Accordian with I Frame

I am looking for way to pull an html page into the accodian
content without having to type the content in each accordian on
each page. The only way I have figured it out is with Iframes, but,
I am having problems with scroll bars. Is there a different way to
load content from a html page into the content of an
accordian?

  • Understanding compositions with different frame rate

    Hey everyone,
I am working with AVCHD footage with a frame rate of 25.
If it drop my footage into a new compostion after affects sets everything
    up automatically.
I'd now like to what happens to my avchd clip if I change the frame rate
of my compostion from 25 to 24. What excatly happens to the frame
missing? Does AE just gets rid of it?
Does it make a difference if I just change my comp settings from 25 to 24
or if I drop my 25 comp into a new one with 24.
Thinking of it the other way around, if I change my frame rate from 25 to 50,
does that mean that AE doubles the frames of my files?
In general, does the changes have any impact on the speed of my footage?
I'm looking forward to your reply. Much appreciated.
    Best,
    Alex
PS: this count for Premier Pro aswell?

When you create a layer in a composition, and that layer is based on a video footage item, the composition checks at each composition frame to see (sample) the data from the footage item. If there isn't a single frame of data from the footage item that exactly lines up with the frame in the composition, then the composition samples from the footage frames on either side and does one of several things: It can either just pick one of the two frames, or it can just mix them together, or it can do something much smarter and try to reconstruct the image that would have existed between the two frames. What it does depends on what frame blending setting you're using.
When you're using a footage item that has a higher frame rate than your composition, and both frame rates are relatively high, you don't need to worry about this at all, as the default settings tend to work just fine.
To sum up, changing the frame rate of the composition just changes how often the composition samples the image data from the footage item. It does nothing to the footage item itslef and doesn't affect how fast the video from that footage item plays in a layer.
To interpret a footage item as being at another frame rate, or to conform a footage item to a frame rate, you have to use the Interpret Footage dialog box.
For more information, see "Frame rate".

  • How can I edit multiple clips with different frame rates on the same timeline

how can I edit multiple clips with different frame rates on the same timeline

You do not want to edit material from different frame rates on one timeline. You CAN do this, but it is a very bad idea - and this is why.
Once you establish the sequence frame rate - lets say it is PAL material at 25fps, any material that you drop into the sequence other than 25 fps will have to be changed to play at 25 fps. If the material you add is NTSC (29.97), FCP will DROP 5 frames per sec to bring the frame rate down to 25 fps. Which 5 get thrown away? Every 6th one. This yields a funky cadence that becomes even more complex as as there are also interlaced fields (DV/NTSC is an interlaced format). Oh, and by the way, the image sizes are different as well. DV/PAL has 576 lines of resolution and DV/NTSC has 480. FCP has to scale up the NTSC to fit the PAL frame.
You do not want FCP adjusting these things on the fly. You want to do a thoughtful (and time consuming) conversion so that you end up with all your material in one format with the best possible image from the conversion process. Compressor can do an adequate job with Frame Controls turned on. The Natress Standards Conversion FCP plugin is another way to go. A third option is to find a post house that can do the conversion for you using a hardware based process.
The good news is, once everything is in the same format, editing it will be painless and the output process very quick.
Whatever frame rate/ image size you select, I'd suggest using ProRes for the codec. It is 4:2:2 color and will withstand color correction and composting with much more grace than any variant of DV based codecs.
    Have fun.

  • How to use Adobe Interactive forms with ISR frame work in Webdynpro forJava

    Hi,
Anybody worked on Adobe Interactive forms with ISR frame work in Webdynpro for Java in ESS/MSS development.
We have already searched in ISR_Cookbook_2004, however we didn't anything related webdynpro for java in that.
Any information regarding this will be of great help.

