About Third Party Sale

Dear Gurus,
Kindly help me with configure the below process.
Unlike a third pary item ,which is delivered to the customer directly by the vendor, I want to add a material in the sales order which is procured and placed in stock, schedule lines allowed and then delivered along with other items. Which settings would make this material behave differently from a third party item.
Also, could you please tell me the difference between TAS and TAB Item categories?
Many Thanks
Kumar

Hi
Your process is called individual purchse order
You will receive an order from customer
Up on saving the sales order PR will get generated
Based on that PR you will rise a PO to vendor and
You will receive the stocks in your plant and will do MIGO and keep them as sales order stocks
Then you will generate delivery to the customer and do PGI billing etc
Settings reqd
1.Item category group as BANC
2.Item category determined will be TAB or should be TAB
TAB is marked with special stock indicator as E in standards (that is reqd)
TAB is delivery related billing A for billing relevance
3.Schedule line category should be CB
4.In VOV6 for Schedule line category should be CB
In VOV6 details Order type should be NB
Item cartegory in purchase should be 0 in purchase
Account assignment catgory should be M
If you ensure these settings then your process will go smooth
In background for the Schedule line category CB the requirement type determined will be KEB and
the requirement type KEB  will be linked to Requirement class KEB
If anyone of the keys told in bold is not maintained or wrongly maintained the you will have problems in MIGO
From FI side it goes to  consumption account  not to inventory account as this is picked from the Requrement class in OVZG

  • Query about third party sale process

    Hi,
SD experts, would u please tell me the acctual spro configuration of "third party sale process".

    Hi Anirban,
First, there is a note 550388 which is the FAQ note for customizing of third-party process.
Actually the main configuration is just the item category and schedule line category.
You could refer to TAS and TAB in standard system to create third party order and individual purchase order.
You could also refer to the online documentation at
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_47x200/helpdata/en/70/a7853478616434e10000009b38f83b/frameset.htm

  • About third party sales

I have to send 1 material to 10 customers, out of 10 customers for 3 customers have to send direct from vendor(third party sales). How to customize this scenario ?.

Use Customer Material Info Record(CMIR) for these 3 customers. Create new usage ( eg; Z3rd) . Assign this usage in CMIR.
Now, in VOV4- Item category Determination
Sales Doc type + Item Cat group + Item Usage = Item Category
    SONORMZ3rd= TAS
So, whenever these customers place order for this material, this will be routed for procurement( third party sales) for rest of the customers will be normal sales

  • Cannot do MIGO in Third Party Sales Process with shipping notification

In the Third party sales process with Shipping notification, the item category for the material is TAS (Billing relevance=R),item category group is BANS.
Intially sales order is created, then using me21n with reference to purchase requisation purchase order is created, then in MIGO stage i used the PO No there but i get the message no item found in PO.
what adjustment have to be done in order to do MIGO

Refer following SDN thread, by that you will be able to get overview on best practices about Third Party Sales & necessary configuration you need to follow for statistical GR:
    - Third party direct shipment (II)
Further maintain Billing Relevance for Item Category as G - Order-related billing of the delivery quantity.

  • In Third party sales, Part of MM..?

    Hi guru's
Can explain about third party sales and what is major part of work for MM in that.
1.Please send me the overall flow in Third party sales process  with Transaction codes.
    thanks

