Accesssing Mailboxes,Mail Information from Microsoft Exchange

Hi,
I want to know how we can access the mailbox information and information of a particular mail like messagebody, headers from Microsoft Exchange using JNDI. Any body who knows let me know whether it is possible and if yes how to achieve this.
I already can able to get user information and exchange configuration.
Waiting for a quick reply.
Thanks.

I want to assume you are talking about reading a Mailbox information(Attributes) from Microsoft Exchange using JNDI.
If this is what you mean, I say it is very possible.
The JNDI Tutorial will help you out. These are the step u will need to take.
1. Define a collection item you will use to hold your exchange server information and provider information. The Hashtable component is mostly used.
2. Create an intance of your Exchange Server context.
3. You can then do a search for the mailbox recipient in the context server.
4. you can then begin read the mailbox attribute from the Attibute object you had search for in step 3 above.
You should please use look thru the JNDI Tutorial topic Naming and Directory.

  • Cannot open your default e-mail folder. Microsoft Exchange is not available. Either there are network problems or the Exchange computer is down for maintenance

  • Need to send mail from Microsoft Exchange 2007 account(different from Gmail) on behalf of another Gmail ID. How to configure that ?

I have a Gmail ID (e.g [email protected])
I have a Exchange ID (e.g  [email protected])
I need to configure exchange account (2007)  such that I can send a mail from my Exchange account but at the receiver end it looks like it was sent from  ([email protected]).
Both the accounts are my accounts.
I need this because I do not have access to my Gmail account from place where I access the internet and I need to send the mails from my Gmail account only.

So you want to spoof your e-mail address.
You can make your Exchange server send as any address you want.  Just create a different mailbox with that address as the primary (reply) address.  It has to be a different account.
However, be aware that many systems to which you send such mail to will bounce it as suspected spam because they'll detect that your server is sending mail from Gmail but your server is not Gmail.

The steps can be like this. There are various approached available and this can be a general approach
    1. Install and configure the Exchange 2013
    2. Export the current mailboxes to pst
    3. Create the current domains as accepted domain in Exchange
    4. Change DNS and direct email traffic to Exchange server

    Hey there ovillamil,
If you are having issues connecting with your Microsoft Exchange account, take a look at the resources below for troubleshooting steps:

^What will this new Feb release allow iPhone users to do?
Impossible to say. The SDK - Software Developers Kit - is basically a blueprint of how to code for a particular OS, in this case the iPhone OS.
3rd Party developers will be able to code and submit programs for Apple to approve and then offer to the iPhone community as downloads. What these programs will be is something that only time will tell.

  • Contacts deleted from Microsoft Exchange keep reappearing on ipad

I have 1 user who has setup an iPhone 5S and an iPad to sync with his Microsoft Exchange account.  Contacts and Emails were set to sync to the devices from our Exchange server and the syncing has been working well for several years.
About a month ago he attempted to delete or edit Contacts from his Exchange account in Outlook.  Initially they appeared to be updated correctly, however, we quickly noticed that the Contacts would not update on either his iPhone nor his iPad.  Instead, Outlook would revert back to the old data from his iOS devices.
I've been looking but have not yet found a way to force the iOS devices to accept the Outlook data as default, and it appears either iCloud or something with the newer versions of iOS may be dictating how the Contacts are updated or removed.
Anyone have any thoughts on how to fix this or experienced this and found a solution?

If you have your mailbox set up as Exchange, when it disappears from the server, by nature, it "exchanges" with any devices you have set it to "exchange" with.  I don't know the method of changing your mailbox to something other than exchange, but you could try to set it up as pop or imap and see if that does what you are asking......

  • E-mail document from Microsoft Word 2003

I am not able to compose a document in Microsoft Word 2003 and e-mail it from there.  The format is available and so is the send button.  The message is just not sent.

I now use Verizon wireless rather than cable.  Do  you think the problem may be with Verizon?
Nope. There would be no difference there.
Do you have Outlook 2003 as well as Word 2003?
Do you use it or Windows Mail for your email?
Whichever it is, set that as the default. See this Microsoft page.

  • Moving the mailbox database copy from one exchange server to another exchange server 2010 DAG

    Hello Team
is it possible to the move the passive copy of database and logs from one server to another exchange server in the same DAG with out removing  and deleting the mailbox database copies in exchange 2010
    normaly procedure is
Remove the mailbox database copies and manually delete the .edb files and logs from the physical location and re-add the mailbox database copy to the new server in the DAG.
is that any way to achieve to move the passive database copy to another exchange 2010 server in the same DAG ?

From your note, you appear to have a two-member DAG (with a server hosting your active database, and a second hosting the passive copy), and you want to move your passive database copy from the current passive server to another.  Your note
about what "the normal procedure is" isn't 100% correct - there are many ways to handle this task, and all can be considered "normal". Why not just add the third server to the DAG and
add a database copy on that third server?  Once it is fully seeded, you can remove the current passive copy.  This way, you never lose your redundancy.
Yes i can add the third and fourth  serve in DAG , but i cannot add the mailbox database copies to the 3rd and 4th mailbox server in DAG as am using RTM version of exchange 2010 which is allowing to have only 5 database inclding mailbox datbase copies
and also currently my lab setup is  two member dag (with a server hosting your active database,
and a second hosting the passive copy) in the same site named SITE A
and recently i have created new SITE B and included the 3rd and 4th DAG members in the same DAG
i want the  mailbox database copies from the mailbox server  database  in SITE A  to
Mailbox server database in  SITE B as  passive copy
That is why i want to move the mailbox database without deleting / removing it manually
    Hope you understand my situation!

  • Mail Setup in microsoft exchange on the iphone4s

I am setting up my work email and go to microsoft exchange.  I then input the details and press next.  It then asks me for server settings.  Any idea what that would be??  I know my incoming and outgoing addresses but they dont work.

I had a similar problem and found a solution on another site worked for me
    1. Open the mail app.
    2. Hold down the lock button to get to the restart screen.
    3. Then hold down the home button for ~5 seconds.
    4. Give the mail app time to restart. (a few seconds or so)
Then navigate back to mail app and all should be well.

  • Use Mountain Lion server (Mail) as a Microsoft Exchange alternative?

    Dear community,
I googled for this question (see topic) and I found some threads (also on the Apple Support Communities) of people asking the same question, rather they mention Lion server and not Mountain Lion server. When I look at some reactions to those questions I see replies saying that you should only use the Mail server in small scenarios (30 - 50 people) and some say it would be wiser to stick with Microsoft Exchange.
I am wondering if you guys think about this the same way. I work for a school with roughly 1500 users and 400 employees. So that's approximately 2k useraccounts / mailaccounts. I'm sure I want to get rid of MS Exchange for various reasons, should I give the Mail server a try or should I search for alternatives?
    Kind regards, John

    John,
    you really can't compare Apple(s) with ... well Microsoft(s).
It is not up to the number of users, as Mark23 already said, because postfix will be capable of handling more mails than your users will produce any day. Rather it is up to what you expect to get. Exchange can deliver you more services, workflow integration and user experience than postfix/dovecot/calendar/address book (of cause you have to pay a price!). But what do you need?
Just mail? Shared calendars or address books?
Maybe you are looking that way just to get mail. Do you need kerberized services? Are your users mainly using Mail app? Do you want the simple configuation interface that comes with OS X server instead of standard files? Then go with OS X Server. Otherwise you might consider a linux box with postfix and dovecot.
But it's all up to your requirements.
