Accept Initial Zero

In a CBT application we're currently developing, each
location will enter a unique indentifier of 4 digits, already
assigned, upon initial use. Unfortunately, several locations were
assigned 3-digit numbers and should therefore begin the entry with
a 0. Is there any code that will prompt the program to accept the
leading zero?

'Leading Zeros...'
Check that for whatever text style you're using in your text
entry field.

  • FM: GUI_DOWNLOAD not picking initial zero

    Hi Experts,
I am using FM : GUI_DOWNLOAD for downloading material Master to PC...but material number is downloaded without initial zero's...like
if Meterial number is : 005646 and 00012AP00...Then it is downloaded as :
5645 and  00012AP0 ( this number is downloaded as it is because it is alpha numeric )
    Please advice :
I have searched SDN many of them have commented to concatenate material number with special characteristics...but I can't go with this because..after downloading user will upload the same ..so it will be big probs.
    Please advice.
    Karthik.R

    Hi Karthik,
You have to check Material value in 2 ways.
First you check the value in debug mode, the material value comes with leading zeroes or not.
    1. if it comes with zeroes then you do settings in excel format. (Format cells -> Text)
    2. if its not come with zeroes then you use FM Conversion_Exit -
    to download with zeroes.
please check......surely u will get output.

  • Renaming image files - LR doesn't accept preceding zeros

I have finished editing in the develop modules & deleted some additional photos in the shoot during the editing process. I do review & delete most of my unwanted images in advance, so please don't lecture me on this!
Anyway, I went to the library module, selected all, & hit F2 to batch rename all selected images (DNG) in sequence. My problem is this - LR won't accept preceding zeros in the Start Number box. I would like for the first image to have 3 digits - that is: 001. LR eliminates the zeros, resulting in a single digit "1" instead.
Is there a workaround for this?
I can rename the images using another program I have, but I'm afraid that the editing adjustments performed in LR may get jumbled.

    Thanks, Dharma Sam!
I never bothered to go into the edit > custom settings!    DUH!
That enabled me to get the results I wanted.

  • Time Capsule not accepting initial connection

    Hi,
I've got a 1Tb Time Capsule (original with wireless n or n/g compatible) and three Macs (last old style MacBook Pro, a newish unibody and a Mac Mini), and I'm having trouble with all three Macs connecting wirelessly to the Time Capsule. Basically first connection of a machine fails to find the TC: making the computer sleep and waking it and it then finds the TC immediately. As we are using laptops this is getting a bit irritating having to re-wake the computer each time you want to connect. Any ideas what may be causing this?
I've tried resets of all hardware and upgrading to latest software. We have recently moved and the Time Capsule has been off for a while (a week). I've used iStumbler and there are a lot of networks around but nothing using the same channel.
    Thanks for any suggestions,
    Sam

I'm not sure this will help, but since no one else had any suggestions for you, I'll offer it anyway. It might help to reset the connection settings on your Macs using these steps one at a time until the problem is resolved, recognizing that, depending on your problem, not all of these steps will make sense:
    1) Use the AirPort menu bar item to turn AirPort off, then on again.
    2) Try to select your Wi-Fi network from the AirPort menu.
    3) In the Network panel of System Preferences delete the AirPort item from the left column, then add it back.
    4) In the same panel as (3), define a new location and see if you can make that work.
    5) In the same panel, select the AirPort connection item, click the "Advanced" button, select the "TCP/IP" tab, then click "Renew DHCP Lease".
    6) In the folder /Library/Preferences ( not <yourhomefolder>/Library/Preferences), move the folder SystemConfiguration onto the Desktop, then restart your computer. See if you can now make your AirPort connection work.
These steps may not help, but they'll only take a couple of minutes to try. Before you try these, if you have any special network settings on your Mac for things like DSL credentials, note all your network settings, because the latter steps will destroy them. If you got all the way to the last step, if things don't work any worse than before, you can trash the saved SystemConfiguration folder.