    THIRD PARTY SCENARIO
in third-party order processing, your company does not deliver the items requested by a customer. Instead, you pass the order along to a third-party vendor who then ships the goods directly to the customer and bills you. A sales order may consist partly or wholly of third-party items. Occasionally, you may need to let a vendor deliver items you would normally deliver yourself.
    Process Flow
the processing of third-party orders is controlled via material types. Material types define whether a material is produced only internally can be ordered only from third-party vendors, or whether both are possible. For example, a material that is defined as a trading good can only be ordered from a third-party vendor. However, if you manufacture your own finished products, you may also want, from time to time, to be able to order the same type of product from other vendors.
    Processing Third-Party Orders in Sales
Third-party items can be created automatically by the system, depending on how your system is set. However, you can also change a standard item to a third-party item during sales processing manually.
    Automatic third-party order processing:-
if a material is always delivered from one or more third-party vendors, you can specify in the material master that the material is a third-party item. During subsequent sales order processing, the system automatically determines the appropriate item category for a third-party item: TAS. To specify a material as a third-party item, enter BANS in the Item category group field in the Sales 2 screen of the material master record.
    Manual third-party order processing
In the case of a material that you normally deliver yourself but occasionally need to order from a third-party vendor, you can overwrite the item category during sales order processing. For a material that you normally deliver yourself, you specify the item category group NORM in the material master.
If, as an exception, you use a third-party material, change the entry TAN to TAS in the ItCa field when processing the sales document. The item is then processed as third-party item.
If address data for the ship-to party is changed in the sales order in third-party business transactions, the changed data will automatically be passed on to purchase requisition and also to the purchase order ,if one already exists. In the purchase order, you can display the address data for the ship-to party in the attributes for the item.
You can only change the address data for the ship-to party in the sales order for third-party business transactions, and not in the purchase order.
    Processing Third-Party Orders in Purchasing
when you save a sales order that contains one or more third-party items, the system automatically creates a purchase requisition in Purchasing. Each third-party item in a sales order automatically generates a corresponding purchase requisition item. During creation of the requisition, the system automatically determines a vendor for each requisition item. If a sales order item has more than one schedule line, the system creates a purchase requisition item for each schedule line.
Purchase orders are created from purchase requisitions in the usual way. For more information about creating purchase orders, see the Purchasing documentation. During creation of the purchase order, the system automatically copies the delivery address of your customer from the corresponding sales order. In a sales order, you can enter purchase order texts for each third-party item. When you create the corresponding purchase order, the texts are automatically copied into the purchase order. The number of the purchase order appears in the document flow information of the sales order.
All changes made in the purchase order are automatically made in the sales order as well. For example, if the vendor confirms quantities and delivery dates different from those you request and enters them in the purchase order, the revised data is automatically copied into the sales order
you process third-party items by creating a normal sales order. In overview for the order, you can then overwrite the default item category (TAN in the standard system) with the special item category for third-party items: TAS
    Billing Third-Party Orders
If relevance for billing indicator for the item category has been set to B (relevant for order-related billing on the basis of the order quantity) in Customizing, the system includes the order in the billing due list immediately. If, however, the indicator has been set to F (relevant to order-related billing on the basis of the invoice quantity), the system does not include the order in the billing due list until an invoice from the vendor has been received and processed by the purchasing department. In the standard system, item category TAS (third-party order processing) has been given billing-relevance indicator F.
In the first case, the third-party order is considered to be completely billed only when the invoiced quantity equals the order quantity of the sales order item. In the second case, each time a vendor invoice is received, a customer invoice is created for the quantity in the vendor invoice and the order is considered to be fully invoiced until the next vendor invoice is received.
If you have activated billing-relevance indicator F for item categories in Customizing, billing can refer to the goods receipt quantity instead of the incoming invoice quantity.
You can control whether the invoice receipt quantity or the quantity of goods received is relevant for billing in Customizing for copying control for billing at item level.
FOR YOUR PROCESS Individual Purchase Orders WELL GIVE THE RIGHT SOLUTION
Individual purchase orders are used when your customer orders goods from you that are not in stock and must be ordered from one or more external vendors.
    Process Flow
During sales order entry, the system automatically creates a purchase requisition item. The purchasing department creates a purchase order based on the requisition and the vendor ships the goods directly to you (unlike third party order processing, where the vendor ships directly to your customer). You then ship the goods to your customer. While the goods are part of your inventory, you manage them as part of the sales order stock. Sales order stock consists of stock that is assigned to specific sales orders and cannot be used for other purposes.
Process Flow for 3rd Party Sales
Customize the third party sales in summary:
    Prerequisites for 3rd party sales,
    Purchasing org,
    purchasing group,
assign the Purchase org to company code
    assign Purchase org to plant,
should not maintain the stock in material, it should be trading goods,
    1. Create Vendor XK01
    2. Create Material – Material Type as "Trading Goods". Item category group as "BANS".
    3. Assign Item Category TAS to Order type that you are going to use.
    4. A sale order is created and when saved a PR is generated at the background
    5. With reference to SO a PO is created (ME21N). The company raises PO to the vendor.
    6. Vendor delivers the goods and raises bill to company. MM receives the invoice MIRO
    7. Goods receipt MIGO
    8. Goods issue
    9. The item cat TAS or Schedule line cat CS is not relevant for delivery which is evident from the config and, therefore, there is no delivery process attached in the whole process of Third party sales.

