Activating QM, PM,PP, MM InfoCubes

Hi SDNers,
I need to activate, QM, PM, PP & MM InfoCubes, could anyone guide me through on this the exact steps especially on SPRO side like setup tables and so forth

Hi All,
When we are trying to add one of the characteristic info object into Infocube, the system throws following message. deleted the index ,then also same issue.

Process Chain taking long time in loading data in infocube

Dear Expert,
We are loading data thru PC in AR cube it takes data frm
PSA-> DSO->Activation->Index Deletion->DTP(load infocube)->IndexCreation->Create Aggregates.
In Index creation everyday its taking long time around 9 to 10 hrs to create it
when we go in RSRV and repair the infocube thr loading of data happens fast. We are doing it(RSRV) everyday. In DB02 we have seen dat 96% tablespace is used.
Please tell permanent solution.
Please suggest its BI Issue or Basis.

In the above steps insted of Create Aggregates it should be Roll up Process of aggregates.
You can ask the basis team to check the Table space in the transaction db02old/db02.
Check if there is long running job in SM66/SM50 kill that job.
check there should be enough Batch process to perform the steps.

You can deactivate a cube by deactivating one of the infoobject in it:
select one of the char in the cube
menu option Extras/Unlock infoobjects
The system will offer you to delete the cube content.
If you agreed, the cube becomes inactive.

Defining Queries on a infocube error

When i try to define/run a query on a infocube it gives me a error :
'You do not have sufficient authorization for the infoprovider XXXXX'
What can be done or what authorizations will be needed. The cause of this is that my user profile got deleted and i was gien a new user id i.e a new account was created. I have no idea of how to proceed further. Does any one have some idea about it.

The main 3 types of Authorization Objects required Here.
1) Authorization to USe BIW as RFC Destination .This is required you will login into BIW by as RFC By opening Query designer.
AO is S_RFC
and give the acess like this
Activity -

2) Authorizations to use BEX components onn list of Cubes and to specify what type of action
Here the main AO are .
S_RS_COMP and S_RS_COMP1
And give values like this
S_RS_COMP: Here user will get acess to Display and execute and create the queries on any cube across all info areas.

Data Load from ODS to Infocube

Hi All,
I have been trying to load Data from Standard ODS (activated from Business Content) to InfoCube (activated from Business Content). The records are present in ODS and it has been activated. However, when the load was scheduled and run for the Infocube, the data did not show up in the "Infocube" content and "Fact Table" as well. When I looked at Infocube->Manage->Requests, it showed transferred records as 21 (same as shown in the "monitor" of the existing request) and added records as 0. Similarly for other requests in the cube, it showed the same way. The only difference was the number of records (eg 178 or 48, etc). The number of entries for Fact table was 0 and the it is not compressed. The cube name is 0BBP_C02. Can any of you come up with an idea towards the solution to this problem.

Check start routines in the cube URs.
For example, in my system for 0BBP_SC ODS object as infosource I see the start routine:
LOOP AT DATA_PACKAGE.
    IF NOT ( DATA_PACKAGE-BBP_RELSC = 'I1129'
*    if shopping cart is approved
      AND DATA_PACKAGE-BBP_ORIGIN = 'B' ).
* and record originates in BBP
      DELETE DATA_PACKAGE.
    ENDIF.
ENDLOOP.
As you can see, records not conforming some conditions are deleted.
The similiar routines you can find in another URs.

Background Scheduling Problem

Hi everyone,
I am getting problem in the BEx reporting.After loading the new data in the respective data targets, it is not reflecting in the BEx Analyzer. I have created the process chain, and loading is done in the background scheduling. I can see the updated request time and date in Monitor. It is showing that data is updated successfuly in the data targets.
But when I execute the report after 2hrs, It will reflect in the query and it will show the latest updated records.
If anybody knows the reason why it takes time to reflect in query, please give me some outputs.

Hi Manoranjan,
If your data target is ODS, you can find the updated records for reporting only after activation. If it is InfoCube there could be some processs defined after dataload like create index,Stats and rollup if aggregate are present. may be this could be the reason...

2LIS_02_ACC , 2LIS_02_ITM and 2LIS_02_SCL

Hi Experts,
Currently we are activating Business content for Purchasing infoCube 0PUR_C01. The current requirement is that the client wanted to see company code as well in the cube.
The DS 2LIS_02_ITM and 2LIS_02_SCL does not have company code field, but 2LIS_02_ACC has.
I wanted to know what is the difference between 2LIS_02_ACC and 2LIS_02_ITM, 2LIS_02_SCL DS. I know I can modify the ITM and SCL to include company code information, but I dont want to do that.
Wanted to know if 2LIS_02_ACC is same as 2LIS_02_ITM and 2LIS_02_SCL. If not how I go about having Company code info in 0PUR_C01 cube.