There are a number of issues here. A form that you created with LiveCycle Designer (XFA) cannot be used with FormsCentral. An Acroform, the kind you can create with Acrobat, can be used with FormsCentral, with certain limitations,  one of which is skip logic. A dynamic XFA form allows for this type of thing, but as mentioned, they don't work with FormsCentral. You can set up an Acroform to show/hide or activate/inactivate fields based on selections or entries made in other fields, but you'd have to set this up in Acrobat, not FormsCentral. So you can set up something roughly equivalent to a web form's skip logic, but you'd have to learn how to do this in Acrobat using JavaScript. There is a separate Acrobat JavaScript forum here if you have any questions.

  • WebHelp Search Doesn't Display Search Box on Chrome or IE With Chrome Frame

I have RH10 (recently upgraded from RH9) and WebHelp projects are having issues displaying the Search box within the Search tab on Chrome as well as IE with Chrome Frame installed. Instead of getting a search box, I get what almost looks like an index of numbers with associated hyperlinks. The search box appears and behaves fine on other browsers such as Firefox, Safari and IE without Chrome Frame. I assume this is JavaScript related since all of my tests point in this direction, but no idea how to get it to behave. Attached is a screen shot of how it appears...Any suggestions?!?

Any other suggestions? Not really but Item 10 in http://www.grainge.org/pages/authoring/rh10/using_rh10.htm covered how to fix another IE Frame issue. Maybe that would help put your developers on the track for a fix.

  • Cannot create slideshow with high frame rate

I have just bought QuickTime Pro version 7. I am using Windnows XP SP2 on a Pentium D machine.
I am trying to create a movie with still images I captured from my digital camera. I created a 10 seconds slideshow and set the frame rate to 30 frames per second. I then saved the file as a Quicktime movie. When I played the movie with my QuickTime Player, I could see actions for the first two seconds only. After that, the picture didn't change eventhough the progression bar was moving. Once the movie reached the end, the player then changed the frame to show the last picture of my slideshow.
In short, only the first 60 images are shown in the first 2 seconds. Then the slideshow was stuck with the 60th image, until it changed to the 300th image at the very end.
Does anybody has the same experience? Did I do anything wrong?

One more thing. If I set the frame rate to be less than 10 frames per second, it works fine. It just won't work with high frame rate.

  • What's the deal with Drop-Frame / Non-Drop-Frame Timecode?

    I'm having trouble with 30fps Drop-Frame and 30fps Non-Drop-Frame timecode formats! I thought 29.97fps means 30fps Drop-Frame, but now I'm all confused.
I'm working with DSLR footage filmed with a frame rate of 29.97. For example, this one clip is listed as (in Project panel)
    Media Start: 11:16:11:23
    Media End: 11:22:42:22
    Duration: 00:06:31:00
    Frame Rate: 29.97fps
If I open this clip directly in Source Monitor, the timecode display (yellow, on lower left corner) says 11:16:11:23 at the beginning and 11:22:42:23 at the end. OK. But if I right-click on the timecode display, the pop-up indicates "Non-Drop-Frame"(!!). If I manually change that to "Drop-Frame", the start and end timecode would become 11:16:52:11 and 11:23:23:23, and the duration display (white, on lower right corner) becomes 6:31:12.
Now I create a new sequence of 1080p30, which has a 29.97fps time base. I right-click the yellow timecode display on the upper left corner of the Timeline, it says "30fps Drop-Frame". I drag the said clip onto the sequence. It occupies a length of 6:31:12. If I double-click the clip to open it in Source Monitor, now the Source Monitor timecode display indicates "Drop-Frame", and the start/end timecodes are 11:16:52:11 and 11:23:23:23. Huh??
Now I apply the "Timecode" effect on the clip. The timecode burn-in says 11:16:51:11 at the first frame and 11:23:23:22 at the last frame. I then go to the Effect Controls tab and look at the Timecode effect. It says
    Format: SMPTE
    Timecode Source: Media
    Time Display: 30 Drop Frame
Just playing around, I switch "Timecode Source" to "Clip" - now the timecode burn-in goes from 00:00:00:00 to 00:06:31:11 - and then I switch it back to "Media". Now the Effect Controls tab says:
    Format: SMPTE
    Timecode Source: Media
    Time Display: 30 Non-Drop Frame
And the timecode burn-in says 11:16:11:23 at the first frame and 11:22:42:22 at the last frame!
    HUH??
Just for kickers, I switch "Timecode Source" to "Clip" again... Now "Time Display" stays on "30 Non-Drop Frame", and the timecode burn-in goes from 00:00:00:00 to 00:06:30:29.
What's the REAL length of this clip? Is it drop-frame or non-drop-frame? What are the REAL timecodes for it?
Also in a general sense, since I can change the "Time Display" field in the Timecode effect at any time, and change the Timecode display format of the Timeline at any time... How do I avoid creating mismatching timecodes??
Thanks in advance for any clarification!!