  • ZERO condition Value in pricing

    Hi Gurus,
I have requirement where the condition should allow/accept a zero value when entered in a sales order.
It is necessary to fill at least an amount of 0,01 in. Weu2019d like to fill in the amount of 0,00 so that there is no pricing for the item.
Could you please tell me where I need to change the settings.
    Thank You in advance.
    Regards
    Kumar

    Hi,
In transaction V/08, go to the pricing procedure, which is shown in the sales order. Go to the item pricing condition type and de-select the check mark, under mandatory column.
Also check in transaction code OVA2, incompletion procedure, for the sales document item procedure, the field related to net price must be removed.

  • Billing with Zero quantities:

    Hi all,
I have some problem in billing. I have created few orders with some line item with zero quantities and some are with quanitties in the same order.
It has allowed me to save the order and also to deliver but not allowing me to bill / invoice, system throws the message " can't be billed order incomplete"......
I want to some how bill these and want to post for accounting also...
    Thank you
    Sushil Kumar

    Dear Sishil,
As per the standard you can't  bill the item with zero quantity.
If you don't enter the quantity system will show that sales order as incompletion system will not allow you to create the delivery also but I don't know how you created delivery in this case.
If you want to bill that with out entering the quantity of the item then you need to remove the Field KWMENG Order Quantity from incompletion log of the Sales order item.
After removing the field  KWMENG Order Quantity from incompletion log of the Sales order item you need to create the sales then do the delivery then do the billing now system will accept with zero quatity of item.
I hope this will help you,
    Regards,
    Murali.

  • Remove leading zeros coming from Active Directory

Greetings all.  Our sapusername is stored in Active Directory with leading zeros.  Is there a way to remove these zeros in the portal so SSO will work?  I have had my AD team manually remove the zeros in front of my sapusername, so I'm sure that's the issue.
Alternately, is there a setting in R3 that would allow leading zeros?

    Hi,
I've seen the problem before and I think you only have two choices (haven't looked into if R3 can accept leading zeros)
    1. Since you are allready retrieving sapusernames from an R3 change that mapping to remove leading zeros and possibly put it in a new attribute.
    2. Create a JAAS login module which retrieves found username from the HeaderVariableLoginModule and trims leading zeros before putting the username back to shared state. This new LoginModule must be placed before the CreateTicketLoginModule.
Note it is not very trivial to create a JAAS login module but an excellent guide can be found here http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/46/3ce9402f3f8031e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm

  • Does Random with zero seed work ?

    halo everyone..
i am new to this site.. and im very new to java too.
anyways.. i am so stomped.. how can i make a
random constructor to accept a zero seed and still
    generate a random number ?
    coz when i try like
    Random generator = new Random(0);
all my generated integers stay the same..
    not random at all.
i tried to use DecimalFormat to try and work around
this problem.. but still it doesn't work for me. i would like
to know if this is possible to have zero seed. thanx

    You must be using it incorrectly. You're probably doing something like this: for (...) {
        Random rand = new Random(0);
        int value = rand.nextInt();
    } You need to do this: Random rand = new Random(0);
    for (...) {
        int value = rand.nextInt();
} Or, if rand is a member variable in your class, make it static, so all instances share the same Random.
If you create multiple Randoms with the same seed, they'll all have the same sequence of pseudorandom numbers. If you only use each one once, you'll always get the first number in that sequence.

  • No BAPI results when setting initial values

    Hi folks,
I have an WD which calls a BAPI and works very well when I set the input parameters via input fields manually.
BUT when I try to set them hard-coded in the wdDoInit method or anywhere else, the BAPI returns nothing, no exception, no items, nothing!
When I uncomment the hard-coded settings, everything works well again.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks in advance,
    Nicolai

    Hi Nicolai,
I got through your posting recently .Actually i am new to webdynpro and want some help from you .
In my project i have one custom controller named MgrCust and one view named MgrView .Inside the custom controller there is a method named displayData() from where i have to pass one hard-coded Manager Number (9956) so that data will be displayed in MgrView .There is a value attribute for Manager number i.e ctx_mgrNo
in custom controller as well as in the view and mapping has been done .
I have also done the data binding correctly .
The code which i have written for hard coding is like this .
    wdThis.wdGetMgrCust.setctx_mgrNo("9956");
But it's not working . Even i have appended with the initial zeroes but still of no result .
I think the problem lies in my code only .Can you please suggest whether my code is correct or not .If you can give me the exact code then it will be very much useful for me .
    Thanks.

