Access from wireless client

I want to access an application built up using XSQL Pages with a wireless client (Nokia). How do I configure my server to recognize the MIME type?

I don't know exactly why it has that delay, but I think it's because if first tries to connect on the wrong network card, then after that times out tries the other one.
what you could try to solve this is the following:
first create an empty unconnected Socket using Socket().
then Socket.bind() that socket with a SocketAddress that points specifically to the correct card.
then connect to the server using Socket.connect()
again, I'm not sure this will work, but it might.

  • (AVC) Is there Any way to prioritize traffic from wireless client (laptop in my case) to AP

Is there any way to prioritize traffic from wireless client (laptop in my case) to AP …. if i explain the issue in a broad way there is no congestion going on in wired network. When multiple users connect to real presence and all share the same AP. they get real-time output over the call BUT if someone start file-transfer over the same AP the real presence call voice/video get stuck.
I applied the AVC feature on WLC but as i tested, i think prioritization from my laptop to AP will not happen and the situation remains same.
Please share if there is any way to prioritize traffic from wireless client (Laptop) to AP only ?

    Hi Vinod,
Here is the AVC & QoS interaction for upstream & downstream traffic. For downstream it is important you have configured your WLAN with correct QoS profile & 802.1p values as that play a role even though you marking traffic using AVC.
Upstream1. Packet comes with or without inner DSCP from wireless side (wireless client).2. AP will add DSCP in the CAPWAP header that is configured on WLAN (QoS based config).3. WLC will remove CAPWAP header.4. AVC module on the controller will overwrite the DSCP to the configured marked value in the AVC profile and send it out.Downstream 1. Packet comes from switch with or without inner DSCP wired side value.2. AVC module will overwrite the inner DSCP value.3. Controller will compare WLAN QoS configuration (as per 802.1p value that is actually 802.11e) with inner DSCP value that NBAR had overwritten. WLC will choose the lesser value and put it into CAPWAP header for DSCP.4. WLC will send out the packet to AP with QoS WLAN setting on the outer CAPWAP and AVC inner DSCP setting.5. AP strips the CAPWAP header and sends the packet on air with AVC DSCP setting; if AVC was not applied to an application then that application will adopt the QoS setting of the WLAN.
I am not sure which controller software version you are running. From AVC perspective, it is good if you could install latest NBAR protocol pack (4.1 for WLC 7.5.x code or 6.3 for WLC 7.6.x code) on your controller.
Here is the 7.5.x AVC deployment guide which should help you on this
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/wireless/controller/technotes/7.5/AVC_dg7point5.html
Like others mentioned, it is very little you can do with respect to upstream direction as AVC kicks in only when traffic hits WLC & not at the AP level.

  • WRT610N disconnects when transfering from wireless client to wired client

    based on reviews, I purchased a WRT610N.
Have it setup with wireless N to work with my two laptops, and also have a desktop connected to one of the gig ports.
Whenever I try to transfer any files (or access the desktop) from any of the wireless clients, the wireless radio part of the router seem to reboot itself every 5 to 10 seconds.
If I go from a wireless client to another wireless client, it works fine.  If I plug one of the laptops into one of the gig ports and transfer files to the desktop through the wired connection, it works fine.  But as soon as either laptop try to access the desktop through the wireless connection, the radio goes into a reboot cycle until I stop trying to access the desktop.
Router has latest firmware.  the two laptops has a Intel 5300 and intel 4965AGN card, both running windows 7, desktop is also running windows 7.
Used to be able to do this with a WRT150n without any issues,  upgraded to the WRT610N for the gig port speed, but now this issue.
    appreciate any assistance.

Ok I disabled IPV6 and now it will go about a minute of transferring files before the wireless dies.
    AP Isolation is disabled.
Even tried from within the same room, direct line of sight from the laptop to the Router, about 5 to 7 feet away.  Computer shows wireless signal at full strength.
I don't think it's the wireless cards in the laptops because I used the exact same setup with a WRT150N and WRT54GR  and both work fine (although slower).
Just as a sanity check, I put the WRT150N back in last night and tested it,  it would let me transfer files all night long without disconnecting.

  • Airport Utility Timed Access Control does not allow/restrict access to wireless clients per the time set.

I have been trying to setup Timed Access Control in Airport Utility and it does not seem to be working correctly.
In Airport Utility from Edit Timed Access Control I Enter a name for my device (iPad/iPhone any device), enter my mac address, set time for Everyday and use default Between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM, save and then update. When I go to my device iPad iPhone etc. I still have access even when it is after the time set, 5:00PM.  If I set no access it will restrict access also I set a time between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM and access was restricted.  It doesnt seem to matter what the device is.  I know that the MAC Adress is set correctly.  It seems like an issue with the Utility, possibly time miss match or something.  Not sure if I am missing something or if this Utility just has flaws. Please Help.

