Adapter Engine test tool doesnt work

Hello
I try to send a message from runtimeworkbench
I chose Component Monitoring -> Integration server -> Adapter Engine
And I put the paramets of the message ( message interface,namespace..etc.)
then I put user and password
and the url is
http://server_name:52000/MessagingSystem/receive/AFW/XI
I click on send,I get a message "Messasge sent"
but the message doesnt appear on sxmb_moni
any idea how to solve it?
thx
Shai

Hi,
As you state, check the user you're sending the message has necessary authorizations. You probably got an HTTP error 403: unauthorized. For overview of http errors, you can refer here:
Try with user PISUPER for example. If you get past the authorization, the message should get to the IE.
Post any other problems if arised.

Gökhan

  • Adapter engine alerts are not working ..

We have been using SAP PI 7.1 version  and SP08 and recently i have been configured XI alerts . When i have do IE errors alerts are recieving in Alert inbox as well as to mail but when i try to create error in Adapter engine iam not recieving any alert . I had been gone through most of the links but didnt get any and according to sap Note 913858 :
Q10: I do not receive any alerts, but when I test the alert
category using the report RSALERTTEST, an alert is delivered.
    - A10: In transaction ST22, search for dumps caused by the user
XIRWBUSER stating that the authorization is missing for RFC
calls or for the function group SXMSALERT. If this is the case,
you probably have to regenerate the roles and profiles for the
    XIRWBUSER.
But same procedure i have been followed but ST22 i couldnt able to see any dump and when try to run the program by giving alert category Adpater engine alerts are reaching inbox as well as to mail. I have tried each and every configuration but some thing is missing here couldnt able to find it.Anybody help me on this.
    Thanks,

    Hi Enrique,
Check the targetURL parameter in the message header you are sending. Are the host name and port number correct?
A "connection refused" exception occurs when there is no service listening at the host and port you are trying to connect to.

    Hi Rao,
Exactly where did you specify the physical value for your logical directory?
It seems to me that you may have specified the physical value in the directory field in the File Adapter wizard.
The logical directory name ends up as attribute LogicalDirectory on the jca:operation in the WSDL of the service that you put together using the adapter.
Section "Specifying Inbound Physical or Logical Directory Paths in Oracle Enterprise Service Bus" of the SOA Suite Adapters guide states the way JDeveloper should now support naming of the physical directory. But JDev in this case does not behave "by the book".
Maybe someone from ESB product management can assist on this?

  • Stumped. Pan Tool Doesnt work from Audio File

What the heck? I'm teaching a course on Audio Editing, and discovered **WHILE TEACHING** that the pan tool doesn't work from within an Audio File. Not that it's a particularly practical place to use it, but it was just when I was showing the students what an envelope is, and they were extremely confused!
When editing a single audio file, if you click the "Master Envelope" button on the bottom left, it brings up VOLUME and PAN. Volume works normally, but pan doesnt work at all There has to be a good reason for this, though I can't think of one.

  • Conext Sensitive Help Test Tool Not Working

I have been trying to test my map files with the context-sensitive test tool, but am unable to get it working. I am running TCS 3.5 on Windows XP Pro.
I created a map files for Java in the project file and then created several test links with Map IDs. I am working with an offline WebHelp system on my C drive. I open the CSH Test Tool and located the index_csh.htm file for the WebHelp help system and then choose the Map Number. But when I click "Show Help," nothing appears. The hourglass comes up for a brief instant, as if it's going to load the page, but then nothing happens.
    Can anyone help?
    Thanks in advance.
    Douglas

    Hi, William:
Your C# API allowed me to successfully test. Thanks.
However, I was reading a bit more of the information on your site, and am still unclear why the deafult RH CSH Tester would not work. I was only using map numbers. Very frustrating.
I also had a few other questions, since this is the first time I'm creating a mapping file in RH:
    - Is there any way to batch test? Or, if the icons appear blue (indicating they are correctly linked) in the Edit Map IDs dialogue box, can I just use your C# API to test a few and assume that they others are also working?
    - Is this API set to open up the pages in IE by default? Mine is doing that, but I wasn't sure if it was your app or my computer settings. I'm in an corporate environment where we are supposed to use IE as the default browser, although I have FF installed, too. It keeps opening an IE window with a security message that says JavaScript is not supported and I have to click the bar at the top to allow ActiveX controls to work. I'm pretty sure that last part is a security setting I can't change here, but not so sure about the default browser choice.
-I haven't downloaded your API testers in other languages. Are they all the same with the difference just being language preference for the person testing it, or do some of them offer more functionality?
Thanks for sharing your great tool!

  • Test Plan Doesnt Work Well

    Hi,
How do I make the "Test plans"  (stcode = stwb_1 or stwb_2)  run the scripts taking into account the values of the "Test Data" (stcode =secatt). This only occurs when run straight from the "Test Configuration" (stcode =secatt).
    Regards.
    Diovani.

