Account cancelled and fraudulent CC charges

My friend's skype username has been cancelled and the reason they're sying is because she used a fraudulent credit card to buy credits. She used her own credit card to make the purchase. She can't contact anyone because since she doesn't have a username anymore, she can't post here. Who can she contact?? What's a link she can follow to send a request?

    I received an email from Skype that my registered email with Skype was changed, to this email: *edited for privacy*. I did not change it. At the same time I received an email from Paypal saying this:  "You sent a payment of $29.99 USD to Skype Communications Sarl."   • Account hacked and credit card charged!!!

    I received today 3 emails from Skype. one about Skype Manager, one about Auto-Recharge and a last one about an order for 10 euro that has been made with my credit card. In my account info I fount a strange primary email address @ 163.com [hyperlink removed] and in skype manager setting there is an administrator with username [redacted to protect privacy] and me as a fellow member. The problem is that my credit card has already been charged with 10 euro but I cant see the transaction in my Purchase history page. I can see it only as last purchase of payment method but when I click on "Download this as printable invoice" the "Oops, something went wrong..." page appears. Please help!!

    If you have not already done so, change your Skype account and payment method account passwords immediately.  Report the fraudulent charges to your payment method issuer and to Skype Customer Service. 
    You will need to contact Skype Customer Service to sort this, and to assume control of your account.  Here is a link to the instruction on how to contact Skype Customer Service via their secure portal: Contact Customer Service
    As you know you must contact Customer Service, skip past Step 2 of the instruction and proceed to Step 3, Continue Support Request. You may also skip past in Step 4 where you will be referred back here to the Community; no need to do this as the Community is where you started!

  • Account cancelled and I can't seem to restart

    My CC was recently reissued by my bank because of a security issue. Before I could update the payment info in Skype, my monthly charge went through and was declined. This was yesterday.
    Today, I entered new payment info in my Skype account and deleted the old payment info. Once I completed the change to payment info, the page contained a message that my account was up to date.
    Unfortunately, going to my account page shows a message that the account is set to expire in one day. To add to the confusion, I received an email stating that my "Account was successfully cancelled."
    Now I am thoroughly confused! 
    How do I make sure my account is charged with the new payment info?
    How do I make sure my account is NOT cancelled?
    How do I restart if my account has been cancelled?
    How do I confirm that the old payment info is definitely deleted?
    Please advise ASAP.

  • Itunes charged me multiple times for the same purchase. A message kept appearing that the bank records did not match my account information and each time charged me 5.16... it shows up on my bank account as a pre-authorized purchase 9 times.

    I made a purchase of about 3 songs for the price of 5.16. Well when I was trying to download the songs a message kept appearing saying that "the account inforamtion does not match my bank records". Looking at my bank account 3 days later it shows up under my accout as pre-authorized charges 9 times. The post dates of these charges are not all today and these charges are pending transactions.
    Why did they charge me nine times for the same purchase? And why is it charged for tomorrow?

    This happend to me to---kept getting msg that info did not match bank records and I tried a few times then gave up THEN checked bank account and they charged me SIX TIMES
    of course, you cannot even call them or email...its frustrating..I reported a problem under the songs bought but I have spent over half an hour on this trying to call etc....this is nuts