Also if you need only company code, you can add it to the SCL and ITM extractors as well.
I believe for the two extractors the Company Code field(MCEKKO BUKRS) is directly available in the Pool, you have to simply bring it in and you dont need to write any code even.

Rollup in cube is taking very long time (BW 3.5)

Hi,
Rollup in one of our cube is taking a long time from what it is expected.
Previously this rollup was taking 2-3 hrs but now it is taking more than 8 hrs.
To solve this I even tried compressing the cube till last month but of no use. (this worked last year when we faced a similar issue but not sure why it wont help this time)
Through this rollup 2-3 active aggregates are filled up.
Is there any way to solve this issue.
I am using BW 3.5 version.
(PS - Can't use compress after rollup option.)

When ever you do a rollup of data to its aggregates, the system automatically deletes and rebuilds the indexes of the aggregates.
Now when you run the program SAP_RSADMIN_MAINTAIN with the above mentioned parameters the system skips this process of deleting and rebuilding the index of aggregates .
Hence you dont have to do anything manually except to rebuild the indexes of the aggregates(on the "Performance" tab when you "Administrate data targets" in the Admininistrator Workbench) once your process chain has run successfully .
So the steps should be as follows :
1) Run the program SAP_RSADMIN_MAINTAIN (One time activity)
2) Delete index (for infocube in process chain)
3) Load data into infocube (in process chain)
4) Create index (for infocube in process chain) .
5)Rollup (in process chain )
6)Rebuild the indexes of the aggregates(on the "Performance" tab when you "Administrate data targets" in the Admininistrator Workbench . (Manually) .
Note : You can always revert back the setting what you are maintaining through program SAP_RSADMIN_MAINTAIN by just filling the same parameters and slecting the Delete radio button.

A few master data datasources delivers this new object with attributes.
ZCONTRACT consists of time dependent attributes and additionaly this field ZOBJ_NO (object number).
ZOBJ_NO is compounded to ZCONTRACT, reason:

Characteristic ZDISCONT is time-dependent and has no relation to compounded field ZOBJ_NO.
ZOBJ_TY (object type) is delivered with ZCONTRACT and ZOBJ_NO from one datasource; at this place the valid dates are set constant.
ZOBJ_NO and ZOBJ_TY are non-transactional data relevant, meaning that there is no split or logic in the transactional data including these fields.
The business requirement is to report over ZOBJ_TY.
The idea was to use ZOBJ_TY as active navigational attribute in the infocube.
While assigning ZCONTRACT to the infocube, the compounded field ZOBJ_NO automatically is assigned to the cube.
Now, as there is no logic for this field ZOBJ_NO (and also ZOBJ_TY) in the transactional data, I recognized that it is not possible to solve it through this way.
Do you agree? Are there any other ways to realize this requirement?

ok, it get's a bit more complicated.
As I understood 0CML_CASHFLOW only returns ZCONTRACT, but not compounded to ZOBJ_NO. ZDISCONT is part of 0CML_CASHFLOW.
IF you follow the approach above, you have to duplicate your data from 0CML_CASHFLOW to new DSO.
Example:
ZONTRACT ZOBJ_NO 0DATETO ZOBJ_TY

2                  1                  1.1.2013   1

As you said is ZDISCONT time-dpendent.
So data in 0CML_CASHFLOW looks like that

Now you have to find for each contract the correct validity period from master data and create correpsonding records:

Problem with the data

I have uploaded transaction and master data and activated the masterdata but in Infocube it is showing the data upto 06.2006 but in the queries it is showing upto 04.2006 only. timechar in query is last 12 months including current month. ( This is for already builtin or standard queries).
What may be the reason.

No DataTarget found from InfoPackage Scheduler

Hi All,
I am trying to load flat file data into Info Cube from InfoPackage Scheduler in Production System. When i look the Data Target tab , it doesn't have the Data Target ( Info Cube ) eventhough my update rules are active from the infosource to Infocube.
I will appreciate for ur help and letme know how can i find my InfoCube under data target tab at InfoPackage Scheduler.

Go to Cube --> right click --> show Data Flow --> click the technical names On and see whether the flow is correct or not..
Create a new InfoPackage and try once again..

Query owner cannot change query

We are trying to setup security that will permit the following:
Display and Execute all queries
Create queries prefixed with 'REP'
Change and Delete their own queries
The setup below is permitting all of this except that the owner cannot change their own queries. The owner is permitted to create and save a query named 'REP12345'. However, when trying to edit the query using query designer, the user gets the message: You are not authorized to REP12345 Query '3'.
