About waking up an application

Hi you all!, I'm new to bluetooth with java and i would like to ask you for help.
I'm developing an application for a mobile that has to run on the background.
Bluetooth has to be always enabled and as soon as another bluetooth device with a special uuid contacts it, has to be able to receive a package and depending on the content of the package, run the other part of the application but still looking for incoming bluetooth packages.
I almost have the code to receive the packages but don't know how to run it on the background.
Does anyone have any idea?. If you want more information or the source code, just tell me.

Can it be done? What should I consider?Yes, it can be done. You should consider the breadth and depth of your ignorance before taking on a project that is so wildly beyond your current capabilities.
I recommend three strategies to you:
1. Find a pre-existing application that does this. Use that.
2. Hire someone to write this for you.
3. Learn how to do it.
Strategy 3 is not going to happen quickly, and breaks down into a number of smaller steps:
i. Learn Java in depth
ii. Learn how to build a J2EE application
iii. Learn how to build or adapt a J2EE application that answers this requirement.
If you think I'm being unhelpful then, well, your question is akin to: "I want to build an aeroplane, and I don't have much experience with tools. How do I go about it?"

When a stranger's Apple ID appears on your Mac in conjunction with an update for an app that you have never installed, you have a pirated app on your Mac. The pirated app is not the app calling for the update. This pirated app has been cracked with the MAS receipt from usually a free app, often Angry Birds or Twitter, acquired by the person whose Apple ID you see.
You may not have realized that it was a pirated app when you installed it. You may have believed that it was a trail version or a "free" version.
All MAS apps have a MAS receipt in their app bundle. Check any app acquired from the MAS. Right click on the app's icon in your Apps folder and choose Show package contents. In the Contents folder is a _MASReceipt folder and in that folder is the coded MAS receipt. It has the Apple ID of the MAS account that bought/acquired the app from the MAS. It is that receipt that the MAS uses to alert you that an app has an update. There would not be a notice of an update with someone else's Apple ID showing in the MAS on your Mac, if there was not an app with a receipt from this person's account somewhere on your Mac.

This app is easier to use and seems to be more powerful than Spotlight. Open FAF and in the box type _MASReceipt and press Find. It should come up with a list of every app on the Mac with a MAS receipt. Compare the apps with receipts in FAF's list with your purchased apps list in the Mac App Store. The odd app out should be the pirated app.

About deployment of the application

you create a WAR file and an EAR file and deploy it as described in the JBOSS documentation. This creates a J2EE application context with the name of the project's J2EE context (open the JDeveloper project properties and check the "J2EE Application" node. This shows you the default J2EE context used when deploying the application. You can change the string to something better if you like.
Then, after deployment you request
localhost:<port>/j2ee_context_path/initial_page.jspx

Problems about deploying Oracle web application (Forms, Reports)

I am going to deploy Oracle web applications (Forms and Reports) and plan to use the same server machine for both Application web server and Database server.
1. How can I enable SSL (for data encryption) on Application web server for Oracle Forms ?
2. Since both Application web server and Database server will use the same machine, do I still need Oracle Advanced Security for data transmission between Application web server and Database server if data encryption for transmission is required ?
3. Can I user Oracle Forms to call Oracle Report on web as I did in Client/Server in the past ?
Experts like you may have come across such problems. Would you please give me some opinions/ideas ?

A question about design of Java Application on java card.

Hi every one,
I have a question about design of Java applet on java card,
There is an application on my card that it is not java card, it include a DF and some EF under DF, I would like to know if I want to have this application on java card ,how can I design DF and EF on java card ,I mean is there any relation between DF,EF with applet and file? for example can I say DF is same as applet and EF is same as file?
I'll appreciate for any help .

for example,
samples/com/sun/javacard/samples/JavaPurse/CyclicFile.java
implements ISO 7816 CyclicFile ( EF )

Application stays in process list of task manager for about 20 seconds after application is closed

I have an application that uses Winsock for TCP/IP connections to the server. After connecting the Winsock communications and then closing the application , the application.exe stays in the process list for about 20 seconds before going away.
If I start the application and do not connect then when I close the application it clears from the process list immediately.
Any way to track down what is preventing the process from going away when the application closes down?

I installed and ran the process monitor program and it shows where the delay is but I'm not sure what it is. Below are a few entries copied from the performance monitor log that indicates the delay between 10:10:52 and 10:11:15.

Recording info about how long an application has been open?

Hi. I would like to set up some kind of log that tells me when I've opened a particular application (Final Cut Pro) and how long (how many minutes/hours) the application has been open for that particular session or that particular day.
Ideally, the log would have the new information appended to the end of it each day; it wouldn't delete/refresh/overwrite itself -- so at the end of, say, six months, I could look at the log and see, Oh, I used Final Cut on Tuesday, April whatever, for 10 hours, and then on Friday, May whatever, for another 12 -- without having to know about any other activity with any other application on my system.
Is there an easy way to do this with OS X 10.4.5? Can Automator do this for me? (Didn't notice an FCP icon in the library of applications Automator can act upon.) Do I need to use AppleScript?

When looking for new applications, I recommend searching MacUpdate or Version Tracker. The user-submitted reviews accompanying the listings are helpful in sorting the wheat from the chaff.

[w3schools.com|http://w3schools.com/] offer tutorials for html/css/xml/javascript/sql/php etc. Nice introductions and, for casual users of these technologies (like me), good references. More nuts and bolts and less design though.
For Java (the language that this forum is concerned with) try Sun's online Tutorial which has lots of examples. Books and things can be found by googling this site - there are lots of posts like reply 3 [in this thread|http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=5306884].

What do you think about IPlanet 6.x Application server?

Right now our company is developing an important project with J2EE. Our customer has IPlanet 6.5 application server. So far, we have had lots of problems with it.
What do you think about it?.
Would we consider to change the application server?.

We also have had a lot of problems, although to be fair we have got it running reasonably reliabily now but only after disabling some of its features such as clustering. Make sure you have the maintence pack 1 installed. Ask Sun about the problems you are having often we would get a reply saying it was a known bug etc, unfortunatly no bug list is made available by sun...

Getting an error message talking about not initializing the application's security component when starting up

i get a message every time i start up firefox saying "Could not initialize the application's security component. The most likely cause is problems with files in your application's profile directory. Please check that this directory has no read/write restrictions and your hard disk is not full or close to full. It is recommended that you exit the application and fix the problem. If you continue to use this session, you might see incorrect application behaviour when accessing security features."

About Sun Java System Application Server

Can SJSAS dealing with 2 LAN Card (NIC) and 2 Ips? let's say i want to separate my client's network and the server's network. clients connects to the Application Server using IP 192.168.11.xxx and the application server connects to the database server using ip 192.168.22.xxx, so the the apllication have 2 IPs and also 2 LAN Card (NIC). Does SJSAS support my needs? thanks for your help

Question about konception of a application

Hello,
I'd like to make an application, which would have a lot of forms and where I could very easy add new forms. In JSF every form has own JavaBean and information in faces-config.xml.
I'd like to avoid write for every form a bean and writting data info faces-config.xml.
I wanted to write own VariableResolver, which would take form-data and write them into DB.
However, I don't know how to check if the data are already valid - VariableResolver is called a few times.
I could write a Action, which would be called after submit. These Action would be defined in some class (which would be pretending that it's Bean for this form but it'd not have any getters and setters) and it would write the data into DB.
Does anyone made similar application or have idea for a better solution ? ?