  • Account Migration and Gamer's Club Unlocked

    Long and bitter post alert, apologies in advance for the wall of text.
    Somehow, I ended up two my Best Buy accounts - one of them ElitePlus, one normal with a Gamer's Club Unlocked subscription (apparently I shop at Best Buy alot, but given my recent experiences, I am starting to rethink that decision).
    I called the Best Buy call center who started the process to combine them and they informed me that it would take up to 7 business days. During the account migration process, I was told I would not be able to use my Gamer's Club Unlocked benefits during the migration period. Annoying, but understandable.
    8 business days later, I called back to check the status. After being abruptly placed on hold so the associate could "research," I was told I was mistaken, that the account migration process could take up to 10 days and that I would simply need to wait. Not wanting to argue, I accepted that I would just need to wait.
    Coincidentally, I was notified just hours later that the migration was complete. When I logged on to check my account, I saw that my Unlocked subscription wasn't listed. When I tried to get the discount on a new game online, I was unsuccessful. Again, I called the call center and confirmed that the Unlocked subscription was no longer linked to my account. To fix this, the case would be escalated to the "back office" who would receive the request in 96 hours, and then need 1-2 business days to complete the request. I truly don't understand how something like this couldn't be fixed with the click of a button, especially given the irony that my purchase of Gamer's Club Unlocked is listed in my purchase history, but here I am waiting another 5-6 business days unable to take advantage of my paid membership.
    Apparently, I can go in store to the customer service desk, have them call the call center to verify my Unlocked status, and they can manually give me a discount - but honestly, that is a near stupid amount of hassle considering I purchase most games online. Makes me want to continue purchasing games from Amazon, where they can be delivered at the click of the button and customer service reps have actual authority such that it doesn't take 2+ weeks for the mysterious "back office" to fix a simple account error.
    TLDR: Got Gamer's Club Unlocked, excited to spend more money at Best Buy, but due to account issues with My Best Buy I've essentially been unable to use my benefits for 2 weeks, and still have another week (or more) to wait. I'm not holding my breath.

  • I cancelled, but it didn't go through and I got charged.

    Hi, I am upset at Spotify.  I recently cancelled my account and found that you had charged me anyway.  I went back to see what was wrong and I had to confirm my cancellation three times after clicking on the initial cancellation button to fully cancel my subscription.  This is scammy at best.  I had to: 1. go to admin click cancellation button.2. go through the reasons why I want to cancel, then click another cancellation button.3. Then I was redirected to a new page with a bunch of photos and a small message offering me another option or to cancel, and had to scroll to the bottom of the page to actually confirm cancellation.  4.  Then I was taken to a simple - finally - page where, once again, I had to click cancel a final time.   I was only going to temporarily suspend the account, but now I am thinking I can't stand the way spotify conducts it's business and will probably not return.  This is only a $10.78 charge, but it's the principal that they created a system to deliberately mislead people.  I'm sure that they are able to get an extra month(s) payment from many people who think they cancelled, but didn't go through the labyrinth of requests and reconfirmations to actually get it done. Booo

    You've checked the purchase history on your account via your computer's iTunes : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via the Store > View Account menu option, you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it. Click on that and you should then see a list of your purchases.

    If nothing shows on your iTunes purchase history (you don't have a Mac and have any purchases in the Mac App Store), and you only have the one account, then you should contact your card issuer.

    Ok, I'm really pissed off right now, so I try to keep calm and not swear.. so here's what happened:
    - Last month I couldn't get into my account anymore with the same login details
    - after a lot of hassle, I was able to get back in, but was forced to log in with Microsoft account instead my original Skype account xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx​xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx​xxxx
    - I got an e-mail stating an invoice of 60 Euros for 800 mins to Ukraine(!). I don't know anyone there, no way I would want to call anyone there.
    - I assumed my account had been hacked so I changed all passwords, etc.
    - Now, 1 month later, my account is charged again. Turns out the hacker bought me a monthly subscription for 800 mins to Ukraine, jaaaay! 
    - I tried to cancel the subscription, but I get a "OOPS, something went wrong" message and it tells me to contact support with this ID : ID: REQUEST-6329897c/2014110912
    - I tried to just disconnect the Paypal payment to prevent any more charges, but then it states I should cancel the subscription first. AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!
    - So WHERE XXXXX  IS SKYPE SERVICE?!?! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx​xxxxxxxx there is NO way to actually send them an e-mail about it. 
    Just leave it up to the community right? 
    So basically I want two things: refunds for both transactions of 120 euro in total (somehow my account only shows the last one, probably, because I had to switch to a MS account login) and disconnection of the Paypal payment method, so this can never happen again.

  • 2 Accounts with BT - Both now cancelled and both n...

    I placed 2 orders for phone lines, both made on the 7th Feb. Both are now cancelled.
    I cancelled the first order on the 8th Feb, every time I call someone in India or wherever it is, I am told, payment will be made to your direct debit account in 5 days. I've been told this 3 times now, and guess what, still no refund of my £30 connection charge. They tell me its impossible to refund back to my credit card. I'm guessing it costs BT money to do this.
    the 2nd order was cancelled by BT themselves only the other day. No refund from that either of the £30 connection charge which was taken from my mastercard too.
    Could I have a valid reason as to why BT are still keeping hold of my money ? I'm very close to calling my mastercard company and doing a charge back against BT.