  • Lync Federation - Accept SIP Reverse Negotiation (SIP Invite without SDP)

    Hello,
Recently I tested a SIP Federation trunk between Lync Server 2013 and non-Lync Client.
In this scenario the Lync Client 2013 support SIP Reverse Negotiation, by other words if SIP Invite without SDP it's sent to Lync Client 2013 it will be accepted by any configuration option?
With the default settings seams that it's not supported with error reason "Error parsing body"

    Regards,
    Claudio

    Hello All,
After some analysis I got the following conclusions.
Lync PC Client doesn't accept initial Invite without SDP ( Delayed Offer ).
However our goal was to test the SIP Reverse Media Negotiation mechanism, so we sent initially a dummy SDP for the initial invite and after the connect send a SIP INVITE without SDP and for my surprise the Lync Client accepted and sent his own SDP on the
200 OK and we sent the new SDP offer in the ACK.
However the result was no Audio, and Lync Client kept sending the Audio to the initial INVITE SDP and ignored the new SDP offered in the ACK message.
So my conclusion it's that LYNC Client doesn't support SIP Reverse Media Negotiation (Delayed Offer) at all since it ignores the new SDP offered in the ACK message for the mid call media renegotiation attempt with SIP INVITE without SDP.

  • Pole zero

I need to calculate IIR filter coefficients to be used in Labview starting from s-domain num/den  transfer functions. The filters I need are really a lot.
I have the Digital Filter Design toolikit, but it accepts only Zero-poles in z plane.
I also have the Control Design toolkit, that I'm using in order to convert my transfer functions from s-domain num/den to Zero-Pole discrete representation. Unfortunately results I get don't work at all (that is the filters designed are very different than expected).
Substantially I need to recreate the piece of software in matlab as follows.
Is there anyone who can help me?
    thanks in advance
    giovanni
    function y = myfilter(x,fs)
    % y output signal,
    % x input signal,
    % fs sampling frequency Hz
% bilinear transformation algorithm is used

    Hi,
try to see the following link: DSP Laboratory: IIR Filter Design via the Bilinear Transformation
    http://cnx.rice.edu/content/m13039/latest/
I hope this can help you.
The bilinear function is an alghoritmic transormation native of matlab language, so it has been implemented in other languages.

  • Internal hard drive issue with Mac Pro

I work for two office that share information through a VPN. Each office has one Mac Pro being used as a server for data storage. The Pros have four internal hard drives (1TB each).
Hard drives in the Pro for OFFICE 1 were configured like so:
    HD1 - OS/Boot drive
    HD2 - Time Machine backup of HD1/DATA1/DATA2
    DATA1 - Data storage
    DATA2 - Data storage
Three weeks ago: Time Machine could not find HD2 and could not backup. I rebooted the machine and HD2 reappeared. However, after the reboot, DATA1 did not mount. I was unable to find DATA1 in Disk Utility. However, the drive could be accessed by all other Macs on the network. This machine was taken to the local Apple Store and we were told that HD2 was a bad drive and need to be replaced. We opted not to replaced the drive at this time and turned Time Machine backups off. We haven't had any problems with DATA1 since. (NOTE: During the weeks prior, the client machines intermittently lost connection with DATA1 and would have to reconnect)
Last week: OFFICE 2 - Mac Pro hard drives configured the same as OFFICE 1; however, HD2 was not used for TM backups. TM was turned on and set to backup HD1/DATA1/DATA2 to HD2 (exactly like OFFICE 1). The next day, TM could not find HD2 and backups stopped running. I rebooted the machine, HD2 reappeared, but we did not restart the TM backups.
Today: OFFICE 2 client machines have experienced intermittent disconnecting of DATA1.
I wasn't extremely concerned with the situation at OFFICE 1 as these Pros are almost five years old and in constant use. We plan on purchasing an external drive for the TM backups. HOWEVER, with a similar situation now being experienced in OFFICE 2, I am perplexed.
Could both machine be experiencing hard drive failures weeks apart? They were both purchased and installed at the same time.
Is there a known issue with TM and internal drives?
One difference between the two machines: OFFICE 1 is running OS X 10.8.5; OFFICE 2 runs 10.6.8
    Any suggestions/help is appreciated. Thanks!

