Accessing internal table ACCIT

Hi Experts,
I am currently working on a substitution exit to substitute cost center in FI line item.
The problem is that the data will only be available when the document is completed, so I put the substitution in complete document level.
Does anyone know whether it is still possible to perform substitution at this level? Since it is necessary for us to perform this substitution.
Many thanks for your kind reply,
Fandi.

A few added information,
My colleague told me that it is possible to do this, but the substitution must be performed to internal table ACCIT which is the accounting posting interface internal table.
How can this be done? As the structure is not recognized in the substitution.
Thanks,
Fandi.

  • Accessing internal tables at runtime.

    Hi all,
    I am writing a code where in i have to transfer data from excel to database table.
    Iam getting the excel data in an itab. Can anybody help me with how to access internal tables at runtime ?
    i am using the following code with sy-tabix. here, when the sy-tabix is odd it picks up the value,
    but i want that within the same loop when i increment sy-tabix by 1, then it should fetch the second column of same row. But its not working as it shows an error that it does not permit subfield access.
    the code is as follows:
    LOOP AT t_tab[] into wa_tab .
      data: l_tabix type sy-tabix,
            name_index type sy-tabix.
            data: c type i.
            l_tabix = sy-tabix.
            name_index = l_tabix+1.
            c = ( l_tabix mod 2 ).
    ******to check if sy-tabix is odd**********
           if c ne 0.
             READ TABLE t_tab into wa_tab index l_tabix.
             wa_product1-product = wa_tab-VALUE.
    ************incrementing sy-tabix*************
             READ TABLE t_tab into wa_tab index name_index. (here it shows error)
             wa_product1-product_name = wa_tab-value.
           endif.
      endloop.
    Thanks in advance.

  • How to access internal table data from webdynpro to Flex application.

    Hi Connoisseur
    The data transfer from Abap WebDeypro to flex island works well. I followed , there is an example from Thomas Jung (by the way as always Great Work) and  Karthikeyan Venkatesan (Infosys) but this example covers simple type only.
    There is no example with complex types like arrayCollection which handle the transfer of data from flex to WebDynpro.
    i tried to do pass internal table value  to flex-datagrid.but its not work.
    i would like to know
    1.how to access internal table data from webdynpro to Flex application.
    2.how to pass the internal table to flex-datagrid.
    2.how to pass dynamically in ADOBE flex.
    3. how to do Flex is receiving the wd context data?

  • Accessing internal table of main program inside function module...

    I have function module say ZFUNC and main program say ZMAIN and internal table defined as IT_TAB inside ZMAIN but not passed as parameter to Function module ZFUNC.
    If I want to access the field value of IT_TAB of  main program ZMAIN inside ZFUNC during debugging then, I simply put <b>(ZMAIN)IT_TAB-amount</b> in ABAP debugger and then change it when the debugger is inside ZFUNC.
    How can I write code to change the value of internal table of main program in function module ZFUNC instead of doing in debugger ? I guess I have to use some field symbols, but not sure. Please suggest.
    Regards,
    Rajesh.

    Yes, you do need to use a field symbol.  Say for example, you had a internal table called IMARC in your program and you want to access it later in a funciton module, you would do something like this.
      data: xmarc type marc.
      field-symbols: <imarc> type marc_upl_tt.
    * Assign an internal table
      field = '(ZPROGRAM_NAME)IMARC[]'.
      assign (field) to <imarc>.
      loop at <imarc> into xmarc.
        write: / xmarc-matnr, xmarc-werks.
      endloop.

  • Accessing internal table declared outside of BAdI  implementation

    I am working on a BAdI implementation and within the BAdI, I need to manipulate the data of an internal table that is declared in the calling routine.  This internal table is not a parameter to the BAdI call.  I am wondering is there a way to access the internal table that is not recognized by the BAdI implementation?  If so, what's the syntax to do this?
    I know in debug mode, I am able to access the content of the internal table by using (Program)Itab.  But I get a syntax error when accessing the internal table using (Program)Itab syntax.
    Any help is appreciated!

    Thanks, Max.
    I tried your method, but I am getting a short dump due to type conflict.  I think it's because the internal table I'd like to access is declared using the following syntax:
    data: begin of itab occurs 0,
          end of itab.
    Therefore, when processing the assign statement, the field-symbol is being treated as a structure...
    I tried to change the field-symbol type to any, but after that, I can't modify the table content using loop at type of syntax..
    Do you have any other suggestions?
    Thanks very much!

  • How to access internal table

    Hi Experts,
    I have moved values from node with attributes in context to an internal table using
    node_output_4->GET_STATIC_ATTRIBUTES_TABLE(
    importing
    table = itab
    Now the neccessary values are in itab (internal table).I want to check the itab-id with item_code(user input).
    I want to access the itab.Plz guide me.

