ACE Running S-NAT with IIs 6 logging

Have a customer that is running IIS 6, and needs to source nat traffic from ACE module to those servers.  From what I can see, IIS 6 does not support/use “x-forwarded-for” header natively, and require an add-on module.  I found only one option (
http://www.winfrasoft.com/X-Forwarded-For.htm#Pricing).  Does anyone know of another option/approach to accomplish the same thing?  PBR not a viable option, BTW.

You can use any name you want in the field you add within http headers in the client's requests, but you'll always have to add a specific field.

  • Unable to run Flex application with IIS

    Hi,
    I'm new to flex 3 application. I created a simple application
    using wizard from Flex IDE, but this application run well under
    ASP.net server but failed under IIS.
    Below is how i created the application
    1. I created a flex project running on APS.net default server
    (cassini).
    2. I created an application from database by clicking on Data
    -> Create application from database
    This application is running fine. However, if i followed the
    same step, but used IIS instead of ASP.net default server, the
    application failed.
    Below are error codes:
    faultcode: server.error.request.
    faultstring: HTTP request error
    faultdetail: Unable to load WSDL. if currently online, please
    verify the URI and or format of the WSDL
    Appreciate if anyone can help me on that. Thanks in advance

    Looks like a domain or path problem.

  • Running Tomcat As a Stand Alone with IIS

    Hi,
    I am currently running a servlet from Tomcat 4.0.1 as a standalone concurrently with IIS 5.0. I found that I was able to access the servlet page (http://adt.barra.com:8080/examples/Test1) from computers within my company but when I tried to display the page at my home computer, I get a page cannot be displayed errorThe page you are looking for is currently unavailable. The Web site might be experiencing technical difficulties, or you may need to adjust your browser settings. Do I need to run Tomcat as a service or do I actually have to incorporate the two using isapi_redirect.dll? Or maybe its just that computer. The machines at work runs WinNT and Win2K but my home computer runs Win98. Thanks.

    As a previous poster stated the Firewall at your work is probebly stopping the traffic from coming in. You might be able to get away with this using the IIS isapi that tomcat provides, however you may still have firewall issues. If your network/security guys are not to anal about it, they might be able to open up pot 8080 for incoming traffic to that server only. Otherwise, you may want to try the Tomact isapi.
    Hope that helps to clarify it a bit... ;)

  • 10g - how to configure sso with iis-

    hi, experts, I have followed Oracle® Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition Deployment Guide to configure SSO with IIS.
    but I always meet this message.
    Not Logged In
    You are not currently logged in to the Oracle BI Server.
    If you have already logged in, your connection might have timed out, or a communications or server error may have occurred
    what steps are missing?
    how to check?

    hi, experts,
    I checked C:\OracleBIData\web\log\sawlog0.log on the obi server (windows server 2003 standard).
    at Thu Feb 17 14:48:46 2011 , I logined OBI on another machine (not via the browser on the obi server).
    however, the log shows the login user is the administrator of the obiserver (obiserver\administrator ).
    any setup on IIS are wrong? thank you very much!

  • SSO to InfoView with IIS 7 problem

    Hello,
    I couldn't find a answer to my problem in other threads. I read the dokumentation for this but one piece is missing since it is not funktion properly.
    Description of Problem or Question:
    I do get a Windows login promp when I configure Windows-Authentication in IIS 7. It asks for user-credentials of the IIS-Server-Host. (Which is also the CRServer) The only user accepted is the local administrator. I can't fugure out which peace of configuration is missing.
    Where do I configure which type of authentication in IIS? I have several options (from top):
    IISServername - Default Web Site - InfoViewApp - logon
    I have tried every possible combination between Anonymous and Windows Authentication.
    Product\Version\Service Pack\Fixpack (if applicable):
    Crystal Reports Server 2008 V1 12.1.0.882
    Relevant Environment Information (OS & version, java or .net & version, DB & version):
    Windows Server 2008 (32bit), CMC: WACS, InfoView: IIS 7, (all on the same server)
    SQL Server 2005
    Windows XP Clients with IE8
    Sporadic or Consistent (if applicable):
    Consistent.
    What has already been tried (where have you searched for a solution to your question/problem):
    I searched this forum and some guides.
    Steps to Reproduce (if applicable):
    When I configure in IIS 7 everywhere Anonymous Authentication, then I get in InfoView login page the error: Account Information Not Recognized: Internal error. When I type in an domain user account the login works fine.
    When I configure in IIS 7 for example at the Default Web Page (I don't know if this is the right place) and try to open the InfoView login page, I get before the page can open a windows login promt where it want's a login to IISServer or CRServer (which is the same). When I enter the local administrator of the IISServer then InfoView login page opens and I can access InfoView with a domain user. If I enter three times incorrect user credentials I get an HTTP 401 error.
    By the way once logged in SSO2DB works fine. "Just" SSO2Infoview does not.
    Please help since I think it's just a litte peace missing.

