integration for CRM 7.0 however all the documentation i can found on the maketplace are for older CRM versiones like crm 4.0 or 5.0?
maybe there wasnt any significant changes in that peticular function so the older documentation still works?
still if that the case do i download and install  the mapbox,  goupware connector and groupware connector proxy for the crm 5.0(since there none for crm 7.0) ?
iam a little lost here place advice
    with kind regards
    Kalle Eismann
Edited by: Kalle Eismann on Aug 31, 2010 12:12 PM

    Hi Kalle,
You can use the same documentation for crm 5.0 and 4.0. You need to install the groupware connector and run trx. MIGRATE to use ABAP MAPBOX. Try to install the gw connector in a windows 2003 server as SAP asked me once. If you need any help let me know.

  • Market for CRM

    HI People ,
I just want to know the market for CRM in India and US . I have a business degree and more inclined towards the functional stuff. I have 2 yrs experience being a ABAPer and very much interested in moving to the functional side . Is CRM really good and some people were saying its full of bugs , the software has not been designed well ? Is this is a fact and if so wont it be a problem for CRM technical consultants ? How is it for CRM functional consultants? I am planning to do certification also ? will It help? i know i have asked many questions , but i think i need a break very badly....
    Please, awaiting your valuable replies......
    Thank you .

    Hi Celine,
more than two years ago i did the step from SCM to CRM.
At that time it was CRM5.0 which was a bit strange because it had 4 different user interfaces (SAP GUI, people centric UI, java interfaces and also IC webclient).
Today we are on CRM7.0 and it is better with the CRM webclient UI now. For me it was to right step to start with CRM. I do both technical and functional site. I guess in CRM most of the functional consultants do abap developments as well.
I wish you the best. Kind regards.
    Manfred

  • MRS - CRM Integration:  Resource Planning Node for CRM demands

    Hi all,
We have a multi backend scenario where MRS 800 add-ons (ECC and NW add-on) have been installed in ECC. Demands can come from the ECC PM/CS orders or from the CRM system as Service orders.
For PM/CS orders, from the work center of the activity or operation, the system determines the planning node and assigns the demand to that planning node. But we need help in identifying the Evaluation Path for determining the Resource Planning Node for demands coming from CRM. Currently we have to manually select the CRM Service Order to be able to view the demands in the MRS planning board.
The service organization structure has been created manually in CRM and is not available in ECC system. We are unable to identify which organization structure can be used as resource planning structure (in the Planning board which is in ECC) for CRM service orders.
Please provide your inputs on these two issues in the MRS-CRM scenario:
    1. What is the evaluation path for determining the Resource Planning Node for demands coming from CRM system?
    2. Which organization structure can be used as resource planning structure (in the Planning board which is in ECC) for CRM service orders?
I would appreciate any help in this regard.
    Thank you!
    Kajal