So obviously, only one of them could be "correct" in terms of reflecting what actually happened. The other one is slightly sped-up or slowed-down. You might say "oh that's a tiny difference, it doesn't matter".
Zooropa75, just for matter of clarification I want to make sure you understand that no matter which you use, it won't actually speed up or slow down your video. TC, wether it is non-drop or drop, is only a counting system. For that reason, it doesn't even matter which you use to reference edits, so long as everyone editing uses the same TC basis.
If you want actual time accurate TC, as was already mentioned, use drop-frame.
I'm going to kill two birds here. The "drag clip to new sequence button" action I was referring to in my earlier post is dragging your clip to the icon seen below. It should create a timeline using your videos format.
Also, remember I recommended looking in the manuel for "actual" time used? You can see below a snapshot I took from your cameras manuel. You're not shooting in whole numbers for anything unless you're using the 50hz system and shooting at 50p. That is the ONLY exception. ...and this is good for everyone to remember. Very few US digital cameras shoot frames per second in whole numbers. If it says you're shooting in 24p, 30p, 60p, etc. ad nauseum, you can bet your biscuits it's actually the multi-decimal NTCS counterparts like you see below And that should be your final answer. *chuckle*

  • Making a video with single frames

    Hi,
I'd like to make a video with single frames.
One of my computergames is able to take 25 frames per second (or 30, 40 etc.). The game saves the frames in a folder. For one minute there are over 1000 frames.
Now I need to know, how I can tell After Effects that every 25 frames are one seconds.
I just want to make a movie of this game. This will be the easiest way if After Effects can handle with these single frames.
Is it possible? I will be very happy if some can explain me the way to realise my idea.
    Sincerely,

  • What exactly does a switch do with the frames it recieves?

I've become ultra confused all of a sudden.
Switch is a layer 2 device. So this means it deals with frames (builds and examines them). So when it receives a frame, it looks inside to see where the destination mac address is. But since the mac address is on some further away network, and not directly connected to the switch, how in the world can it decide which way to send it? The switch doesn't have a routing table so theres no way of determining. So it either sends it down a trunk link or out all the vlans associated with the source port. Now if its sending the frame out all the vlan ports then this certainly does not break up broadcast or collision domains. Switches have no idea of the topology of a network and therefor must be sending frames out every possible hole they can to get rid of it.
But this would end up being huge problems. If I have a router on a stick topology, with trunk link. And a frame gets sent out all possible ports and a trunk link, the packet is going to get to the source, then after being routed through the router and come back it will be sent to the source again. Also isn't it making a storm if the router routes the packet back to the switch and the switch then sends the same packet down the trunk link, since everything gets sent to the trunk by default?
Or not even with a trunk link. Just linked up to any router. If the mac address isn't directly connected to the switch it must send the packet out every port it can because it doesn't have any idea what else to do with. And if it sends it to the router, and the router says, no it has to go back towards you, wouldn't the packet just go in circles for years with the router saying, "its in your direction", and the switching saying "i don't know where this is supposed to go, so i'll send it anywhere i can"
thanks for any help at all. really frustrated.