  • Question about: Auto PO generation for third party sales order

    Hi all,
Not sure if this is the right place to leave this question but giving a shot.
In Sales Item category we have a check box called generate auto po. By reading the help i came to know that it generates PO and/or Purchase Requisition automatically on saving the Sales Order. It is also said that we need to make some ALV setting. Can any one lead me how to configure the setting,so that i can be successful in knowing about Third party Orders.
    Thanks & Regards
    Mukund

    Hello Mukund
It is talking about ALE- Application Link Enabling - not ALV. That is if you have distributed applications and use ALE to communicate between them. I don't think you need to do anything else. Just go ahead and test it. And if your MM Purchasing master data is set up correctly, you should be able to see the message about PO creation when the sales order is saved.

  • Closed Third party Sales order still showing on Customer credit exposure

    Hi,
We had earlier closed the status for  a partially Invoiced Third party Sales order ,where Goods Receipt quantity was more than the PO and Customer Sales order quantity from Being Processed to completed through a Z transaction.
The payments for all the quantities delivered to the customers have been received for this particular third party order, but the value of one of the sales order item is showing as an exposure in the customer credit account.
Since there is no outstanding amount for this Sales order,How can this be resolved so as to this Sales order item amount should not appear in Customer credit account?
Inputs regarding this would be appreciated.
    Regards
    Mohammed Roshan

    Hi Jurijs,
Have you checked LVKMPFZ1, LVKMPFZ2 & LVKMPFZ3 to find out if there is any code for credit checks and blocks in these user exits.  Also please check FORM USEREXIT_AVAIL_CHECK_CREDIT under include MV45AFZF to find out if there is any code which is entered to not allow the availability check for blocked sales orders and therefore stopping the transfer of requirements inthe form of PR generation.
Don't worry about going into ECC 6.0. Once you will start the upgrade process on ECC 6.0, you will come to know a set of transaction codes which you can run into the system to find out the non standard ABAP code changes which exists in your SAP landscape.

  • Third party sales order report

    Hi
I got to prepare a report and the description is as follows:
"Report for discount pricing conditions manually entered in third party sales orders."
"Discount price reporting for manual pricing conditions in sales order processing (not in billing)"
"The report should reflect manual pricing discounts captured in the third party sales order. The relevant (third party) document types will be confirmed.Currently we have the following pricing condition type used for manual discount: YRD2- Manual Distr. Discount % YRD3- Manual Distr. Discount fixedThis report will facilitate the monitoring on the discounts given to the distributors. We still need to confirm the complete list of discount pricing conditions for the report. The report should extract the manual discount information based on the following criteria:Sales organization, period, sales order, customer (wholesaler and/or third party) and pricing condition type.Summing per sales order, customer, period should be enabled. The discounts should be displayed in document (sales order) currency. "
I didnt understand the following to get the purpose of this report:
    1. what is this third party sales order ?
    2. What is manual pricing condition?
    3. what is manual pricing condition? how many types of conditions are there like this?
    4. What is the actual analysis that can be made from the output of this report?
Please explain them in detail. Thank you.

Goods receipt will be posted when ever the vendor ships the goods to our customer.
We will do this transaction in SAP using MIGO.
Invoice receipt is done when the Vendor sends us the invoice.. ( I.e Billing ).
It can be done using MIRO.
THe above two steps are standard and manual. There are many other ways that the actual process can happen. If the client follows EDI standards then the Goods receipt and Invoice receipt can be done through IDOCs automatically.

  • Third party sales order bringing goods into inventory

    Hi gurus,
I have a scenario where a third party sales order will be created for which a purchase requisition is created in sales order itself. Now i have converted the PR into PO. While doing goods receipt it should come into storage location. then we should goods issues from the delivery documents. In this regard i would like to know the required coming for itself.

