Acquire N Scans doesn't work

Acquire N Scans VI (it is an example VI) does't work to collect noise ( no input connected)

The problem is: I don't measure noise, but I measured it before. So, the problem is not the device (it is a PXI-4472) but it is in Labview. Nothing has been modified. Yesterday it worked, today it doesn't work.
Look at the VIs: they are extremely simple. Cont Daq and Acquire N Scans are the same as those in the Example Fider. Only ACQ&Wite has been little modified. They acquire only if signal is more than 0.465 V pk-pk.

  • HP Scan doesn't work with HP LaserJet 2840 after upgrade to Leopard

    Small bug mucho irritating.
I can't scan documents anymore. The program starts but doesn't give med a scanning window so it's no use at all. The problem is the same on my Intel based MacBook.
Is there a work around? I've seen various solutions by starting the program with rossetta on intel machines but it's not the problem in my case.

Can you elaborate? I'm going through this right now with my HP printer.
It worked fine with Tiger. Worked fine with Leopard when I upgraded. However, when I had to do a complete erase and install of Leopard to try and fix a Mail issue, the scanning no longer worked.
I've escalated with HP and they tell me I am out of luck and can not do scanning (particularly multiple page) to a clean install of Leopard (only if upgraded from Tiger).

  • HP photosmart C6280 scan doesn't work after once working

I can't understand it - six weeks ago I came on this forum with this problem and it was solved. I used Preview and' import from scanner' which worked fine. I tried it yesterday and it doesn't work again! I've downloaded new drivers from a site suggested to someone else on the forum with the same problem, but it still doesn't work. All I get when I go into System Preferences - printers & fax - is 'No scanner selected' its driving me mad! I had to go and do scanning from my old PC! Heresy! Someone please help!

I seem to have resolved this problem now. I uninstalled ALL stuff I had downloaded including drivers etc., and just went to the page suggested on this forum and put on the new stuff from HP I can now scan properly from my computer without using Preview.

  • HP photosmart C6280 scan doesn't work

Hi all, I've installed Snow Leopard with no problems at all, until now. I tried to scan a document today (it worked before SL) and it says it can't find the scanner. I downloaded new drivers but it still doesn't work. Any suggestions? thanx

    Hi deetroy12,
I am glad to hear, you are mow able to scan from preview.app.
I just want to tell you the full version of HP software is now available here:
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareList?os=219&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&lang=e n&product=3194498
If you want to install this software (including OCR functionality) you should ensure the former version of HP software is completely removed from your MacOS 10.6.1.
If the HP software is still at your system you should run the HP uninstaller located in /Applications/Hewlett-Packard/. In this uninstaller you can use a hidden function to really remove ALL rests of related HP software: After clicking "Continue" in 1st window of the uninstaller you should press and hold following 3 keys at your keyboard while clicking the "Uninstall" button. the 3 keys are "Ctrl", "Option" and "Cmd". After clicking "Uninstall" while holding the 3 keys you should see a dialog with yellow exclamation mark "Are you sure you want to remove all HP software...?"
Click OK and input your user password. So all related HP software will be gone. After Restart you should install HP software version 10.3 (for MacOS 10.6) from link above.
After this installation the real scan software is "HP Scan" located in path /Applications/Hewlett-Packard/.
    With Regards
    Fred

  • Scan doesn't work after downloading Windows 10

After downloading Windows 10, scanning will not work on my HP Officejet Pro 8620 all in one printer. I used HP Print and Scan Doctor program and it stated that it fixed my scanning problem.  However, when I attempt to scan I get a message that says it cannot find the application to support the selection.   BTW...I have also unistalled and reinstalled the driver for this printer thinking it might been to "reconnect" in some way with Windows 10.  On another note, by DVD drive now doesn't work either after downloading Windows 10. HELP !!

