Add-On PKG Applications Available - What Applications Do You Want (Wishlist)

Today we have multiple applications that run directly on the Smart Storage devices and can be installed via in the simple PKG process.   These are wide ranging applications that help with asset management, content management, e-commerce, web publishing (bulletin boards, wikis, etc), & e-learning systems.
Beyond what is is available now, what applications would you like to see?  We'd love to hear what you'd like to see.

OK, I've got Squeezeserver running now. For anyone interested, most files are automatically installed under /opt/share/squeezecenter, which seems fine. I had to move the files/directories that Optware installed under /home/slimserver to /opt/share/slimserver and edit /opt/etc/squeezecenter.conf to change the references from /home/slimserver to /opt/share/slimserver.
That allowed Squeezecenter to be started and retained all the runtime files across the NAS restart.
Then I had problems getting it to autostart after the NAS boots. I tried the example under the Cisco tech note about 'add your own entries to crontab', to create an autorun.sh script to issue the start command, but could not get it to work.
Then I found this link http://wiki.qnap.com/wiki/Install_Optware_IPKG and pretty much followed the instructions in the 'Running /opt/etc/init.d/* on startup' section. I'm no Linux expert, but I managed to get it working, without necessarily fully understanding it!
So finally Squeezecenter is running and autostarts - but hopefully Cisco will release an official add on in the near future.

    - The "Justification" field is important too. general statement like "It is important for us" may not look attractive.
    - After all, click on "Submit"
    This input collection process will last 10 days and will be ended on Wed Oct/31st.

  • We're now well into 2015!   What features would you want to see added in Eloqua 10 this year?

    Calling the Topliners community!   Please add your "wish list" features to this thread below.  To get this started, here are my Top 5 feature requests.  Some of these were lost in the cutover from E9, I know they are lurking in there somewhere!
    1. Bring back the ability to create new Profile Fields for Query Strings (utm_campaign, utm_medium, etc.)
    2. Bring back the old E9 Reports. Make Insight available, but add an interface to the E9 report console so we can choose which reports to use.
    3. Bring back the ability to add Profile Fields to Forms (e.g., IP address, Most Recent Search Keywords). So we can trigger conditional processing steps based on certain visitor profile field values.
    4. A single global setting to make Eloqua a true "opt-in" database. New contacts would be unsubscribed when they are first created. This can be done as a workaround today, but it's messy.
    5. Instant mobile rendering - get a quick snapshot of your Eloqua email and landing page rendered in different Android and IOS devices, without leaving Eloqua.
    These would make my life so much better!

    Eloqua actually has rolled out 2 of your "wishlist" items already
    2. Bring back the old E9 Reports. Make Insight available, but add an interface to the E9 report console so we can choose which reports to use.
    You should ask someone to turn on Power Tools for you. This way, you can still access the E9 reports you've built in the past. They've told us that we can't build new reports but I think I was able to do so still. If I remembered correctly, the E9 reporting for email metrics is different to the way E10 measures opens and clicks therefore the E9 email metrics reports does not match up to the E10 ones
    5. Instant mobile rendering - get a quick snapshot of your Eloqua email and landing page rendered in different Android and IOS devices, without leaving Eloqua.
    Eloqua emails can be previewed with Tablet View and Mobile view.

    Although this forum is an excellent resource for quick answers, it isn't always possible for participants to provide detailed solutions. Are there areas of Java i18n that you'd like to read more about, perhaps via a more lengthy technical article on the JDC? What are your suggestions?

    This may not be what you consider i18n, but
    I keep running into time zone problems, most
    recently with a customer in Germany. It seems
    that sometimes Java/Solaris picks up Daylight
    Saving Time correctly and sometimes not. I have
    duplicated the German machine's settings on
    my machine here in California, but it works correctly
    for me. We are using the same JDK exactly. The
    machines are not identical otherwise - the customer
    has a newer, more powerful Sun.
    A discussion of what needs to be done to get time
    zones to work consistently and correctly would be
    extremely valuable. Could it be a certain level of
    JDK (we use 1.3)? Some combination of Solaris
    patches? Environment variables to set? I can
    set a GMT offset explicitly, but we don't want customers
    to have to manually change this twice a year.
    By the way, see bug 4177450, which was closed 3
    years ago. Users on this forum are still reporting
    similar trouble. If this is due to user error rather than
    a bug, it's certainly worth a good description of how
    to do it correctly.

