Account expiration date

In December 2011 I moved from Virgin to BT and even before starting the service I realise that BT had some non positive issue as they delayed by nearly one month the starting of the BT Infinity service in my zone. In fact I decided to close the service with BT as soon as possible. Then finally in Jan 2012 they started the BT infinity service and so I started my count down for the 18 months making sure not to add any other service to the account. In May 2012 they did the free speed upgrade for BT Infinity and as I was paying the maximum for that service I asked for my upgrade too and I don't remember that anybody told me that because of this upgrade I was extending the contract with BT. Today I called BT to cancel the call diversion and I asked them to confirm if it was June or July 2012 that  I can close the contract as Virgin and Talking offer similar services for less money and even 6 months half price (from BT I received nearly no discount... also because of the fact they botched the starting date of the BT Infinity service and I forced myself to survive the first weeks with a very slow ADSL connection when in that moment I was used to a 10 MB connection) and today I was told that I am obliged to stay with BT up to November 2013 just because of that free speed upgrade I asked and obtained in May 2012... After all I was even paying the maximum tariff for the BT service and therefore I was not getting anything extra but just what any new customer was getting by paying exactly the same amount of money (and even receiving some discount I never received). No need to say that Virgin and Talk Talk presently have 12 months contract versus the 18 moths of BT... I think this is another lesson from BT to consider in the future... After all since December 2012 I have not even renewed the call line saver as I was afraid to waste money by paying one year in advance if I leave after 6 months...

Hi,
I just did some tests on my Windows 2008 R2 Domain Controller, and the date of “Account expires - End of” in ADUC does differ from the accountExpires attribute in ADSI editor.
In ADSI editor, the time is showed as Pacific Daylight Time, which is converted from local time of the domain.
Here are some related threads below I suggest you refer to:

  • ISE 1.2 Sponsor Portal- Account Expiration Date Defaults to same time as Start Date

    We have a time profile setup for ISE Sponspr Portal with Start/End.  I understand this allows the sponsor to specifially set the start and end time for the guest account.  When creating an account, the Start/End time is the same time.  If a Sponsor forgets to set the end time, then the guest account will be created, but will expire not allowing the guest to login.  It would be nice to have the end time default to something other than the start time, like 8 hours default.  Is this possible?  Can the expiration time default to something like 8 hours, but still give the Sponsor the ability to adjust the start/end times if needed?  This is very simple, and I cannot believe this is not available.

    Beginning with Cisco ISE 1.2 time profiles are referred to as the account duration in the Sponsor portal.
    Cisco ISE 1.2 includes these default time profiles, which replace the profiles available previously:
    DefaultFirstLoginEight—the account is available for 8 hours starting when the guest user first successfully connects to the Guest portal. This replaces the DefaultFirstLogin time profile.
    DefaultEightHours—the account is available for 8 hours starting when sponsors first create the account. This replaces the DefaultOneHour time profile.
    DefaultStartEnd—sponsors can specify dates and times on which to start and stop network access.
    Upon expiration of their account per their assigned time profile, they will no longer be able to login or access the company network.
    If a guest were to return to the network, the sponsor can change the account duration via the sponsor portal to grant them access again and then require them to change their password if deemed necessary (depending on the settings). Changing account duration can be used for extending a guest users access longer than the original setup.
    If you upgrade to Cisco ISE 1.2, the older time profiles are still available, but you can delete them if you are not using them. If the older time profiles are assigned to a sponsor group, a message alerts you before deleting. If you perform a new installation of Cisco ISE 1.2, only the new time profiles display.

  • SharePoint Service Accounts - Passwords have expiration date when they are set to never expire

    The managed accounts in my farm all have the Enable automatic password change
    unchecked.  Also these same accounts in AD have the Password never expires
    checked.
    If I use get-spmanagedaccount to view the accounts, some passwords show as already expired or have a future expiration date.  The automatic change is set to False and nothing is listed under the Change Schedule.
    The strange thing to me is that the passwords listed as expired are still valid and haven't been changed.  I even ran an iisreset just to check and there were no issues.  When I look in CA the next password change area is blank for all accounts.
    My question is why do the accounts list a password expiration date if it's set to
    not automatically change passwords.  If you do change the password through AD you will see a new expiration date set for 90 days later.  I'm just wondering how much I should worry about the service accounts that are listed
    as having expired passwords even though the passwords aren't expired.  My sites and services are running but I'm just curious if this could potentially cause other errors.
    Thoughts?  Prayers?  Condolences?

