ABAP HTTP cache refresh

Hi-
What role is required for an Integration Server (ABAP) HTTP cache refresh?
This is accessible if you go to XI Administration -> Cache Overview and click on Full Cache Refresh for INTEGRATIONSERVER_. It calls this URL.
http://hostname:8000/sap/xi/cache?sap-client=800&mode=F
XISUPER has all SAP_XI* roles. I get a "403 Forbidden" unless I include SAP_ALL.

We are running XI 3.0, SP 9
XI cache refresh stopped working today (red traffic light). Tried a Delta refresh. Got a program dump with error 'Access with ZERO object reference not possible'.
Activated all objects in Change lists of Repository, directory. Tried Delta refresh again. Same error again.
Re-started XI server.Now XI cache has error
'Unable to refresh cache contents'.
Detail says 'HTTP status code503 Service Unavailable'.
Tested RFC connection of INTEGRATION_DIRECTORY_HMI and other XI related destinations. Everything works fine.
Please let me know if anyone faced this before and what is the solution..

Ok, well this note i am note able to handle because of missing poissibity to use the Visual Admin.
Another thing that came up: i still have probs with queues! Sometimes (today, and only today) a message runs through XI, so everything is fine.
Because of this i tried to deregister and register the queues once again - but the scheduler status is still on "inactive"....
what is the prob?!

Error in INTEGRATION_DIRECTORY_HMI and CACHE REFRESH

Hi guys, well after checking the forum and several blogs i can't get rid of my problem!
I have a problem concerning INTEGRATION_DIRECTORY_HMI and CACHE REFRESH.
i wanted to get a file from a FTP-Server via CC and i got error:

Because of this i tried to update my cache (SXI_CACHE). When i do a Delta Cache Refresh i get:
Prefix Number: entry missing for system SSID client 100.
When i do a complete Cache Refresh nothing happens at all. I also checked the cache notification in IB - Integration Directory where i fin dout that only the Integration Server (ABAP Cache) won't refresh. Well status is started but nothing else is happening.
Then i checked the RFC INTEGRATION_DIRECTORY_HMI, did a connection test where i get an Internal Server error.
Let me tell u that the systems runs very well in the last days but now i have no clue what might be wrong.
Can somebody please advice me? I already read all blogs concerning this and also did a complete system-restart....

when you check INTEGRATION_DIRECTORY_HMI with SM59 it is normal to get
HTTP Response 500 - Internal Server Error. In this case it meens everything OK
see the rediness check, that is attached to SAP note 817920
when you start the complete cache refresh, you can see
the function module SAI_CACHE3_REFRESH_BACKGROUND in SM58. As long as you can see this entry, the cache
refresh is ongoing. If the refresh takes too long and runs on an error, try to specify another timeout in INTEGRATION_DIRECTORY_HMI or in the ICM

CPA cache refresh error

Hi All,
While doing CPA cache refresh by
http://<host>:<port>/CPACache/refresh?mode=full
the following message is dislayed
403 Forbidden SAP J2EE Engine/7.00
You are not authorized to view the requested resource.
What is the authorization needed for doing CPA cache refresh..?
If i tried with Admin user also, same error message is coming.
Suggest some solution in detail.

Even I faced this problem recently that uanbelt o login into CPA Cache refresh URL and getting access forbidden.
First check whether respective roles are assigned or not.

According to my inf another thing this CPA cache refresh is using in Old Service packs but for recent SP20and SP22 you can do whether from Integration Builder page --> ADmnistration tab then do CPA Cache refresh and also do go to SXI_CAche in SAP logon pad and do Adapter cache refresh okay

Cache Refresh Problem

We updated XI 3.0 to SP4, and started seeing several problems related to Cache Refresh and JCo.
In the SAPGUI in transaction SXI_CACHE, we are unable to refresh the cache, and getting the following error:
Connection to system RUNTIME using application RUNTIME lost. Detailed information: Error accessing "http://NETWEAVER:50000/run/hmi_service_id_fresh_mappings/int?container=any" with user "XIDIRUSER". Response code is 503, response message is "Service Unavailable".
In SM59 for RFC HTTP destinations, the INTEGRATION_DIRECTORY_HMI test gives the HTTP/1.1 500 Internal Server Error. The URL is /dir/CacheRefresh.
On the Runtime Workbench, I am trying to run the self-test for Mapping Runtime. We get the following errors:
Ping Status: HTTP request failed. Error code: "503". Error message: "Service Unavailable"
Self-test status: HTTP request failed. Error code: "503". Error message: "Service Unavailable"
We are on XI3.0 SP4, J2EE SP7 and ABAP SP4.
What can I check on the J2EE server to see if the service is running ? And what can I do to fix the JCo connections ? Thanks,

