Acrobat ribbon missing on office 2013 (specifically outlook and word)

I just downloaded acrobat xi on my desktop PC w/ windows 7 professional.
The acrobat ribbon is missing on outlook and word programs.  I tried the troubleshoot recommended by adobe and it does not work.
Any suggestions?

Hi Mardic,
Compatibility with Office 2013 has been added from Acrobat 11.0.1 on-wards.
You need to update Acrobat for the pdfmaker to appear in Office applications. The latest version is 11.0.10

  • My Acrobat tab is missing in Office 2013

I have office 2013 (Windows 7) and Acrobat XI (Creative Cloud). I have always had an Acrobat tab and have used it successfully many times to create PDFs. Recently it has gone missing. I no longer have the tab, and I can no longer create PDFs. I can still print to PDF, but this does not create any book marks for headings and such in Word, so the PDF is not very useful to me. I frequently create large documents and really need that feature that the ribbon tab gave me to be able to have all the Word headings converted to bookmarks in the PDF.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling: Acrobat, the PDF Maker, the PDF Maker and Acrobat, and Office all to no avail. This morning I unistalled Office and Acrobat, rebooted, then reinstalled and still nothing. When you open Options in Word, it shows the addin is not checked (disabled) If i try to check it, it does not take. I mainly create PDFs from Word, so this is my primary concern, but I also checked the other Office apps. In Outlook, it shows it also unchecked with a message below that says there was an error loading. Excel and PointPoint interesting enough show the plugin loaded, but there is still no ribbon tab, nor buttons.
    Here are some images:
So I am at a loss. I am not sure how to fix this problem, or what caused it in the first place. As it used to work just fine on this computer.
Any assistance is apprecaited. Thank you.

When you post, do not expect an immediate answer. We users do not live on this site and check periodically. However, one of us is often around. I was considering replying about doing the updates when I got to your second post. Actually 11.0.01 is even old. You should be able to do updates from the Help menu in Acrobat or download them from http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=1&platform=Windows. The updates generally have to be installed in order (most are not cummulative).
WORD 2013 was released after Acrobat 11.0.0, requiring the updates for Acrobat to properly operate. Even if a beta was available, Adobe does not generally target the beta for updates since they are often totally different from the final release, wasting a lot of programming time on the part of Adobe.

  • Save to Sharepoint Option gone missing in Office 2013

Hi - I used to be able to save to SharePoint from Office 2013 apps by going to file, save as and under SharePoint I would have my sites pinned for ease of access. they then vanished and although it works in the same way I now save under 'other web locations'.
Have Microsoft removed that option in an update or something?
    Thanks
    Rhys.

    Hi Rhys,
I could reproduce this issue in my environement.
And I found some posts about this issue, it seems to be due to a Microsoft Update, however, I cannot confirm it.

  • Outlook and Word 2013 freezing up

I used to have Office 2010 installed on my Win 7 Ultimate 64-bit PC. It never gave me any problems. I upgraded to Office 2013 (32-bit - 15.0.4535.1006) awhile back and Word and Outlook started continuously freezing whenever I was editing a document or email.
If I am just reading email, it is fine. When I click on Forward or Reply, or compose a new email, it freezes for at least 15 seconds, and often much longer. I may get a few words typed before it freezes the 1st time, but it always does. If I keep typing,
or try to click somewhere else in the app, it will eventually tell me the program is not responding. After it comes back, I may get a couple of sentences out, but it will eventually freeze again. A simple 10 second email often takes several minutes to complete.
It doesn't matter if the email is in the preview pane, or if I click the Pop Out button to have it in its own window. It also doesn't matter if I open Outlook in Safe Mode or not.
I found kb article 921541. After using the Fixit tool from there and changing the default printer to the MS XPS printer, Word seems to be working. So it would seem, even though it is the same problem in both Office apps, and they started
locking up at the same time, the problems are unrelated.

