Add cookie to request

Hello @all
I have to write a servlet, which acts as a proxy. The servlet has to add a cookie to the request with user infomation and calls then an external Web Service. The result from the Web Service has to be delivered back to the initial caller of the servlet.
How do I do that? Has anybody an example?
I�m quite new to servlet, so every help is appropriate

The use of cookies is generally controlled by the client (web browser, web service, etc). The client may decide whether to use/read/store cookies or not. If the client user agent has disabled the cookies, you're lost. You can send as many cookies as you want, but the client does nothing with them.
I suggest to discuss this issue with the owner/developer of the webservice.

I also had similar issue couple of months back when I was trying to access a remote URL from a Windows service when the site does not exists in the server where service resides.
You cannot access a remote url (even though it is SharePoint server and also in same network ) from server object model.
SPSite can look in the current server only. here what is happening is SPSite will look for this in the current server DB and it is not finding this errror.
So please dont use ServerObject model for accessing remote sites. You can use Client Object model for the code /requirement you have stated above.
I wasted lot of time in finding a work around to make to work. It did not. So look for other options.

Add-on Transport request

When you want to use existing transports to configure your process rather than re-keying in the configuration. However, I cannot imagine why you would want to detail your configuration this way.
Maybe when you want to provide a level of confusion as to how the system was configured? It's sort of similar to when you put a BC Set on the Config tab. Without a document telling you what the BC Set is doing it kind of makes it hard to see the big picture.

Can't add cookies on Localhost

I am trying to save cookie and then read it in the same JSP page. But I can't read it, not sure if its been added. Here is the script below:

The browser is 'in charge' of determining which cookies get sent back to you. To do this, the domain and the path of the URL have to match the ones stored in the cookie(s) locally by the browser. So, the URL will determine what cookies (zero to many) are sent to the server on a particular request. (There are other attributes, such as expiration date, but on a high level, the above should be true).

Add cookies via command line on MacOSX?

Hello all,
Is there a simple way to add cookies to Firefox externally? As in is it possible to add cookies to Firefox via the command line on Mac OSX? Is there a way of running Javascript in Firefox via the command line, because if there is than I can use Javascript to add the cookie? I know you can open a website in Firefox via the command line, but I cant seem to run Javascript from the command line.

I don't think that you can do this via the command line.<br />
You would have to use an SQLite manager program to edit the cookies.sqlite database file.
You can also look at these extensions for some inspiration if you want to write your own extension:

I did read (yesterday in another thread) about a similar problem. I cannot test it myself as I accept cookies (from sites I visit) and do not want to delete all of mine for a test.
I do not know whether it meets your requirements, but you could turn on private browsing. I use that (or Microsoft's variant on IE) when I use public computers.

Add cookie to HTTP request header when calling web service

I'm trying to call web service using JDeveloper 11g. I successfully generated web service proxy from WSDL document. I can successfully call this particular web service's method "login" which returns "session_id", which then needs to be inserted as a cookie in the HTTP request header in later calls to other methods. This is how the HTTP request header should look like:

We are on cq5.5. We see this error intermittently. What is the best way to fix this? Cookie size seems to be adding to the issue.

How do I add cookies to adobe muse site?

Hello,
I am creating a site in Adobe Muse, which I also host through the webbasic adobe business catalyst account.
I want to add a cookies message onto my site and to that of client sites that I create.
I searched the forum and there appears to be a guide showing how to get the cookies set up in adobe business catalyst itself. However, when I try to follow the instructions, I fall at the first hurdle because it tells me to go into Site Manager and then into Pages. However, I don't have anything that says Pages. Mine only has two options; Web Forms and System Emails. The only thing in the Web Forms folder is Contact Form.
I have no idea how to get the cookies message onto my Adobe Muse site. Please...does anyone know the answer?
Also, if someone from Adobe reads this, it would be great if Adobe Muse had a widget for this...considering it is now a requirement for all websites that use cookies to be able to get consent. I hope it's in the next update.

The online content editing is disabled by default for sites published through Muse to BC and hence the Pages tab doesn't appear for you under Site Manager. However, you can always enable the Online Content editing feature by logging into the site admin -> going to the My Details section (by hovering over your name at the top right) and enable the option as indicated in the screenshot below.
Please refer to the following post for a reason as to why the option is incompatible with Muse (but doesn't affect any functionality as such if you enable it).

Can't access a forum - message reads; Unable to add cookies, header already sent.

Worked fine until yesterday, hadn't changed a thing but every log-in attempt is met with the following:
talkingh/public_html/forum/includes/init.php
Have tried re=sending, clearing cookies, disabling add-ons & various other tricks suggested by different websites, still nothing.
Any help greatly appreciated, though please try and keep it simple as I'm no IT whizz/

How to use FNDLOAD to add program to request group?

Is there a way to use FNDLOAD to add a program to System administrators > security > responsilibity > request.
I have try to use the following command to downlod this information to load it to other place but no record saved in ldt file:

How can I confine "Application"? which is under the field "Group" and how can I download all application named "custom puchasing" next to "Name"?

When migrating to another instance and want to add a concurrent program to a request group, I do it in two steps. Within a shell script, I call
1 - FNDLOAD to load ldt file (concurrent program definition)
2 - SQLPLUS to run an sql file that call FND API that install concurrent program into proper request group.

CUCM 7 - error when adding phone 'add failed [4910] Request unsucessful to licence manager

I have vmware workstation with cucm 7 running.
I tried to add 7940 but I get below error message
'Add failed.[4910] Request unsucessful to licence manager (please check the Licensing for further details)
On CUCM commands line when I carry out 'utils diagnose test' under validate_network I get 'Error, hostname is missing from /etc/hosts
Would really appreciate how I could resolve the above issues. I have read feeds on the Internet but not getting far.

Can you check replication status on your server, also take a look to

What happen here? anything change on your server networking wise? how lic are looking?
