Add path to Classpath (using Eclipse)

Hi guys,
I have a problem with a school project :
I wrote a class inside a package(TEST) in Eclipse that creates for each request (thread) a new temporary unambiguous folder with the following path (in Windows):
C:\DOCUME~1\USER\IMPOST~1\Temp\
then my class appends a folder : \TMPx\ , where "x" is a random number.
In the latest folder the class creates a .class file ("Test.class") (identical for all the different folder).
I have to execute the Test.class file , calling it from the package "test" in eclipse (I redefinied the default classloader ).
How do I execute this class from my test package?
(I think I have to add something to the classpath but I don't know what)...

Error using eclipse from oepe with weblogic 12.1

I have written a very simple jsp and have tried to run it on the eclipse. I cannot start the server as it says jdk1.7_0_9 is unexpected. I have used the new server wizard, i believe, correctly and have tried to the path to java-home without spaces.
Can anybody help?

How are you deploying - from an IDE, or weblogic.Deployer or the console...?
With console....
Have you opened an SR with Oracle?

Path in Classpath not found

Hi, all!
When I create a Web Dynpro-DC, I receive the following warnings:
[Warning]: Path in Classpath for file _webdynpro_model_dynamicrfc.jar not found.
and the same for all other Used DCs.
When I then rebuild the project, none of the referenced packages can be found.
Anybody got an idea?

Are you building a local Web Dynpro DC with NWDS SP15? There's a bug in the SP15 installation: It "forgets" to copy all files starting with a dot (I have noticed that all .dcdef and .buildplugin are missing, I don't know if there are more dot-files). Because of this none of the local SAP standard DCs work. You can copy these files manually in a command prompt window. Makes sure you exit your NWDS before entering the command below while in the installation source folder that contains the "eclipse" folder.

Problem Exporting .Jar Using Eclipse

I have a small problem of exporting using Eclipse 3.2
First , i could , debug , run as application with no problem.
however after i compiled into jar , and i tried opening the jar file
theres no responses. what could possibly be the problem ?
my manifest file includes the main class of program and all external .jar files.

i can compile into jar successfully but the jar file wouldn't respond.

first , it says unable to access jar file .
upon deeper inspection i found that background processes is created behind thus the jar file been activated but the UI doesnt show up? any more idea of where my codes gone wrong? which seems perfect for me

Using eclipse to generate a class skeleton

Hi,
I'm using Eclipse to write some Java classes. I've already got the API for these classes, I just need to implement them.
Is there some quick way to make Eclipse generate a skeleton of the classes? i.e. I just want to give the signatures of the methods as input, and get a skeleton in return.

Yes, Go into the Window - Preferences menu and then work your way to the
Java - Editor - Templates section. You can create some templates that can easily and quickly produce class skeletons. For instance, this is my Template named SwingMain for displaying with a JFrame a class that subclasses JPanel:

1. I have a urgent customer encounterd a design issue and customer was trying to add 3 logical joins between SDI_GPOUP_MEMBERSHIP and these 3 tables (FACT_HOSPITAL_FINANCE_DTLS, FACT_HOSPITAL_BEDS_UTILZN and FACT_HOSPITAL_ATRIBUTES)
2. They found found out by adding these 3 joins, they ended with circular error.
[nQSError: 15001] Could not load navigation space for subject area GXODS.
[nQSError: 15009] Multiple paths exist to table DIM_SDI_CUSTOMER_DEMOGRAPHICS. Circular logical schemas are not supported.
In response to this circular error, the developer was able to bypass the error using aliases, but this is not desired by client.
3. They want to know how to avoid this error totally without using alias table and suggest a way to resolve the circular join(Multiple Path) error.
Appreciated if someone can give some pointer or suggestion as the customer is in stiff deadline.

Hi,
This is a common problem when you import projects to NWDS. Do like this.
1.Change to Navigator tab in NWDS and delete gen_wdp folder.
2.Switch to Web Dynpro Explorer. Select the Project -> Right click-> Select properties -> in the wizard select Java Build Path -> Select Libraries tab -> You will find jar files with warnings
3.Remove the jar and add the jar file with same name to the project one by one.
4.For each jar file repeat step 3.
5.Save the project
Or
removed the read-only property from all folders / files of the project and it solved my problem.

