Add to Catalog Problem

I sometimes export photos to a different folder on my hard drive, but want to "add to catalog" at the same time. When I do this, only some of the photos show up in the new location. For instance, if I select 50 photos to export to the new location and "add to catalog" at the same time, LR only shows 20 photos added. I know the files are there, I can see them in Finder, they just don't show up in LR. When I try to press the import or export button after this happens, those buttons stop working.
I've been using a workaround which is closing LR, then re-opening it, navigating to the the folder, and importing the remaining photos.
Is there a setting I might be missing or is this a bug? I can't figure out why this is happening.

Here's the answer.
In SE80, choose Class/Interface /CCM/CL_BSP_SCHEMA_MODEL, then under Atrribute double click GT_ASSIGNED_APPROVER. Then on the Attributes tab untick the read only flag for attribute GT_ASSIGNED_APPROVER for associated type /CCM/T_APPROVER .

Lightroom Corrupt Catalog problems- Help!

Lightroom Corrupt Catalog problems reading/writing from disk when attempting to repair - Help! I have my LR box in hand and my product keys and license info but can't find the disk. I'm assuming this is the only way to repair. Suggestions, Comments are welcome and appreciated.

Corrupt catalog will not be fixed by re-installing the Lightroom software (although if I were you, I'd still find that disk!)
If I were you, I would first check a recent backup of your catalog file, and see if that will open (double-click on it in your operating system). If that opens properly, I would just use that file.
If it doesn't open properly, then one trick that sometimes works is to open a blank catalog in Lightroom, then File->Import from Another Catalog and point to the catalog file.

LR 4.3 "Add to Catalog" Still Not Working

When I export photos and also check "Add to Catalog," only a few of the photos are actually added. They are exported okay, I can see the files in the Finder directory on my Mac, but LR only recognizes a few of them.
This has been an issue that is held over from LR 4.2

I don't know what you did but Lr 4.3 works perfectly with the NEFs from my D600.
Have you - previously to importing them into Lr - transfered them to your hard drive with Nikon View?
There have been reports that this renders the NEFs incompatible with Lr.
Try importing the NEFs directly from Camera / Memory card into Lr, or if you prefer to put them on the hard drive first, use your OS for that.

Global catalog problem

hello everyone
in our company we are upgrading our DCs to server 2012R2 we have one Dc 2008R2 we installed another DC 2012R2 and make it GC from sites and services the problem appeared when I demoted the 2008 server I noticed that nobody in the company is able to log to
the domain I realized that even the global catalog check mark is checked the server is not global catalog when I connect through ldap I see isglobalcatalogready : false I tried many solution to make it global catalaog but no success my solution was to shut
down this server and restore the 2008 server from a previous backup now all the users can log to the domain but I only have one DC I tried to add another 2012R2 Dc but DCPromo fails on the prerequisite "check verification of outbound replication
failed error reading the ntds settings on replication source controller" I installed another server 2008R2 server since there is no prerequisite check but the same problem occured the new DC is marked as GC but it's not GC I checked port 3268 I ran dcidag

note that WIN-SM5GUTCII7H is the new DC I renamed it to server 2008R2 but it can't be a global catalog due to the error.
I tried to google this error but I didn't find any solution how to make make it replicate the GC

In addition, I just wanted to point out that the error you are receiving below, can be indicative of some sort of firewall block. Antivirus apps can do this, too, with their network protection features.

Do you have an AV on the machine, or the Windows firewall, or a third party firewall enabled?
Run PortQRY to see if there are any ports blocked.
PortQry GUI -
Run the "Domains & Trusts" option between DCs, or between DCs and any machine (other servers you want to promote, or even from a client machine), that you want to test if there are any blocked AD ports. Post only errors with "NOTLISTENING," 0x00000001,
and 0x00000002. You can ignore UDP 389 and UDP 88 messages. If you see TCP 42 errors, that just means WINS is not running on the target server.