    Hi to everyone,
I too have the same problem with both Outlook and Word 2013 which are both freezing up for some seconds every 2 or 3 minutes when writing email or document.
It happens when I have an Internet connection. If not connected to Internet, everything works fine, Outlook and Work don't freeze at all.
So, I guess it is related to Internet connection, which is filtered with a firewall. Maybe that filtering could lead to these issues, however, on another workstation set up with Outlook 2010 on the same network, there is no problem.
I tried the classic solutions, like disabling video card acceleration and so on, but it doesn't change anything. Also, there is no error or warning in Event Viewer. Finally, it had already happened 3 months ago, and using a network sniffer to watch for network
flows, I had allowed some IP addresses on the firewall. But problem came back...
    Thank you for your help.
    Fred

  • Office 2013 (Mainly Outlook) Ribbon Menu Display Error

So i have created a MDT System Image for deploying Windows across our Business we are currently using Windows 8.1 32/64Bit Office 2013 SP1 now i have recently updated the image simply to install the latest load of Windows Updates so we are not installing
a load of updates when imaging a machine. a lot of our users are reporting issues in Office mainly Outlook but Word has the issue also, the Ribbon bar has Pixelated Display issues and one would have to close he application and re-open to resolve.
Now i have uploaded two screenshots to my box account and shared the images below as you can see from the screenshots it looks to be a display issue but it is only the Office Applications that fall victim, once you change to something else it dissapears
but this is happening a few times a day now. i have blanked out with black boxes the secure information from our relevant party's they are separate to the issue.
    https://app.box.com/s/fd1e8vw5gr7hbtxo42pb
    https://app.box.com/s/cyfsuad7uuml5uaq75az

    Hi,
I would suggest you start Outlook in Safe Mode to determine if it's 3rd-party add-ins related:
Press Win + R, type "outlook.exe /safe" in the blank box, press Enter.
If there is no such problem in safe mode, disable suspicious add-ins to verify which add-ins caused this problem.
Since you have mentioned that you also meet this problem in Word, I doubt if it's related to a setting in Office:
In any Office application, such as Outlook, go to File -> Options -> Advanced -> Display -> Find "Disable hardware graphics acceleration", have you checked this box? If no, check it and click "OK" to save the setting.
This option is added since Office 2013, and it's global, once it's set in an Office application, it applies to others as well.
More information about hardware acceleration can be found in this article below:
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/cc26ac52-5c94-468e-ac34-35c9dcc5b422/hardware-graphics-acceleration?forum=outlook
    We can also consider this:
On the Desktop, right click on This PC(or Computer) icon, select
Properties, then Advanced system settings on the left side, under
Advanced tab, click on the Settings button for
    Performance.
    Now we see this:
Uncheck the box for Animate controls and elements inside windows, click
    OK button.
I hope the information can be helpful.

  • How can I install the acrobat ribbon in my office word 2013

I can't find how to install the ACROBAT ribbon in Office 2013. I'm running an Acrobat XI Standard

  • Acrobat XI & Not Seeing Acrobat Main Tab in Office 2013

I bought Acrobat XI & Office 2013.  Installed Acrobat XI first.  Then Installed Office 2013 next.  Opened Office 2013 word, excel, outlook, etc and NO Acrobat main tab.  Checked forums & Acrobat support and made sure Add-Ins in the customized Main Tab was checked, and COM Add-ins is pointing to XI and not disabled.  Still NO Acrobat main tab in the ribbon.  What am I doing wrong?!
MS Word 2013, Excel have the Acrobat in the Add-ins but is missing Acrobat tab to right of View. Only in MS Outlook I got an error message (pic 3).
MS Word 2013 w/o Acrobat XI - there's the Acrobat checked on Add-ins but doesn't have the main tab to the right of View.
MS Excel 2013 w/o Acrobat XI - there's the Acrobat checked on Add-ins but doesn't have the main tab to the right of View.
MS Outlook 2013 w/o Acrobat XI - there's the Acrobat on Inactive Add-ins and have the following error message:
"Not loaded. A runtime error ocurred during the loading of the Add-in."
Please help me, I don't know what else to do, installed and re-installed both MS-Office & Acrobat in different order. Nothing worked.
    Any suggestions?
    Sandra

    Hi Sandra,
Can you please update Adobe Acrobat XI and then check for the issue. The latest version of Adobe Acrobat XI is 11.0.06. You can update Acrobat by following steps below:
    - Launch Acrobat XI;
    - Click on Help --> Check for Updates.

