Action before rendering

Hi guys
Does any one know or have an idea on how to run a javascript function on "action before rendering" on a webtemplate?
I know, I can run an instruction command but ther is no option to run a javascript function from the properties of the webtemplate.
Thanks
Shlomi

No setting that Iknow of.  Typically, you would use VBA code to act on the wkbk data before displaying it.

  • Adobe After Effects CS6 takes FOREVER to lock existing frames before rendering

    My After Effects CS6 locks up for 3 minutes "Locking Existing Frames" before it even begins to start rendering, every time I need to preview anything - even at the lowest possible quality.
    The render goes perfectly normal - it is not the rendering that is the problem - it is the "Locking Existing Frames" process BEFORE rendering that freezes up my computer for 3 minutes, and ruining my life.
    I am using Adobe After Effects CS6 on a Mac Book Pro with a 2.9 GHz Core i7 processor (2 cores) and 8 GB of RAM.
    Please help me understand what is happening when it is "Locking Existing Frames," and what some solutions could be to reduce the amount of time it takes to do this.
    ALSO: I have scoured the Web for hours looking for the answer to this problem, and to this point it has never been solved.  If you can solve this issue, Adobe should give you a promotion and $1 million.

    Hi Rick and Greg,
    Thanks for the quick responses.  Below are all the details to all your questions.  Also - just to emphasize again - my rendering goes super awesomely fast.  It is not the rendering.  It is the "Locking Existing Frames" process before the rendering that is ruining my life.
    FREE MEMORY:
    This is brand new Mac Book Pro with hardly anything stored on it.
    The 8 GB of RAM is split into 2 memory slots, each with 4GB of RAM
    3RD-PARTY CODECS:
    I am not aware of any third-party codecs in this system.  I imported some fonts (ITC Franklin Gothic) and some video files (see below), but I am not aware of any third-party codec installed on this system.
    DISC CACHE:
    My Disc Cache is enabled
    My maximum disc cache size is 69 GB
    I do not have a seperate "fast hard drive" or "SSD" seperate from my main hard drive, where I store my footage.
    MPEG SOURCE FILES:
    If by source files, you're asking about the video files I imported:
    2 MP4s (5 sec. each)
    3 QuickTime .mov (3 sec. each)
    1 Audio-only FLV. (2 minute background music throughout video; used to be a Premiere working file)
    MULTIPROCESSING
    Turned off, but still locks up forever before rendering.
    ADDITIONAL FUN FACTS:
    Here are some additional observations that might help:
    It doesn't just take a long time to start rendering; it freezes my entire computer for the duration of the "Locking Existing Frames" process - putting my entire life on hold for 3 minutes, every time I need to preview a minor detail... It's a nightmare.
    The video is 1 min. 45 sec. long so far, and has 15 sec. to go.
    The video is comprised of 99 percent motion graphics, and 1 percent actual footage (Occupy Wall Street hates my footage)
    The complexity in this video is that there are a lot of compositions inside of compositions inside of compositions, but even when I go to the very beginning of the first comp - where the only animation is a line being drawn with the "Stroke" effect - it still takes 3 minutes to "Lock Existing Frames."
    Again... The rendering goes super fast after the "Locking Existing Frames" process.  The problem is NOT with the rendering.  The problem is the "Locking Existing Frames" process BEFORE the rendering starts.
    This is my job and I can't do efficiently until I solve this problem, so I will be very responsive until we can identify the issue.
    Thanks again for all your helpful responses!

  • Flash Player use to execute the main class entry point before rendering. Now it does not

    Adobe Flash Player use to execute the main class entry point before rendering the first frame. Now using the latest browsers and Flash Player 11.8 (11.8.800.94, or 11.8.800.97 for Chrome).
    With one of our swf apps, there are visual display objects on the first frame of the timeline. When the main class constructor is executed, those display objects are set to visible = false. So previously those display objects were never displayed because the first frame did not render until after the main class code was ran.
    Now when we browse to the our website, we find that those display objects are visible for a split moment of time (such as a quarter of a second).
    It appears that this may be a bug. We are wondering this could be new behavior based on loading/unloading the swf to optimize CPU usage and that Flash Player is taking a snapshot of the internal state of the first frame and displaying the cached snapshot before it actually loads.
    So...Chris (or other Adobe representative), is Flash Player supposed to be rendering the display before any code executes it runs the main class?

