About Rebate VBO1

Dear,
I have a query on VBO1 Rebate- In condition Column Amount and Accurals Fileds?? what it is and what is the difference??
Where it will be use ful??
Is scales can i use in Rebate??
Thanks in adv

Hi
In normal circumstance the condition and accrual field will be filled with the same value. Firstly scales can be maintained for amount column. To take an example and illustrate.
Lets say there is a rebate agreement for a customer and material combination. If the customer buys according to the following scales he gets the following amounts.
0-100 units = USD 10 per unit
101-200 units = USD 15 per unit
more than 200 units = USD 20 per unit.
At the time of creation of this rebate agreement you would not know what would the customer actually buy over a period of time and what scale would he fall in. Taking this into consideration you should ideally think what if the customer actually acheives the highest level. In this case the accrual field should be filled with USD 20 such that accrual in finance takes place at USD 20 per unit (provision for rebate payout). In this case the amount would be filled with the different scales.
You can also have a scenario where in you dont have scales. In this case you can accrue at a flat rate of lets say USD 10 per unit. In this you know whatever you sell you will payout USD 10 per unit to the customer and hence you keep a provision in your accounts at USD 10.

  • Unsure about rebate!

Hey guys, i'm kinda confused about the rebate documents for the back to school student promo. I got the free ipod touch and printer and the rebate documents both require the macbook's UPC label but there's only one. I'll send the original UPC label for one of the rebates but for the other do i just photocopy it and send? I don't really understand the T&C that says "photocopy and send with original claims"? Do i have to send in any other documents with the photocopied UPC label?
Another thing, the sales receipt we've to send in can be the tax invoices that came in pdf files that were sent to my email right?
Thanks for the help although i know the questions are kinda simple but i'm really quite confused! :/

Your computer's box or the iPod's box has a UPC label. Cut out the label or photocopy. You may also need to include a photocopy of your original order receipt. Not positive about the latter, but that was the case a couple of years back.

  • Scale values in Sales Rebate Agreements

    Hi All
We are trying to set up rebate agreement reporting for our client. They use both Purchase related rebates (MEB1) and Sales rebates(VBO1). In the purchase related rebate screen(MEB3) -> Business volume data allows a drill down into scale income. But the same is option is not visible in sales related rebates (VBO3)
-> Sales volume data i.e. I can't see the scale values in the sales volume data report even though I have defined scales for my condition type.
Is there another way of seeing the scale values or is there some config missing? Please help as we are at our wit's end about the difference in functionality.
    Regards
    Salil

Such functionality does not exist in VBO3, sorry!

  • Suuser exit - rebates

    hi
one scenario : About rebates with free goods :
If cust purchase 10 printers in 3 months, i want to give 500/- rebate on each printer and i want to give 2 small printers to him after 3 months along with the credit note.
    How to solve this.
    regards
    lakki

    Hi Lakki,
There is no simple user exit solution for this. You need to go for some custom development for the same.
    1. First you need to create a Free Goods master record in VBN1 in such a way that Min Qty 1 Max Qty 10 Free Goods 2.
    2. Create a Z table for the accumulation of invoiced goods. This will get updated when invoice will be created for the customer for that sales order/delivery. Coulmns can be as follows.
    - SalesOg., Sold-To/Ship-To, Material, FreeGoodsCondType, Qty Invoiced, Date Invoiced.
User Exit for Invoice is RV60AFZZ in this USEREXIT_NUMBER_RANGE.
You have to put additional logic here to check if any Free Goods are ther in this invoice. If yes then delete all the entries from 3 months till Today.
    3. Create a rebate calculation routine in VOFM (Formulas -> Calc. Rule RebateKind. e.g. 901). Attache this routine in Free Goods Master Record.
    Put a logic as follows.
Read Z-table for 3 months till today. Get count of Qty Invoiced. Move this Qty. Invoiced to l_frm-mglme.
      l_frm-nrmenge = ( l_frm-mglme / l_frm-knrnm ).
      l_frm-nrmenge = FLOOR( l_frm-nrmenge ) * l_frm-knrzm.
    business rounding
      nachkomma = FRAC( l_frm-nrmenge ) * 10.
      IF nachkomma < maxrund.
        vorkomma = FLOOR( l_frm-nrmenge ).
      ELSE.
        vorkomma = CEIL( l_frm-nrmenge ).
      ENDIF.
      l_frm-nrrund  = l_frm-nrmenge - vorkomma.
      l_frm-nrmenge = vorkomma.
l_frm-nrmenge is the calculated Free Goods.
I have just consider simple scenario, but while testing you will come up with new scenarios.
    Thanks,
    Mandar

