Once you define your GRE and enter all the information(Others button), you're good to go.

Independent delivery numbers for each Inventory Organization.

Hi.
To all the community.
We have an EBS instance with multiorg. We have 3 companies, and each company has its set of books, operating unit and inventory organization.
Actually, the EBS is seeting up in a way that is giving a unique delivery number (for all operating units --> for all inventory organizations) from a unique sequence, when the user is making the picking release.
Actually, the spanish authorities has established that each company must have a unique sequence for the delivery number when we make the picking release.
My question is if is it possible to setup the EBS in a way where each company
have its own sequence for the delivery number, in order to have a separate
sequence number, not overlapped between them.

you can try creating a document category for table WSH_NEW_DELIVERIES, and then assign individual document sequence for each operating unit. See if this works.

Help - Item Assignment at Inventory Organization level from the Interface

Hi,
I have developed an Inventory Item upload Interface (MTL_SYSTEM_ITEMS_INTERFACE Table) for Oracle Apps R12.
It works fine in uploading the Items to Master Org which the template is created. But When I tried to upload at Inventory Organization level it returns an error says 'Template or Template ID is not assigned for the Organization'.
How can I assign/upload the Item at Inventory Organization Level? I have already tried the Organization Item Assignment Report, It works fine and assign the Items to relevant Organizations. But the parameters are Item Range which I cant use those parameters.
Please help me to Upload items at Inventory Organization level from the Interface.

open any delivery.
1. select any delivery item number( double click).
2. go to text tabstrip of the item.
3. select the text type and double click on the blank space where we write some texts will give you new screen for writing text will give you text screen.
then in menu: goto->header will popup screen with details given below.

Header Conditions for New Purchasing Organization

Hi colleagues!
I have configured a new purchasing organization for our company. We have also created new purchasing groups, number ranges and doc types for the new purchasing orga and the related release procedure. However, when we tested our configuration, Header Condition Types in ME21N do not appear. Where can we check or configure it?

Important hardware items for new pc

I want to buy a new PC.
Which PC components are especially important for a fast PC. I use PS CS6 + ACR 7 * for photo editing.
It is about an affordable PC (about € 800, -) .... not an expensive SUPER-HIGH-END
I think of eg:
Intel i5 or i7 .... what type
What video card? ....
Which memory + how many 8 ... 12 MB
Other important things ......

Balance is important if you want to make the most of your $800. Perhaps the Tom's Hardware builds would be a good place to start.

Except I just looked at the specs and was not altogether convinced, but they did qualify the build as being for Gaming.     Although I actually like 'gaming' focused systems for Photoshop type usage, so long as they use a single GPU. Something to do with economy of scale, I suspect, but they seem to offer a lot of bang for your buck.

Don't worry too much about the thought of over clocking. So long as your temperatures are kept under control, a sensibly pushed CPU is not going to lose significant lifespan. And a lot of boards come with software that automatically ups clock speed only when needed.   There are free apps like Speccy that keep an eye on things for you, and MSI Afterburner that will keep the GPU fan ticking over until it is needed. That last one is a biggy - my computer goes from a bearable hum, to "is there a hovercraft landing outside?" when GPU intensive tasks are performed.
The great thing about computers is that, being modular, they are so easy to upgrade as and when you can afford it. So try not to fill all your RAM slots. 8Gb should be considered a minimum, and 12 or 16Gb would be better. I used to be unconvinced by the need for so much RAM, but having to use my laptop for the last couple of weeks, demonstrated that 16Gb was most definitely OTT.
Think about adding a spare drive just for Photoshop Scratch, down the road. Heck I'd give you one of you were local to me.
Windows 7 or 8???? Hmmmm....    Call me shallow, but I did quite like using Windows 8 on the laptop. although the upgrade to 8.1 caused me some hassle. Then again, I think I am happier being back on my main system with Windows 7. It feels cleaner and I don't have to keep flicking between the desktop and Start screens.
Perhaps the laspt word could be for you to run your short list by us before committing. I found our NZ equivalent of eBay useful when researching my laptop as you can filter by spec, and shortlist by adding to your Watch list. Whatever you get, you are going t love it with knobs on. It's going to feel fresh, snappy, and a pleasure to use.

MI02 : new items for a document with item already counted

Dear.
I try to insert new items for an inventory document.
This document have items already counted.
The system send this error message M7706 : Items already counted (no new items possible).
Do you know a solution to avoid this error message ?

M7706 is a hard coded error message, you cannot control it via message attributes.
What you can do is to do a re-count via transaction MI11 with reference to this inventory document. In this case you will be able to add new items, however, you have to enter the counted amounts for the existing items again.
But in my opoinion it's easier to create a new PID as suggested by Jurgen.