    Not that I'm aware of.  If this is something that just started with 11.8, then we could be running into some sort of bug injection.  Could you please open a new bug report on this over at bugbase.adobe.com?  When adding the bug, please include sample code, application or URL so we can quickly test this out internally.  If you'd like to keep this private, feel free to email the attachment to me directly ([email protected]).
    Once added, please post back with the bug number and we'll investigate from there.

  • Modifying text before rendering

    In my application there are different use cases where it would be good if I could modify the text before rendering without actually altering the textflow. For example if you want to implement faux small caps by using a style name (example: <p styleName="fauxSmallCaps">Heading</p>). So it would be nice if you got the paragraph as a text flow to export a clean version of it, but if you render it it would be something like <p>H<span fontSize="12">EADING</span></p> so that it would be rendered correctly.
    It would be also a nice way to create automatically numbered lists or headings, but then it would be necessary to create a type of text that isn't selectable and changeable.
    Is there a way to implement something like this without using hacks like a hidden TextFlow that contains the clean code and/or layering another TextFlow on top of the current one?

    You could try implementing a IFormatResolver on TextFlow and using that to generate attributes on your styled text.  That exporter would export  your markup as you've written it.  The format resolver allows for rendering with attributes based on the style.  Even that may not be quite right as it doesn't allow for splitting spans based on a style into separate formatted spans - at least I hadn't thought about that case - might not be that hard but would take some investigation.

  • 3D: how to see the effect of adjustments before rendering?

    Most of the time, before rendering, I can not see the effects of some material adjustments I made (like textures, reflections etc) on my objects ... I can see them only after rendering.
    As I don't have any experience with any other 3D programs, I don't know whether or not this is a normal behaviour ... or is it a Photoshop specific problem?

    As explained multiple times in your SDK - you cannot do that.

  • Since I upgraded to ios 7.1.1 I'm not getting notification alerts that require an action before proceeding?

    For example in the notification center it says you can set an app up to trigger an alert that requires an action before proceeding and I'll get them if the screen is locked but if I'm using the phone then the only way I will know about a text msg etc is if I happen to see the badge icon with the red numbers. Any help would be much appreciated. And yes everything is set up to trigger those in the notification center. Thx!

    Ok, thanks for taking my questions. I'm sorry I wasted the USD 700. As I said earlier, I am very frustrated. I appreciate the courtesy of replying in Portuguese

  • Can you color correct before rendering?

    This is a simple beginner question.
    Lets say I make something that's 20 min long with a lot of cuts and I want to color correct the whole thing as one. Is there a way to do that before rendering it out or will I have to render it out for several hours, import it back in, color correct and then render it out a second time?

    If you're using Premiere cs6 you can simply use a adjustment layer for doing this color correction task. Just take the adjustment layer and extend it on a video track over top of all your video clips and put your desired CC effect on the adjustment layer then you're ready to roll.
    If you don't have Premiere Pro cs6 and you have cs4 cs5 or you have 5.5 then you can create a new sequence that matches your exact settings used in your original sequence, then take your original sequence and drag and drop it into your new sequence/timeline and then stick the color correction effect on your old sequence once it's inside the new sequence you just created.

  • Struts Actions before hitting index.jsp

    Hi Guys,
    In my struts project i specify in my web.xml that index.jsp is the first page.
    This is fine but i want to load some data up before index.jsp is rendered i.e i want an action to be called that will forward to this index.jsp page.
    How can i set this up?

    The first thing you will need to do is create an Action class which extends org.apache.struts.action.Action, which does whatever you need it to do. You probably already have this. Let's assume it's called MyAction and is part of the MyPackage package. The return value should be
    return actionMapping.findForward(forward);
    where forward in this example is either the String "success" or "error".
    Assume our new start up page will be called 'init.jsp'. Modify the welcome-file-list attribute of the web.xml file like so:
    <welcome-file-list>
    <welcome-file>init.jsp</welcome-file>
    </welcome-file-list>
    Now crack open struts-config.xml. Create a new global forward
    <global-forwards>
    <forward
    name="init"
    path="/init.do"/>
    </global-forwards>
    Now create a new action mapping
    <action-mappings>
    <action
    path="/init"
    type="MyPackage.MyAction">
    <forward name="success"
    path="/index.jsp"/>
    <forward name="error"
    path="/pages/Error.jsp"/>
    </action>
    </action-mappings>
    Now finally create the init.jsp file. It will consist of these two lines:
    <%@ taglib uri="/tags/struts-logic" prefix="logic" %>
    <logic:redirect forward="init"/>
    I think that should do it for you.