  • Settlement of rebate agreement for previous period

    Hi Friends!
This is about rebate settlement (Partial settlement) for rebate agreement documents. We have a process of creation of retro-active rebate agreements and then the sales invoices are updated through a backgound job (program SDBONT06). At the month end there is another background job (BON_ENH_SETTLE) for partial settlement for a month.
The above program is able to create rebate credit notes for respective months but there are updated invoice documents (accruals) in previous month. The background jobs are not able to settle the rebate accruals which are generated in previous months.
My question is that if we input the settlement period (ex june) for that particular month and the settlement date (30th June) in selection screen of program BON_ENH_SETTLE, would this ensure that the credit note can be generate for the month of june?
    regards,
    Praveen.

    Hi Friends,
Can any one please help me on the mentioned issue. It's bit urgent.
    Thanks & regards,

  • Can we see Customer # in line item of accoutning doc for Rebate Correction

    Hi SD gurus,
Now we have a requirement about rebate correction. In correction step, business want to see the customer number in line item of accounting document since it will be easy for them to do the reconciliation. I know there are allocation # and reference # in copying control that can be used to transfer some information from billing to accounting doc, but there is no option for customer # filed. All the information it can transferred is like SO #, Delivery # etc. Is that because cusotmer # is master data? Can anybody give me some idea?
Your advise will be highly appreciated.

  • Manual accruals in rebates

    hello,
i have configured rebates and the system is accruing rebates in the  customer billing documents i create.  the pricing procedure is ZXP001. my questions are as follows :-
    1) do we have to use the same pricing procedure zxp001 in manual accruals order type and it's credit memo request and the same pricing procedure in partial order type/ final settlement order type and their credit memo req ?
    2)  after creating one billing document. when i see the rebate agreement sales volume, the figures are as follows :-
    a)  total  value column shows  200 eur , total accruals value is 200.
i created a partial payment of 50 and then the  revised figures in sales volume are as follows.
total  value colum is 150 and total accrual value is 150.
now i created a manual accural of 25 eur, the system now shows the following values in sales volume as .
total value column 150 and total accrual  value is 125 ? .
my question is on doing manual accrual, the system should increase the total accrual value to 175(150+25 ) but the system reduced it to 125 (150-25)  ..... why this is so ?
the total value column should show 175 since the customer is entitled to more rebates of 25 eur thru manual accural  but it is showing 150 in total value column  ... why this is so ?

  • Rebate processes

    sap gurus
pls clarify me about rebate processes and final settlement and manual accurulswith examples.