I changed the default to (no access) and set an entry for my test device (an iPad) to "Everyday Between 9am to 5pm.  The iPad was still able to gain access to the network.
Something else to note, if I try to edit the time of an entry it gives me an error on my MBP "Invalid value", "The value for “Timed Access Control” is invalid."  This happens even if I delete a digit (number or letter in the time field) and replace with the exact same. Not sure if the two are related. I have tried to edit access from my iPad.  I don't get any errors but I still don't get the expected results.  I called Apple to try and get Tech support but they were not much help. Thanks again.

  • EJB access from C++ client / Failover+LoadBalancing

We are accessing an EJB from VisiBroker for C++. The EJB is deployed in a WLS cluster.
Trying to achieve something like 'failover', we discovered that VisiBroker supports
multiloc addresses, so we are able to start our client as follows:
    ./client -ORBInitRef NameService=corbaloc::server1:8001,:server2:8002/NameService
As a result, server2 is only used when NameService of server1 is not available.
After connecting to a distinct NameService in a cluster, all further IIOP calls
are routed to this cluster server only. If the server shuts down, a new NameService
connection has to be made to get access to the other server and its objects.
    Is this correct so far?
For the idea of 'load balancing' our EJB accesses, we didn't find a solution -
so it seems that this is completely impossible or is there any trick we could
    use?
    Thanks for your help

  • No email access from Mail clients or iPad

I have been using the same email account for years with no issues.
I can access email through web browser, and can even forward e-mails to my blackberry.
Mac Mail, Mac Outlook, IPAD thunderbird etc. Can no longer access my Verizon yahoo email account. I have tried every suggestion to date. Tried every port combination suggested with SSL on and off. Deleted all accounts and started from scratch.. Reset IPAD from scratch.  The last email I received through Mail was Feb. 3. Downloaded the automated program which didn't work, I tried online chat  with Verizon tech, but they claimed that since I could still access email through the web, its an Apple software issue. The Apple store is blaming Verizon for not providing the appropriate port info etc to access. And truthfully, with all of the information on the Verizon website to set up mail client software, there is no set of rules that seems to apply.
On this message board it states verizon.net, or the webpage doesn't exist. On other pages it suggests yahoo.verizon.net. Fios comes up with different info from DSL, and old port info (25) is still out there
It seems there is no solution, just hit or miss  attempts. As Apple marketshare increases, the support provided is somehow getting to be less than it already was.

  • WRT54GL unable to access wired shares or printer on PC from wireless iMac

The subject line applies to a new router on which I can access the internet ok both from the wired PC and the wireless iMac.
The problem is this router is unable to access the PC shares or printer from the iMac. Pls note, "this router"!
I have an identical WRT54GL v1.1, same firmware, setup is identical on both, one works with no problem, but the new one has the above problem..
I have spent a day on it and its in line for return on Monday, but I still hope for a miracle tip which may sort it out :-)
On the good one 'Port scan' of the PC from iMac gives me:
    Port Scan has started ...
    Port Scanning host: 192.168.1.100
    Open TCP Port: 139
    Open TCP Port: 445
while the faulty one gives me:
    Port Scan has started ...
    Port Scanning host: 192.168.1.100
    ..and thats it! No contact.
Yes, the router is set up for 'Lan & Wireless' (no way to change that setting to 'WAN only' it seems, it bounces back to 'Lan & Wireless')
I have btw done a Factory Reset on it (twice) with no joy.
    Any ideas anyone?
    Mvh

My first guess for this kind of problem would be a software firewall on the computer. The firewall will detect where it is connected and configures the settings depending on the location. Two routers are two different "locations". Try turning off the firewall or even better deinstall it as often some parts of those software firewalls are still active when turned off.
The only option that does affect access of wireless clients to the LAN is the "AP Isolation" option on the "Advanced Wireless Settings". That should be off.
Another thing you could try if you like: do a configuration backup on the working router and restore it to the faulty one. Maybe there are some settings that don't match and that you cannot configure through the web interface. Have you ever used a 3rd party firmware on either of the routers?

  • 4404 wireless lan controller managment via wireless clients

I am having an issue managing a 4404 wireless lan controller via wireless clients.
I have checked the box "enable controller management to be accessible from wireless clients" under management. For some reason that does not seem to fix the problem (page cannot be displayed). I cannot ping the controller by IP but other devices on the same subnet respond. Everything else works fine.
I CAN manage the controller when plugged in a wired connection.
When I do a route print it is identical wireless or wired. The route simple points to my interface. If I modify the route on my computer to actually point to our gateway instead of the interface then everything works. But why should I have to do this only for my wireless connection and not my wired to manage this box?

Thanks for the info. I narrowed the problem down to an ARP issue.
In order for me to connect to the controller, I run a batch file that creates a static ARP entry on my laptop. I don't have to do this for any other device except the controller. Not sure what the underlying cause is, but that works as a workaround right now.

  • Is it possible to to disconnect 2 wireless clients from my wireless network without access to the clients i.e. 2 iPads?

Is it possible to disconnect 2 wireless clients from my network if I do not have access to the clients? ie 2 iPads.