    Ok the issue I was thinking of may just be for IIS server farm and wasn't noted just emailed to me.
    "Turns out in IIS 7 changing the APP POOL to run under the service account isnu2019t enough anymore. We also had to configure a setting in the ApplicationHost.config file.
    Hereu2019s the snip from the blog and a link to it: http://blogs.msdn.com/saurabh_singh/archive/2008/12/25/service-principal-name-spn-checklist-for-kerberos-authentication-with-iis-7-0.aspx
    Special case of running IIS 7.0 in a WEB FARM
    If you are running IIS 7.0 server in a Web farm the KDC will not know in advance which individual server the request may go to and hence ticket decryption may fail. Hence in such a scenario instead of registering SPNs under a specific machine account use a domain account. I am not a SharePoint guy but based on what I have read on the Web this scenario is also applicable to a single SharePoint server configuration.
    There are two ways to go:
    Either
    Disable Kernel mode authentication and follow the general steps for Kerberos as in the previous IIS 6.0 version. Refer this.
    Or,
    [Recommended for Performance reasons]
    Let Kernel mode authentication be enabled and the Application pool's identity be used for Kerberos ticket decryption. The only thing you need to do here is:
    1. Run the Application pool under a common custom domain account.
    2. Add this attribute "useAppPoolCredentials" in the ApplicationHost.config file.
    <system.webServer>
       <security>
          <authentication>
             <windowsAuthentication enabled="true" useKernelMode="true" useAppPoolCredentials="true" />
          </authentication>
       </security>
    </system.webServer>
    Remember there is no GUI setting for this. You need to modify the ApplicationHost.config file from
    <%SystemDrive%>/Windows/System32/inetsrv/config folder on the IIS 7.0 machine.
    3. Add the SPNs in the form:
    http/<virtualhost-name> and
    http/<virtualhost-name.fully-qualified-name>  for the Application Pool Identity.
    Ensure that we don't have such an entry for SPNs for any other account including IIS server machine account."
    This KB is for IIS 6 but shows the AD and web.config instructions required for .net kerberos

  • Populating our log message along with standard sap log in ck11n.

    Hi all,
    I have developed a user exit which is used in costing of material using ck11n.
    Here i have to show our custom log message along with the standard log shown by standard sap system after costing run is complete.
    I got one FM-- CM_F_MESSAGE  which is used by SAP. But i want the message along with SAP messages and not separately.
    Can u help me out for this. its very urgent.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi
    I'm not sure because I don't know that trx, but I seem the function group of that function manages a log, so you can try.
    This is an extract of abap code of SAPLCKDI where that fm is used:
    CALL FUNCTION 'CM_F_MESSAGE'
       EXPORTING
         ARBGB = Y_CMF-CK
         MSGNR = '327'
         MSGTY = Y_CMF-W
         MSGV1 = SICHT
         MSGV2 = KLVAR.
    So I suppose you should call it by this way:
    CALL FUNCTION 'CM_F_MESSAGE'
       EXPORTING
         ARBGB = <your message class>
         MSGNR = <message number>
         MSGTY = <message type>
         MSGV1 = <text 1>
         MSGV2 = <text 2>
         MSGV3 = <text 3>
    I think MSGV* is optional parameter.
    Max