  • IMessage not working on iPad 1, says sign in, I click that and then it says what email do you want to use. When I try to change it, or click next, or even wait a few seconds it goes back to the sign in screen.

    Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

    If you want to add an Application to your Wish List on iPhone it is possible with iOS 7, you need to follow the below steps.
    > Open App Store on your iPhone
    > In App store open the Application which you want to add to your wish list
    > After opening the Application you should see a 3 horizontal lines on top right hand side of your iPhone screen (below battery icon) and next to that there is a Box with Arrow pointing towards up so Click on the "Box with arrow pointing upward" and you should see an option of Add to Wish List.
    To see the Apps that you have added to Wish List Click the 3 Horizontal lines on top right hand corner of your iPhone screen (below battery icon)

  • Calling abroad - Sorry this add on is not available

    Hi,
    For some very strange reason I am getting a strange message from EE when I have text 'CALL ABROAD' to 441. I am a Pay Monthly customer and I receive a message back saying "Sorry, this Add On is not available to Pay As You Go customers."
    However, when I go into my Add Ons page in my account, the add on has been added. Does this mean if I do call abroad, I will be charged at the new prices, rather than the older expensive prices?
    Also regarding London Underground Wifi, I have signed up to the London Underground wifi add on, receiving my username and password. But when I try to login to the Wifi on the underground, I cannot login and a message appears saying if I want to use the Wifi service, please call Customer Service. When I called customer service, I spent 55 minutes on the phone to them, for them to tell me that they can only help me if I am near thw wifi spot...
    Any help on either of these?

    To enable the form to be signed in Reader you will need to open the form in Acrobat; goto Advanced>Enable Usage Rights and then save this copy of the form for sending out to the users.
    The user should then be able to edit and digitally sign the form. They can then email the signed/saved pdf as a browsed for attachment or via the email icon in the toolbar. Note - if you have created an email submit button on the form, then unless they have Acrobat they could only return an xml file.
    The other way to do this however is to create a dataset by 'distributing' the form. This time the Email Return button will send back a full version of the form. During the distribution setup you will have the option to email the form directly or to save it and send it later,so you can send to users as and when or even post it to a website or intranet.
    When you receive and open the returned form it will ask whether you want to add it to the predetermined dataset (or if you want to categorise the returns into geographical areas for example, you could create new additional datasets at this point). If the form is data heavy however, the dataset will become very large and unwieldy pretty quickly, but you can export the data from it (including signatures) in xml format and import this into an Excel spreadsheet.
    To simplify the Excel xml import process I'd recommend you carefully structure your form in the hierarchy (LiveCycle) into the order you would want the data items to appear in your spreadsheet and switch off those data items that you will not need by setting the default binding for the irrelevant fields to "None".

    Exactly what is it you want?
    On the subject you state thet you want to turn off the phone's "personal hotspot" which is used for providing Internet connectivity for other devices by using the phone's connectivity thru the carrier's network. This is controlled thru Settings / Personal Hotspot (On/Off).
    But in the body of your message you state you cannot connect thru your carrier (connecting after SIM card registration) and you connect thru Wi-Fi. Which in turn connects via Settings / Wi-Fi and you choose the access point, with possible authentication, on the following screen once the option is On.

    With all of the applications available, what other applications recommended to use along with Captivate 8.  I do not heed to install all of them, just what I need.

    Personally I use both Photoshop and Audition (both in CC) a lot when using Captivate 8. There is roundtripping possible with those two Adobe applications. If you have a CC subscription try it out! And when needing HTML5 output, you can insert published Edge Animate files, to replace former Flash animations. As you can see in CP8, Edge Inspect can be used to test the output on mobile devices without having to publish or to deploy on a webserver.

    If i connect it to the computer it is fine for around a week then it starts asking to be connected again, Is their any reason for this? as it is very annoying espicailly when access to a pc is difficult

    There is a 20mb file size limit over 3G.
    If you can connect via wifi, there is no file size limit.
    If that is not what you mean, I have no idea-never heard of or seen a message like you describe.