    You should be able to get your CC Company to do a chargeback in order to get your money back...
    BT India are not competent enough to do this...

    This may sound stupid, but I'm gonna throw it out there anyway. Is it possible, that if I have enough junk on my desktop it might disrupt the signal? It seems odd, but it kind of looks like my signal is strong and relatively steady now that I've cleaned my desktop. I do tend to get very cluttered. I use a lot of reference images and save text clippings to use later... it just piles up very quickly.
    So, I wonder if all that extra effort my system has to do keeping up with the junk might have something to do with the drop outs?

    In terms of a refund, what does it say on the app's description page in the store (a lot say that refunds aren't given) ?     These are user-to-user forums, you are not talking to Apple here and they don't monitor these forums - I've asked the hosts to remove yout account ids from your post.
    In terms of combining accounts it's not currently possible to do so, nor to copy/transfer content from account to another.

  • Bogus Account Changes And Charges + Lack of Support

    This is a formal dispute of my charges per your agreement, although you have done away with any means to email you as stated in said agreement.  Your customer service is not willing to assist me with this.  You have made unauthorized changes to my account, you have for months charged erroneously to my account per these unauthorized changes, you recommended an incorrigible phone, your web site is notoriously difficult for users, and your customer support is aggravatingly difficult to get in touch with.   At one point some companies grow too big and begin to ignore their customers.  Has Verizon reached that nexus?
    1.  Since my bill dated 5/24 - 6/23, 2013 you have erroneously charged for texting on the phone ending in 1675.  You turned on text messaging on this phone without my authorization.  I made it very clear in my discussion with your rep. on 6/10/13 that this phone was NOT to have text messaging.  That rep. blocked "Premium Messaging" which I am now told does not allow to block other text messaging.  To the user a text is a text is a text.  It doesn't matter what you want to call it.  I said at that time NO text messaging on that phone period!  The user of that phone was not aware that I did not authorize it and thought it was a normal course as most users now have and use texting.  NOT on that phone.  I made that clear to Verizon.

    2.  Since my bill dated 2/24 - 3/23, 2013 you have erroneously downloaded applications for mobile email and college pix to the phone ending in 4010.  On Jun 10, 2013 I talked to that same rep. about this and was told that it was taken care of in that it was turned off and the charges would be refunded.  It was not!  The apps are still there.  This user absolutely DOES NOT go to the internet on this phone.  There should be NO data charges, and NO app downloads, and no relationship to the internet whatsoever.  For that matter neither does the phone ending in 0016 and I explained that at the time also.  THESE ARE PHONES ONLY.  We have computers for the internet.  Your service support supervisor on 10/10/13 suggested that the user of this phone has downloaded them and I will tell you that is false.  More about this phone in number three below.

This "Pantech Jest" is a piece of junk phone.  Your rep. suggested it for this user.  She has had nothing but difficulty in attempting to answer this phone nearly from the start.  We call her and and she either cannot hear or cannot answer (the button just does not work).  I doubted her until I tried it.  The store blew her off.   I have witnessed this phone arbitrarily dialing from in her purse.  Could this phone also then be activating the internet?  I would bet on that.  I was not told on 6/10/13 by your rep. that we would have to remove the apps from her phone.  The very same apps that she didn't download in the first place. Neither did the rep. whom I spoke with on 10/10/13 say so.  It was the supervisor I spoke with on 10/10/13 who finally told me that I would have to remove them to fix your error.
    4.  Your website is extremely difficult to navigate.  I am returning to paper billing and will conduct business outside of your website.  For example, the supervisor I spoke to on 10/10/13 told me that I could find the documents that she swore were sent to me by "snail" mail.  I went to where she told me and got a nonsensical "archive" site called "Page Freezer" that seemed more like a communication news web site than a storage place for documents.  It took me a good while to locate the agreements to which she referred.  By the way, just as I told that supervisor, I have not received ANY snail mail from Verizon whatsoever since I went paperless online.

    Are you going to make my account whole or do we need to go down the this other road?  Why wouldn't you want to work with a long time customer?