    Hi Ramanan,
    With header line statement is not avilable in OO concepts.
    So you can use the Node of the context.
    If you are read your node means it will automatically generate the code.
    In the code it will automatically declares the wa for your context.
    generally it looks like,
    DATA:
          node_znode2                         TYPE REF TO if_wd_context_node,
          elem_znode2                         TYPE REF TO if_wd_context_element,
          stru_znode2                         TYPE if_view1=>element_znode2 .
    From the above code stru_znode2 is the WA.
    Then you can define your own Itab based on this structure.
    DATA : itab like table of stru_znode2.
    Thanks.

  • How to access a table of SAP standard SAP method from external program

    Hi Friends,
    I have to access a table and modified it defined in a standard SAP method (PROCESS_INPUT_FILTER) of class (CL_HANDLE_MM).
    As we normaly do it in case of Standard program
    for example: ('(SAPLMEPO)ett[]') here we are accessing internal table ett defined in SAPLMEPO.
    so how we can do the same thing if some thing defined in standard SAP method.
    Pl. help.

    Thanks for the info guys, it will come in handy.
    I need to validate that a number is entered with zero or one decimal place, then make sure it is evenly
    divisible by .5 in order to test for whole or half numbers only. If not, I use an alert to
    display a message when the user leaves the field.
    If there is a better way to achieve this, I am all ears!
    Thank you for your time,

  • Regarding Internal table and access performance

    hey guys.
    In my report , Somehow i reduced the query performance time by selecting minimum key fields and moved the selected records to internal table.
    Now from this internal table i am restricting the loop
    as per my requirements using where statements.(believing that internal table retrieval is more faster than database acces(using query)).
    But still my performance goes down.
    Could you pls suggest me how to reduce the execution time
    in abap programming.
    I used below commands.
    Read using binary search.
    loop ...where statement.
    perform statements.
    collect staements.
    delete itab.(delete duplicates staements too)
    sort itab(sorting).
    For each above statements do we have any faster way to retrieval records.
    If i see my bottle neck at se30.it shows
    ABAP programming to 70 percent
    database access to 20 percent
    R3 system as 10percent.
    now how to reduce this abap process.
    could you pls reply.
    ambichan.
    ambichan.

    Hello Ambichan,
    It is difficult to suggest the improvements without looking at the actual code that you are running. However, I can give you some general information.
    1. READ using the BINARY SEARCH addition.
    This is indeed a good way of doing a READ. But have you made sure that the internal table is <i>sorted by the required fields</i> before you use this statement ?
    2. LOOP...WHERE statement.
    This is also a good way to avoid looping through unnecessary entries. But further improvement can certainly be achieved if you use FIELD-SYMBOLS.
    LOOP AT ITAB INTO <FIELD_SYMBOL_OF_THE_SAME_LINE-TYPE_AS_ITAB>.
    ENDLOOP.
    3. PERFORM statements.
    A perform statement can not be optimized. what matters is the code that you write inside the FORM (or a subroutine).
    4. COLLECT statements.
    I trust you have used the COLLECT statement to simplify the logic. Let that be as it is. The code is more readable and elegant.
    The COLLECT statement is somewhat performance intensive. It takes more time with a normal internal table (STANDARD). See if you can use an internal table of type  SORTED. Even better, you can use a HASHED internal table.
    5. DELETE itab.(delete duplicates staements too)
    If you are making sure that you are deleting several entries based on a condition, then this should be okay. You cannot avoid using the DELETE statement if your functionality requires you to do so.
    Also, before deleting the DUPLICATES, ensure that the internal table is sorted.
    6. SORT statement.
    It depends on how many entries there are in the internal table. If you are using most of the above points on the same internal table, then it is better that you define your internal table to be of type SORTED. That way, inserting entries will take a little more time (to ensure that the table is always sorted), but alll the other operations are going to be much faster.
    Get back to me if you need further assistance.

    Hi there,
    We have just upgraded from R/3 4.7 to ECC 6.0. After the upgarde we face many "Internal error when accessing a table" in sm58. • Creating MS- Access data base from the Internal tables data of an ABAP Prog

    Hi,
    I have a requirement where I have to create Access tables from the Internal tables of ABAP program.
    The tables are like Project systems Header data, WBS elements data, Netwrok data, Activity data, Milestone data and Project revunes. I will have the internal tables for these. I want to transfer these tables data into MS-Access tables onto Users desktop.
    Please adivce me how to do this.
    Thanks,
    Prabhakar

