Abort during hardware write leaves NI 9263 at current level

When an abort is performed on an AO NI 9263 the current level output is kept until the program is completely shut down and then restarted. Is there a way to trap the Abort and do azero level write to the hardware then abort?

No. This is why the abort button should only be used as a last resort.

  • Can we write leave program syntax in RFC function module.

    hello friends,
can we write leave program syntax in RFC function module. Iam developing RFC Function module .

Don't use leave program in RFC function module. You can better use EXIT or RETURN. But when developing RFC modules you should use the return structure BAPIRET2 to store message generated in the calling system. So when you use EXIT or RETURN, first give a message so the calling program knows why the RFC module was exited.

  • Problem during hardware installation.

Hi, I already have a 1st generation Ipod Nano which works fine. Just purchased a new 2nd generation Ipod Nano for my daughter and when connected to USB, get a message saying "A problem occurred during hardware installation. Your new hardware might not work properly". Had this problem before so returned the Ipod and Apple sent a new one out to me. Still the same problem. Does anyone know the answer?

"A problem occurred during hardware installation. Your new hardware might not work properly".
hmmmm. what model of Dell do you have, Wenditha? (thinking here that we should check to see if there are any relevant updates to your System available for your model at Dell.)

  • "Problem occured during hardware installation...

    new hardware may not work"
Its driving me MAD!! I have managed to load and use my iPod successfully on my other PC, but have had no joy with my new laptop.
I have installed iTunes, and updated to the most up to date version.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes several times, but each time when I connect the iPod to the laptop it the Installation Wizard flashes up for a split second and then comes up with the message "a problem has occured during hardware installation. Your new hardware may not work properly"
    Any ideas?

    hmmmmm.
perhaps let's try disabling the high speed interfaces on the laptop's USB connections. although the following document is on Toshibas, try the technique from it on your Dell:
iPod not recognized correctly on Toshiba laptop
(don't do a restore at this stage. we're just checking to see if we can get a connection with the high-speed interfaces disabled.)

But I didn't notice this "shutdown abort" when using 11.2.0.1.
The same happens if at the beginning I remain in sqlplus sesison and try to run "startup mount"
    Is this expected?
    Thanks in advance,
    Gianluca

If you use IMMEDIATE, an ABORT will be performed anyway as of 11.2.0.2 and you would see the following in the alert
Performing implicit shutdown abort due to switchover to physical standby
    Shutting down instance (abort)
    So the answer is Yes.
You can confirm this yourself by reviewing :

  • Keynote Aborts during presentation!

During a presentation last week, Keynote aborted! Not once, but twice. Talk about embarrassing!
I was using a Targus Bluetooth remote and sending the video out to a flatscreen TV using non-mirrored mode.
After the first abort, the Targus remote would not work, so I had to advance the slides from the keyboard. After the 2nd abort, the Targus remote worked again.
I had been through the entire slide show several times (no remote, and displayed only on my MBP screen) without incident. Only when I got in front of an audience did it embarrass me!
Any ideas about where to begin troubleshooting this? I cannot afford to have it happen again.

Be glad that it just aborted the presentation. On my white MacBook 1.83 (2006), Keynote would randomly REBOOT the computer! (http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=6971964#6971964)
Can you describe more specifically what is happening? Does Keynote crash, or just drop out of Play mode into Edit mode?

  • Shuting Down During Hardware Test

    Hi,
    I have a Macbook 1.83 Coreduo I purchased Last July (2006).
Whenever I run the hardware test it shuts down about 1 minute into the test.
I have had some problems with the computer and have had to have the logic board replace 3 times. I have all the latest software updates.
I installed two gigs of non-apple ram back in september.
Could any one shed any light on this Hardware test shut down problem?
    Thanks!
    Dan.