    Dear Siva,
    Final settlement
    Use
When you carry out final settlement of a rebate agreement, the system automatically
calculates the rebate based on the sales volume statistics or the lump sum
    deducts any previously paid rebates
It then creates a credit memo request, and proposes the end date of the agreement validity period as the billing date.
The system also reverses any accruals that have been posted.
Depending on Customizing, when the system creates a credit memo request, the document is automatically blocked for billing. After approving the credit memo request, the person responsible can remove the billing block. You can then create the final credit memo.
When you want to search for credit memo requests during sales order processing, you can use the matchcode F "Credit memo request for rebate".
You can carry out final settlement of rebate agreements
    automatically
    Manually
as a background task (in batch)
    Settling Single Rebate Agreements
You can carry out settlement directly from within a rebate agreement.
Before you save the rebate agreement you can still carry out changes to the credit memo request:
The credit memo request is only saved when you save the rebate agreement.
Carrying out Final Settlement as a Background Task
If the volume of your sales rebate processing is high, you can collectively process rebate settlements as a background task.
    The following reports are available:
    RV15C001
    RV15C002
Your system administrator can use these reports to generate a list of rebate agreements, based on various selection criteria, such as rebate recipient, status of the agreement, and so on.
Background processing can then be carried out later. I.e., after the regular posting periods.
After a list is generated, the rebate agreements can be analyzed or processed for payment.
For more information about settling rebates as a background task, see your system administrator.
    Working with Manual Accruals
    Use
Posting accruals manually can be useful in different situations such as:
    Lump sum payments
    Accruals correction
You can control at which time and for which amount the accruals should be posted.
You can build accruals for a particular condition record or reverse them in part or in full.
When you save the rebate agreement, the system will automatically create a credit memo request. The system uses this document to create a credit memo. When the credit memo is released, the accruals are posted to FI.
If you have posted accruals manually, but these have not been passed on to financial accounting, the manual accruals and manual payments in the rebate agreement are blocked.
I hope it will help you,
    Regards,
    Murali.

  • What is rebates in Oracle Apps AR?

    Hello,
I have a requriement where I need to find about Rebate in Recievables.. below is the scenario...
I wanted to find out what is synonymus to "Rebates" in Oracle?
My understanding of Rebates is --
Rebate, is you have a customer who bought a 100 dollars item from your company,
You will receive 100 dollars, but this item has a 10 dollar rebate marked on the item,
So, the 10 dollars you give back to the customer is  the Rebate.
Where can this be found in oracle receivables - i mean which table or column
are there different types of rebates.
Correct me if I am wrong, I am thinking that Credit Memo is something similar to this concept? Am I right.
    Thank you in advance.

POF = Portable Object Format, the recommended - but not default - platform agnostic serialization mechanism used in Coherence.
Aleks Seovic talked about POF at the last London SIG: [slides (PDF)|http://coherence.seovic.com/files/portable-objects.pdf].
    [This presentation (PDF)|http://coherence.oracle.com/download/attachments/5112972/2009-04-16-EnhancingCoherenceAppsPOF.pdf] details POF.
Once you've got those down you, Rob Varga's [excellent POF Serializer Generator|http://coherence.politext.info/pof-serializer-generator-java-apt-plugin] will make you swoon with delight as it addresses the somewhat tedious burden of writing POF serialization code by hand.

  • Rebate for iPhone 4?

As all my fellow Verizon customers know, you usually receive a mail-in rebate when purchasing a new phone when renewing or signing up for a 2-year contract. Does anyone know if the iPhone 4 is elgible for any types of rebates? Or is the price just $199?
    Please let me know! Thanks

Oh man, really? Ugh, that stinks. Thank you for responding so quickly.  How did you find out that info?
With all the whining about rebates on this forum lately (I realize probably not from you) it is no wonder that Verizon and Apple do not have a rebate program in place for this release.  More trouble than it is worth.
Can't expect people not to investigate getting some money back, lol.  I agree that there should be a little less whining about it but people tend to think they're a special case.

  • Rebate vendor process

    Hi gurus,
I need information about rebate from vendor (MEB1 transaction, A001 condition). The entire process step to step.
I have configured a rebate agreement in MEB1 but when create purchase orders, condition A001 appears automatically but without value
    All answers will have premium.
    Thank you!!!