    HI,
    I am trying to create a DB table in the access but I am not successful. The following is the format of the table needs to be created from the ABAP program.
    I have created a table with the following format in MS-Access with the name tblHeader. Is it neccessary to create a DB table ( MS-Access) in advance or by using the FM  STRUCTURE_EXPORT_ TO_MSACCESS  we need to create a structure in MS-Access?
    False tblHeader
    Field Name Type Length
    ProjectDef Text 255
    ProjectDes Text 255
    Created Text 50
    Change Text 50
    RespPerson Text 255
    Profile Text 255
    Plant Text 255
    ObjNo Text 255
    OverheadKey Text 255
    I have created a Z table ZTAB1 with the same format from the SAP fields.
    MS-Access Table name : tblHeader
    ABAP program Internal table : t_tblheader
    Z table Name : ZTAB1.
    First I am trying to create a structure in MS-Access with the following FM.
    CALL FUNCTION 'STRUCTURE_EXPORT_ TO_MSACCESS'
    EXPORTING
    dbname = 'D:\test\db2'
    LANGU = SY-LANGU
    dest = 'PS_ACCESS_1'
    TABLES
    tabname = ttblheader
    EXCEPTIONS
    system_failure = 1
    comm_failure = 2
    OTHERS = 3
    Table ttblheader type is DFIES and I am filling the table with only one record and one field i.e TABNAME and the value is ZTAB1.
    The source code of the FM is using another FM
    CALL FUNCTION 'MSACCESS_STRUCT_ EXPORT_RFC' DESTINATION DEST
    Here I am getting the Error message Object required. I can't able to create a table structure in MS-Access.
    Next I am going to Use the FM
    'TABLE_EXPORT_ TO_MSACCESS'
    and it will create the records in the MS-access table.
    CALL FUNCTION 'TABLE_EXPORT_ TO_MSACCESS'
    EXPORTING
    dbname = 'D:\test\db2'
    langu = sy-langu
    dest = 'PS_ACCESS_2'
    tabname = 'ZTAB1'
    reftable = 'tblheader'
    FLG_NO_DOWNLOAD = ' '
    FLG_APPEND = ' '
    FLG_POPUP = ' '
    TABLES
    dtab = t_tblheader
    here t_tblheader is the internal table.
    Reftable = tblheader is the table which i have created in advance. ( not by using the First FM)
    In this FM i am getting a error message : Unable to connect to Database D:\test\db2.
    Please help me how to create the MS-Access database.

  • Internal Table ! Accessing Issue!

    Hello Guys!

       Sorted, Hashed, Standard
    For accesing itab uses,

       Hashed-----> Hash Algorithm
       Can u pls tell me what is linear search, binary search, hash algorithm?

    TABKIND - Internal Table Types
    Alternatives:
    1. STANDARD TABLE
    2. SORTED   TABLE
    3. HASHED   TABLE
    4. INDEX    TABLE
    5. ANY      TABLE
    Effect
    The table type - set in the DATA, TYPES, orCREATE DATA statement, specifies how the system accesses entries in the internal table in generic key operations.
    (READ TABLE itab, DELETE TABLE itab, INSERT TABLE itab, MODIFY TABLE itab, COLLECT itab). As a general rule, the runtime required for key operations depends on the total length of the key.
    The various table types have the following hierarchy:
                             ANY TABLE
                                 |
                       |                   |
                   INDEX TABLE      HASHED TABLE
                       |
             |                   |
        STANDARD TABLE      SORTED TABLE
    Alternative 1
    STANDARD TABLE
    Effect
    Defines the table as a standard table. Key access to a standard table uses a linear search. This means that the timne required for a search is in linear relation to the number of table entries.
    You should use index operations to access standard tables.
    For the sake of compatibility, you can use TABLE as a synonym of STANDARD TABLE.
    Alternative 2
    SORTED TABLE
    Effect
    Defines the table as one that is always saved correctly sorted. Key access to a sorted table uses a binary key. If the key is not unique, the system takes the entry with the lowest index. The runtime required for key access is logarithmically related to the number of table entries.
    You can also access sorted tables by index operations. When you insert using an index, the system checks to ensure that the sort sequence has been correctly maintained. For this reason, it takes longer than inserting entries in a standard table. As a rule, you should only access sorted tables using their key.
    Alternative 3
    HASHED TABLE
    Effect
    Defines the table as one that is managed with an internal hash procedure. You can imagine a hashed table as a set, whose elements you can address using their unique key. Unlike standard and sorted tables, you cannot access hash tables using an index. All entries in the table must have a unique key. Access time using the key is constant, regardless of the number of table entries.
    You can only access a hashed table using the generic key operations or other generic operations ( SORT, LOOP, and so on). Explicit or implicit index operations (such as LOOP ... FROM oe INSERT itab within a LOOP) are not allowed.
    Alternative 4
    INDEX TABLE
    Effect
    Standard and sorted tables belong to the generic class index tables. An index table is one that you can access using an index. You can currently only use the table type INDEX TABLE to specify the type of generic parameters in a FORM or a FUNCTION. Hashed tables are not index tables, and cannot therefore be passed to parameters defined as INDEX TABLE.
    Alternative 5
    ANY TABLE
    Effect
    Like INDEX TABLE, you use ANY TABLE to specify the type of any generic table parameter. The set of permitted operations for a table with type ANY TABLE consists of the intersection of all permitted operations for STANDARD, SORTED and HASHED TABLEs, and so is identical to the set of operations permitted for hashed tables.
    Note in particular that you cannot use index access for tables with this type.