Time issue?
A time skew between DCs that is beyond 5 minutes, can cause it, too. Are the clocks on the new server and the current DCs within 5 minutes? Is the PDC emulator configured to sync time to an outside or to a local, reliable source?

And of course we are all assuming that the new machine is definitely only using a current DC as the only DNS address in its NIC.

MDM Catalog problem after SRM7 upgrade to EHP2

we start our project to upgrade our SRM landscape from 7.0 to EHP2. Now we are facing some problems with the MDM catalog connection. Nothing was changed in the customizing or parameters. The MDM catalog connection provided by SRM NWBC for HTML and customized as external services.

Add-on installation problem in Windows Server 2003

Hi guys,
I have a problem when i want to install my add-on in the Windows Server 2003. The server gives me error :
Unable to load AddOnInstallAPI.dll
and when i try install using the same installer at the client station, everything is ok.
Does anybody have suggestion about that problem? I suspect the problem is the Windows' security that did not allowed me to load the .dll. Does anybody know how to set the security?

I've found an answer on the similar question here, on the forum, saying that Windows 2003 is not a supported SAPBO Client OS.
In my experience I could not even set a reference to SAPbouicom.exe with a message "cannot load DLL"...

Actully your addon is bind on 32 bit enviornment.Consult with your sdk devloper and ask him to bind the ard on 64 bit enviornment. or install your server on 32 bit...

Toshiba 46TL968G HowTo add apps and Problem with flash in Webbrowser

I have 2 problems regarding Toshiba 46TL968G.
1) is that possible to install apps on this TV? I searched online that TOSHIBA ePortal could be used to add Apps, but I cannot find it in 46TL968G. Is it supported by this model?
- If yes, how can I access.
- If no, how can I install Apps. The Apps found in TOSHIBA Places are fixed and not really helpful. I prefer to install more.
2) Does the web browser support adobe flash? When I open youtube media, it shows "please install adobe flash". I cannot see any media on web browser. It is interesting that Youtube works fine in TOSHIBA Places.

Connect Add-in Big Problem

Hi everybody,
I am trying the acrobat connect product. Some days ago I installed the acrobat connect add-in to share my screen and everything where ok. From today for some reasons (I don not why) I can not share my screen because acrobat connect platform can not recognise the add-in and it force me to download and install it. But while add-in downloaded it appears an error message "A download error occured try to download again" and the same happen again and again. I searched adobe forums but I did not find an unambiguous answer...
Adobe is a big and a brand name company....but I am deeply disappointed...I and my team where thinking to buy this product to apply it as an e-learning system in my educational company...If we will have these unexpected problems in a productive enviroment then sorry but this solution doesn't seem reliable and professional...

i opened a case last saturday for the exact same problem (#0202189629) and i got no reply still. i tried to call the 800 support line. i was being put on hold or transferred for the last 4 hours.
here's the problem. i've tested the add-in problem with win XP, vista, vista 64bit, and with chrome, IE, firefox. all come back withe the same problem: error-retry. just like the same problem as this customer has.
i have tried manually downloaded and installed the add-in, but Connect would not recognize it. i have gone to control panel and delete/uninstall add-in, and other adobe plug-ins, same problem still come back.
i run an education facility that offers online lessons. i had to cancel last saturday's lesson because of this problem. and by wednesday night (now) i still haven't got any reply from adobe.
will seriously look for other alternatives.
by the way - one thing all customer services kept asking me: the serial number of the product. this is an online subscription right?! why everyone keep asking me for a serial number? even the Connect tech support refuse to talk to me cuz i dont have a serial number. i called customer service, no one knew where to find me that serial number. what's the deal?

Import from catalog problems

Cannot import from catalog, LR quits and I get about 2 or 3 photos imported.
Adobe was no help, they had no idea why.
Have tried to "import from Cat" twice. Moving two different catalogs into my main desktop catalog. Both did not work.
All three catalogs ( two from laptop and my main LR cat) work fine and I can import photos no problem.
Would like to import all the changes of photos that I have made with these two catalogs that I did on my laptop. (Both cats are on an external hard drive).
Thoughts anyone?
I am having some issues with my video card. Screen right now is a bit pink. This would be the fourth video card I will need on this Mac Pro. Would this be the cause?