    Rebate Arrangement Processing (Vendor)
    Purpose
This process allows you to create rebate arrangements by grouping together conditions requiring end-of-period settlement agreed with a "condition granter" that are valid within the same overall timeframe and which are due for settlement at the same points in time.
Vendors may agree to refund a certain portion of the purchase price to purchasers in the wholesale/retail industry on condition that a certain quantity or value of goods is bought (incentive rebates), that payment is effected promptly, or that promotional activities are carried out, for example. End-of-period refunds of (retrospective discounts allowed on) part of the total spend with a certain vendor may also be payable as the vendoru2019s contribution towards disposal costs incurred by retailers and wholesalers (in connection with packaging, waste materials returned such as spent batteries, etc.). If a vendor agrees to enter into an such an arrangement with you, he is regarded in the SAP System as "granting conditions".
Conditions can be divided into two groups: those having immediate effect based on individual invoice dates, and those requiring "subsequent" settlement (retrospective settlement at the end of a certain period).
Conditions having immediate effect are taken into account immediately in the vendor invoices or at the time of payment of the latter (and therefore do not form part of this module).
Conditions having subsequent effect have to be taken into account at a later date: that is, some time after the submission of an invoice relating to an individual purchase transaction. In this case, settlement is based not on individual transactions but on the total volume of purchases - expressed in money or quantity terms - over a period. This is what is meant by "subsequent settlement."
You can enter rebate arrangements negotiated with the "condition granter" (comprising the agreed conditions involving subsequent settlement) in the system. Later, settlement with regard to such arrangements can be effected automatically, when payment becomes due. (Process: settlement accounting for conditions requiring subsequent settlement.)
Rebate arrangement processing in the SAP System provides the following options:
Conditions apply on the one hand to goods/merchandise and on the other to organizational units of an enterprise (area of application).
If a condition applies to several articles that do not belong to the same vendor sub-range, you can assign these articles to a "settlement group" for joint processing.
Conditions relating to a group of articles (a vendor sub-range or a settlement group, for example) are created with a "settlement article." The latter serves to facilitate any necessary conversions between different units of measure.
A volume rebate arrangement can contain scaled or non-scaled conditions/main conditions and period conditions.
Furthermore, you can extend the validity of such an arrangement to cover a longer time-span or "until further notice". For example, an arrangement created for one calendar year can be automatically replaced by a new, identical one that is valid for the following calendar year.
    Process Flow
You first choose an arrangement type. This determines the payment method, default values for validity periods, the permissible condition types, and key combinations, for example. It is also used to assign the settlement and arrangement calendars.
You then enter the condition granter and define the validity period of the rebate arrangement.
You enter the conditions that make up the arrangement. In the case of arrangements requiring periodic settlement, you also enter the period-specific condition records (covering the individual periods within the overall timeframe of the arrangement).
If required, you define rebate scales for the conditions, together with the relevant validity periods.
You specify whether a business volume comparison and agreement process is to take place (in order to identify and reconcile any discrepancies between your companyu2019s and the vendoru2019s figures) prior to final settlement accounting with regard to the rebate arrangement.
    Notes and Remarks
Before you set up a volume rebate arrangement in the system, the Subsequent settlement indicator must have been set for the condition granter in the vendor master record at the desired purchasing organization level.
For conditions relating to a group of articles, you must make sure that a "settlement article" has been maintained in the system. This is used to carry out any necessary conversions between different units of measure and may also be used for billing rebate income due. The settlement article is entered in the arrangement.
The ongoing business volume update process is based upon certain important information from the conditions, such as the area of application (condition relates to goods/merchandise or to organizational units of an enterprise), and settlement frequency. This information cannot be changed once the arrangement has been created in the system.
In the case of broker processing, ensure that an access sequence for broker processing has been assigned to the condition type (in Customizing). That is to say, the condition type must include accessing of the prior vendor (original, or supplieru2019s, supplier).
You will find details on the volume of business done with a vendor in the lists Detailed statement (e.g. of purchase orders or invoices received) and Statement of statistical data as well as in the Standard analysis for subsequent settlement accounting. You will find these lists in the Subsequent settlement menu.
You create arrangements for a promotion via the Promotion menu.
    Regards,
    Indranil
