Accordion problem: child not display first time added
I have an mx Accordion that I extend to add some simple functionality (e.g., replace a child content at certain index). I tested it in a clean window and everything seemed to work fine, until I use it in my "real" app.
The problem is when I add a child content to it, the child never bothers to show up until after I click on another header and then go back to click on the header of the child that was just added. I try to call "invalidateParentSizeAndDisplayList();invalidateDisplayList(); invalidateSize();" in the child content's addhandler, and on the Accordion's "childAdd" handler, without luck.
Anyone has encountered this before? This is probably not the best place to ask for troubleshooting tips but this is really driving me crazy. Any lead is really appreciated!
ok. i figured it out. setting the "creationPolicy" of the navigatorContent to "all" solves the issue!

Portlets not displayed first time until refresh
Hi,
I have a strange bug when using WLP 8.1 sp5.
When I go on a page for the first time, my page (Portal Page) is bad displayed : its title is diplayed but the inner portlet is not displayed.
When I look at the source, I can see that the Portal rendering stopped at the page level (no HTML for the skeleton of portlets).
If I refresh the page (just F5 or refresh button), the portlet "magically" appears.
Do you have any idea ?For the both .portal and desktop
It happens after login.
I use a backing file with handlePostBackData method to check the login action.
If everything is ok, I redirect the user to the private space.
On this space, another backing file check that the user is authorized to access to the private space (so it checks for destroyed sessions, url hacks, ...).
I can put the code of the backing files if you need it.
After some tests, it seems to be a problem in relation with the page label. If the page label is a book , the portlet don't dipslay, but if the label is the full way to the page, it appears immediately. -
I have contacted EA about this and can find no help. I had this Scrabble on my iPad2 and began to have connection problems, it would lock in the "connecting" position. This is not the first time Scrabble has had problems with interface. Typically customers delete the Ap then download it again to reinstall it. During the process you sign in and approve the purchase KNOWING that another window will open saying that you have previously purchased it and that there is no charge. So what happened this time? It will not connect and all of my saved and current games are wiped out. I want my money back, this game interface is pretty junk and operates like some ancient DOS program,,bug,bug,buggy. I want my money back.

Powerbook pismo with OS 10.4.9 not display battery time
I was very curious why my newly upgraded powerbook pismo (400 MHz, 1 MB, 55 GB drive, firewire, etc) would no longer display "time remaining" when on battery or external voltage.
I was getting very close to ordering another battery (6600 mAH) for $150 but decided to do some research first. Lo & behold on the archives there were 30 entries about the same problem on OS 10.4. So in a nutshell, a powerbook pismo with OS 10.4 will not display battery time remaining no matter how many brand new batteries you mail order.
I'll learn how to use system profiler more often (remaining capacity mAh/amperage = time remaining).There's nothing at all wrong with preferring APpleWorks and wanting to continue using it. It's a bit unfashionable these days, but there are many people who have discovered how powerful, flexible and easy it is to use and continue to use it despite the development of alternatives!
Of course, it does have the drawback of not being intel native, so performance on intel-based Macs will be relatively poor in comparison to iWork, but if that doesn't cause you any problems in use, then it's purely a matter of what you want to use not what anyone else thinks is appropriate!
That said, what exactly is the problem? Can you scroll by clicking the scroll arrows and dragging the scroll bar, but not by using the mouse wheel? -
Audio is not playing first time in Flex app with 11.2 Flash player.

Not sure that I understand your workflow there. For editing, the 48KHz 16-bit is the "standard." The 32KHz is not.
Now, what is the Sample-Rate of your original material?
What is the CODEC used in that muxed (multiplexed, i.e. combined Audio & Video) file?
Did you allow Conforming complete 100%? This ARTICLE will give you some background.
Do you see the Waveform Display for that Clip? Alt+click on the Audio portion of the Clip, and then Dbl-click on it to get it into the Source Monitor. Do you see the Waveform Display there?
Have you added any Keyframes, or Effects to that Audio? Toggle the Keyframe Display in the Track Header, to see if there are any Clip, or Track Keyframes there.
Have you accidentally Muted that Track? Look at the Visibility (eyeball) icon in the Track Header. Then, look in Audio Mixer to see if that Track is Muted.