    Hey there,
Try the following step's, i believe it will help you overcome the issue.
1.Start by dissconnecting the USB cable.
2.Remove the Printer Driver from the "Devices and printer's" which can be found in the control panel.
3.Download this file (http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/COL48430/al-117537-4/DJ1510_188.exe) which is the full solution for the HP Dj 1510 series.
4.Extract the contents from within the file.
5.Open up the "Utils" Folder and within choose the "x64" folder, Inside you should be able to spot a File called "RemovePreInstalledDrivers" >> After you will open that file a Black screen will open, Wait for it to close then move to the next step.
    6. Go back to main folder where you have already extracted the software and Right click on the x64.msi file (Name will most likely consist your printer model) and choose the "Repair" Option. >>Afterwards you will be prompted to preformed a restart. (Incase you will get a Messege saying "This action is only valid for products that are currently installed" Just double click the file instead)
7.After the restart, Head into Local Disk C/ProgramFiles/HP/PrinterModelFolder/bin/USBSetupLuncher and double click it.
8.Follow the steps shown to you and connect the USB cable when you are asked to.
That should add the scanner to Your imaging devices.
    Best Of luck~

  • HP PhotoSmart C4280 all in one came with my macBK scanning doesn't work

Printing works fine yet when i try to scan something (hit the scan button) it says "usb port not connected" which of course it is working the usb cable connection or how could I print? Yet, scanning getting this kind of strange error! What should I do just take the macBOOK w/ printer to Genius
Bar see what they think? Hate to lug it all the way back in through shopping ctr again
anyone have an idea about this? Not like apple store just down the road from me requires a a jaunt
to say the least in my jalopy.

What a piece of crap - In the instructions it says for scanning "make sure you are connected to computer running Windows" ***? I use a mac because I don't want to use windoze.
I was in a huge hurry with a deadline looming in a couple of hours (and dead powerbook), so I grabbed a new iMac, they say - "want a free printer/scanner?" sure, throw it in. Had I not been on deadline, I would have done some homework. This thing is a piece of junk. And it wasn't free, I had to shell out $100 ontop of the other $2000 I was dropping in the Apple store. Sure I'll get the hundred $ back after I mail in the rebate form and wait six months to receive the check back, ASSuming of course I actually get all $100 back - check the terms and conditions, says "eligible for up to $100"... I'm guessing I get $50 at the most.
The mac "specialist" (and I use that term very loosely, just because you have an iPhone, doesn't mean you know anything about Apple) made it sound like this was the only printer that was "eligible" for the rebate. In my haste to get back to work, I sad f* it and now am ******, because I need to scan something st midnight on a friday and have to download new drivers/software.
Apple, you used to treat us much better when your market share was 3%.

  • Wifi scanning doesn't work on HP 5110 e-all-in-one

I have windows 7 netbook.  I have had to install the printer manually because the installation software gets stuck at the finding printer on wifi stage (progress bar goes to completion but then freezes and only way to stop is to restart the netbook).  So the printer has added itself to wifi succesfully, using the onscreen wizard on the printer itself.  I have added the printer to my pc for wifi printing manually using the ip address, and then downloaded the drivers by usb cable connection which automatically added all the drivers (I thought).  So printing works over wifi but scanning only works by using USB cable.  I would like to be able to scan over wifi too.  Any ideas on whether there are additional drivers to install for that or if there is any sort of manual set up I can do?
    Thanks

HI @Rprine , and welcome to the HP Forums!
I see you're experiencing driver issues.  I would like to help.
Are you able to make a copy?
I would recommend performing a power reset. Disconnect the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug the printer back in. Ensure you plug the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any sort of surge protector or power bar.
I would also recommend downloading and running the HP Print and Scan Doctor.
Good luck and please let me know the results of your troubleshooting steps. Thank you for posting on the HP Forums!