  • OCDM  - Sample Report Installation issue - Runs too longer with No progress

    Hello,
    As a part of OCDM environment setup for Practice we were successful installing following :
    * Supported Enterprise Linux
    * Oracle DB 11g R2 (OLAP & MINING option)
    * OWB was already installed as a part of Oracle DB 11gR2 - just unlocked the OWB accounts.
    * Installed OBIEE 11g R2 installation - Installation successful and able to open url's. (analytics and BI Publisher etc.) - Issue with login account.
    * Installation of Communication Data Model (First Installation type from OCDM Installer)
    When we try to install Sample Reports at same stage the screen remain open and runs too longer with No progress.
    The Installation process for OCDM Sample Reports is given in the attached doc with screenshot and the log file is also included in the attached document.
    Please let us know the following two issue:
    1) How to login to Analytics after OBIEE 11gR2 installed on Linux - ( in our case we use user as Administrator and tried password same as username, even checked with the user weblogic and other but no success. Please provide us the information which give details(document) about the Administartion of OBIEE 11gR2 on Linux).
    2) The issue with installation of OCDM Sampple Reports though successful installation of OCDM Data Model.(First Installation Type from OCDM Installer)
    Thanks & Best Regards,

    I think, I cant Attach the file here and character limit is 30K for the post here so putting below the few lines of Log File content:
    I can email the screen shots docs and complete log file on request if needed.
    It stuck in Configuration Assistance screen -
    After more than 1 hour the same screen – No progress – I tried 3 times but same issue. Log file also not growing and seems its waiting for some dependent thing that need to happen before it proceed.

    Hi Please check my answers
    1) How to login to Analytics after OBIEE 11gR2 installed on Linux - ( in our case we use user as Administrator and tried password same as username, even checked with the user weblogic and other but no success. Please provide us the information which give details(document) about the Administartion of OBIEE 11gR2 on Linux).
    The current OCDM version does not support BIEE 11g, so you need to install BIEE 10g. In next release(will be available soon), OCDM will support BIEE 11g.
    2) The issue with installation of OCDM Sampple Reports though successful installation of OCDM Data Model.(First Installation Type from OCDM Installer)
    The importing will take a long time, you can login database with ocdm_sample_sys/ocdm_sample_sys, and use "select count(*) from tabs;" to monitor the import process.

    1. This procedure is a diagnostic test. It changes nothing, for better or worse, and therefore will not, in itself, solve the problem. But with the aid of the test results, the solution may take a few minutes, instead of hours or days.
    Don't be put off merely by the seeming complexity of these instructions. The process is much less complicated than the description. You do harder tasks with the computer all the time.
    2. If you don't already have a current backup, back up all data before doing anything else. The backup is necessary on general principle, not because of anything in the test procedure. Backup is always a must, and when you're having any kind of trouble with the computer, you may be at higher than usual risk of losing data, whether you follow these instructions or not.
    There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional. Ask if you need guidance.
    3. Below are instructions to run a UNIX shell script, a type of program. As I wrote above, it changes nothing. It doesn't send or receive any data on the network. All it does is to generate a human-readable report on the state of the computer. That report goes nowhere unless you choose to share it. If you prefer, you can read it yourself without disclosing the contents to me or anyone else.
    You should be wondering whether you can believe me, and whether it's safe to run a program at the behest of a stranger. In general, no, it's not safe and I don't encourage it.
    In this case, however, there are a couple of ways for you to decide whether the program is safe without having to trust me. First, you can read it. Unlike an application that you download and click to run, it's transparent, so anyone with the necessary skill can verify what it does.
    You may not be able to understand the script yourself. But variations of the script have been posted on this website thousands of times over a period of years. The site is hosted by Apple, which does not allow it to be used to distribute harmful software. Any one of the millions of registered users could have read the script and raised the alarm if it was harmful. Then I would not be here now and you would not be reading this message.
    Nevertheless, if you can't satisfy yourself that these instructions are safe, don't follow them. Ask for other options.
    4. Here's a summary of what you need to do, if you choose to proceed:
    ☞ Copy a line of text in this window to the Clipboard.
    ☞ Paste into the window of another application.
    ☞ Wait for the test to run. It usually takes a few minutes.
    ☞ Paste the results, which will have been copied automatically, back into a reply on this page.
    The sequence is: copy, paste, wait, paste again. You don't need to copy a second time. Details follow.
    5. You may have started the computer in "safe" mode. Preferably, these steps should be taken in “normal” mode, under the conditions in which the problem is reproduced. If the system is now in safe mode and works well enough in normal mode to run the test, restart as usual. If you can only test in safe mode, do that.
    6. If you have more than one user, and the one affected by the problem is not an administrator, then please run the test twice: once while logged in as the affected user, and once as an administrator. The results may be different. The user that is created automatically on a new computer when you start it for the first time is an administrator. If you can't log in as an administrator, test as the affected user. Most personal Macs have only one user, and in that case this section doesn’t apply. Don't log in as root.
    7. The script is a single long line, all of which must be selected. You can accomplish this easily by triple-clicking anywhere in the line. The whole line will highlight, though you may not see all of it in the browser window, and you can then copy it. If you try to select the line by dragging across the part you can see, you won't get all of it.
    Triple-click anywhere in the line of text below on this page to select it:

    Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
    8. Launch the built-in Terminal application in any of the following ways:
    ☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
    ☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
    ☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
    Click anywhere in the Terminal window and paste by pressing command-V. The text you pasted should vanish immediately. If it doesn't, press the return key.
    9. If you see an error message in the Terminal window such as "Syntax error" or "Event not found," enter
    exec bash
    and press return. Then paste the script again.
    10. If you're logged in as an administrator, you'll be prompted for your login password. Nothing will be displayed when you type it. You will not see the usual dots in place of typed characters. Make sure caps lock is off. Type carefully and then press return. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you make three failed attempts to enter the password, the test will run anyway, but it will produce less information. In most cases, the difference is not important. If you don't know the password, or if you prefer not to enter it, press the key combination control-C or just press return  three times at the password prompt. Again, the script will still run.
    If you're not logged in as an administrator, you won't be prompted for a password. The test will still run. It just won't do anything that requires administrator privileges.
    11. The test may take a few minutes to run, depending on how many files you have and the speed of the computer. A computer that's abnormally slow may take longer to run the test. While it's running, there will be nothing in the Terminal window and no indication of progress. Wait for the line
    [Process completed]
    to appear. If you don't see it within half an hour or so, the test probably won't complete in a reasonable time. In that case, close the Terminal window and report what happened. No harm will be done.
    12. When the test is complete, quit Terminal. The results will have been copied to the Clipboard automatically. They are not shown in the Terminal window. Please don't copy anything from there. All you have to do is start a reply to this comment and then paste by pressing command-V again.
    At the top of the results, there will be a line that begins with the words "Start time." If you don't see that, but instead see a mass of gibberish, you didn't wait for the "Process completed" message to appear in the Terminal window. Please wait for it and try again.
    If any private information, such as your name or email address, appears in the results, anonymize it before posting. Usually that won't be necessary.
    13. When you post the results, you might see an error message on the web page: "You have included content in your post that is not permitted," or "You are not authorized to post." That's a bug in the forum software. Please post the test results on Pastebin, then post a link here to the page you created.
    14. This is a public forum, and others may give you advice based on the results of the test. They speak only for themselves, and I don't necessarily agree with them.

  • Outlook Anywhere Loosing connection : Outlook Event id 26 and Exchange IIS HTTPERR Log : Connection_Dropped_List_Full at the same time