You set path so you can launch java by just typing java
instead of having to type the full path to "C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin\java.exe".
You pass the desired classpath to java when you launch java with the classpath option or set it in the operating system shell using the CLASSPATH env.var.

Using Eclipse project definitions to build the Flex SDK

It would be great if someone from Adobe could post on the recommended usage of the Eclipse project definitions in the development/eclipse/ subdirectory of the 3.0.x trunk distribution. I would like to debug some compiler modifications that I am working on.
I saw Peter Farland demo this setup at 360Flex, but was unable to capture all the details of the Eclipse configuration that he discussed in his talk.

If you go to the framework project’s properties, there is a section called Flex Library Compiler, you want to use a specific flex sdk (add a new sdk which points to the trunk, and use that) — you are probably building /against/ the wrong sdk, right code, wrong compiler.

Try changing the sdk for the framework lib project to trunk (you'll need to add a new flex sdk, name it whatever you want) -- it's in the project properties. It's using the wrong compiler.

I am running FB on top of Eclipse 3.3.2.

http://3.3.2.> I checked out the whole SDK trunk and can build the main ant task with no errors. I used the instructions mentioned above to create a Flex framework library project and thats where the error comes in. (I had tried to manually build a framework project a few times and it was a nightmare.) I would probably prefer to work on the 3.0.x branch/tag as I hope to submit a patch or two but saw Joe mention that the project defs only existed in the trunk.
Searching Google for the oem error turns up lots of links about projects that had assets deleted and the build got confused but following the instructions on how to fix proved unsuccessful.

I always forget what that error means when it comes up -- though it's been ages since I've seen it last, literally.
Joe: Since you mention Java 1.5, I'm guessing the errors are in the asdoc package? Those should be turned off (read: turned into a warning) -- Eclipse is a little too persnickety about that particular error. There's a preference for this in the Java section under warnings and errors. It's turned off in the trunk dev projects. Otherwise, you should be able to run the compiler directly with no problems (okay, one more caveat: there's a class loader issue with the OEM, fixed in trunk if you look for my Java 1.5 checkin).
Ben: What is your setup? What are you building (Ryan mentions trunk, Joe mentions 30x), which Eclipse, which dev projects, did you build the sdk from the commandline first, etc.?

Do I always need to add .JAR to ClassPath?

My platform is Windows.
I pack my .class files to a .Jar file. When I want to use this .Jar, I always have to add it to ClassPath. I think it doesn't make sense. Does anything I can do that can make me use .Jar more convenient ?

Can you elaborate more?
If you create an app and jar up all of the .class files in jar called myJar.jar for example, and then want to run that app, you just type in "java -jar myJar.jar" and its' not necessary to have myJar.jar in the classpath. (Remember to add a manifest with the Main-Class attribute defined! See java tutorial for more info on executable jars...)
If, otoh, you have a bunch of classes in a jar, and then want to refer to those classes from some other external class(es)/jar(s), then yes, you'll need to add that jar to your classpath.

How to create an EJB Module using Eclipse

Hi,
How do I create a single EJB module and make a deployable EJB jar? I already have a existing source directory that contains the java files and the deployment descriptor. I am using Eclipse Ganymede 3.4 and Weblogic 9.2.

Start out by creating an empty EJB project using the EJB Project wizard. Make sure to specify your WebLogic 9.2 installation as target runtime on the first page of the wizard. If your EJB source code is plain spec-compliant EJB, then your project is ready. If you are using WLS EjbGen technology, then you will also need to enable that feature on the project. You can do that at project creation by clicking the Modify button next to the Configuration combo on the first page of the wizard and then selecting WebLogic EJB Gen Support facet.
Once the project is created, you are ready to import your source. You have several choices here. You can either copy your source into the src directory created for you or you can delete that source directory and link to a source directory elsewhere on the file system. To do the latter, right click on the project and select properties. Go to Java Build Path and select the Source tab. Remove the existing source directory. Then click on Link Source button and point to your existing source directory.
That should be all that's necessary. Hope that helps.

Isn't it??? I want that of SYSTEM so that user can access that class path from any JVM instance.