    I checked the My farm as well, you are correct. Even you did not select the automatic password change still it showed 90 days as expiry.
    You don't need to worry about it, it will not hurt, one of the dev farm having account which  expired almost 10 months ago. :)
    you can double check with in central admin and you will see no expiration set over their.
    Please remember to mark your question as answered &Vote helpful,if this solves/helps your problem. ****************************************************************************************** Thanks -WS MCITP(SharePoint 2010, 2013) Blog: http://wscheema.com/blog

  • How can I display the password expiration date for a user

    I have created a GUI (using PrimalForms) which runs powershel scripts to pull information like user ID, email address, last logon ec. for the helpdesk to help establish the validity of some user claims of "it worked yesterday" and the like.
    I have been asked to add the password expiration date, but I am struggling to get the code for this addition.
    Does anyone know how I can include this, and have it in a human readable format?
    The current scripts (there are 3) allow the helpdesk staff to search on user ID and display name, the third provides the last logon, it was impossible to include this in the other scripts so I added an extra search button and called it good. An example of
    these scripts is below (please note, PrimalForms needs a slightly different syntax in order to get the results displayed, but the core script is standard PS, I use Powershell 3.0)
    $results.Text=Get-ADUser -Filter "sAMAccountName -eq '$($EntryBox.text)'" -Properties DisplayName, sAMAccountName, mail, extensionattribute5, PasswordLastSet, PasswordExpired, PasswordNeverExpires, buMemberOf, telephoneNumber, msExchOmaAdminWirelessEnable, whenCreated, whenChanged, enabled, AccountExpirationDate | select givenName, surname, DisplayName, sAMAccountName, mail, extensionattribute5, PasswordLastSet, PasswordExpired, PasswordNeverExpires, buMemberOf, telephoneNumber, msExchOmaAdminWirelessEnable, whenCreated, whenChanged, enabled, AccountExpirationDate | Out-String
    $results.Focus()
    for info:
    $results.text is the window in the GUI results are displayed  in
    $entrybox.text is the text box the helpdesk staff use to input the user ID or display name of the account they are querying
    $results.focus simply tells the script to put the results in the results.text window
    The screenshot below shows the current setup, this is purely to put the above information into perspective. Obviously some of the information displayed has been removed/redacted along with our logo.

    Hi,
    Here's an example you can build from:
    $maxPasswordAge = 120
    Get-ADUser USER -Properties PasswordLastSet |
    Select SamAccountName,
    PasswordLastSet,
    @{N='PasswordLifeRemaining';E={$maxPasswordAge - ((Get-Date) - $_.PasswordLastSet).Days}},
    @{N='PasswordExpirationDate';E={(Get-Date $_.PasswordLastSet).AddDays($maxPasswordAge)}}

  • How can I set an expiration date on a pdf in adobe acrobat 9?

    I am trying to set an expiration date for some documents, I have tried to use several javascript methods with no success. My adobe skills are very minimal so the easiest way possible would be appreciated.

    Acrobat can act as a client to the LiveCycle DRM encryption system but you must have an existing account on a LiveCycle ES/ES2/ES3 server with the Rights Management module activated. That requires you either license a copy from Adobe or work for someone who already has it running and who can issue you an account.
    LiveCycle ES3 is an extremely powerful enterprise-class solution for document creation and publishing, designed for use by hundreds or thousands of employees. To say it's not cheap is somewhat of an understatement, and the Rights Management module is an optional extra.