    Hi,
    I have a Windows 2008R2 Updated / Exchange 2010 SP3 Rollup 7 (Role CAS,HUB,MBX) with only external users connection : ActiveSync, EWS, OWA, Outlook Anywhere.
    4 processors and 24Go of memory are allocated to the Exchange server VM (VMWare).
    Netscaller is used as reverse proxy in DMZ.
    There is around 500 users connecting with Outlook Anywhere to Exchange. Users are using Outlook 2010 or 2013 with last updates and cache mode enabled (owner mailbox and delegations). Users are location all around the world (around 50 sites). So no users
    is domain integrated.
    Users are complaining about disconnection, and Outlook freeze (Outlook is not responding). This happened at any point of time during the day, and for different kind of actions (Outlook is just open, Try to press Send button, try to press Transfer button).
    The freeze happened randomly for users. I have seen the problem, and Outlook sometimes freeze during few seconds, sometimes during 5 minutes without any reason. (no file copy, no action asked...)
    I noticed that freeze are matching with the Outlook event id 26  on the workstation (Connection to the Microsoft Exchange Server has been lost. Outlook will restore the connection when possible). Also, at the same time, I can see around 200 lines in
    the IIS HTTPERR Log (Exchange Server : C:\Windows\System32\LogFiles\HTTPERR) the following lines:
    2014-11-20 10:39:43 NETSCALLERIP PORT EXCHANGEIP 443 HTTP/1.1 RPC_OUT_DATA /rpc/rpcproxy.dll?EXCHANGEFQDN:6004 - 1 Connection_Dropped_List_Full MSExchangeOutlookAnyWhere

    What has been already checked :
    Check IOPS: seems to be normal
    Check Processor consumption: seems to be normal
    Netscaller TimeOut = 8h
    Bandwidth where the server is hosted : more than enough
    Bandwidth of client internet connection : Traffic do not increase when the problem happen
    Firewall TimeOut : seems to be ok
    Firewall Protocol Filter : seem to be ok
    Workstation MTU : Ok : ping -l -f 1472 = Ok, so best MTU = 1500 (1472+28)
    Outlook Profile : Clean Up OST, sync of all folders, download address book.
    wireshark on workstation : nothing seems to be wrong but difficult to analyse, so I maybe missed something.
    Configuration change on Exchange :
    HKLM\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows NT\RPC\MinimumConnectionTimeout = 120
    Disable throttling Policy
    Adsiedit, change Max Memory alloc for ESE : msExchESEParamCacheSizeMax = 327680 (around 10GB) msExchESEParamCacheSizeMin = 131072 (around 4GB
    Adsiedit, change Min Memory alloc for ESE : msExchESEParamCacheSizeMin = 131072 (around 4GB)
    Host file : add hostname and FQDN of Exchange Server
    Disable IPV6 : HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\services\TCPIP6\Parameters\DisabledComponents = HEX 0xffffffff
    IIS : system.applicationHost : webLimits : minBytesPerSecond = 0
    Create dedicated IIS AppPool MSExchangeOutlookAnyWhere for /RPC and /RPCWithCert
    AppPool MSExchangeOutlookAnyWhere : Regular Time Interval (minutes) : 0
    AppPool MSExchangeOutlookAnyWhere : Queue Length : 20000 (Should be the solution but not working)
    netsh int tcp set global chimney=disabled
    netsh int tcp set global rss=disabled
    HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\MaxUserPort = 65534
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\KeepAliveTime : 300000
    HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Netlogon\Parameters\MaxConcurrentAPI = 150
    IIS machine.config : <system.web> : requestQueueLimit="65535"
    Microsoft.Exchange.RpcClientAccess.Service.exe.config <add key=”LoggingTag” value=”ConnectDisconnect, Logon, Failures, ApplicationData, Warnings, Throttling”/>
    Uninstall All agents (except Backup Agent)
    Uninstall Antivirus
    Will be done tonight :
    Exchange and DCs : HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Netlogon\Parameters\MaxConcurrentAPI = 100
    Exchange IIS : Increase AppPool MSExchangeOutlookAnyWhere Queue Length to 40000
    Exchange : decrease HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\KeepAliveTime to 60000
    You're welcome if you have any idea.
    Thanks.
    Jo.