How do I connect to Time Capsule from a Windows 8.1 machine which is on a Windows domain. I have been able to connect from a Windows 7 machine on a Windows domain to a Time Capsule. Airport utility is not displaying the Time Capsule Win8.1 machine.
I have checked that the firmware has been updated to 7.6.4 . Similalrly the Win8.1 machine has been loaded with the update specified in another discussion.Firstly how are you connecting to the TC.. wireless or ethernet?
Please open a command window and ping it.. ping by name and by IP address.
If ping succeeds at least by IP it should work.
In windows explorer type
\\10.0.1.1 (or whatever the TC ip is.. that is the default).
Having the airport utility for windows loaded can help the process. As it loads bonjour for windows.
7.6.4 firmware on the TC is useless. It works better on 7.6.1
If the ping does not succeed by either name or IP address yet you have internet through the TC, then your network is setup wrongly. You are have firewalls blocking local IP. Take down all the firewalls. -
the most recent update resulted in a loss of ALL of my bookmarks. This is not the first time this has happened and it is very disruptive. I tried the steps suggested to find the bookmarks but that failed.
A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

I recently updated itunes to the latest version and now the programme will not open.
I have tried all suggestions such as reinstalling the programme, rebooting you name it, nothing.
This most frustrating and completely unacceptable, especially when a company such as Apple touts itself being the leader in music technology yet does not respond directly to questions about faults in their system, but prefers to leave to disgruntled customers to try and sort it out amongst themselves
This not the first time I have had frustrating problems with the Apple system. Perhaps someone could suggest a more reliable system to switch to. Someone with a better troubleshooting system.Going all the way back to Firefox 3.0.5 is shear foolishness, it is 14 security versions behind the last 3.0.19 release. And that version is missing at least a dozen security updates that were applied to the 3.5 and 3.6 versions after support for 3.0.x ended.
If you are not happy with Firefox 4, you should have installed Firefox 3.6.17. That is very similar to the 3.0 and has all the security fixes that have been released since support for Firefox 3.0.x ended last year. -

You can undo your permission changes. Probably the most relevant one is cookies. Try one or both of these methods:

Flash file not loading first time but loads on refresh
I have a problem where a flash program is not loading when
the webpage is first visited, it will get stuck on the loading
screen. Now for this file to finish loading, it needs to load in
another file. Once that file is done loading then the program will
continue. But like I said the first time the program gets stuck on
the loading screen and never continues. If you hit refresh in the
browser then the program will continue past the loading screen.
I've checked the code and everything seems fine there. Could

That is almost always caused by a faulty preloader code. Post
your preloader code or a link to the website so it can be checked.

AddEventListener is not working first time(initial request).

Still I'm having same issue, it is calling this.addEventListener(NewReportEvent.REPORT,newReportSucEventHandler); before dispathEvent and it is showing null value in confirmation page.
Can you please check this code and let me know what I'm doing wrong. Why addEventListerner is firing before dispatchEvent?

Oracle 9i Trigger not updating first time through
Hi,
I have read a lot of postings but this one seems to be unique. I am trying to update using from Access to Oracle backend database with a Trigger. When I put the code from the update in a test window in the PL/SQL, I step through the code and it doesn't update the first time through. The values from my :old and :new fields are null the first time through. When I change either proj_part_ppv_adj, incorp_date or end_date in the test window and step through the code again, it updates my table.

I believe that this is exactly what you are doing, except I have left out the after update trigger.

There are a Couple of methods you can use for this.
Method 1 -
You can create an ini file and save a boolean Key "First Instance" as True. Now In your Program you read this Key, If it is True then you can show your ID Dialog VI.If False do not run the VI. At the Conclusion of Id Dialog you can update this registry enrty to False. So In effect you have created One time Event. In fact you can save ID as another Config entry.
The Drawback and advantage is that such an INI file can be edited by someone moderately knowledgeable about the Program
Method 2
Use Unitialized Shift Register in A while Loop. Please see LV2 style Globals entry under this forum. You can read and write to this Variable and it retains the Value it last had within it.
You can read
this Global the Very first time and say if it true you display your ID Vi. If False you dont. When you display your ID Vi you can Update your Global Like Before.
