Activation failed: CBS Server Error

Hi,
We have done the activation and transportation many times before. But now we hit this error when trying to activate:
<i>Activation failed: CBS Server Error: CBS failed to communicate with some other server( internal code: COMMUNICATION_ERROR).</i>
At the WebGui -> CBS -> Activities, if we want to view or search any activities, we will see the error like this:
<i>Communication Exception Occured. Contact System Administrator.</i>
Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

  • CBS server error

    Checkin and activate request was all working fine in NWDS for past few days but now we are getting below error
    Retrieving pending activities failed: CBS Server Error: The compartment for given software component is being initialized( internal code: BS_SC_META_DATE_NOT_AVAILABLE)
    When I checked cbs log at the file system level, we found this DB2 error
    DB2 SQL Error: SQLCODE=-101, SQLSTATE=54001, SQLERRMC=null, DRIVER=3.53.70
    In the CBS WebUI I see the below request type with queued state
    INIT_COMPARTMENT
    owner as TC.CBS.SERVICE
    Request state as QUEUED
    My last deployment is failed.

    Could you verify the following CBS configuration setting for me?
    1. The idlestart parameter of the CBS config should be set to false

    2.If this is set correctly to 'false'  maybe the request processing mode
    is set to 'OFF' for that particular buildspace (can be seen in the CBS

  • CBS Server Error (COMMUNICATION_ERROR)

    Hello,
    While activating an activity in NWDS, we encountered this error: CBS Server Error: CBS Failed to Communicate with some other server (COMMUNICATION_ERROR).
    We have checked the CMS_Admin user's password - unlocked it and changed the password. We also went through SAP Note Number: 896427 -- but along the way we are met with the same error.
    We figured that one aspect we would want to look at is look into the firewall settings for our server. What port(s) or resources do we need to look into in order for this to be resolved?
    All was working well - until we transferred to a different (sub)network.

  • JDI - CBS Server Error

    Hi,
    I create software component in SLD and a new track in CMS. Then I import my software in Development Configurations Perspective and create a new WebDympro Development Component. When I try to activate a new activity I have this error:
    CBS Server Error: The software component meta data are missing for some component(internal code:BS_SC_META_DATA_NOT_AVAILABLE).

  • Sign in failed - Unknown server error (-2) when trying to sign in to new playbook

    I get the message "Sign in failed - Unknown server error (-2)" when I try to login to the Blackberry ID page of a new playbook during initial setup. This prevents me from continuing and using my device. A similar error message appears when I tap "Forgot password?" which is An unknown error has occured. Please try again (-2)
    I have tried what others have done when they have unknown error (-6) which is turn off playbook and plug into desktop manager then update to reflash, but I continue to get the same error.
    I know my BB ID username and password are correct because I can login to the web with them. Not sure what to do next.

    Just to test the simple things first, did you try to sign in using another credential?
    If only yours fails, then is a RIM issue, otherwise is indeed your Playbook failure.

  • Request 0 of type 38 failed with server error - but it worked anyway

    I'm trying to modify the rights that a certain group has on a certain folder.  When I modify the rights (in Assign Security in the CMC) and click OK, I get the error:
    An error occurred at the server during security batch commit: Request 0 of type 38 failed with server error : You do not have sufficient rights to make the requested security changes
    However, when I click cancel and View Security, I can see that the change actually worked.  Why do I get this error?  Is there some right that I need to be assigned in order to stop getting the error?
    I'm logging in with a test ID that has the following rights on the folder:
         Add objects to the folder
         Copy objects to another folder
         Delete instances
         Delete objects
         Edit objects
         Reschedule instances
         Schedule document to run
         Schedule to destinations
         Securely modify right inheritance settings
         Securely modify rights users have to objects
         View document instances
         View objects
    The test ID has the following rights on the group:
         Add objects to the folder
         Delete objects that the user owns
         Edit objects that the user owns
         View objects
    We're using XI 3.1; I've gotten the error when testing this in both FP 1.6 and FP 2.3.  Thanks for any help you can provide.