Relying on TimeMachine has some issues, along with only having one, I use at least two swapping TimeMachine so that they rotate AND I clone every drive (volume actually) so I can swap drives if need be, especially useful for t he system but good for any drive.
Power issues in t he buildings?
There are some programs that will scan for and report and./or attempt to reassign a failing sector ("fail" is qualitative, is 10 write failures a fail? then the 9th is not but it is a "weak sector.") Some run in the background.
Mirror can be 2 or 3 ( I prefer 3, that way if one fails I STILL have a mirror array in place) where any failure is not acceptable, AND where the array data is backed up usually - less important  when using a three-drive configurations.
How old, when last initialized (zero), and is it showing spare blocks being used? that last is the most indicative of failed drive.
Rare but a bad SATA cable or power (seeing how the cables are tucked away) is only way generally for multiple failures in same drive bay or computer. Note: early on in 2006-7 there were reports of some customers having motherboard and trouble with a drive bay , and t he problems showed up early.
Often though it is NVRAM or SMC related issue trigged by something else, a USB cable or device that is faulty, even a PCIe controller that is the culprit. And replacing cable, keyboard, device, and resetting SMC and NVRAM (often NVRAM needed to be done multiple times, but never keep resetting SMC) - unplugged and when you connect back up, do not install anything other than system, keyboard and mouse and see if that helps.
With a drive, likely the drive in 85% or more, is fine, but the directory is not, or it needs to be erased to rebuild all the system partitions.
1TB is small for TimeMachine. 350% of the amount of data, and always have free space for a full backup set of all the data. T.M. will try and prefers to automatically backup any and everything plugged in and connected, rather than my preference which is ASK FIRST to add a drive to TM backup set, otherwise leave it out. 600GB of data and system would mean 2.5TB drive, maybe 2TB minimum.

  • Subscription (world wide) + call forwarding (malay...

About a month ago I signed up for WW unlimited calling. I work in Malaysia & live in Thailand. I WANTED to set up call forwarding to my malaysian landline so I could recieve calls. IT DOES NOT WORK. I have tried to find the answer (a viable answer) to this little snaffu. It would be nice if an answer were forthcoming from a real live breathing skype tech personnel. And yes, I've tried different combinations of using the area code, deleting the initial zero, keeping the initial zero, and all other combinations there of.

    stephannie1969 wrote:
Thanks ~ If I am calling my landline from another landline in the same city I use this: 324-XXXX. If I am calling from a mobile/cell or from outside the city on a landline, I use this: 04-324-XXXX.
Whether I use the 04, just the 4 or nothing, I do not get an error message from skype.
Ususally when calling internationally, the zero is dropped from the number I'm trying to reach.
Anyway, thanks for taking the time to answer. It's kind of you to do so when it's not your job.
where *does* one find a skype tech? hmmmmm
Are you also including the Malaysian country code +60 before the number in your Skype program/app?  You're correct in dropping the leading zero in the 04 area code, so you should be able to reach the number with +60 4 324 XXXX from Skype.  All calls to telephones from Skype must be dialed with a country code, even if you are in the same city or country as the phone number. Can you dial that number from your Skype program or app?  You should be able to get through, with the subscription you have, if that number is a landline number and not a mobile.
As for finding a tech, or someone from Skype's support group, you can get to them through the Support link near the top of this page.  If you have a subscription for calling phones, you can get to a live online chat with someone.  Or you can submit a ticket.  I don't mind answering questions, since Skype is a useful service.  Sometimes the online documentation could be clearer, or maybe rewritten by someone more fluent in a given language, but all in all I'm happy with Skype.  It saves me lots of $$$.