  • Password expire date back to 2011 from 2012  after assigned  a user profile

    Friends,
    I created a profile test as
    COMPOSITE_LIMIT UNLIMITED
    SESSIONS_PER_USER UNLIMITED
    CPU_PER_SESSION UNLIMITED
    CPU_PER_CALL UNLIMITED
    LOGICAL_READS_PER_SESSION UNLIMITED
    LOGICAL_READS_PER_CALL UNLIMITED
    IDLE_TIME 60
    CONNECT_TIME UNLIMITED
    PRIVATE_SGA UNLIMITED
    FAILED_LOGIN_ATTEMPTS 5
    PASSWORD_LIFE_TIME 120
    PASSWORD_REUSE_TIME           60
    PASSWORD_REUSE_MAX           30
    PASSWORD_VERIFY_FUNCTION NULL
    PASSWORD_LOCK_TIME 1
    PASSWORD_GRACE_TIME 7;
    the user default profile default PASSWORD_LIFE_TIME is 180 and password expired date is 1/7/2012. the test account was created in 7/11/2011.
    Now I assign test user to test profile successfully.
    However. expire date becomes 11/8/2011 1 from 1/7/2012 by select dba_users
    which wrong is in my profile or somewhere?
    As I think, the account password expired should be start after assigned new profile with PASSWORD_LIFE_TIME. but is seems expire date is start from original account created date.
    Thanks

    I would think the expire time would be based on the last password change time which Oracle stores in the rdbms base table for user information (user$). Find a second user, alter the password, check the expire date, then assign the user to the new profile, re-check the expiration date. Post back. Behavior may vary between releases so include full Oracle version of test.

  • Powershell Active Directory Account Expiration Script

    I am putting together a script that creates a user account in AD, sets the password, adds groups, etc.  The part I am having problems with is when the user selects the Contractor employee option and is prompted for the expiration date of the AD account.

  • No password expiration date

    Hi all,
    I am working on a web service in order to modify the password expiration date.
    In particular, they requested me to set password never expires at user's creation moment.
    I wrote something like this:
    uacc = UMFactory.getUserAccountFactory().newUserAccount(susUserName, newUser.getUniqueID());
    uacc.setPassword(susUserPassword);
                             uacc.setPasswordChangeRequired(false);
    but users continue to be created with the usual password expiration date.
    I tried to search something in my library that could help me, but with no luck. In particular, I tried using the method setPasswodExpirationDate of ISecurityPolicy and of class SecurityPolicy, but I cannot find a method to link this methods to user account. I have also seen that changing the security policy to "Technical User" I may overcome the problem, but the method setSecurityPolicy is not implemented in the libraries on server.
    Could you please give me some advices on this topic? I really do not have anymore ideas.
    Best Regards,
    Francesco Macaluso

    Use the below code to set your user as technical user.
                  IUserAccountFactory uaFactory= UMFactory.getUserAccountFactory();
                  IUserAccount userAccount=uaFactory.getUserAccountByLogonId("<userID");
                  IUserAccount mutableUserAccount=uaFactory.getMutableUserAccount(userAccount.getUniqueID());
                  mutableUserAccount.setAttribute("com.sap.security.core.usermanagement","SecurityPolicy",new String[]{IUserAccount.SECURITY_POLICY_TYPE_TECHNICAL});
                  mutableUserAccount.commit();
    Thanks

  • Pre-order & Authorization Expiration Date

    On July 11th I placed a pre-order with ToysRUs.com for an item that will be released on October 16th. However, according to my PayPal account, the authorization expiration date for that order is August 10th. Toys 'R Us will not allow me to change my payment method and a PayPal rep has told me that they cannot change the authorization expiration date. The PayPal rep told me that Toys 'R Us, on the other hand, can change the authorization expiration date. Is there anything else that I can try to resolve this issue? I really do not want to lose my pre-order! I don't understand why Toys 'R Us accepts PayPal for pre-orders at this point...

        Hi Mochita - We want to see that iPhone in your hands as soon as possible! We should have set the proper expectation when you called to discuss the order. The original order could not be modified so it had to be cancelled. We are unable to control the ship time on the second order as it is being recognized as a new order at 5:30AM. I apologize for any inconvenience. If needed the second order can be cancelled as well however we are unable to guarantee availability on launch day.
    Thank you,

  • Do apple accounts expire? I received an email that my account will expire in 3 days.