Creating Requisition for items, with no "Inventory Asset Value"

Is it possible to create the Internal Requisition for items for which inventory asset value flag is disabled.
the requirement is that the item should be stockable, inventory, transactable but no asset value has to be calculated.
If I disable the flag the cost manager is unable to update the cost price after receiving in store,
and if there is no cost value then how can i create internal requisition.

Thanks for the response.
You are correct that the costing manager will not calculate the cost price if the flag is disabled, now the requirement is we want to take in the items through PO at central org and distribute to other org's where they can consume this item, and we want to track the quantity and also it should effect the accounts, and item should not present in inventory value report.
Do we have any option for this scenario.

hello there i am trying to define a new inventory organization. i have created inventory organization. i opened organization parameters and in the inventory parameters tab, when i tried to enter calendar, it is saying list of values has no entries. it is giving following error:
frm-41830: list of values contains no entries.

Action Item from Meeting Minutes

Hello,
I am using unifier version 10.1, I logged as coadmin and created a Meeting Minutes for a project. Inside that I have added line item, with 'create action item = Yes' (assigned to coadmin itself). But even after posting Meeting Minutes, no action item created.
How to create action item for that perticular line item?

Go to Admin mod and navigate to Action Items BP setup. At Auto Creation tab Setup, Creator and Action must be selected. Unifier will use the workflow selected here for auto created forms.
Also at Meeting Minutes setup in Auto Creation tab select Action Item created. Here you can define condition based auto creation, example you can create Action Items only when Meeting Minutes has a certain status.

Creating a new Inventory Org with predetermined ORG_ID

Hi,
We are in the process of Re-implementing 11.0.3 system to R12. In 11.0.3 there are some external systems talking to inventory organizaions based upon the ORG_ID. (Which is hard coaded in external system)
Is there any way by which while creating new Inventory Organization in R12, we can retain the old ORG_IDs? If not, how safe teh backend update will be?
Any help will be highly appreciated.

This will be delicate and you will have to practice it well but it can certainly be done.
Couple of options.
1) Just before going to the form, set the current_value of the HR_ORGANIZATION_UNITS_S appropriately.
2) Open the form and just before saving a new org, use help > diagnostics > examine to look at the value of the organization_id. If it is populated, change it. If it is not populated, then this option is not possible.
3) Put a trace on the form; find which tables are hit with an insert and then write a pre-insert database trigger to change the value of the organization_id. Drop the trigger(s) immediately after saving the new organization.

Hi,
If you go through the Oracle sites you will come to know that HRMS Suite has various modules like Core HR, SSHR, Performance Management, Learning Management, iRecruitment, Compensation workbench, Absence Management, Payroll, Advanced Benefits etc.
You will have to start with understanding the Core HR concepts which is the base of the entire HRMS suite where you define the core structures like Organizations, Job, Position, Grade, Costing, Hierarchies, Employee data etc and which forms the base of the other modules.
Post you are done with Core HR you can start understanding the Self Service functionality and Approval Management Engine.
If you are clear with these two modules, then you can pick any other module as per your Job requirement demands.
You can do this all if you have an instance to access where you can do hands-on. In absence of which learning will be not be easy. On apps2fusion site which I have already mentioned you can view the training calendar and check for any relevant courses if you want to under go training as the quality of training is very good.
Training is not a mandate and you can learn it without training also if you have the dedication and time by understand each and every action which you are performing in application and the impact of it.

How to correct journals for non inventory items

Hi All,
One of my client by mistake made a non-inventory item as an inventory item and used FIFO valuation.
Now he has created some 30 purchase invoices, goods receipt PO for it in the last month.
While doing month end they reconcillation they realized the inventory numbers are bloated and found this problem.
Now they have cancelled the old item defination and created a new one.
But the problem is how to correct the journal entries for the what has already been done.
Problem is that Cost of this item is wrong because it got created as a inventory item and was using FIFO.
Please suggest a fastest route to correct this problem.

I guess Inventory revaluation is not possible in case of Non Inventory Item. You must take the goods return on GRN basis......

Create a New Po Ship-To field...for a new Inventory org

Created a new Inventory Org..Now i am trying to create a PO in this inventory Org...i am trying to put the ship to field to the new org...but the new inventory org is not in the list of values
Does the invnentory org need to be configured to be able to have the ship-to use the new inventory org

Go to Master Item Form query the Item. Navigate to Organization Assignment widow and Check mark the new org you have defined. Hope it will solve your issue.
