Add a new vertex at a given measure *** Please help ***

Hi
I would very much appreciate with some advise. I'm stuck and kindly request the advise of the forum.
I have a measured geometry (GTYPE 3302). I would like to insert a vertex at a known coord (X,Y) at a given measure.
How would I go about doing this? Any Ideas? Please advice

If you have the Pro Oracle Spatial Book (http://www.apress.com/book/view/9781590593837)
then take a look at page 194, listing 7.12.
There is a function to add a point to a line. You need to modify this one slightly to make it work for an LRS line-string.
Another way I think you can try to solve this, although I did not tested this, is to do it in one sql statement,
SELECT
SDO_LRS.CONCATENATE_GEOM_SEGMENTS(
     SDO_LRS.CLIP_GEOM_SEGMENT(your_LRS_geometry, startMeasure, givenMeasure),
     SDO_LRS.CLIP_GEOM_SEGMENT(your_LRS_geometry, givenMeasure, endMeasure),
     tolerance)
FROM your_table
WHERE ...Please, let me know if this is working.
