  • Runtime Exception in Message mapping

    Hi Experts,
I have a scenario of  IDoc to  <third party adapter> cXML.
The message caught the below error
RuntimeException in Message-Mapping transformation : Runtime exception during processing target field mapping ......./ShipTo[2]/Address/PostalAddress/DeliverTo (suppressed field). The message is: Exception:[java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: 7] in class com.sap.xi.tf._M_IDOC_to_cXML_ method getShipToContact$[, , com.sap.aii.mappingtool.tf3.rt.Q2QFunctionWrapper@253fdd8a]
Please suggest on what went wrong, as everything is working fine before.
    Thanks in advance.
    MK

    Mk:
Please check if the source fields which are mapped to the target are all generated by the SAP Script and make sure that they have data so that when they are mapped to the target. If they are mapped and source fields don't have data then it may error out. Sometimes SAP Script might not generate a node if there is not data for it, make sure you handle that condition also.
    RuntimeException in Message-Mapping transformation is
due to the missing TEXT_LINE element in the segment Z1VOBTH for the TEXT_ID 'INVOICE_TO_LOCATION'
I am not able to understand this. is Text_ID subelement of Text_Line?? Could you please post the complete error message as it is.

  • Runtime Exception in Message mapping transformation.

    hi Experts,
i did IDOC(MATMAS05) to File scenario.
if i tested the mapping in IR (Test tab), its working fine.
but when i triggered the IDOC from SAP R/3 system, it reaches to SAP PI and showing Mapping falure in SXMB_Moni.
then i took the payload from the MONI, and tesed with this payload in Mapping test tab in IR.
there it is showing as java null pointer exception.
can anybody tell me what is the problem here?
    thanks,
    kumar

    Hi,
I think the required fields might not be occuring, if it occurs it might not have contianed any values thats the reason why message mapping is failing. For required fields you might have done some transformations which will not work if source required field has no values in it.
    So kindly check and correct.
    Regards,
    Chandra.

  • Runtime Exception Opening the KM Detail Iview

    Hi ,
I created a KM Navigation Iview  and i can see my folders and files.
When i click from the Iview Context menu the Details option i get the exception.
    "Portal runtime error.
An exception occurred while processing your request. Send the exception ID to your portal administrator"
I can see the details Iview only if my user has assigned the Super Administrator Role.
    Please i appreciate any help.
    Regards,

Hello, your KM Navigation iView is fine, when you open details screen you launch a KM Details iView,
it's located under the Standard User Role, if you have the default configuration you may find it at
    portal_content/every_user/general/eu_role/com.sap.km.home_ws/com.sap.km.hidden/com.sap.km.urlaccess/com.sap.km.details
    check its permissions
If you still have no access the problem is on the component this iView executes - com.sap.km.cm.uidetails
If that's the case you gotta deal with Security Zones, which you can find at System Administration > Permissions > Portal Permissions > Security Zones
find your component (can't help you much here since I don't have that level of access) and set the permissions there
    regards,
    Rafael

  • Receiving Connection Runtime Exception Using the Workspace

Receiving "The task could not be successfully executed." when running the workspace....
I have created a presentation where I have a user input a directory path (a string) and once they have entered it they press a button on the presentation to check if the path that they entered is valid. In the background this is placing a call to an Oracle stored function to a database that houses EMC File Level Reporting information.
The following code is used to check to see if the file path that the user entered is vaild. It returns either TRUE (1) or FALSE (0).
    /******* BEGIN CODE ********/
    v_doesExist as Decimal
// the line below is only used for testing/verification (debug use only)
    this.fileDirectory = "/my/file/path/"
    v_doesExist = call(CHECK_DIR_EXISTS, pdir : this.fileDirectory)
// the line below is only used for testing/verification (debug use only)
    display v_doesExist
    /******* END CODE ********/
If I run this code in debug mode it executes fine and returns either TRUE or FALSE (1 or 0). Which indicates to me that the connection to the database is working as it should.
It is only when I launch the workspace and input a string value (e.g. /my/file/path/) and press the button that triggers the above code where I receive the following error message:
The task could not be successfully executed.

    Thanks,
    Ashok

The xml structure generated from XI looks different to that of the response we receive in payload of calling adapter
    this would mean
    1)  that the structure(s) that your are using are not same as what the target system is sending back....Your target system is SOAP and hence you would have used the WSDL from target application.
Just make sure that the WSDL you are using in XI/ PI are updated and exactly same as they are in the target application.
    2) You have some element in the response which you have not mapped to the target structure....are all the fields in the response are mapped?
If still not getting solved, post the difference that you see in the structures.

