Activate a replacement Gusto 2

I have a Samsung Gusto 2 that I just had sent to me to replace my broken one. It tells me to push send, when powered up, but a message comes on and tells me that I am Celluer, and must buy a calling card. Have tried for ALMOST 2 hours to get to tech chat.

  • Can't activate MAXX replacement phone

My RAZR MAXX was just replaced with a DROID MAXX (due to having no RAZR MAXX to send as a replacement).
The SIM card is a different size so I've tried activating it with both the card pre-installed in the phone as well as another card that was shipped with it.  I have a decent signal but when I turn it on and try to activate it, the phone says it can't and suggests getting outside (which I've done).
I've tried using the online activation but it tells me, "none of the lines on your account are eligible to receive the Online Authorization Code" so that's no help either.  I've selected the Activate/Switch Device option and selected my RAZR MAXX but then it tells me:
    Your request cannot be completed
We cannot process your request at this time, please try again later.
which is not particularly helpful.  I don't have another phone with me to call customer service and I'd really not rather have to go down to the store unless there's no other choice.  As I've said, I've tried both the sim cards that came with the phone and I know they're inserted correctly.  Any assistance would be great.

Fixed.  I was able to borrow a phone and customer service walked me through it.

  • Can I activate my replacement iPhone (UK) in Spain?

Last week, my iPhone 5 was stolen in Spain (my fault; who leaves their phone on the table in the middle of a crowded Starbucks?) and I have had news this morning from my insurers that they've accepted my claim for a replacement. Said replacement will be sent to my parents in the UK and they will then have it sent to me, in Spain.
My question is this: who needs to "activate" the iPhone? My parents already have the replacement SIM from Orange. If they send everything directly to me, will I be able to activate it myself with iTunes? Or do I need to ask that they activate it on the UK network for me before sending it? I've tried to find the answer online, but there's a lot of conflicting information. Some say that it's possible, others say otherwise...
I'm not sure if the replacement handset will be unlocked or not. I assume it may be.
    Any information appreciated!
    Thank you.

when your phone is stolen in spain that time it works with same orange?
if yes than this new one is also works..

  • Activate a replacement SIM from abroad?

Hi all, I signed up for a 12-month contract and received a SIM to replace the PAYG one I currently had. The saleswoman in the store told me that once my payment information went through and my info had been transferred to the contract/new SIM, my current PAYG SIM would stop working and all I would have to do is swap them and everything would be all set. My current SIM never deactivated and I left the country the next day on business. When I arrived abroad and went to put in my new 12-mo. contract SIM, I found out that I actually would need to activate it myself online (it wasn't automatic, as the saleswoman had said). I went online and then was asked to type in a code that EE had sent via text message as a security cross-check for setting up a new SIM to my phone number. However, I cannot receive this text message (and therefore cannot activate my new SIM) because I have no functioning SIM at the moment! Is there another way to activate my SIM (and also confirm that everything with my contract is set up correctly)? I have no access to another phone and need this to be set up ASAP!  Thank you.

  • I cannot activate my replacement iphone 5 ?

It says to choose Language - I choose British English
Then my location - I choose United Kingdom
Then mobile or wifi - I have tried both
Then tells me it may take a few minutes to activate your iPhone
Then it tells your iPhone could not be activated because the activation server cannot be reached, Try connecting your iPhone to itunes to activate it, or try again in a few minutes.
If the problem persits, contact Apple Support at apple.com/uk/support

The servers are getting slammed. Bunch of people trying to download iOS7 at the same time.
There is a chance activation servers might be down/slow for now. Just keep trying throughout the day. Some other forum users are experieincing similar things.
You can also try the apple document for activation issues, but I'd assume its server issues. http://support.apple.com/kb/ts3424

  • Can't activate applecare-replaced iphone 4 with previously working SIM

    Hi,
I had an iphone 4, purchased from apple online store, not locked to a carrier. It worked perfectly with a local carrier's SIM (Manx Telecom) for nearly 12 months, then developed a hardware fault and applecare replaced it no hassle. The SIM stayed with me.
The replacement iphone doesn't like the Manx Telecom SIM - it's an "unsupported card" or "unsupported carrier". Manx Telecom sell unlocked iPhone 4s from their own retail store, and the SIM was obtained from them. Applecare support think the replacement iphone is unlocked, and I've done an OS restore (it asked for a WEP key when I restored it, I think it's iOS5) but still itunes and the iphone say that the SIM is unsupported.
I've escalated this to applecare, and they tell me that the replacement iPhone *is* unlocked. I don't know how carrier locking works, and I don't suspect the SIM, although I'll get that checked later today.
I'm worried that this will drag on, and being from a small country with an insignificant number of people, this might get dropped into a black hole of "we've never had one of these before, it's not really a problem"
Any ideas? All gratefully received. Reports of positive experiences would be welcome, as woudl ideas on next steps if I don't get any joy from the current incident.
Thanks for reading right to the end!
    Pat

Applecare just fixed it. It hadn't been connected to wifi or itunes between last call and now, and they got it to accept the SIM, presumably over GSM. I am chuffed.

  • How do i activat/register replacement sim and find out my new number?