    I just realized that I need to correct what I said.  The rights that the ID has to the group are as follows (more rights than I mentioned originally):
    Add objects to the folder
    Delete objects
    Delete objects that the user owns
    Edit objects
    Edit objects that the user owns
    Securely modify rights users have to objects
    View objects

  • Exchange- IMAP command "APPEND" (to inbox) failed with server error

    Not sure, but think I was adding a mailbox to the Exchange Server's inbox, and now I am hammered with repetitive alerts;
    "Some actions taken while the account “Exchange” was offline could not be completed online.
    Mail has undone actions on some messages so that you can redo the actions while online. Mail has saved other messages in mailbox “INBOX” in “On My Mac” so that you can complete the actions while online.
    Additional information: The IMAP command “APPEND” (to INBOX) failed with server error: An unexpected network error occurred.."
    Any ideas on how to stop the messages/undo/cancel, or anything to have Mail.App work again?

    This can happen anytime you give an IMAP command offline that the server is not able to fulfill once you go back online. Mail's less-than-helpful response is to keep retrying the command, without regard for the feedback from the server. And there's no way for you to revoke the command.
    In my case, Mail kept recreating a draft email that I had deleted. I believe it had an attachment that was too large for the server to accept. So Mail kept creating copies of this draft, pushing my account over the usage limit. I closed Mail, accessed my account through a different app, deleted all those copies, and emptied the trash. When I returned to Mail, it went right back into its loop, creating more draft copies until my account was again over the limit.

    I'm now trying another approach. If it works, I'll describe it. Mail has been launching for 14 minutes now.

    Sounds like the mail server thinks you are asking to delete the bulk-mail mailbox instead of some/all of the messages within it.
    How are you trying to delete your bulk mail messages? That is, what are you doing, step by step, up to the error message.
    What you should probably be doing is selecting the bulk mail mailbox, selecting one of more messages inside it, then hitting the "delete" key.

  • Sign in failed : unknown server error (-6)

    Hello,
    am facing lot of huddles with the initial setup in my playbook.. Now i completed the s/w updates and installed the new s/w. but now facing one more problem. when i enter my blackberry UserID and password on the blackberry ID page., i get an error message as Sign in Failed! Unknown server error (-6). wanna to know why this error messasge poped up ? and the resolution. I went through many posts on this and tried to install desktop manager 6.0.1 but failed in installing in my PC (XP SP 3). some issue with cerificate..as windows doesn't validate the certificate..
    I don't understand setting up the initial setup in BB PB is why so complex and miserable ?
    Please help me with strong solution.

I have purchase this divice and got my Blackberry plan activated from Airtel. I have followed up with service provide and could see that they have activated and has no issue from there side. Let me know why this issue persists. Error 1: while trying to configure emailActivation failed. An error was encountered when sendig the activation transmission Error 2: Whild using internet.Browsing over the mobile network is not included as part of your current sercie plan. Regular data plan will not work, ask Airtel if it's a BIS plan.

  • WSUS Role on Server 2012 R2 fails - SQL Server Error "Schema Verification Failed SUSDB"

    Server is Windows Server 2012R2
    After installing the WSUS role with WID, when running the post installation task it installs the SUSDB in single user mode, runs all its scripts but then when it tries to set it it MULTI mode it fails with the error:
    Schema Verification Failed SUSDB
    If I log onto SQL Management Studio and try to set the database SUSDB to MULTI user mode manually it fails with the same error.
    Detaching, deleting the susdb.mdf and .ldf files and re-running the post-installation task fails on the same error.
    Uninstalling the WSUS and WID roles, deleting the C:\Windows\WID folder and reinstalling everything once again gives the same error during post installation.
    Seems like a nasty bug.
    Does anyone have any ideas? Perhaps there is a way to debug "Schema Verification Failed" errors in SQL Server?

    If the WID can't access "C:\Windows\WID\Binn\DBVerify\SUSDBVerify.dll", this issue may occur.
    Please change the account of WID to local system account in services.msc, then restart the WID service.
    Then try to start the post-install again.
    If issue persists, please check the detailed information of WID log.