    Hi,
    Thanks for the response,
The shut down would happen during the memory test step, in both the regular and extended hardware tests.
As I have been having some issues with the Macbook, today I wiped the hard drive and re-installed the original software. I then reset the PRAM.
Afterwards I tried the regular and extended hardware test again.
It completed the regular hardware test, however I received the following error message.
4MOT/1/40000002 CenterLowerFront. (If anyone can enlighten me on what this means it would be appreciated)
It shut down again during the extend test in the memory test step.
I quickly purchased the extended apple care plan after the second logic board replacement.
I suppose I will have to take it in again to resolve these issues.
    Thanks again.
    Dan.

  • Fan Activity during hardware test

    hi everyone,
when i start the hardware-test, the fan of my mac is speeding up to maximum level. it happens when i hit the hardware-test button in the "start-up-disk window". is this okay?

    Dear klangapparat,
    Welcome to Apple Discussions.
The fan are running high during the Hardware test because the unit is in the firmware mode which is at a very basic level , kind of only assembly code runnig to let the unit do some task. However when you load the OS then the the OS has a code and a driver running for each and every hardware. There is a code which is responsiable for the speed of fans that code is missing during the test so the fans run at full speed. There is nothing controling the fans speed.
    Hope this information helps.
    Good Day!
    Ravi Dimri.

  • Frozen during hardware test

My macbookpro has frozen during the probe part of the hardware test (start using disk in drive, hold down "d"). It's been something like half an hour...
This is NOT during the test part. It's not even giving me those options yet (button greyed out).
    What do I do now?

Just hit the power key. It seems to have started ok.

  • Ports not working--mac freezes during hardware test

My immediate problem is my mac freezing during the hardware test. I know it can take some time for the test to be completed, but it was over an hour and it was frozen at "2 min 16 seconds," and the mouse and keyboard aren't recognized. Even during the short test.
I held the power button down and turned it off.
The bigger problem is non-functioning ports. First it was the firewire ports to my maxtor hard drive and then my lacie superdrive. And it's not the cord or the units. They work other places. That was approx. a month ago. I didn't worry too much and went back to the internal drive.
Then today my internet stopped working. The modem is not reading the computer and the computer is not reading the modem. The modem works fine with my laptop thank goodness (although it's a PC we bought for the kids to play computer games on and it's driving me crazy!). So the modem and cord are fine.
Then a couple of my USB ports were not happy today. One wouldn't read my daughter's ipod touch, but then later did (?).
And to go back to the very beginning, sometimes when I put the computer to sleep, it freezes on a black screen with a working mouse pointer, but nothing else and I have to force quit. If it goes to sleep on its own, it's fine.
Here's what I have done today: done the PRAM boot, some other command-option-O-F boot, tried the hardware test twice--it froze twice. Repaired all the permissions, reset the thing. All this I found out on the discussion groups.
I have read a lot of posts of similar problems and tried what was said there.
Am I heading for a crash? I cant back up my new stuff because the firewires are non-functional. I can't burn bunch of stuff to discs because the superdrive is going bad and won't burn properly (which is why I bought the LaCie which my computer now won't recognize.
I can't get anything off my computer except in bits and pieces with 2GB usb drive.
I know I'm rambling, but I've just spent 5 hours trying to fix this thing. Any suggestions? I'm going to take it in to the apple store to get it repaired tomorrow, but I'm worried I will lose all my data. Also I am scared of what it will cost. Is there anything else I could do tonight?
I'd love to have something else to try. Many thanks,
    Barbara

    HI Barbara,
It sounds like the hard drive is failing or has failed. Boot from your Mac install disc and if you can run Disk Utility in case the startup disk needs repairs.
Insert your install disk and Restart, holding down the "C" key until grey Apple appears.
Go to Installer menu and launch Disk Utility.
Select your HDD (manufacturer ID) in the left panel.
Select First Aid in the Main panel.
*(Check S.M.A.R.T Status of HDD at the bottom of right panel. It should say: Verified)*
Click Repair Disk on the bottom right.
If DU reports disk does not need repairs quit DU and restart.
If DU reports errors Repair again and again until DU reports disk is repaired.
When you are finished with DU, from the Menu Bar, select Utilities/Startup Manager.
Select your start up disk and click Restart
While you have the Disk Utility window open, look at the bottom of the window. Where you see Capacity and Available. *Make sure there is always 10% to 15% free disk space*
If you cannot boot from your install disc, try booting in Safe Mode
    What is Safe Mode

  • What are the changes to be done on BW end during hardware change of source system?

