"Active" checkbox in the BP master

Dear all,
May i know what is the "Active" checkbox used for in the left hand side bottom corner of the BP master ?

Gordon and Keith have correctly explained the checkbox.
Following is the consolidated details about the functionality of 'Active' checkbox :
In Business Partner Master Data, there are two checkboxes, 'Active' and 'On Hold'.
'Active' check box enables you to set the BP active for all the transactions in the system for the specified period. The period specified can be determined by the user. When the 'Active' checkbox is ticked, the fields to enter the period from and to appears.
However, you can add draft documents during the unspecified period as the BP would not be active for that unspecified period.
If you do not tick the box, the default status of the BP Code is Active for all the enteries into the system.
You can get more information about the field and its intended use from the Online Help which you can check by pressing F1 key.

    If you have maintained the payment term in the Purchase Order, it will overwrite the payment term which is maintained in the Vendor Master. If no payment term is maintained in the PO, then the payment term which is maintained in the Vendor Master will be considered.

  • Trace activated when creating the asset master in AS01

    Hi all,
    I created a substitution rule saying that if company code is 1000 and depreciation area is 01 and cost center is 1000 and transaction code is AS01 the useful life should default to 01 . I maintained this substitution rule in GGB1 and assigned this to company code 1000 in OACS .
    But when creating asset in AS01 iam getting a screen with trace and it is showing whether substitution is True or false and when trying to go back it is not accepting.
    Can any one explain why could this screen trace come in AS01 and if any settings should be done please inform .

    The Schema Role is installed on Root Domain and trying to install
    exchange on Child domain.
    1 Root Domain - 1 Child domain. both are located on single site.

    Hi Srinivasa,
    I guess, you didn't completed the initial setup schemaprep and adprep before starting the installation. You can do it as follows:
    1. Open command Prompt as administrator and browse to the root of installation cd and run Setup.exe /PrepareSchema /IAcceptExchangeServerLicenseTerms
    After finishing this,
    2. Setup.exe /PrepareAD /OrganizationName:"<organization name>" /IAcceptExchangeServerLicenseTerms
    3. To prepare all domains within the forest run Setup.exe /PrepareAllDomains /IAcceptExchangeServerLicenseTerms. If you want to prepare a specific domain run Setup.exe /PrepareDomain:<FQDN of the domain you want to prepare> /IAcceptExchangeServerLicenseTerms
    4. Once you complete all of the 3 steps, install the pre-requisities for Exchange 2013
    5. Finally, run the setup program

    On your computer's iTunes you should be able to edit your payment info by going into the Store > View Account menu option and logging into your account, and on your account's details page there should be a payment link.  If you are doing it on your iPad then you could try tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store on and selecting 'View Apple ID' on the popup - that should also give you a payments link on your account's page.

    I am also working on the same object .
    "GWA_FILL_ACTCAT_TO_MASTERCAT" is not a function module it is a Program so pl. go to SE38 and execute the program.

  • How can I have multiple-selection list box "select at least one checkbox" option active only when the section it's in is visible?

    Hi, I'm using SP13 and InfoPath2013.
    I created a custom form and published it to SP13 document library.  This form has many MSLB.  Depending on the checkboxes selected in the 1st MSLB, the other MSLB will either hide or show.  Each MSLB is in its own section.  The requirement
    is to have each MSLB to have at least one checkbox selected.  Well, the problem is that when that MSLB isnot checked in the 1st MSLB it is not visible and shouldn't require any checkbox to be selected.  However, the form can't get submitted instead
    an error dialog would pop up and ask user to make a selection for MSLB that is not even displayed.  Is there any way to fix this besides unchecking all MSLB to be not required at least one selection?  Thank you.

    I follow your reply post here and still doesn't work.  I also noticed your screen shot of selecting a field is not the same as what I see in InfoPath 2013.  
    Here is what I did, 
    1.Check At least one selection required for
    these Multiple-selection List Boxes
    as you want .
    2.Create a Formatting  rule for the 2nd
    Multiple-selection List Box.
    3.Add a  Condition as below:
    4.  I get a validation error if I don't
    select at least one checkbox in the hidden MSLB control when submitting.
    I think I'm following all the steps correctly
    but please let me know if I'm not.

  • Checkboxes:check the dish in one table-it checks off ingredients in another

    If you select a dish from a table of recipes (via checkbox) can you make it select all the ingredients for that dish from another table, your master ingredients list?
    I think it has to do with Boolean true/false, but checkboxes seems weird to me...they dont act like normal formula cells.....
    This would be really helpful for shopping/meal planning.........thanks

    Create a new table .
    In cell A1 grab the name of the selected dish
    In column B insert formulas grabbing the required ingredients.
    These formula would use the function VLOOKUP to extract the ingredients required for the dish whose name is in $A$1.
    I'm not sure that checkboxes are the good tool to select the dish because it's easy to have several boxes checked in a single column.
    I feel that using a popup menu would be a better soluce.
    If you really want to use checkboxes, it would be good practice to create a table with a single cell containing a formula displaying an alert if more than one box is checked.

