Add error message to application log from BADI

Hi All,
I am working on a BADI......
As the txn is already adding its messges in log thru BAL_LOG_CREATE, BAL_LOG_MSG_ADD...etc......
after that my badi comes into picture.....and it displays the message in POPUP
Now i want to add my error message form BADI to this already created log .....
Kindly suggest...
Note..I tried to use BAL_LOG_MSG_ADD it got add but the display is in full screen...not in POPUP....

The scenario is.....
we are in an appraisal form thru txn phap_admin...
now for goal weightage.....there is a std check ...for entered value.....check value for multiple of 5.....
if we enter weightage as 4 ...system will make it 5 and a std POPUP will display stating that the value 4 has been changed....
this is a std log....
now i have to implement a badi HRHAP00_VAL_DET......for calculating the total weightage.....
I have to throw an error if the total weightage is less then 100%....
i cant use message type 'E'...in Badi...
so i want to add my error message in the std log...so that both message comes in one log/popup only.....
If you goto se80...and for function group HRHAP_UI_DOCUMENT....
you can seen the subroutine...
form f3100_popup_value_log_create
here the std messages are adding to the log.....
simillary i want to add my message too ..inside the badi....in the same log....

The message "ERROR: Request has exceeded its warning timeout" repeats continually and frequently. The problem stops occuring after I restart the OC4J, but it occurs again after some time. Anybody encounter the same and has solution to it?

I found that Email portlet create a new SMTP connection to the SMTP server every time initSession is called(constructor of class Smtp). These increasing number of SMTP connection finally hit the limit of the SMTP server, leading to incomplete execution of initSession, which cause the problem.
(call path: MailProviderInstance.initSession() -> MailAuthenticationModule.authenticate() -> Smtp())
One thing to notice is that, when I test it no mail is to be sent. There should not be any open SMTP connection. Thus I wonder if it is a mistake in the program code that makes these unnecesssary SMTP connections.
If so, would there be a new release of email portlet available?

How to Write Error messages to application.log file in OAS 10g.

This is my requirement.
During creation of PO item it is required to put a check if the Vendor is one among the Vendors in the table: ZTABLE.
If yes, it means that the PO is an internal order. Then you should check if the flag: GR Non-valuated is set for the newly added items.
If not, send out an error into the application log when the document is saved, so that the user is notified and it has to be checked to make the document complete for further processing.
I have implemented is check in the exit <b>EXIT_SAPMM06E_012</b>. But I don't know how to update the application log.
Could you please send some sample code to update the application log saying that <b>the PO is inetrnal Order</b>

OS: Redhat6.2
DB: Oracle Enterprise 8.1.5
getting the error message in alert_SID.log
PMON started with pid=2
OER 536879337 in Load Indicator : Error Code = 562604272 !
DBW0 started with pid=3
LGWR started with pid=4
CKPT started with pid=5
SMON started with pid=6
as well as continual following error messages in both alert_PID and PMON.trc

Hi,
As far as I am aware you should be able
to obtain a patch for bug 987647 from oracle.
to Stop the PMON error from appearing.
However they apparently do not see the recurring Load Indicator Message as a bug. It is simply reporting facts. The work around here is to user cron to automatically delete these messages from your log as they are harmless unless they fill your file system.

I had gotten a similar problem, except with "provider services", i believe, but i solved it by copying sqlite3.dll from E:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support to E:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support. doing that solved my first problem, but now i have been getting the error described in this topic (unable to load dataclass info... etc.). i tried reinstalling itunes (i already had 9.1.1, and thats what i reinstalled) by using the method described on apples site (using the "remove programs" tool in the control panel) and then downloading and installing itunes. when i opened it again, i still got the same error, and just now i got an error saying "the instruction at "0x00aadb6b" referenced memory at "0x00000008". the memory could not be read" it gave me the option to cancel and debug, or to press ok and terminate the program. I tried pressing cancel, and the popup went away but nothing else happened. a minute later the popup was back, so i pressed ok and itunes quit. Upon opening Itunes again, i got the very same error. sorry for the long post, but its really been bugging me. thanks for any help you might give, and if you need anymore info, feel free to contact me.

Do a clean reinstall and download a fresh Firefox copy from http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html and save the file to the desktop.
Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
You can skip the step to create a new profile, that is not necessary for this issue.

Error message after transfering CS4 from my old computer

I am trying to transfer my CS4 suite onto my new macbook pro from my old macbook pro. I transfered all of my files from the old to the new but when I try to open a file in the applications I am getting this error message:

Also, my cs4 installation disc does not work. When I double click the setup button, the icon bounces and then disappears. Is there a way I can download the program and reinstall the suite using my serial number rather than using the disc? The first time I installed the program, I had the same problem with my purchased DVD's.

I think you have used Time Machine to backup and move your data from old machine to new one. If so, your CS4 has gone corrupt and you might face such issues. You need to uninstall this existing installation of CS4 and then re-install CS4 again.
< Uninstall CS4 using its uninstaller from Utilities->Adobe Installers Folder
< Download and install the Adobe Creative Suite Cleaner Tool and remove the reminents of Creative Suite applications.
< Empty the Temp folder(Go->Go To Folder->/tmp)
< Empty the Trash.
< Reboot the machine and install CS5.5
< Download Master Collection CS4 using the below link but make sure first you read the download instructions properly. http://prodesigntools.com/download-adobe-cs4-and-cs3-free-trials-here.html
< Install CS4 and check.

by commenting above line in initttab file would stop messaging, is this would have any adverse affect on the database. As its a production server, so i am really taking time to resolve it. Your suggestions are welcome. If there is no harm in commenting the above line then i would go forward to comment that line.

after upgrading from 1.2.15> 1.2.17 have infinitely many errors in the log:
Err - System: sdsd: msgq_open: Error: mq_open () failed on msg queue / sdsd, errno = 2
Err - System: sdsd: open_control_msgq: Failed to open sdsd control message queue, errno = 2 (No such file or directory)
These errors occur repeatedly (300 times per minute). So I went back to the FW 1.2.15.
Does anyone have an idea?

Error message "the application APPLICATION_NAME can't be opened. -10810"

All of a sudden I started getting the error message "the application APPLICATION_NAME can't be opened. -10810" whenever I attempt to open an application. Sometimes all of the applications will work, but then all of a sudden one or two applications will turn unresponsive and I will get the above message whenever I attempt to open any application. Does anyone know what this error might be, and how I might go about fixing it?

Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode* and log in to the account with the problem. The instructions provided by Apple are as follows:
Be sure your Mac is shut down.
Press the power button.
Immediately after you hear the startup tone, hold the Shift key. The Shift key should be held as soon as possible after the startup tone, but not before the tone.
Release the Shift key when you see the gray Apple icon and the progress indicator (looks like a spinning gear).
*Note: If FileVault is enabled under OS X 10.7 or later, or if a firmware password is set, you can’t boot in safe mode.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including wireless networking on certain Macs.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem(s)?
After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

Could be many things, we should start with this...
"Try Disk Utility
1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu at top of the screen. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
*Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
3. Click the First Aid tab.
4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
5. Click Repair Disk, (not Repair Permissions). Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."

Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive & clear caches.)
If perchance you can't find your install Disc, at least try it from the Safe Boot part onward.
If that doesn't help...
Open Console in Utilities & see if there are any clues or repeating messages when trying to open AW6.