However, I still have the Cache updation problem.
When I update an object (say, a mapping) in the Integration Builder, and activate it, the XI Server Cache should get updated with this new object.
On running the scenario, I am getting the following error as observed in the monitor (SXMB_MONI):

Is there a way to automatically enable this user to enable the cache refresh in the background ?

Cache Refresh Problems:J2EE

I am facing a problem in cache refresh.
The XI 3.0 server is at SP10. Now whenever i am doing any changes in directory and activating it,it doesnt give me any error. but when i am cheking the Cache notifiactions it shows me a "GREEN" light for ABAP Cache and a "RED"(not yet started) light for Central Adapter Engine Cache.
Thus, in sxi_cache also i see a green light telling me that cache contents are upto date.
I tried doing a manual CPACache refresh by using
http://<host>:<port>/CAPCache/refresh?mode=full|delta , but it doesnt get completed.
Due to this my scenarios are not working currently and whatever changes i am making is not getting reflected.
Has anyone faced this...?
How can I solve this?????

Hi Sunita,
The following are required for a successful CPA-Cache refresh:
1.Correct maintenance of the users in the ExchangeProfile (Adapter Engine Service User and Integration Directory Service User)
2.Successful SLD self-registration of the URLs
3.Availability of SLD
Check the "Problems" tab of the cache notifications overview in the directory. If there is a problem with an incorrect communication then it will be shown in this tab.
Let me know what the "Problems" tab says.

Cache refresh error, while activating changelists

Hi all,
I got a problem, concerning XI Runtime Cache on XI 3.0, SP15 -> when I try to activate changelists from Integration Directory, (SOMETIMES!)XI_CACHE shows status: Error, while refreshing cache
with Errortype: Communication,
"if_http_client receive http_communication_failure"
When I then do a delta or full cache refresh from transaction SXI_CACHE it allways works, even after an error occured before. Some ideas, what I could check?

Cache Refresh for Adapter Engine is not working

Hi,
our adaper engine is not working. At RTW no there are no channels visible and the button "Test Cache Connectivity" leads to a yellow icon for the adapter engine with the error text: "Attempt to fetch cache data from Integration Directory not yet started or still in process".
The error reason is at http://<j2ee host>:<port>/CPACache/history.jsp available: com.sap.aii.af.service.cpa.impl.exception.CPADirectoryCacheException: Couldn't open Directory URL (http://pixd1.digoff.no:55200/dir/hmi_cache_refresh_service/ext?method=CacheRefresh&mode=C&consumer=af.xd1.dat-dof-xi), due to: HTTP 403: Forbidden
The cache refreh request from adapter engine to directory gets an 403 error. What is strange: No problem, to execute that request in a browser, i get the right message, no fault.
I searched for notes or other threads, i could find only <a href="https://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/oss_notes/sdn_oss_bc_xi/~form/handler%7b5f4150503d3030323030363832353030303030303031393732265f4556454e543d444953504c4159265f4e4e554d3d373531383536%7d">SAP note 751856</a> , but it is valid for XI 3.0; we are on PI 7.0.
I checked out:
- no user blocked
- all system users have standard authorisations
- reimport of SAP BASIS SWC
- SICF services for XI active
- destination INTEGRATION_DIRECTORY_HMI working
Any idea, how i can get the adapter engine working?