    I just received an email to sign in with my username and password or my account will expire in 3 days. Is this fake? Don't ever remember an expiration date.

    No, they don't. Forward the email to [email protected] and then delete it.

  • I have an iMac later 2006 with Snow Leopard, is there an expiration date to upgrade to Lion?

    is it better to buy the full retail disc for Lion or get the one on apple for $19.99 n is there an Expiration date? Thanks.

    No, but your oldish iMac may not be able to run Lion.
    Check via Software Update whether any further updates are required, particularly to iTunes.
    You should now see the App Store icon in iTunes, and you now need to set up your account:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4479
    You can now upgrade to Mavericks OS 10.9 for free IF you have one of the following Macs, with not less than 2GB of RAM, and at least 8GB of available space on your hard drive:
    iMac (Mid-2007 or later)
    MacBook (13-inch Aluminum, Late 2008), (13-inch, Early 2009 or later)
    MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid-2009 or later), (15-inch, Mid/Late 2007 or later), (17-inch, Late 2007 or later)
    MacBook Air (Late 2008 or later)
    Mac Mini (Early 2009 or later)
    Mac Pro (Early 2008 or later)
    Xserve (Early 2009)
    iCloud system requirements:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4759
    If you cannot run Mavericks you can purchase the code to use to download Lion from the App Store (Lion requires an Intel-based Mac with a Core 2 Duo, i3, i5, i7 or Xeon processor and 2GB of RAM, running the latest version of Snow Leopard):
    http://store.apple.com/us/product/D6106Z/A/os-x-lion
    or Mountain Lion:
    http://store.apple.com/us/product/D6377Z/A/os-x-mountain-lion

  • Where do I find my Gamers Club Unlocked expiration date?

    I've searched everywhere I can think of in my Best Buy account and can't find any reference at all to my Gamers Club Unlocked subscription, let alone when it expires. Can someone please tell me where to find the expiration date? Thanks!

    Hello AchillesPDX,
    Thanks for being a Gamers Club Unlocked member.  I hope you've been enjoying all the perks.
    The place to find your Gamers Club status and expiration date (if Unlocked) is under the Rewards Overview page.
    To get there, click on "Account Overview" after hovering over the "MyBestBuy" tile across the top of BestBuy.com.
    Once this page opens, you will want to hover over "Rewards," then click on "Overview."  The next page will have the familiar Elite Status spend tracker at the top right.  Just below that is the Gamers Club status information.  It will appear if you are a free member.  If you are Unlocked it will also show you this along with your expiration date.
    I was able to confirm your expiration date, so I'll send you a private message with that information to ensure you have it.
    Thanks for writing in and have a great weekend!

  • How to extend Inventory's expired date ?

    Hi Expert,
    How to extend inventory's expired date which is TSM type material?
    I cannot find any ME function to support this case. Any suggestion or solution?
    Thanks!

    Hi Cary,
    If you are talking about "Shelf Life Expiration Date" and "Maximum Floor Life", they are not editable from GUI. The values are taken from TSM_INSTANCE.EXPIRATION_DATE and TSM_INSTANCE.MAX_FLOOR_LIFE fields - so you may try to update them manually though this can't guarantee DB consistance, taking into account possible enhancements of TSM in future releases.
    Regards,
    Sergiy

  • GCU Expiration Date is Incorrect

    Hello,
    It had been a little while since I've logged into my MBB account, but I am just now noticing that it says my GCU membership will expire on April 11, 2015. I know that's not right. Prioir to the My Best Buy overhaul it said I was covered through 2016. Could someone please tell me my correct expiration date?

    Hello mpaulllin,
    I'm sorry to hear about the issues you're experiencing with your Gamers Club Unlocked membership.  I was able to locate your account and it appears that you're current membership expires on 04/11/2015.
    The purchase of the program was in 2012. If you've purchased a membership since then, please send a private message to me by clicking the yellow box at the end of my signature with your receipt information.