  • Video not showing after video finished rendering.. worked before rendering

    after editing a project to burn to dvd ... creating the fbi warning, the opening menu and the submenus... all with motion... and all working fine, i uploaded the video ... and before it finished rendering, the video worked like a champ.... now after the rendering is over, and i click "simulate" to view the project ... the fbi warning works just fine ... but the actual movie itself does not. the audio works fine ... and can be heard clearly... but the video is nothing but completely black.
    even when i scroll the video editing section where i chaptered it and what not, the video will not move. it just stops at the screen frame where i placed the mouse to start the video... but the audio continues.
    i'm sure this is a setting i have overlooked as i've already authored DVD's before and never had this problem.
    i thought the video was bad and even reloaded the video and let it render again .... anyone have any suggestions?
    imac g5   Mac OS X (10.4.8)

    update::: figured out that the video was somehow corrupt. doesn't make any sense... but i just deleted and reloaded it and it works now...
    new issue ::: when going to burn the DVD ... now i keep getting into the 20% range and then it says "video bitrate too high" ... so i've adjusted that repeatedly on the preference menu of studio pro ... and still getting the same issues.

  • JSF action before the page is displayed?

    Hi all,
    What's the best way to execute a backing bean method before the page is rendered?
    I have to fill out some selectOneMenus on the page with a backing bean method.
    Will the onload JavaScript function in the <body> tag do this for me? How does one call a JSF method from JavaScript?
    Thanks for any help!
    Illu

    Why not just bind the value of a selectOneMenu to a list of SelectItems, like this:
                        <h:selectOneMenu styleClass="selectOneMenu" id="acctprodMenu" value="#{accountServiceMappingAction.mappingBean.acctPrdId}" >
                             <f:selectItems value="#{adjustmentsInit.accountProducts}"/>
                        </h:selectOneMenu>      Where in the adjustmentsInit bean, there is a method like this:
         public List getAccountProducts() {
              ArrayList temp = new ArrayList();
              Iterator itr = someService.getAccProdList.iterator();
              while (itr.hasNext()) {
                   AccountProduct acct = (AccountProduct) itr.next();
                   SelectItem item =
                        new SelectItem(
                             new Integer(acct.getAccountProductId()),
                             acct.getAccountProductName());
                   temp.add(item);
              return temp;
         }This way, once you load the page, it will have what you need in it.

  • How to create JSF UIComponent tree before rendering phase?

    Hello,
    The JSF lifecycle create the JSF UIComponent tree (I mean : parsing the JSP to buid the JSF component tree) during the restore phase if the request is a postback else during the render phase.
    In my application, I need to link JSF component with error message (coming from business layer) like :
    FacesContext.getCurrentInstance().addMessage("form1:v1", new FacesMessage("Test!"));To do that, the JSF component with the Id"form1:v1" must exist! And that not the case if the request is not a postback.
    A solution should be to build the JSF component tree just before the rendered phase by implementing the a custom PhaseListener. But i dont know how to force JSF to build the JSF component tree?
    Is it possible? Other solution?
    Thanks!

  • I want to initialize  objects in action before showing a page.

    which method I should override when I want to display a page in adf 10.1.2?
    I am working with adf 10.1.2 including struts and UIX.
    the execute method can not be override,which method should I override?
    I want to change the where clause of a view object before display a page.
    for example : a customer can only see the infomation of himself.so I want to set the where clause to customer_name = 'abc' in the action of the page.

    I really was hoping that was not the answer, but it is what it is.
    This update is really a step backwards for productivity. I love doing most of my work with hot keys, and this pane is disrupting my flow. I can see how it would be useful for some people, but I do hope they allow for customization in the future.
    Thanks.

  • Take action before destory

    Hello, I am so confused with my current problem. Actually, I need to tackle some attributes in session just before destory.
    However, using HttpSessionListener is not OK, as its destory action is called after destory. Choosing HttpSessionAttributeListener is also not a good idea, as this listener may invoke many many time when any attributes are added or replaced. Any suggestions.

    I attach the HttpSessionListener to the object type itself that I store in the session. That way, when the session is invalidated, the object instance that is being tossed can handle any cleanup of its instance fields.
    Here is how I handle it. You can always just implement HttpSessionListener on each object if you already have a parent class. This implementation works fine in WebSphere4.0, so I can only assume that it would work elsewere.
    public abstract class Saveable implements HttpSessionListener
       public void valueBound(..){}
       public void valueUnBound(...)
           save();
       public abstract void save();
    }