    Hi There
In your topology example "Host A -> Switch1 -> Switch2 -> Switch3 -> Host B", for Host A to have any chance of communicating with Host B, they would have to be in the same VLAN/Subnet, as you have no layer 3 device to route between different VLAN's/Subnets.
Therefore when Host A wants to send a frame to Host B it would check its own MAC address table to see if it has an entry for Host B. If it does, it will send the packet with the frame towards Host B. The source MAC addresses will be that of Host A and the destination MAC addresses will be that of Host B.
If Host A does not have the MAC address of Host B it will send an ARP request out on to the wire to Sw1.
Either way, as this is a single VLAN/Subnet, the way Sw1 and the other switches treat the frame will be exactly the same.
Sw1 will receive the frame and check the source MAC address against its CAM table. If no entry exists, it will add the MAC of Host A plus the port to which Host A is connected to its CAM table. If an entry does exist, it will then examine the destination MAC address to see if it has an entry for it. If it has an entry it will forward (switch) the frame out through the interface through which Host B can be reached (This would be the uplink port to Sw2 in this case). If no entry exists, it will flood the frame out of all ports which are in the same VLAN as Host A, except the port the frame arrived on.
SW2 will receive this frame and it will check its own CAM table. If it no entry exists for Host A's MAC address, an entry will be added. If an entry does exist, switch be will then check the destination MAC address.
If it has an entry for Host B, it will forward (switch) the frame out of the port through which Host B can be reached. If no entry exists, it will flood the frame out of all ports which are assigned to the same VLAN as Host A. Sw3 will receive this frame.
It will check its CAM table to see if it has an Entry for Host A. If not it will add one. If it has it will check the CAM table for an entry for the MAC address of Host B. If it has one, it will forward (switch) the frame out the port through which Host B can be reached. If no entry is found then Sw2 will Flood the Frame out of all ports which are assigned to the same VLAN as Host A.
Once Host B responds to the initial frame,
Host A will have the MAC of Host B
Sw1 will know that to get to Host B it sends frames out through the port through which it connects to SW2. To get to Host A it sends the frames out through the port to which Host A is connected.
Sw2 will know that to get to Host A it sends frames out through the port to which it connects to SW1. To get to Host B, it sends frames out through the port through which it connects to SW3.
SW3 will know that to get to Host A, it sends frames out through the port through which it connects to SW2. To get to Host B it sends frames out through the port to which Host B is connected.
At all times in this scenario, when Host A sends traffic to Host B, the Frame will have the source MAC of Host A and the destination MAC of Host B. Like wise when Host B sends data to Host A, the frames will have the source MAC of Host B and the destination MAC of Host A.
What you want to understand is how a switch builds its MAC address (CAM) table.
It checks the source MAC first, If an entry exists, then it checks the destination MAC. If no entry exists, then the switch creates and entry and then checks the destination MAC address. If an entry exists the frame will be switched to the relevant port. If no entry exists, then the frame is flooded out of all ports (in the same VLAN as the frame of the originating host) except the port the frame arrived on.
    Best Regards,
    Michael

  • Project will not render with 'I-Frame only MPEG'

