Billing with Zero quantities:

Hi all,
I have some problem in billing. I have created few orders with some line item with zero quantities and some are with quanitties in the same order.
It has allowed me to save the order and also to deliver but not allowing me to bill / invoice, system throws the message " can't be billed order incomplete"......
I want to some how bill these and want to post for accounting also...
Thank you
Sushil Kumar

Dear Sishil,
As per the standard you can't  bill the item with zero quantity.
If you don't enter the quantity system will show that sales order as incompletion system will not allow you to create the delivery also but I don't know how you created delivery in this case.
If you want to bill that with out entering the quantity of the item then you need to remove the Field KWMENG Order Quantity from incompletion log of the Sales order item.
After removing the field  KWMENG Order Quantity from incompletion log of the Sales order item you need to create the sales then do the delivery then do the billing now system will accept with zero quatity of item.
I hope this will help you,
Regards,
Murali.

  • Billing with zero impact to Revenue side

    Hi Experts,
I need to get post a Financial entry through SD billing (VF01/VF02/VFX3) via SD-FI Interface without having a net impact to Revenue. In another way, Dr entry to the receivable (customer) and the contra entry to another GL accordng to the Account key defined under a respective Condition type of the SD pricing procedure But no impact to Revenue (ERL)
Could you please let me know if has any expert suggestion

    Hi Don
From what I understand from your request, I assume you are looking at posting an FI entry to any other G/ L account which will not impact the G/L with account key ERL or in other words will not change the revenue account.
Please note that whenever an invoice is posted to accounts, the system automatically posts the various prices  and discounts and freights to the respective G/L accounts through account keys. For example for base price it is ERL, for  discounts-ERS, for Output tax-MWS, for freight-ERF, etc.
Hence, you can get this entry by the following scenarios-
1)In a scenario where you have to give a volume discount to the customer at the end of a month/ quarter.
    2) For scenarios like Free of charge orders ie for Free of charge items (TANN Item category ) the net value of the Invoice document will be zero and Accounting document posting will happen for COPA /Profitability etc
    3) An expense invoice which is captured in another G/ L account through another account key( this could be a custom scenario)
    Thanks

  • Freight units / Deliveries with zero quantities in TPVS

    Hi Gurus,
we are prototyping TPVS  optimizer but facing one problem of zero quantity for freight units in Transfer orders  to OLTP / OLTP generation of deliveries.
Reason in the log says requested quantity not completely available but there is plenty of stock.
if we go ahead in TPVS and create delivery then delivery will have zero qty,  for the same sales order if we create delivery in ECC then there is no issue.
    Thanks,
    kumar

    Hi Rax,
Please check /sapapo/cp1 whether you have assigned the Publication type 340 for deliveries and 330 for shipments for the deliverying location (plant or DC) and logical system of R/3.
Please Check Interface settings assign R/3 logical system and shipment type for the Means of transport and the shipment will be outbound. Mapping of APO means of transport (Transportation resource) assigned to R/3 means of transport (Vehicle).
If these settings are fine then it should work.
    Please revert for query.
    I hope this helps you.

    Dear Simsasha,
    Could you please breif whether:
    1. Its Order-related-Billing, OR
    2. Delivery-Related Billing
If, Its Order-related-Billing, You need to work-around Copy-Control Setting in VTFA; and if,
Its Delivery Related-Billing, You need to work-around Copy Control settings in VTFL.
You need to write Code to check Quantity = 0, and attach the same within Field: Data VBRK/VBRP; to check and avoid Invoice creation, if Invoice-item has billed quantity as 0.
You may work with Program RV60AFZC USEREXIT_FILL_VBRK_VBRP
    Best Regards,
    Amit
Note: You may take help from the discussion from following thread:

I hope, this would definitely help you, some extent.

  • Down Payment with Zero VAT

I have a scenario where one of the customer has been billed with Zero VAT in the Downpayment request by taking Tax Code which involves No Tax and the VAT of the DP should now be calculated in the final Invoice along with the final payment (including the VAT of that final Invoice)
Any suggestions on how to tackle this?
    Regards,
    N

You can have one header condition through which the difference in VAT can be posted manually in the final invoice.  This header condition can be selected for statistical so that this will not have any impact in FI.  Meanwhile, your VAT condition can consider PR00 plus this header condition and as a text, you can populate that VAT is calculated on value xxxxxxx
Of course, you should check with your FI counterpart also on how to resolve this tax difference.

Is there anyone who can help me out...

When one is created with zero quantities it starts blocking our deliveries from getting through to fedex because deliveries will in doubt have been blocked at fedex. As we process our orders in morning and if there is an STO blocking orders, it will be in afternoon .