  • Office 2013 OCT Outlook Bug Observation

Just wanted to highlight an issue we've seen at my organisation where an MSP file is does not fully install the Outlook 2013 branch where it is modifying an existing installation where that branch is not installed.
The scenario is that Office 2013 SP1 has already been installed using an msp file which does not install access, outlook and lync branches. It also hides and locks these features.
We're then following this base install at a later date and enabling Outlook using another msp file. Despite the msp file installing all features for the branch, Outlook 2013 *does* then appear, but mapiph.dll (and potentially other files) are missing from
    the installation.
One symptom of the missing mapiph.dll file is that local searching within outlook does not work, such as from the exchange offline cache.
Our workaround has been to enable these branches using config.xml instead. For example...
    <Configuration Product="ProPlus">
    <Display Level="none" CompletionNotice="no" SuppressModal="yes" AcceptEula="yes" />
    <OptionState Id="OUTLOOKFiles" State="local" Children="force" />
    <Setting Id="SETUP_REBOOT" Value="Never" />
    </Configuration>
As an aside, the msp files both had different names. I'm aware this is required.
Just thought I'd put this out there!

    Hi,
Is this an issue globally at your organization?
There are lots of reasons for this kind of issue - a corrupted registry key, malware infection, incomplete installation, etc. Maybe re-download the file, make sure it is complete and then try again?
By the way, for the issue of missing mapiph.dll, you can fix it by repairing your Office installation:

    Brad

You have to have an updates Acrobat XI. Previous versions of Acrobat do not work with OFFICE 2013. In that case, you will have to print to the Adobe PDF printer. We have no idea what version of Acrobat you are running and that is probably the issue.

  • How to get Acrobat menu in MS Office 2013 products

I purchased a new laptop with Acrobat XI Standard already installed. I have since manually installed MS Office 2013.  How do I get the Acrobat menu in my Office products?  We are a not-for-profit, so I usually purchase software separately and install it myself.  I would normally install Office and then Acrobat, so this has never been an issue for me.
Thanks for any help someone can provide!

A "Repair" did not work, however, had I been a little more patient, an "Update" presented itself, as they do nearly daily (!!).  After installing the update, the Acrobat menus appeared in the Office applications.
    Issue resolved!

  • Adobe Acrobat X Compatible with Office 2013?

I purchased Adobe Acrobat X in December 2014.  My computer died and now I have Office 2013?  I have downloaded Adobe Acrobat onto the new computer, but I cannot seem to get it to work?

I don't know the seller you mentioned, but I have some general comments
    - Current selling price for Acrobat XI Standard is about twice that (US$)
    - Adobe stopped selling Acrobat X the day they started selling XI, which was in October 2012.
    - It is entirely legal to sell old stock if you happen to still have it
    - If it is represented as the latest version, that isn't good
    - Legal old stock can sometimes be found as a genuine bargain. But it is unlikely to have support for the latest software and hardware.
    - There are a lot of people selling dodgy copies of Acrobat. Some very convincing boxed product. Some at full price. Some with serial numbers that were issued to companies for internal use. All sorts of ways to scam.
    - Serial numbers that are sold without the right, tend to get blocked by Adobe and also might not work for an upgrade
    - If you contacted Adobe they might be able to offer a view on your serial number

  • Option Save As - SharePoint missing in Office 2013

    Hi!
I have installed Office 2013 Professional plus on a Virtual machine. For some strange reason the option Save As - SharePoint does not exist. Only Skydrive Other web locations and Computer are visible. But on another VM also the option Sharepoint is visible.
    Excel version 15.0.4535.1507
Sharepoint 2013 Enterprise Edition is installed on the same server
So far no rescue on google.
Has anyone seen this problem and knows how to deal with it?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
The option Save As - SharePoint would not exist when Office 2013 initial installed.  After you save a file to a SharePoint library for the first time, you can click
Save as you do for any file. This is by design.
    Thanks.

  • My Windows Store (beta) is missing MS Office 2013 Preview apps

I used to have Win 10 TP (9926) on dual boot setup, and I had MS Office 2013 Preview apps installed.
Lately I removed the dual boot and installed Win 10 TP as the sole OS. At the same time I installed various programs I use regularly, one of which is MS Office H & S 2007.
Only today while reading a question about 2013 Preview apps, I decided to look for them in the Beta Store.
The 2013 Preview apps are no where to be found.
Not that it matters. I just wonder what happens ?

Have you tried typing "office" in the search box up at the top?  That's how
    I found them.
As for the apps them selves, they worked once for me and never again, no
matter what I do. (some apps work, some don't in my installs)
    Bob Comer
That will give me my installed 2007 version, not the 2013 Preview.

We have the services ActiveSync, Autodiscover, Outlook Anywhere, OWA and they're all working with no errors.
