ABAP Program is not working when we integrate to portal

Hi,
We created an ABAP program and created a transaction for that program.
we integrated that porgram into portal and we are using SAP gui for HTML for displaying that in portal.
we have a field with f4 help on the program and when we click the f4 on that field it shows a blank screen with letter M.
But when we change the f4 help option to structure search insearch of search term it shows f4 values and program executes fine .But client doesnot want structured search on the field
How do we resolve this

You need to go back to basics and figure out why they are failing.
The simple answer is to implement exception handling and decide whether to bail out of the program or go into some kind of loop hoping the link will fix itself or be fixed. That simple answer can cause a lot of pain and suffering.
My preference in your situation would be to fix the underlying networking issue that causes the failures.
One additional thought ... your code, though likely incomplete, never commits. Make sure it does and make sure it doesn't do it inside of a loop.

ABAP program is not working

I am using ABAP stage in Datastge job and new requirement is only add a new column where the column length is 25.
Previously the program was below
   IF d_len < 16000.
      d_pack+d_offset(77) = it_1.
      d_offset = d_offset + 77.
      d_len = d_offset + 77.
but now after adding new column
change the program as
   IF d_len < 16000.
      d_pack+d_offset(102) = it_1.
      d_offset = d_offset + 102.
      d_len = d_offset + 102.
it's not working if I use below code then it works but getting data small amount with some data is shift from one colum to another.
   IF d_len < 16000.
      d_pack+d_offset(102) = it_1.
      d_offset = d_offset + 102.
      d_len = d_offset + 102.
      d_pack+d_offset(77) = it_1.
      d_offset = d_offset + 77.

Just a wild guess... is this code normally not something that is generated by some IBM solution..? Meaning - something not to be messed with..? Because:
"D_LEN – Is a variable used during generation of the ABAP program. The value is set automatically based on the total length of columns in the SQL query. If this value is less than 16000, the ABAP program will concatenate the record before making an RFC call. Validation not working when application is in portal

hi i have a stuation where my unique validation are working when i run application as standalone but when i put application in portal is working ,am adding my application in portal by creating ADF JAR and aadd the jar in my portal,am in jdeveloper 11.1.1.6.0

Href link not working when accessed through wireless portal (ptg/rm)

I have a simple J2EE application in which when clicking on a link, the request should forward to another jsp page. I am using Oracle 10g Application Server wireless. I am accessing the application in IE via oracle wireless portal gateway (ptg/rm).
The code is as follows (title.jsp page)

When the title.jsp page is accessed for the first time the URL is http://<server name>:<port no>/ptg/rm
When i click on the link it shows error page (Page cann't be found" but in the deployed EAR file the "hello.jsp" was included.
But when i click on the Link, the URL changes to
http://<server name>:<port no>/ptg/title.jsp?ch=
Here the rm of ptg/rm got misplaced.
but according to my experience it should be
http://<server name>:<port no>/ptg/rm with some postfix string.
can any one please tell me what could be the reason?
How can i forward the request to "hello.jsp" page?

Programm not working when scheduled via SE16

I created a job in SE16 for a custom ABAP programm exactaly the way we always do,
for one programm te job is finished after 1 second, when this programm is startend manualy it runs like it is supposed to run.

Screen variant not working when assigned to transaction variant in SHd0

Dear All,
User requires tax code column for line items in MIRO to be made non-editable. I am using SHD0 transaction for the same. I am able to make the column grey-off by creating screen variant. The program is SAPLMR1M and screen number 6310. When tested individually thru SHD0 the variant is working perfect. But it is not working when assigned to a transaction variant. Any clues on the same would be really helpful.

Hi,
Try to record again for the whole set of screens instead of doing that for the individual tax screen and only for the tax screen make the required field disable.
Once done and saved, you can see all the screens variants in the transaction variant.
Use the Change WITH PROCESSING OPTION.

PDF conversion with PDF2ID; Hypertext not working when exported back to pdf.

I have done a PDF conversion with PDF2ID, however Hypertext is not working when I exported it back to pdf. I am using the PDF2ID plug-in program to redo all the product booklets for our company as the hypertext did not work when downloaded to any smart phone. All that appeared were blank placeholders in each booklet index page.
According to the PDF2ID people the program plug-in recovers all URLs static and dynamic and bookmarks and local links and suggested I check with Adobe ID5 for help, but Adobe says my $1,000 ID5 is no longer supported and that I should go to the forums.....so here I am.
This is the first time I've even opened my ID5, so I'm a bit lost. Now I need to improve the quality of the PDFs, as we also need to convert all images to TIFF-CMYK in order to have the booklets printed & bound professionally. they tell me ID can do that.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Ugh...in some companies, that is training.
Don't take this the wrong way David, but of course ID can't do anything. PDF2ID conversions can be sketchy in the hands of the experienced. The same can be said of properly preparing matials for print. As Bob has already alluded, you're in an unfair position there. It's not uncommon for "management" types to just throw some sophisticated tools at a need and expect someone to make it work. In order to do what's being asked of you, you'll have to learn a fair bit about InDesign and production. It's too soon to ask about the output when you haven't learned to manage the input.

What kind of adjustments are you making? Where are you looking for the previews? If you're using select list of filters or color adjustments, have you enabled 'Preview' in the dialog box?

I had this problem on SL and on Lion as well, and it occures for WiFi and Ethernet connections.
In fact the internet connection was not broken as I could ping the destination usin the IP (not DNS name).
In this case the problem was related to mDNSResponder task which handles all dns queries.
It was the most frequent problem in my day to day work with SL and now Lion. It was never fixed by any patch from Apple. I tried almost all voodoo including fresh install, all possible config changes - no solution.
The only version with no problems related to network was 10.5.8. All the other versions had issues of different kind (WiFi instability (lost signal), DNS problems (for wireless and wired connection) sometimes associated with machine sleep and wake up and sometimes with no reason.
QUESTION: Is your problem independent of the access point / router you connect to.
I must say networking was (and still is) the weakest part, besides the other OS X weaknesses I experienced during 4 years of OS X usage.
No problems in the same network with Linux or Windows beeing ran natively on my iMac So hardware is OK.
Software is of poor quality. Not much more to say in this matter.