    Hi
Check if there is any summarization active for billing documents generated through SD. The path for the same is:
    IMG>Financial Acxounting>General Ledger Accounting>Integration>Sales & distribution
    Check for table VBRK

  • Excise invoice posted with Zero duty value

    Hi,
My client has an STO process where they will generate a proforma Invoice with Excise duties,
Initially when proforma was created excise duties were not reflecting since condition records were not maintained, user was not aware of that and created a excise invoice also with 0 Duty value.
After this condition records were maintained and invoice was updated with excise values. But we are unable to update the excise tables through the same excise invoice no. This transaction is a back dated one for which client has already filed excise returns with SAP Excise number series, Can we pass a JV through FI to adjust the entries or any other solution.
    Regards,
    Zehran.

Client has done PGI with ZERO quantity
          also done billing
if i go to cancel that cancel invoice in J1IIN
it is not allowing to cancel
If your copy control is in line with standard settings, first of all you cannot post the goods issue without any quantity and also generation of billing is not possible.
Coming to your second issue, please try in J1IH instead of J1IIN.
    thanks

  • Can Receivables Consolidated billing with AR Invoice installments ?

    Hi,
Can AR invoice installments functionality be used with Consolidated billing to generate the invoices for the customers? If so, how can it be done?
    Apps version 11.5.10.2
    Thanks!

    Hello.
    Tax Code on Invoice:
Allocate the net portion using the Expense/Revenue accounts specified by the tax code on the invoice. If Tax Source Code is set to None, allocate the gross amount to these accounts. You can only choose this option if the activity type is Adjustment, Earned Dis count, or Unearned Disc ount.
In the event of an adjustment to an invoice with zero amount revenue distributions, the adjustment activity's GL Account Source must not be set to Revenue on Invoice or Tax code on Invoice.

  • Outbound created with zero value against STO PO

    Hi experts,
I have created an outbound delivery (VL10D) against STO PO. OBD has been created with zero value. in PGI correct accounting entry is getting generated. However, material price is maintained in STO PO.
Please highlight the gaps, due to which amount in OBD is coming as zero. Subsequently, in billing document zero value is appearing.
    regards

probably something wrong in your price schema if you want copy the price from the STO, or you just missed to maintain the price conditions if you use special intercompany prices.
For details see OSS Note 338922 - Analysis note for cross-company transactions (delivery)
look at point 6 in this note.

  • Error :sap error:vf-171Does't contain any items with open quantities

    Dear sap Experts,
An Error coming while doing billing against to delivery as *"Does't contain any items with open quantities"  sap error:VF-171
i have checked status overview of order and its not blocked. give me hits regarding this issue.
    My advance thanks to all.
    Narendra

    Dear Narendra,
Need to check the VL02n for given shipping point , also if the said material shows is not available then you can even check MMBE, this report shows on order stock so you can remove this on order stock.
On order stock can be removed by using vl02n, put F4 in the outbound delivery field enter it. All open delivery list (not picked or not posted for goods issue will come)

While creating excise invoice for Exports in J1IIN , after selecting the Export button Excise values getting changed as zeros . ARE1  form coming with zero
    Any reason for that.

    Dear Jaffer,
i think you have to apply this user exit
    FUNCTION J_1I7_USEREXIT_DUTY_IN_EXPORT.
    ""Local Interface:
    *" IMPORTING
    *" REFERENCE(YVBRK) TYPE VBRK
    *" EXPORTING
    *" REFERENCE(SUPPRESS_CALCULATION) TYPE J_1IEXCHDR-STATUS
*If you do not want the excise duty to be calculated for a particular
*transaction then you need to mark the flag supress_calculation as 'X'
*This flag when left blank will trigger calculation of ED during j1ii
*When it is marked, the ED copied from billing will be left as it is
    SUPPRESS_CALCULATION = 'X'.
    ENDFUNCTION

  • Calls with zero duration are sent with 1/1/1970 timestamp

    Hello.
We are configuring billing on a third-party server for a hospitality projects.
All is fine so far. However we saw that calls with zero duration (such as missed calls, busy tones etc) are tagged with a wrong timestamp of 1/1/70.
Since we are passing this over to the hotel PMS, they are having trouble interpret it and often their interface crashes.
Has someone encountered any similar issue?
    Our System version: 9.1.1.20000-5

I only see the 1970 date in fields like Call Connection time. And for a missed/busy call, that's the best you can do as the call didn't connect, so the call can't have a connection time. Either the field has the 1970 date, or it has NULL in it. Either way, if your third party software can't cope with it, it's broken as this is all as per Cisco's spec.
The use of the 1970 date is (OK, a time of zero) is clearly documented