    Hi romanch,
defining the field catalog you must reference all currency fields to the respective currency key field (type CUKY).
    <alv_fieldcat>-cfieldname         = 'HWAER'.
This is sample for alv output of a currency field. The alv structure has a field HWAER which carries the currency key, e.g. USD or so.
Obviously you do not provide a cutrrency key for your values. If they are initial (zero), ALV will not display them as 0,00 but leave the field empty if the reference too currency key is not established.
If you define a DDIC structure for the ALV output this refernce is enforced. You can pass the DDIC structure name to the ALV and don not have to create the field catalog manually.
    Regards,
    Clemens

  • Can't print to Ricoh Laser AP2600 even after proper driver installed. Help?

Have a Ricoh Laser AP2600, and a new MacBook Pro with 10.6.3.
Connected the two with an Ethernet cable (the same Ethernet cable I've used successfully for years with this same printer -- it's the right cable). Turned printer on; "Ready to Print" it says.
At first just tried printing without making any downloads or installations, a simple TextEdit document, using the default "Generic Postscript Printer" as the selected printer "driver." Nothing happens -- the computer does not even seem to "recognize" that a printer is connected. Get the message "Connecting to printer..." and then "Unable to connect to printer; will retry in 30 seconds....", and it never succeeds.
Then I searched on the computer for a Ricoh Laser AP2600 driver that may have come with the 10.6.3 install: no such luck.
Then I found the page at the Ricoh site that supposedly has the proper driver:
    http://support.ricoh.com/bb/html/drute/ra/model/p26a/p26aen.htm#MacOS%20X%2010.6
    "MacOS X 10.6 PPD Installer Ver.1.3.0 24/04/2008"
Downloaded it, ran the installer, it was installed.
Went to the "Print and Fax" section of the System Preferences, then added the printer to the printer list by finding its IP address and manually entering it. Succeeded. Proper printer with an icon that looks exactly like my Ricoh Laser AP2600 added to the printer list. Selected it as my default printer. Closed Print SysPref dialog box.
Went back to random TextEdit document, tried printing again. My Ricoh Laser AP2600 appeared as the chosen printer, as hoped, and then I hit "Print," and the Printing Queue window opened. But once again, it was unable to connect to the printer.
Went back to the System Preferences printing pane, the Ricoh is listed on the left and has a green dot next to it, which supposedly indicates that it is OK and ready to print.
I went to Finder and the Library/Printers/PPDs/Contents/Resources to insure that the Ricoh Laser AP2600 PPD was there. It was definitely there, along with all alternate nearby variations ("AP2600 PS," "Aficio AP2600," etc.).
Tried printing again. No luck. Tried turning off printer and waiting for a few minutes, unplugged the cable, then turning it back on, replugging back in, printing again, no luck. Tried the same after re-choosing the generic printer driver, no luck. Tried the other kind of generic printer driver, no luck.
Help! This printer works GREAT when it works, and I don't want to have to buy a new one. It worked perfectly fine (and continues to work perfectly fine) when I connect to it with my old PowerBook running 10.4.11. Nothing's wrong with the printer, nor with my MacBook Pro -- all that is missing apparently is the right software or drivers or whatever to make it work.
    Any suggestions?