I recently had my phone stolen, so blocked my sim and have had a new one sent, i am on a pay monthly plan and need to register my new sim, however to do so i need to make a new ee account which involves entering my new number, which i do not know. I have been told to text 450 saying NUMBER in order to find out, however the sim has not been activated yet so my messages wont send. How can i get my sim to work with no knowledge of my new number or any way of sending messages to find it out? it is not on the sim packaging either.

    what phone do you have?
if it only displays the 19 digit sim card number then my advise would be to try and contact CS using the 07 number in my signature. explain the situation to them and they should be able to help

  • De-Activate/Re-Activate- Have to replace my boot drive

My boot drive has a bad block for the 2nd time in 6 months, so I'm going to replace
I will be cloning the drive via Mac Disk Utility to the replacement drive
I don't want to waste any Activations, so do I DE activate prior to cloning and then Re activate after replacing the new drive?
I assume this will count as only one Activation on one machine?
BTW, Adobe chat seemed clueless about this
    Thanks in advance,
    Marvin

Well actually I believe that activation is computer specific and not hard drive specific. So deactivation should not be necessary.
You can check with Customer support but you should be fine or just uninsall and reinstall. I believe if the activation has to be repaired it will be automatically done for you.
It might even tell such I had to do this once and so I could not deactivate the license I had to simply reformat the drive and reinstall and when I launc it the first time it told me the the activation had been repaired.
    That was my experience.

  • I can't sync/back up iPhone data to my computer b/c iPhone screen is shattered and i cant unlock it to enter in my passcode. How can I sync my broken iPhone with my computer and back up my data so I can sync and transfer the data to my replacement iPhone?

I can't sync my iPhone and back up my data with my computer because iTunes says to enter the passcode into my iPhone to unlock it, but I am unable to unlock and enter in my passcode on my iPhone because the screen is shattered. I have my replacement iPhone with me and I'm not going to activate it until I can sync/get the data from my broken iPhone. I have the envelope to send my broken iPhone back to the Verizon store or whatever so that's not a problem. I just can't sync my old iPhone with my computer.
    Thanks.

No I haven't synced my iPhone with the computer I'm currently using. The computer that I normally sync my iPhone with is being repaired.
I read a nearly identical question to mine (in which you answered) and I found my the answer. Thanks!
Now I have a few more questions: If I mail my broken iPhone to Asurion, will I be able to get my data off of my iPhone once Asurion has it? And what will happen to my old iPhone and the data on it if I activate my replacement iPhone? Will my broken iPhone just become de-activated and will the data be erased or lost or something? Could I still sync it (with the computer ir originally synced with) and back up the data?
    Thanks.

  • Just replaced a lost lumia 822 and now i can't get it activated.

What do I need to do to activate my replacement lumia? i was unable to connect to verizon or anything.

i'm sorry you're having issues with activating your replacement device btyg1119. I know how important it is to get that device up and running. Did you receive the phone from customer service or the Insurance company?  First ensure both phones are powered completely off? You can activate the phone online via My-Verizon http://bit.ly/xB4iTc . Here are some directions http://www.verizonwireless.com/support/myverizon/HowToAddActivateDevice.html?lid=sayt&sayt=myverizonactivat*

  • Virgin Mobile (USA) can't activate iPhones

I was having a problem with Virgin Mobile's 3G network not working on an iPhone 4s (https://discussions.apple.com/message/19229251#19229251). Eventually Virgin decided the phone was probably defective and that I needed a new one.
On Sunday I got a replacement at an Apple Store. But Virgin wasn't able to activate it. They can't find the MEID in their system, so they say there's basically nothing they can do. They said I'd have to go get another new phone to replace this one.
On Tuesday I got another replacement at an Apple Store. Virgin Mobile can't activate this one either, for exactly the same reason. I was on the phone with Virgin for an hour and 45 minutes and it was a complete waste of time.  They want me to go back to Apple for a third replacement phone.
I could probably do that but I don't know why it would work this time when it's failed twice this week already.
Virgin just keeps telling me that they're doing something or other and that I'll have to wait 1-3 days for any news. I've already been without phone service for four days.
Is anyone else having problems where Virgin Mobile just can't activate an iPhone? If so, did you ever get it resolved? They sell these phones and advertise them, but they don't seem to be able to actually make them work.

They finally got it working after five days with no service.
If this happens to you: That is, you try to activate a Virgin Mobile phone and they say they can't find the phone's MEID and that you need to replace the phone: Prepare for some frustration, but the following steps may help.
When calling Virgin's customer support, just ask for technical support immediately. Don't try to deal with their front-line customer support for this.
When you get to tech support, if they can't actviate the phone immediately, ask them to escalate the case. In my case I was escalated to tier 3 tech support and then from Virgin Mobile to Sprint (Virgin's parent company in the USA). At that point, things got fixed.
Don't take the phone back to Apple for a replacement unless you have some unrelated reason (e.g. if the phone is clearly defective somehow). Virgin Mobile won't be able to activate the replacement either, so it's a waste of time.
Keep after Virgin for updates on your case. They'll tell you over and over that it will be 24-72 hours before you get news, but don't hesitate to ask as often as you have time for. They told me 24-72 hours every day for a week. You can do this by email if you prefer-- send email to [email protected]
    Good luck! You'll need it.

  • Extend activation time for replacement phone

I am away from home and my replacement phone just arrived today. Is there any way to extend the activation period? According to the box, the activation period is only 5 days, but I will not be home until the weekend. Please help~

    @joeyc1223,
As long as you return the phone within 5 days of activating the replacement device you have nothing to worry about. We ask that you activate the replacement phone as soon as you're back home and returning the defective phone. If it will be more than a week before you get a chance to activate the phone, I suggest you contact us so we may remark your account.
    Hope this information is helpful.