You would have to set up Timed Access for each device.
This consists of specifying the amount of time each day that wireless devices will be allowed to connect to the network. You must provide a MAC or hardware address for each device, which is a long code that might look something like this, for example......A1-B2-C3-D4-E5-F6....and then specify the hours each day that this device is allowed to connect to the wireless network.
You have to do this for each device, which is tedious. Devices that are not on the Access List cannot connect to the network at any time.

  • Wireless Client Authentication issues when roaming Access Points (Local)

I have a Cisco 5508 with Software version 7.4.121.0 and Field Recovery 7.6.101.1.
There are a handful of clients that when roaming between AP's with the same SSID that get an authentication issue and have to restart the wireless to get back on.
    From Cisco ISE
    Event
    5400 Authentication failed
    Failure Reason
11514 Unexpectedly received empty TLS message; treating as a rejection by the client
    Resolution
Ensure that the client's supplicant does not have any known compatibility issues and that it is properly configured. Also ensure that the ISE server certificate is trusted by the client, by configuring the supplicant with the CA certificate that signed the ISE server certificate. It is strongly recommended to not disable the server certificate validation on the client!
    Root cause
While trying to negotiate a TLS handshake with the client, ISE expected to receive a non-empty TLS message or TLS alert message, but instead received an empty TLS message. This could be due to an inconformity in the implementation of the protocol between ISE and the supplicant. For example, it is a known issue that the XP supplicant sends an empty TLS message instead of a non-empty TLS alert message. It might also involve the supplicant not trusting the ISE server certificate for some reason. ISE treated the unexpected message as a sign that the client rejected the tunnel establishment.
I am having a hard time figuring out what is causing this. My assumption is if there were a problem with the Controller or AP configurations then it would happen to everyone. My further assumption is if the client had a problem with their laptop (windows 7) then why does work at other times? So I have checked and the ISE certificate is trusted by client.
Is something happening that the previous access point is holding on to the mac and the return authentication traffic is going to the old AP instead of the new one or something like that which is corrupting the data?
I also had this from Splunk for the same client:
    Mar 5 13:44:51 usstlz-piseps01 CISE_Failed_Attempts 0014809622 1 0 2015-03-05 13:44:51.952 +00:00 0865003824 5435 NOTICE RADIUS: NAS conducted several failed authentications of the same scenario
FailureReason="12929 NAS sends RADIUS accounting update messages too frequently"
Any help on this would be appreciated. These error messages give me an idea but doesn't give me the exact answer to why the problem occurred and what needs to be done to fix it.
    Thanks

  • Accessing the same stateful session bean from multiple clients in a clustered environment

I am trying to access the same stateful session bean from multiple
clients. I also want this bean to have failover support so we want to
deploy it in a cluster. The following description is how we have tried
to solve this problem, but it does not seem to be working. Any
              insight would be greatly appreciated!
I have set up a cluster of three servers. I deployed a stateful
session bean with in memory replication across the cluster. A client
obtains a reference to an instance of one of these beans to handle a
request. Subsequent requests will have to use the same bean and could
come from various clients. So after using the bean the first client
stores the handle to the bean (actually the replica aware stub) to be
used by other clients to be able to obtain the bean. When another
client retrieves the handle gets the replica aware stub and makes a
call to the bean the request seems to unpredictably go to any of the
three servers rather than the primary server hosting that bean. If the
call goes to the primary server everything seems to work fine the
session data is available and it gets backed up on the secondary
server. If it happens to go to the secondary server a bean that has
the correct session data services the request but gives the error
<Failed to update the secondary copy of a stateful session bean from
              home:ejb20-statefulSession-TraderHome>. Then any subsequent requests
to the primary server will not reflect changes made on the secondary
and vice versa. If the request happens to go to the third server that
is not hosting an instance of that bean then the client receives an
error that the bean was not available. From my understanding I thought
the replica aware stub would know which server is the primary host for
that bean and send the request there.
              Thanks in advance,
              Justin

    Hello All,

correct credential but unable to access that. If i re-share the folder then we are access it but when we are restarted the system then same problem is occurring.
I have checked IP,DNS,Gateway and more each & everything is well.

    Hi,
According to your description, my understanding is that the same shared folder can be accessed by name, but can’t be accessed be IP address and asks for credentials.
Please try to enable the option below on the device which has shared folder:
Besides, check the Advanced Shring settings of shared folder and confrim that if there is any limitation settings.
    Best Regards,
    Eve Wang

    Hi
You are missing some critical jar files in your class path. It should be namingclient.jar, also please or something similar that is missing in classpath.

  • Wireless clients unable to access internet on new WRT54G - Help!

I have multiple wireless clients that cannot access the internet. They all get valid IP addressing. I can ping the router. But I can't access anything on the internet. I just setup this router and I do this sort of stuff for a living and I give up. It shouldn't be this difficult. Two of the clients are Vista and the other is XP. Again, the connection to the router is perfect. I just can't access anything beyond the router. The single wired client works fine. Help!

Thanks... I've tried that. All of these hosts were actually working just fine with my old DLink router, but that router died over the weekend, so I replaced it with the Linksys. For the life of me, I can't see any reason why these hosts can't route out to the internet.