The only way I know to use the test data container with a test script is to combine them in a test configuration. In STWB_1 Test Catalog Management the test configuration can be added to a test catalog:
    Select the test catalog
    Change mode
One of the two insert buttons u201CAs Subnodeu201D or u201COn Same Levelu201D
In the pop-up choose radio button u201CTest Caseu201D and for Type select u201CeCATT Test Configurationu201D
Choose the test configuration you created in SECATT earlier.
Select one of the u201CVariant Selectionu201D radio buttons, e.g. u201CAll Variants excl. Default Variantu201D.
    Run the test case
When I do this it runs the script for each record in the test data container. Good luck,
    David

  • Sender File Adapter Not Showing in Decentral Adapter Engine

    Hi,
We have recently implemented a Decentral Adapter Engine on a windows box. The adapter engine seems to be working fine because my adapters show and seem to work fine in it.
However, when I define a Sender File Adapter that uses File Content Conversion message protocol instead of just File messaeg protocol, the adapter does not show up in the decentral adapter engine.
I made sure that Adapter Engine parameter in the Sender File Adapter shows the new adapter engine but that does not seem to be working. If change the Adapter Enginer parameter to show the Central Adapter Engine, then I can see the Sender File Adapter on the Central Adapter engine and it works fine. (Note: The Central Adapter Engine is installed on a Unix box)
Here are the paramters I defined for the Sender File Adapter:
    - Transport Protocol: File System (NFS)
    - Message Protocol: File Content Conversion
    - Adapter Engine: (new Adapter Name)
    Source Directory: (
    server/drive/path)
    File Name: purchaseOrder.txt
    Quality of Service: Exactly Once
    Poll Interval (secs): 60000
    Poll Interval (msecs):
    Retry Interval (secs):
    Processing Mode: Archive
    Add Time Stamp (checked)
    Archive Direcotry: (
    server/drive/path/archive)
    Process Read-Only files: (not checked)
    Processing Sequence: By Name
    Fiel Type: Text
    File Encoding:
    Operating System Command:
    Additional Files (not checked)
    Content Conversion Parameters
    Document Name: MT_Request_File_Data
    Document Namespace: http://nxy.tots/fg_admin
    Document Offset:
    RecordSet Name: Purchasing
    RecordSet Namespace:
    RecordSet Structure: Purchase_Record,*
    RecordSet Sequence: Ascending
    RecordSets per Message: 1
    Key Field Name:
    Key Field Type: String(Case-Insensitive)
    Purchase_Record.fieldFixedLengths: 8,4,2,10,10,12,18,12
    Purchase_Record.fieldFixedType: char
    Purchase_Record.fieldNames: Request_Action,Request_PO_Num,Request_PO_LN,Request_PO_Date,Request_Purchasing_Org,Request_Purchasing_GName,Request_Created_By,Request_Vendor_Name
    Purchase_Record.fileContentFormatting: trim
    Adapter Status: Active
    Advanced Mode: (not checked)
    Your help is much appreciated.

    Hi Alaa,
    look into this document:
http://service.sap.com/nw-howtoguides -> Exchange Infrastructure -> Troubleshooting: Adapter Engine 3.0 (Expert Call slides)
If the File Adapter works without conversion, then you should count the number of fields in a row. If it differs from the configuration, then it runs on error.
Another idea is to check the content type of the file. When you do not enter a File Encoding, then the file adapter assumes utf-8. If the file is for example latin-1, then the number of characters in a row are not counted correctly.
    Regards
    Stefan

  • Adapter Engine URL missing in RWB

    Hi All,
In my newly configured PI 7.0 system, the Adapter Engine URL is missing at the fol. location:
RWB -> Component Monitoring -> Adapter Engine -> Test Message.
But when I open SXI_CACHE -> AE Cache, I am able to see the url http://pidev:50000/MessagingSystem/receive/AFW/XI
I think that this means that my ABAP stack is configured properly, but JAVA stack has some problem for Adaptr engine.
Please confirm if I am right and how to resolve this.

    Hi,
    Are you using the FQHN?
Check also note #764176 if you have components missing on SLD.
Last, you may want to configure your system in order to check each of the steps.

  • Advanced Adapter Engine with Proxies Communication

    Hello there,
I have built a scenario with an application system and a web service using PI (SAP Basis 7.11) and the advanced adapter engine. I would like to have a communication without participating the integration engine, but with proxies and using ICO. No proxies used, the communication without integration engine works properly, but with proxies included it doesnu2019t work at all. According to the paper from Daniel Horacio Bianchin, given in April 2009, page 26, (https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/elearn?rid=/library/uuid/00a8defd-e400-2c10-faaf-8049d83d1e94&overridelayout=true) the advanced adapter engine is able to work with ABAP and Java proxies as well. What is going wrong?
    Kind regards,
    Heinz

    Hi Ravi,
yes, I have tried to use the SOAP adapter and after generating the communication channels I have generated an Integratd Configuration Object. The income message from the business system via proxy is forwarded to the integration engine, but the receiver determination failed.
    Kind regards,
    Heinz