  • HP photosmart 6520 scanning doesn't work

My photosmart 6520 printer was working fine, scanning to computer and printing with no problems then all of a sudden I cannot scan to computer and when I try to scan it puts up the msg No Computer Found. I haven't scanned for a while so when I tried I was surprised it didn't work.  I can print and copy but it will not let me scan. When I go to control panel devices and printers my printer shows up with a triangle with an exclamation point in it. I have tried disconnection the power cord and restarting, I have even replaced the usb cord to the computer with no results. I have even tried to reload the installation CD and tried HP's scan troubleshooter. Everything else works, is this an inherent problem with this model printer? I'm baffled

    7597, welcome to the forums
I understand you are no longer able to scan from your Photosmart 6520. I am willing to help you with this!
I am glad to hear the copies are working, as this shows the printer is alright and the problem isn't with the hardware.
First of all, run the HP Print and Scan Doctor and post back to me with the detailed results from the tool.
I also would like to know the OS you are running:
Which Windows Operating System am I running?
Mac OS X: How Do I Find Which Mac OS X Version Is on My Computer?
As you connect USB, try a wireless connection or Ethernet connection and let me know if they work.

  • Scanning doesn't work (HP deskjet 2544)

I try to scan with my device via HP-software, but when I press the "scanning" button, nothing happens at all. There is no any dialogue windows and no any messages about errors. Just nothing.
The same thing with the standard windows application for scanning and faxing. When I click the button, there is no reaction at all.
When I use another application (scannito lite, ABBY Finereader), it says, that the program is unable to open TWAIN device.
I am using Windows 7. And I have installed/removed/renstalled the software and drivers three times. The device is connected with USB.
I really need help as fast as possible.

    Updated: webscanning works.

  • HP PSC 2355xi Scanning doesn't work with Leopard

Please help! I have an iMac that I've upgraded to Leopard and an HP PSC 2355xi printer. It will print fine but I cannot use the All in One software from Hp and therfore, I cannot scan documents or use it's scanning functionality. I've downloaded the latest All in One software and reloaded it, to no avail. Very Frustrating! Please help with ideas or thoughts.

I've had the same problem with an all-in-one I purchased in Dec. I can't figure it out either. The model I purchased is not listed on the HP web-site. Yes, the web-site is not exactly helpful. I tried the chat support and as soon as the person found out that I was a Mac user, that became the end of the help session. I spent the next hour on the phone with support. I finally hung up and went to other forums to figure it out.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled about 3 times. I even went back to OSX 10.5. I'm assuming HP Scan Pro is the software to use. I get no communication between the all-in-one and my laptop when it comes to scanning. I'm not finding HP to be Mac friendly.

  • Wireless scanning does not work with Yosemite

When I uppgraded from Mavericks to Yosemite the wireless scanning doesn't work anymore.Tried to find some new driver at the support page, but there are only drivers for Maveriks and erlier versions of OS X.

Hi , Welcome to the HP Forums! I noticed that wireless scanning is not working after upgrading to Mac OS X 10.10, with your HP Deskjet 3520 printer. I am happy to help!  Some questions for you:  Is your HP Deskjet printer an all-in-one? • My Canon MX 922 does not scan. My printer is connected via cable. Wireless doesn't work either.

My Canon MX 922 does not scan. My printer is connected via cable. Wireless doesn't work either.  I get an error message with multiple suggestions but none of them apply to my situation.
I am so dissatisfied with this printer.  I'm sorry I got it from Amazon because now it is a hassle to return it.  I will never buy another Canon.
The printer menus are confusing.  I hate using it.  I loved my previous Canon which finally stopped working after many years, that's why I purchased a newer Canon model.  Never again.  Stick with cameras.

This note won't be as angry and frustrated as the last one...
Because I still had my old printer drivers and other applications on my hard drive, I think the application was trying to connect with the old printer.  I deleted all the old stuff.
I also had several scanning applications on my drive which just confused me.
When I used the actual Canon MX922 application, I was able to scan but could only save as JPG, TIF or BMP (and one more, I forget which).  So I did some research on the Canon site and found out how to save documents as PDF files using the Canon IJ Scan Utility.
It works now.  So I'm satisfied, will keep this maching.  I just had to take some time, sit down and focus on the problem.