    Hi,
    Thanks for your answer. Here are my comments :
    1. Disable IPv6 then restart your Exchange server
    Already done since the install of Exchange.
    2. Confirm if there is any NLB device in your environment, please remove NLB firm client server
    There is only one Exchange server in the Org. So no NLB installed on the server (NLB is used on the Netscaller used as a reverse proxy). In Addition, the article apply for Windows 2008, or the server is installed with Windows 2008 R2.
    3. If there is a proxy server configured in IE, please uncheck it
    I guess you are talking on the client side. There is no proxy on the client side, Outlook Anywhere connect directly to the internet.
    4. Collect more error logs in Event Viewer in Exchange and collect the IIS logs in
    folder “c:\inetpub\logs\logfiles\W3SVC1”
    the error I reported in the description is from IIS, and always appear when end users report a problem. In W3SVC1 file, there is also errors, but those one appear even if Outlook clients are working fine. So I cannot isolate any specific
    error. The most common from W3SVC1 log are :

    Hi
    Check this article on JGuru. It explains how to use Tomcat together with IIS.
    http://www.jguru.com/faq/view.jsp?EID=776546
    If you also need to use EJB's you probably also want to have a JBoss installed - check www.jboss.org

    Can i use EJB components in it?Yes, you can use EJB components. IIS uses Tomcat as a plugin and Tomcats feeds IIS with HTML code. Tomcat performes all the JAVA work including EJB. This links shows you how to install it:
    http://jakarta.apache.org/tomcat/tomcat-3.3-doc/tomcat-iis-howto.html
    Shoud be the same for version 4.1

  • 2009 macbook running very slow with Yosemite?

    After installing Yosemite there was a big change in performance for all actions on my computer. Start up, basic actions around the desktop and all applications are going considerably slower - slower than they ever have with my computer. I've changed a few of the settings, and that has helped, but it's still ridiculously slow. I haven't downloaded any MacCleaner app or anything. Can anyone help me with this?

    1. This procedure is a diagnostic test. It changes nothing, for better or worse, and therefore will not, in itself, solve the problem. But with the aid of the test results, the solution may take a few minutes, instead of hours or days.
    Don't be put off by the complexity of these instructions.
If you prefer, you can act on it yourself without disclosing the contents to me or anyone else.

  • MBP - OSX 10.9.2 - running crushingly slow with other symptoms.

    My MBP is crushingly slow.  I have also had some graphics issues and other strange issues like mission control not working properly, or app icons not displaying in launchpad.  Memory used in activity monitor is always hovering around 7.98 GB out of 8GB... so that's obviously part of the problem.... but as I write this the only apps I have opened are: Activity Monitor and Safari.... and it's currently running 7.99GB.
    Under activity monitor this item is consistantly red and non responsive "com.apple.photostream-agent.ImageConversionService (not responding)".  In the past I have noticed other items non-responsive items in Activity Monitor.
    Attempted solutions:  I made a couple different admin users to test out if it was something with a particular account.  But all accounts had the same symptoms.  I did a clean install just a couple days ago and used migration assistant to bring over only data related to my user... ie... photos, music, emails, documents, etc.  I did not re-install any applications other than a few mac app store purchases, like aperature, pages, keynote, numbers.  No 3rd party apps. (up until 5 minutes ago when I installed dropbox... but the problem was there prior to installing this app.)
    Any help would be super appreciated.  Thank you.

    Please don't post "etrecheck" output in a reply to me. I have no use for it.
    1. This procedure is a diagnostic test. It changes nothing, for better or worse, and therefore will not, in itself, solve the problem.
    2. If you don't already have a current backup, back up all data before doing anything else. The backup is necessary on general principle, not because of anything in the test procedure. There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional. Ask if you need guidance.
    3. Below are instructions to run a UNIX shell script, a type of program. All it does is to collect information about the state of the computer. That information goes nowhere unless you choose to share it. However, you should be cautious about running any kind of program (not just a shell script) at the request of a stranger on a public message board. If you have doubts, search this site for other discussions in which this procedure has been followed without any report of ill effects. If you can't satisfy yourself that the instructions are safe, don't follow them. Ask for other options.
    Here's a summary of what you need to do, if you choose to proceed: Copy a line of text from this web page into the window of another application. Wait for the script to run. It usually takes a few minutes. Then paste the results, which will have been copied automatically, back into a reply on this page. The sequence is: copy, paste, wait, paste again. Details follow.
    4. You may have started the computer in "safe" mode. Preferably, these steps should be taken in “normal” mode. If the system is now in safe mode and works well enough in normal mode to run the test, restart as usual. If you can only test in safe mode, do that.