    Hi,
What you want makes no sense.
In third party process the goods won't arrive in your warehouse (SLoc) physically, because your vendor sends them directly to your vendor. Since the goods won't arrive at your site, there's also no point in speaking about creating delivery and posting goods issue.
Please check SAP help how the process works:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_47x200/helpdata/en/dd/560287545a11d1a7020000e829fd11/frameset.htm
If you want the goods to arrive at your location - even tough they don't arrive physically -, you can use the individual PO scenario. This would be a workaround - but I think you shoul revise your requirement and way of thinking.

  • Third Party Sale with Consignment  ?

    Hi All
Our client has a very specific requirement  , they want their vender to put the stock at the customer's premises , so that the customer can use the material as per their requirement . Clint is a Treading concern. So how to map the scenario ?
to my mind it involves third party sale as the client is a treading concern and want the material to be delivered from vendor's plant  to the customer directly.  But also involves consignment sale  as we cant bill the customer untill and unless the customer  inform us about the quantity they have  consumed.
So please suggest any idea with detail process only.
    Thanks in advance
    Ashok
    Please suggest....
Edited by: Ashok ku. on Nov 26, 2009 10:18 AM

    Hi Ashok,
this is clearly a third party scenario.
you bill the customer on the basis of vendor's invoice.
and vendor will invoice the customer only when the customer uses the materials.
so from the perspective of a vendor,
    its a consignment scenario.
so just follow our standard third party scenario.
    good luck.

  • How to configure a new third party sales document type?

    Hi SAP SD gurus,
I am new to the SAP world, I need your help in configuring a new third party sales document type for a site.
There are existing third party document types being used in the region, but the client wants an entirely new third party document type that is activated for CREDIT MANAGEMENT.
I just need your inputs, as how to go about it. If I copy from an existing third party sales doc. What additional steps do I need to follow? Like Item category config, copy control settings, and credit management.
Is there a need to create new billing types?
Also as per process, by creating a new document type, how will it affect the logistic processes, if any?
Thanks a lot in advance for your valuable inputs.

    Hello,
You can create new document type under following customization path
    SPRO>>Sales and Distribution>>Sales>>Sales Documents>>Define Sales Document Types
Now create new document type by copying the standard document type OR
    Now go to
    SPRO>>Sales and Distribution>>Sales>>Sales Documents>>Sales Document Item>>Define Item Categories
which is already defined for third party sales (TAS)
Now assign this iteme category to your new document type
    SPRO>>Sales and Distribution>>Sales>>Sales Documents>>Sales Document Item>>Assign Item Categories
Assignment needs to be done in combination of sales document type and item category group (BANS)
    Now
    SPRO>>Sales and Distribution>>Sales>>Sales Documents>>Schedule Lines
Assignment of schedule line is already done as you are using the standard one.
Lastly, you may need to maintain copy control for your newly created sales document type for this go to
SPRO>>Sales and Distribution>>Sales>>Maintain Copy Control for Sales Documents
(Copying Control: Sales Document to Sales Document)
Here you can define copy control requirements.

  • Removing Delition indicator in PR in third party sale

    Hi,
In third party sale when i apply the reason of rejection against of line item, it get refelect automatically in purchase requestion  as delition mark against of same item.
but when i remove the reason of rejection in sales order, it does not flow in purchase requestion and item gets remain with delition indicator.
If i go directly in purchase requestion and remove the delition mark, system gives the message that it will change from associate sales order only while i have already removed the reason of rejection from associate sales order already.
Please let me know how this removeing of reason of rejection will make impact in PR for removing the delition indicator or if i want to do manually in PR then how can i do in this scenario.
    Thanks in advance
    Jalaj garg

    Hi Jalal,
The way system is performing is expected.
A third party order is linked to the PR and after PR creation, the changes done in order will reflect in the PR. i..e Deletion indicator in SO will also put a deletion indicator in PR. First of all I dont know if you were allowed to put reason for rejection at order level. Ideally you should put deletion idncator at PR first and it will updaet SO. Also removal of deletion indicator also should start from PR adn not from SO.
i.e. Once PR is created, any changes to the process should be PR triggered. Changes triggered in SO will mostly not result in any changes in PR, I am not sure about the reason for rejection though.  What I have said applies for scheduling , transportation etc.