    Hooray!
Using your instructions, I finally got the computer to recognize and "ping" the existence of the printer. Once I got that far, it was easy enough to do what was my original goal, to set up a "printer" in the System Preference "Print & Fax" pane and successfully print a document, which I did.
One of the glitch-y final difficulties was that the printer has no way to make any IP address with fewer than 3 digits per field, so that I can't actually make it have the address "14.22.33.44," but rather it must necessarily be "014.022.033.044." While that may seem like a completely unimportant and dismissable detail to an expert such as yourself, to a networking newbie like me it throws one final dilemma in my way: Are the zeros "ignorable" or are they an essential part of the printer's IP? I tried setting the computer's IP with and without the zeros, and then pinging the printer with and without the zeros, and finally on the last configuration -- printer itself with zeros, computer without zeros, pinging of printer's IP without zeros -- the ping succeeded. A little counter-intuitive, but who am I to complain?
So, for the record, to help all the world's Ricoh printer owners out there, assuming this thread will forever be archived: here is a summary of...
*How to make a Ricoh Laser AP2600 work with a 2010-era Mac running Snow Leopard 10.6.3*:
Go to Ricoh's "printer driver" Web page at one of these two URLs:
    http://support.ricoh.com/bb/html/drute/ra/model/p26a/p26aen.htm
    or
    http://www.ricoh-usa.com/downloads/downloads.asp?tsn=Ricoh-USA&path=http://suppo rt.ricoh.com/bb/html/drute/rc2/model/p26L/p26Len.htm
...and click on "MacOS X 10.6 PPD Installer Ver.1.3.0".
Once downloaded, run the installer's "package" which will place the necessary Ricoh printer drivers in Finder>Library/Printers/PPDs/Contents/Resources (you can check to make sure, if you want.)
Turn on the Ricoh, connect it to your Mac with an Ethernet cable. On the Ricoh's little display/button area, press "Menu" and then using the "Up" and "Down" arrows buttons and the "Enter" and "Escape" buttons, scroll through its menus like so: Menu/Host Interface/Network Setup/IP Address until you find the IP address, which likely will be listed as 011.022.033.044. You can leave it as that or change it to anything else you want. But then go to Menu/Host Interface/Network Setup/(etc.) and scroll through the other options: Change "Subnet Mask" to 255.255.255.000, but make sure to leave all the other settings at 000.000.000.000. Escape back to the "Ready" state.
Turn of the Ricoh, wait a bit, and turn it back on, and scroll back to the IP Address and Subnet Mask to make sure the settings were "remembered." If they weren't for some reason, try again.
Then, on your Mac, go to "System Preferences> Network", click on "Ethernet" on the left column, and in the drop-down menu "Configure IPv4" choose "Manually." Then in the "IP Address" field type in whatever IP address you entered for the printer *but make the final number one digit higher*. Also, *leave off any initial zeros*. Thus, if you left the printer's IP at 011.022.033.044, then make your computer's IP be 11.22.33.45; and so on for any combination of numbers. In the "Subnet Mask" field, enter 255.255.255.0. Leave all the other fields blank. Click "Apply."
Then go to "Applications>Utilities>Network Utility," open the program, make sure the Ethernet cable is plugged in and the printer is on and the green "Ready" light is illuminated, and click on "Network Utility" "Ping" pane, and enter as the address to Ping your printer's IP address *lacking the initial zeros.* Thus, in our example, enter 11.22.33.44. Click the "Ping" button, and if the program shows pinging happening and a "0% packet loss," then you're connected. If not, go back to the beginning and try again, double-checking each step.
Once you have pinged successfully and are connected, go to System Preferences>Print & Fax, click on the "+" symbol under the list of printers to add a new printer. In the "Add Printer" window that pops up, leave it on "Line Printer Daemon - LPD" Protocol, and enter in to the "Address" line your printer's IP address, *leaving off any initial zeros*.
If the "Print Using" menu automatically detects and chooses "Ricoh Laser AP2600 PS" as the printer driver, then you're set to go; if not, and it remains on "Generic Postscript Printer Driver" or something similar, then in the drop-down menu choose "Select Printer Software" and scroll to near the bottom and choose the proper printer driver, presumably "Ricoh Laser AP2600 PS" (or whatever your exact model is). "Name" it whatever you want. Leave "Queue" and "Location" blank.
Click "Add" and your printer will appear in the list of printers in the "Print & Fax" panel. In the "Default Printer" drop-down menu, choose your new printer as the default. Close System Preferences.
That's it! You should be able to print now. Open a document, choose the "Print" command, check to make sure the Ricoh is the chosen printer in the print dialog box, and that everything is plugged in and turned on, then click "Print." Hopefully, the Ricoh will spit out your document in a second or two! If not, go back and go through the steps again. If it worked for me, it should work for you.