  • LaserJet software/driver issues. Print and Scan Doctor doesn't work on scanning function of MFP.

Upon using the diagnostic utility HPPSdr. exe, only the select an action "Fix Printing" shows up and not the "Fix Scanning" option. Our printer is the LaserJet 3050 connected via usb running under Windows Vista32 on a HP dv8408us laptop. The scanning driver is HP imaging 4.0.4.0. There have been numerous problems with this scanning software/driver package which have been well illustrated on the HP forums. An update is sorely needed. All that HP customers really expect when we buy a product is that we get the functionality that we paid for and that we get support for the software and hardware for a reasonable length of time, I think that 5-7 years after the final production date of the product, at least, is reasonable. In the case of the 3050, the scanning has never worked right since day 1 because the scans are too light with signatures and time stamps showing up poorly. With the pnp driver installed it it almost impossible to scan in receipts, etc. The communication software Toolbox FX is needed to use the scan button on the machine, and since there are so many problems with this package with respect to system resource usage and connectivity, we can't use it and we don't get the walk up use of the scan button that we paid for originally. As Microsoft has updated the Windows OS, HP has failed to keep pace and we lose functionality of our equipment over time.  The diagnostic utilities have supposedly been updated several times and the scanning portion of the MFP still doesn't show. Surely the wide base of installation of this product could justify the expense of some engineering time for an update to the software and drivers. If HP hopes to turn itself around, a commitment needs to be made towards engineering products that really work in the environments that its customers use them, or else HP will merely be regarded as marketing company that is only concerned with selling the next thing without respect to customer retention.

    VisionAiry,
    Thank you for your response,
There have been problems with the software and drivers for the LaserJet MFP/AIO machines which have been well illustrated by many users on here for several years. What is shocking is the unwillingness of HP to address these issues at an engineering and design level. This is the level in your organization that these problems need to be addressed at, not at the marketing and customer service level. The software/driver package has never really worked right ever since the 3050 - 3392 series was introduced back in 2006. The scanning drivers in the pnp drivers don't work, and never have, because of frequent communication problems. Someone never bothered to check if a blue ink signature would scan. I and several others have reported on these issues. What I have discoverd, through much trial and error, is that the full software package upon installation with only basic drivers installed using the check boxes in the menu, actually installs differently than the pnp driver. Who would have thought this? So now the machine scans OK.
My PC really appreciates not having the ToolboxFX installed. ToolBoxFX Error messages and crashes have been well documented on here. This is an application that puts an unnecessary drain on system resources. The only problem is that now the use of the Scan button on the machine is taken away so I don't get the walk up use of the scan button that we paid for in the original design. Why is the scan button function tied to the defective ToolboxFX software?
As far as printing goes, after carefully deleting the original print drivers, I use the PCL 5 and PCL6 UPD drivers. They work a lot better than the original print drivers ever did. But what about scanning? The scan driver on the 3050 dates all the way back to 7 2007. Scanning is an integral part of the functioning of most offices nowadays, but it is an afterthought at HP.  Why would a driver, software or diagnostic package only address half of the capabilities of a machine?
When I went on the vacation recently, I tried to use my PCL 5 and PCL 6 drivers on my relatives 2009 OfficeJet 7310 and it wouldn't work at all. I had to spend 2 hours with multiple failed attempts to install the full 7310 package on my PC. Installation problems and repeated attempts are a constant theme with HP software. The very term Universal Print Driver is misleading because it won't work on many of the HP products out there. The product listing for the UPD, I only recently discovered on here, with help, because it was so buried on the UPD information page.
The LaserJet 3050 at $300 from Staples wasn't the most expensive printer out there, but it wasn't the least either. It is actually a pretty nice piece of hardware. I have invested over $1,500 in marked up toner since I've had this machine. HP needs to do better for us.