Hey Adobe, I am posting this at your request.
I previously used to have an old Intel Core2 chip system.
I upgraded this so that my video editing life would be faster.  I have a new motherboard, with a new intel I7-4770 @ 3.5Ghz chip. same memory (16Gb-1600), graphics card, hard disk, DVD drive, etc..
On the Core2 system, video projects which I worked on all worked fine. I mainly use a Sony Z5 to shoot video which creates .M2T files.
On my old system, running Premiere CC it ALL WORKED - no problems, but on the new build, it crashes EVERYTIME i try to render, with 'Error Compiling Movie - Unknown Error'
Having spent FOUR hours on the phone to your tech supports in India, they came up with a workaround. I stress - it's a workaround, not a solution.
They found that if i changed the sequence to be 'Custom' and then selected 'Microsoft AVI' (and any Codec, doesn't matter which) as the Preview File Format  instead of 'i-Frame Only MPEG' then yes - it renders.
The tech told me that this was because 'M2T' files were fussy, and needed to be treated like this.
    WRONG!
if this *needed* to be the case, then why did it work previously on my old system without any problem?
Also, if I take a project that crashes on my desktop PC, and copy it over onto my laptop, de-activate Premiere on my desktop and activate on my laptop and run in on there .. IT RENDERS FINE, using the 'I-Frame Only MPEG' setting.
Also, i shot some video with a Nikon D5100 which produces full HD .MOV clips, *AND THE SAME PROBLEM STILL OCCURS* when rendering on my desktop PC, and only renders when i switch the Preview File Format to be 'Microsoft AVI - so it's not related to the .M2T video file type.
So I can render stuff, but ultimately it's a workaround and not a solution, as when I am finished with a project, and want to archive it off I do so by exporting and choosing 'Match Sequence Settings', with with Microsoft AVI selected, it wants to therefore obviously export it as an AVI, which i do not want - I want to export it as 25mbps MPEG which is the original quality/format that it was shot at.  When i try and do this with 'i-Frame Only MPEG' selected as the sequence type - you've guessed it, Media Encoder crashes
So.  Why does i-Frame Only MPEG work on one machine (my laptop), but on my main machine (desktop) which i want to use, it doesn't? What piece of software/codec/file am I missing?
    - i have installed from clean build of Windows
    - i have deactivated and reactived Premiere CC
    - i have uninstalled Premiere CC and reinstalled it
    - i have uninstalled all Cloud CC programs and reinstalled them
    - I have run CC cleaner too
    - I have the latest video drivers for my graphics card (it is the same graphics card that worked just fine on my old system anyway, so is not the issue)
    - I have full Windows/Admin permissions. it is not a permissions problem
please don't suggest any of those options.  None of them work.  I need someone who understands your software and knows what i-Frame only MPEG is to be able to tell me why it isn't working on my system.  I am now past the point of anger (because i have lost several days worth of worktime - and thus money) and being upset (because it's massively frustrating when somthing that previously worked now doesn't), and am now just at the point of being bewildered that no one there can seem to tell me what is going on here, and how to solve it.
    Many thanks,
    Geoff.

I have to put in my 2 cents...and first of all I'm sorry things are happening that are not FANTASTIC results... etc... but there may be ways to make things better... but this stuff is complicated and extremely computer intensive ( math stuff with cpu and ram and stuff ) .. so the platform is very critical to best results.. not just the software.
There's books on compression and how that stuff works ( lossless or not ) and it's all about changes from frame to frame and how to best make file size smaller while keeping every single pixel perfect in each frame... and this is unfortunately not standardized on planet earth. Different companies make up what they can to sell cameras and recording medium and so on..  there are some standards ( for broadcast and movies etc ) cause at some point some groups have to deal with delivery to PEOPLE to watch stuff.. and have decent quality to watch...
In general this is very complicated and full of problems cause there is no single work flow , and probably never will be .
What Jeff is talking about ( I think ) is that during the process of a computer program interpreting images ( frame by frame ) those pixels that have not changed a lot are described in a line of code by the software that says, " This stuff has not changed much if at all ".  Some stuff from one frame to the next one DID change a lot ( someone walking or someone running.. the running changes more fast ) .. and so lines of code say ,  " this stuff changed a LOT "....
During the process of the software to determine what changed and how MUCH changed.. is complicated.. cause the program basically looks at frame A and then Frame F and notes the changes of pixels... and THEN ( as if that wasn't complicated enough ) the program then goes BACK  to frame A and then ahead to frame J ... so now it has expanded it's look at what changes have occurred...
Now the ' CODEC " ( the specific codec used by the program you are running , like CC or avid or FCP ) is going to make it's best GUESS as to what really changed that matters the MOST to the image...so you basically get a nice image from A to J ..... but it is now compressed and taking up less room on your hard drive and ram etc....cause it is interpreting the image changes... and so on...
So if you had every single frame without any guess work and no compression to save space cause those pixels did not change between A and J .... you would have HUGE FILES .... and no benefit in terms of being able to edit anything on a little home desktop computer... even if you have a really powerful one.. it is not going to be good enough to do that stuff....
It would be unfair to say that adobe isn't doing the best they can to accomodate all the camera manufacturers " codecs " and give the best results they can , with a million different computer platforms and hardware out there you can buy off the shelf ....
The I frames and B frames and other frames have to do with the " guessing game " of changes in pixels, changes with every " action " in those ranges of frames, and is very complicated... but there are books about it and what standards exist can be researched and studied if you're into that stuff....
I am an idiot about this stuff but the main thing is dont give up.. and just try to be patient when things dont work out like you thought they would, and figure out what is going on so you can make things work the way you want...
    and good luck !