  • Accessing Dynamic Internal table fields

    Hello All,
    I have one internal table ep_tabx having 138 columns whose data is getting displayed
    by using function module reuse_alv_grid_display.
    Now my query is, i have created one custom button on the appl toolbar to download ep_tabx data.
    IF the user changes the the layout of the output at runtime and then presses that custom button
    then i have created one dynamic internal table using call method cl_alv_table_create=>create_dynamic_table suppose <dyn_table> whose struc will be that of
    dynamic fieldcatalog returned by using FM REUSE_ALV_GRID_LAYOUT_INFO_GET.
    And then I have put a loop on the int table ep_tabx and move corresponding to the int table
    <dyn_table>. But when i download the <dyn_table> data through GUI_DOWNLOAD the
    date fields data is not getting downloaded correctly. I have 4 date fields in my ep_tabx.
    In the alv grid output the date is getting displayed like 08/30/2004(ie mon/date/yr) but in download
    file it comes like 20040830(ie yr/mon/date and that too without /).How to access the dynamic
    internal tables fields separately so asto convert them in the pgm before the download.
    Kindly Help.
    Thanks in advance.
    Mansi

    Hi,
    Search in SDN you would get loads of info on accessing dynamic itab's .
    in order to convert your date format use WRITE stmt to convert the value in your itab before passing it to download FM.

    I woulkd like to know if there is any way to identify the fields of an internal table at runtime. I'm creating a method in a class, and i would like to accept any itab as a paramter and then access the fields of that itab. I currently have the itab passing no problem using field symbols, and i am able to loop at the data, but i am unsure how to get the field names.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks!

    Hi,
    Check the code below:
    REPORT ZYKTEST3 .
    DATA: d_ref TYPE REF TO data,
    d_ref2 TYPE REF TO data,
    i_alv_cat TYPE TABLE OF lvc_s_fcat,
    ls_alv_cat LIKE LINE OF i_alv_cat.
    TYPES: tabname LIKE dcobjdef-name ,
    fieldname LIKE dcobjdef-name,
    desc LIKE dntab-fieldtext.
    PARAMETER: p_tablen TYPE tabname. -
    > Input table field
    DATA: BEGIN OF itab OCCURS 0.
    INCLUDE STRUCTURE dntab.
    DATA: END OF itab.
    FIELD-SYMBOLS : <f_fs> TYPE table,
    <f_fs1> TYPE table,
    <f_fs2> TYPE ANY,
    <f_fs3> TYPE ANY,
    <f_fs4> type any,
    <f_field> TYPE ANY.
    REFRESH itab.
    CALL FUNCTION 'NAMETAB_GET' -
    > Fetches the fields
    EXPORTING
    langu = sy-langu
    tabname = p_tablen
    TABLES
    nametab = itab
    EXCEPTIONS
    no_texts_found = 1.
    LOOP AT itab .
    ls_alv_cat-fieldname = itab-fieldname.
    ls_alv_cat-ref_table = p_tablen.
    ls_alv_cat-ref_field = itab-fieldname.
    ls_alv_cat-seltext = itab-fieldtext.
    ls_alv_cat-reptext = itab-fieldtext.
    APPEND ls_alv_cat TO i_alv_cat.
    ENDLOOP.
    internal table build
    CALL METHOD cl_alv_table_create=>create_dynamic_table
    EXPORTING
    it_fieldcatalog = i_alv_cat
    IMPORTING
    ep_table = d_ref.
    ASSIGN d_ref->* TO <f_fs>. -
    > Dynamic table creation with fields of the table
    DATA: l_field TYPE fieldname,
    l_field1 type fieldname.
    SELECT * FROM (p_tablen) INTO CORRESPONDING FIELDS OF TABLE <f_fs>.
    Fetching of the data from the table
    LOOP AT <f_fs> ASSIGNING <f_fs2>.
    Here u can check the validations and process
    ASSIGN COMPONENT 2 OF STRUCTURE <f_fs2> TO <f_fs3>.
    ASSIGN COMPONENT 3 OF STRUCTURE <f_fs2> TO <f_fs4>.
    IF sy-subrc = 0.
    MOVE <f_fs3> TO l_field.
    MOVE <f_fs4> TO l_field1.
    WRITE:/1 l_field(20),
    22 l_field1(10).
    ENDIF.
    ENDLOOP.