Hi,
There are two ways to display the content of the CPA cache refresh.
1. The Cache-Update Content-XML
Document can be stored in the Adapter Framework database (J2EE schema) for further analysis. Here you have to set the property in the J2EE Visual Administrator tool.
To do so, proceed as follows:
=>J2EE-service SAP XI AF CPA Cache
=> set property trackCacheUpdateXML= true
=> You can now display the cache update XML with the alias CPACache
=> View Cache Update History
=> View Cache Update XML
2. The content of the cache refresh from the Integration Directory intothe CPA cache can be written to an XML file: Here you have to set the property inthe J2EE Visual Administrator tool:
=>J2EE-service SAP XI AF CPA Cache
=> set property J2EE service SAP XI AF CPA Cache cacheUpdateDebugFile = true
=> the CPA cache refresh XML file will be in the server(0) directory search for the following file names:
=> value of the property cacheUpdateDebugFile.deltaif you intend to see the delta refresh accordingly and the value of the property cacheUpdateDebugFile.full if
you intend to see the full cache refresh content
Note: After your analysis, do not forget to reset the properties value to false.
You can delete the XML cache-
refresh table: alias CPACache
=> View Cache Update History
=> Delete History

we are getting the following error when we did the Cache Refresh after completing the installation and configuration of 2004s PI usgae type.

Error data from ID:Unable to determine the name of the central Adapter Engine from the System Landscape Directory at this time.
Notifications to the central Adapter Engine are therefore listed using the technical name of the Adapter Engine.
This is usually structured as follows:
af.<SAP System ID>.<Name of application server>
Error info in SXI_CACHE:
HTTP Status code 401 unauthorized.

Xi Data Cache Refresh Problem

Hello,
We have following Problem:
We send an XML-Request with HTTP-Adapter to XI and get Data from R/3, works fine.
But when we send a Second Request we become an Error.
The error comes because in the Java Runtime the XI writes wrong values into Message.
When we do a XI Data Cache Refresh for INTEGRATION_SERVER
and INTEGRATION_RUNTIME we can send a message and all works fine again.´
Any Idea why the XI Caches Data from Request and set this values in the message of request that was send later?

J2EE RFC Metadata cache refresh

Hi All,
I've searched a bit on this forum but can't quite find the answer I'm looking for...
Is it possible to perform a cache refresh without having to restart the server, after making changes to an RFC model and deploying it? It's a pain in the neck to have to keep restarting DEV, QA and PROD everytime we move something through the CMS that has changes to models.
I would have thought the assembly step from consolidation to production would have solved this problem but it doesn't.

Hi Arun,
I understand what is happening and how it works and why... I was simply asking if there is a way to refresh the J2EE cache without restarting the server?
I think this is something we really need included in future SP's as it is a pain. As mentioned, I would have throught the assembly/import step in the NWDI CMS would have done something to refresh the cache when an SC is imported into the Production system.

PI 7.1 Java Cache Refresh error

When performing Data Cache Refresh from Data Cache Overview on Java stack, I am getting login prompt for client 000, the Integration Server client is 100. We have maintained the new client as per SAP recommendations, not sure why the Data Cache Overview would prompt for client 000 and would not validate any user at all. There are no locks or discrepancies. Please advice.

Adapter Cache refresh doen't work with XI3.0

Hi,
We are running XI 3.0 / Oracle 9.2 on Linux SUSE SLES8
and we have a problem with the Cache refresh of the adapters.
Somehow the status of the cache remains 'Red', without an error message.
Anyone any ideas?

Yes we logged into that and it shows error there (RED) and it doesn't get refershed there too. The XML error message shows the following:
com.sap.aii.af.service.cpa.impl.exception.CPADirectoryCacheException: Couldn't open Directory URL (http://vd06cs01.sce.com:50000/dir/hmi_cache_refresh_service/ext?method=CacheRefresh&mode=C&consumer=af.d06.vd06cs01), due to: HTTP 503: Service Unavailable
Please advice, it's a very high priority issue.

Not getting response in soap ui after cache refresh

Hi Experts,
 I have a scenario SOAP- PI-RFC Synchronous scenario. when we are trying to send message in SOAP UI nothing is coming to PI and its showing blank in soap UI . Before doing cache refresh all interfaces were working fine in QA but after that it s not working.
I have check login credentials and url are fine.
please help me on this?

Not able to do CPA cache refresh

Hi,
I am trying to do the CPA cache refresh through the URL: http://<hostname>:<port>/CPACache/refresh?mode=full. But I am not able to do it due to authorization problems. I tried with different users like: PIAPPLUSER, PIAFUSER, J2EE_ADMIN etc. I am getting an error saying: " You are not authorized to view the requested resource." Can anybody tell me what is the problem here?