  • Problems with dropped frames in FCP 4.5 Log & Capture

Thanks for the advice on my previous post regarding sound problems - those are now sorted, but I am having problems with dropped frames in Log and Capture. I am using FCP 4.5 with OS X 10.4.10 on a Powermac G4. CPU 867 mhz dual processor. L2 Cache 256 kb, L3 cache 1 mb. Memory 1g. Bus speed 133hz. I am capturing from a Canon XM1 via Firewire. The scratch disk is a 500gb Seagate FreeAgent USB 2.0, 7200rpm.
Basically, the video and audio are fine while playing back in Log and Capture and I can control the device, but any attempt to capture, whether Capture Now or Clip result in a very jerky picture and aborts with dropped frames after a few seconds. The sound is ok for the few seconds before it aborts. There do not appear to be any problems with the timecode.
My capture preset is DV Pal 48hz.
Any advice or pointers gratefully received.
    Thanks, Ally

Well quite. I have just tried it in the internal hard drive and it works fine now. I am going to have to capture everything to my small hard drive and move it across to the external. Then, when I have finished I am going to bang my head against the wall and buy an external HDD with Firewire.
    Thanks,
    Ally

  • "Cannot play video with this frame rate&qu

For reasons that aren't important here I cannot use the Zen video converting software. Instead, I've been using the trial version of the Caniusoft Video to Creative Zen converter. Only once has a video played, but as soon as I closed the video and opened it up again this message appeared. "Cannot play video with this frame rate." Daniusoft offers frame rates from 5 fps to 30. I've tried all of them and none of them work. Has this been a problem for others? Perhaps I need a different converter?
    ps.
..i'm converting flash video to avi. Does that make a difference?

I can't answer your question in full (maybe somebody else can). However, I am aware that both the Zen and the Zen X-Fi can only play video files up to 320x240 resolution. Previous players like the Vision M were able to scale files down to this resolution on the fly, but not these two newer players.

  • I would like to export a video with 500 frames as a GIF

I would like to export a video with > 500 frames as a GIF - can the upper limit be adjusted?  i'm using photoshop cs6

Yes, choose one of the presets in the Export Settings under the format H.264 instead of mpeg4.
Best is not to use Match Sequence Settings if you are not familiair with settings. You might end up with a preview codec, which is of lesser quality in your end product.

    Hello people
I have build a website using a frameset in dreamweaver 8.
Ewerything works fine, except i cannot drag in my frames when i

Why? Are you familiar with all the problems associated with
    choosing frames
    for you layout?
    > except i cannot drag in my frames when i re-open the

Hmm - I don't understand this. You have created a frameset
    page in which
you define your frames, right? And you have saved both the
    frame pages, and
the frameset page, right? So, you next open which page? The
    frameset? Or
    the frame page?

  • Frame sequence to quicktime ends up with freeze frames at end

I'm just using Compressor 3.5.0 to convert animation file sequence (24fps) into quicktime Proress422HQ (23.976fps). Any settings end up with freeze frame at the end of clip. I've tried 24fps to 24fps and still got same problem. Being curious, I've tried to convert to MPEG4, and still got the same problem. Originally the source format is PNG sequence, and I've convert the PNG into TIFF for test purpose. Still no luck. Does anyone ever experienced the same problem? Thanks for sharing.

Solved by changing the frame rate of the footage (image sequence) into any other frame rate, then change back to desired frame rate. In my case, after load the image sequence >check inspector of footage >change current frame rate (from 24fps to other fps) >change back frame rate to 24fps. Same bug in version 3.5.2. Hope it helps.