    Hello Gurus,
There is some hardware changes happening and I need help in certain things which I need to do from BW point of view.  First of all, I have attached a figure showing my system landscape.  I would kindly request you to go though the fig first.
For QA, initially we were using AG3 as the source system, now they have made the hardware changes, made a system copy of AG3 into the new system AEQ.  We have connected our BW QA system to this new system AEQ.  Now when I check the system, there are no data in set up tables (I am using SD and MM), but there are data in tables.  But when I replicate data sources from AEQ to BW QA, the existing transformations and DTPs will disappear. So, that left me with 2 options-
    1. Either transport old transformation and DTP from BW DEV to BW QA
    2. Or create new transformation and DTP in BW QA system.
Can you experts please suggest me what should be the solution?
Also, please note that, the basis team started the hardware changes with ECC QA system for some reason.  Once ECC QA is fine, they are planning to make the changes in ECC DEV system (from AG2 to AED).  Currently, AG2 is connected to BW DEV and AEQ is connected to BW QA.
Can you please suggest me whether there will be any issue if we opt to transport transformation and DTP from BW DEV to BW QA when BW DEV is still connected to old source system?  Or, is there any other easy way to sort this out? Please suggest?
    Thanks a lot
    Rakesh

    Hi,
    1. Either transport old transformation and DTP from BW DEV to BW QA?
Yes, better to transport from bw dev to bw qa
    2. Or create new transformation and DTP in BW QA system?
at BW Quality, creation may not be possible. Better to transport from bw dev to bwq.
or use standard abap program to activate transformations and dtp.
When changes are applying at source then you just need to take care the delta queues
clear all queues by running related V3 jobs and delta info packs. make them as 0 count.
once basis team was done changes later try to check your delta loads at bwq .
    Thanks

  • Workaround during Hardware migration on production system

    Dear SDN Friends,
We are approaching Hardware migration project in next two months,
    My system details are:
    ECC 6.0,
    Database: Maxdb 7.6
OS: Microsoft windows server 2003, 64 Bit.
Due to limitation on my current Hardware System Export will take longer on Production server. Due to this reason we will have to look for some standby approach for our buisness. I am thinking of following Approach.
    1. Prepare the standby system for production using backup and restore method of Homogeneous system copy.
    2. Redirecting all the logon users to this server.
    3. Stopping Instance on the main server and Starting System Export  there.
    4. Starting Import on the new production server.
    5. After Import is completed, Stop Standby instance, Take Transaction Logs Backup.
    6. Ship Transaction Logs to New Server.
    7. Apply Transaction Logs there.
    8. Once Logs are applied Start New system and Then Users can Login to this system.
I think with this approach system will not be available for end users for only few hours, (i.e. once the transaction log backup is taken till its applied on New Production server.)
Please Suggest me if you have
done this before or Guide me with proper way if I am wrong.
    Regards,
    Ritesh Bhatia,

    Hi Ritesh,
Instead of going for this long/complicated approach, I would go for the workarounds to plan how we can reduce the time duration of Export itself.
Moreover, after migration of non-production server, when you reach Production then probably you can plan to assign some more resources to the production server. For e.g. claiming some Memory/CPUs from non-production and assign them to Production just for the temporary time period until you finish with production Migration.
    Thanks

  • Error Code 2STH/1/3: Track Pad during Hardware test

I've been having problems with my Powerbook.....working along and then suddenly screen goes black and Powerbook goes completely dead. Have to do a hard restart to get it back up.
So I ran the Apple Hardware test. I get this error...2STH/1/3: Track Pad
Does anyone know what this is about?

You might want to look at http://www.ifixit.com or http:pbparts.com for the trackpad, which is integrated into the palm rest or top aluminum casing of the PB. Then if you're handy, you or someone can install it.
Or you can take it to Apple or an AASP to have it repaired for a fee.