  • Getting Segment in the Asset Master ( Using SEGMENT Badi and not Prt Ctrs)

    Hi,
    We need the field Segment to be populated in the Asset Master to get the correct P&L Statements ( The depreciation run, retirements etc to post to the Segments) . We are using the segment Badi: FAGL_DERIVE_SEGMENT to derive Segments and NOT the  Profit Centers
    However, the field Segment missing in Asset Master (Class). The field segment is missing the Time Dependent view while creating the Asset Master Data. This is so because in the Configuration of Asset Accounting --> Integration with GL --> Additional Account
    Assignment Objects is not showing the Segment field.
    According to SAP help, I CAN DO THIS as mentioned

    But, as mentioned in the SAP help link above, I am not able to find " Activate segment reporting in

    Hi, Activate segment reporting is available only in EHP5.
    If you'renot using EHP5, then you can't to update segment as well as profit center in asset master data.
    The only way is to put co objects in asset master data, and derive PC,segment based on this co objects

  • Open field for cost center on the material master

    We have a unique requirement in a facility we intend to implement plant maintenance in to track a cost center to a material by including the cost center on the material master somewhere.  Cost center is not a field on any of the material tabs we use for maintenance materials, but the requirement is just that it is tracked in a field, even if it's just an open field like a "user defined field" or another field not used often.  We realize there are disadvantages such as the field not being checked against active cost centers, but we are looking at options short of adding cost center as a field manually to a tab (which I believe would require ABAP assistance).  I don't think there are any other fields/tabs we are currently not utilizing but I could be wrong... The best option we can think of is adding it in a material characteristic so it shows on the classifications tab, but I thought I would see if anyone has any other ideas.

    Not sure what is the need of cost center on material master when you want to implement Plant maintenance module. Do you have any specific requirement for this?
    Ideally cost center will be derived from either functional location/ equipment (equivalent of material master) on to PM work order or notification.
    Can you elaborate the requirement?
    After all if you wish to go with cost center, then I suggest it should be at plant level as PM requires plant level distribution. You can add up a custom field and give the reference of cost center data element with help of developer.

  • Problem with checkbox in the selection screen

    Hi guys,
    I have a problem with the check box in the selection screen.When i select a check box then a field in the selection screen should be enabled for entering a value.Again if i unselect the checkbox then the field should be disabled for entering a value.I have written the code in at selection-screen output.
    The problem is when i select the check box ,the field is not enabled.But when i press enter after selecting the checkbox then the field is enabled for input.It is the same when i unselect the checkbox,after i press enter only the field is getting disabled.What could be the problem.Any suggestions please?

    Checkbox Indicator:Manl net worth tax val. field in the Net worth tax tab is optional in the screen layout rules for an Asset class. But the Check box is not appearing before the manual networth value field in the Asset master data. Could you please through some light on this why it is not appearing in the Asset Master even it is optional in the screen layout rules.

    First of all thanks for your response. The maintenance level in the screen layout is at Main Asset number.  Just for understanding, Even if the maintenance level is at Asset class level only the default values should flow to the master and it should be modifible at Asset Master level.
    In My case the maintenance level is at Asset Main number level, but still  it is not appearing. Please let me know is there any thing else can effect this field status?

  • " Item Category Group" in the material master?

    Hi,
    I'm going to use inbound delivery for purchase order, so I'm going to do it as follows:
    1) Create a new "item category group Y001"
    2) Create a new "item category Y001  (copy from ELN then change the movement type to 101, and set it relevant to putaway)",
    3) Replace the item category group in the material master with Y001
    4) Determine the item category via transaction 0184 as the following ways:
         "Delivery Type"  EL    + 
         "Item Category Group From Material Master" Y001    +
         "Item Usage"  V     +
         'Item Category Of The Higher-Level  Item"  
         ==>  "Determine New Delivery Item Category" Y001
    My question is, If I change the item category group in the material master, is there any effect to SD part?

    *If a group is configured specific to distribution channel, it has priority if the corresponding activity is distribution channel-dependent

    the difference between the two lies in the specificity to the distribution channel

  • Material value is been updated incorrectly in the material master

    Hi,
    In the material master for a material it has negative stock but the value displayed is in positive. I have activated negative stock for this material. This issue is occuring only for one plant and for rest of the plants it works fine as the value for the negative stock is displayed in negative for that material master.
    Please suggest.