  • Handling PI 7.1 RFC Lookup Exception in Graphical Mapping

    Dear Experts,
I would like to know the better way of handling PI 7.1 - RFC Lookup Exception in Graphical Mapping without using  BPM. Say I perform a RFC Lookup from PI 7.1 Graphical Mapping and it fails due to RFC server down. In this case I suppose the RFC exception would be returned as response to the mapping? But, am really not sure how this response (RFC Exception) could be effectively used. Please clarify.
    Thanks,
    Hussain.
Edited by: HussainShaik on Oct 26, 2009 8:24 AM

    Hi Hussain,
I am not sure if I understood you query completely.
IF the RFC look up raised some exception then how this is going to impact your interface will depend your mapping (which you did in ESR)
(the following is adopted from help.sap, com)
If you handled exceptions  by selecting Use Exceptions checkbox in the function properties of the standard function, the mapping editor adds an additional parameter in red (the bottommost return parameter) to the standard function in the data-flow editor. If you do not assign a target field to this return parameter, ignore the RFC exceptions (the message mapping is not terminated at runtime). Otherwise the mapping runtime transfers the exception as an XML structure and it can then be evaluated in a user-defined function, for example. If there is no exception, the mapping runtime transfers an empty context.
If you have not selected the Use Exceptions checkbox, the mapping runtime terminates the message mapping if an exception occurs during the RFC lookup.
Is this you are looking here?

  • Runtime exception with ADG when compiled with ANT

    Hi,
We are using Advanced Data Grid in our project and it compiles and produces a correct SWF file when compiled using the licensed FlexBuilder. This work fine for the development environment, but for the testing and staging environments we use ANT to automate the build process of both Flex and Java components.
When the swf is built using ANT, we get a runtime exception when the page containing the ADG is accessed in web browser. The exception is

  • Runtime exceptions from listeners

When a servlet context listener throws a runtime exception, does the container
              catch it? It seems that
the container just ignores the exception and tries to go on with life as usual.
It does not even log the
exception trace in the server log. Out of desperation, I finally put my entire
              contextInitialized() method
in a try-block, and created a catch-block for RuntimeException which prints the
              exception stack-trace to
              the console.

  • Runtime Exceptions - CAN I PIPE THEM

I have typical problem which i believe every one might have come across while using windows98 system. When running the java application from command prompt and case of runtime exceptions thrown, the message just flies up the screen unlike in unix based system where the shell in X Servers have scroll bars to view the length.
Is there a way to pipe these run time exceptions to a text file rather than programming to handle problems of wrong coding.
I know there's some logical coding problem but if i can trace its origin i can try to debug it.
    regards
    Shomal

System.setErr(newPrintStream);will send anything normally bound for System.err to a print stream of your choosing. You can do the same for System.out using System.setErr(newPrintStream);Hope this is helpful...

  • Add Collada objects to the map

    Hi,
I am able to add collada (.dae) objects to the plain white scene. Now I want to add some of the objects to the map component. I get no errors and in debug-mode the component has the objects listed.
The Problem is: the objects are not visible on the map.
Did I miss some specific options, which are not necessary in the plain white scene, but in the map?
    Thanks,
    Marc

    Hi Uwe,
sorry for the missing informations, I thought it would work the same everywhere.
I am currently working with a simple dynpro application. I can see the map, interact with it, especially add simple boxes to the map. Now I want to replace these simple boxes with 3D models. I can see these in the white scene, that works fine. But when I add the 3D objects to the map in the same way as to the white scene, everything works and says that the objects ARE on the map. The only problem is, I can not see them on the map. Even with a fly-to in creation step the map zooms to an empty place on the map (except for the map itself).
The VBI version should be 2.1, on our backend is UI2_700, UI2_701, UI2_702, UI2_731.

How do I do that, please ?

    This information does not help.
The bookmarks from the Maps app do not appear in my Contacts.
The bookmarks I am talking about are created in the Maps app by the "Add to Bookmarks" button on the Info window.  The info window where you have the choices of "Add to Contacts", "Share Location", and "Add to Bookmarks".
The only thing I seem to be able to do is edit the name of the individual Map Bookmarks.

  • Handling Java runtime exception on Vista OS

    Hello Forum members,
This is regarding the handling of runtime exception on Vista machine with JRE 1.4.2_14.
Iam working on client / server scenario where i need handle the run time exception say SocketExcpetion or IOException like "No Route to Host " exception whenever there is network connection problem with the server.
    Problem:
On Windows 2000 and Windows XP OS , Iam able to get the Socket Exception from the server when there is network connection problem and based on this Iam displaying some error message to the user but on Vista am not able to catch these runtime exception since Vista OS is blocking the runtime excpetion thrown from the server or network.
Please let me know how to configure the Vista OS to allow the runtime exception to be thrown to the user or how to handle the programmatically (using java ) on Vista OS to throw exception.
    Any suggestion is welcome
    Best regards,
    Sudhir

I have heard that on Vista machine , by default the windows firewall will block all the runtime exceptions (especially the ones which are thrown from the server).
This problem is with respect to Client/server scenario where the server will throw SocketException when there is network connection problem and on the client side i need to catch and handle this exception to display appropriate message to the end user.

    Dear Rableen,
As Muniyappan and peter told about the mandatory field value is missing for the target element
"/ns0:ProductCategoryHierarchyMassReplicationRequest/ProductCategor", I am able to see other fields are also not getting input data.
    as below
    "Cannot create target element /ns0:ProductCateg"
Request you to test with the payload in message mapping and activate the message mapping first and then edit your operation mapping and call the same message mapping in your operation mapping and activate all your objects.
    Thank you!