It might help. Exporting a catalog sometimes cures corruption in the original catalog. Try exporting into a new catalog and then importing the new one on your desktop.
Never heard of the last thing you mentioned. Can you describe more?
Lightroom has a preferences file, which sometimes gets corrupt and can cause all kinds of weard behaviour. You can delete (or rename away) the preferences file, and LR will build a fresh one when started. If you rename it, you will still have it if you decide you want it back.
To rename the preferences file, rename the file
"[username]/Library/Preferences/com.adobe.Lightroom3.plist"
to something like
"[username]/Library/Preferences/com.adobe.Lightroom3.plist.old"
while LR is closed and restart LR.

Lightroom 4 - Catalog problem?

I recently installed Lightroom 4.0 on my new Windows 7 Home Premiun SP1 (64 bit) computer and imported my Lightroom 3.6 catalog into a Lightroom 4 catalog.
I have two problems which may or may not be related.
First:
While working in the Library, adding key words, etc., Lightroom will suddenly report in the current photo "The file named "xxxx (either .mrw or .jpg)" is offline or missing". On viewing the folder listing in the left-hand pane, all of the folders display with a "?". They did not do so moments before.
Second:
My LR4 import path is C:\Users\Bain\Pictures\My LightRoom.
However, Lightroom is displaying the folders imported since the upgrade as if they are in the root of C:
When I view the folders in Windows Explorer they are displayed properly in the My Lightroom folder.
I'd apprecaite any suggestions or help in resolving these issues.

Let me clarify the issue of the Missing Folder.
1.       The Lightroom 4 folder listing is normal
2.       While working on a photo in a folder I receive the "The file named "xxxx (either .mrw or .jpg)" is offline or missing" message.
3.       All of the folders in the folder listing are displayed with the question mark “?”.
4.       This issue has occurred multiple times.
I worked in Lightroom until I was able to recreate the “offline or missing” message, and all the folders in My Lightroom displayed ‘?’
I followed your instructions, right-clicking on the folder the error occurred in, selecting Find Missing Folder and browsing the folder location, the folder view flickered, but all folders continued to display ‘?’.
While I was typing this, the folder listing in LR ‘refreshed’ and the folders no longer displayed ‘?’
As you can imagine this is extremely frustrating.

I am a newbie and have been tasked to add a clients catalog
on their site as a flipping catalog. The client wants to have a
image of their catalog added to a page. They also want the catalog
to open up as a flipping catalog. I have found several sources for
flipping books but I am a little lost on where these files will be
posted on the site. Will the original image be linked to a new page
that holds the flipping book?

Your best solution is probably Flash-based. But IMO it is a
horrible idea.
Talk about a usability nightmare. And does your client
realize what a
maintenance nightmare they will have? What will you have to
charge them just
to add a single product or change a single price?
If it was my client I would convince them to build a

refuse to build sites I am certain will fail.

likes, dislikes and preferences and usually severely impede

Add a dimension - Problems with journal

Hi,
We need to add to a dimension to an existing application that has journal defined.
We have done the following steps:
1) We add and assign the new dimension to the application succesfully.
2) We try to create within the journal wizard, the new journal template adding the new dimension and we receive the following error "The system cannot create journal template".
We wanted to know, if is posible to generate manually the template or what is the best practice to add a new dimension in an application that has journals.

try one of these:
Solution1:
This error will occur if the query files folder is missing from each of the
problem applications. To resolve, simply copy the query file folder or
create one under each application and run through the journal wizard again.
Solution 2:
Reason:That issue may arise if native Excel is configured to open less than three
sheets by default on the client machine used to build the template.
Solution:
You can modify the Excel settings:
- In Excel 2003, select Tools, Options and click General in the Options
dialog box. Then change the setting for "Sheets in new workbook".
- In Excel 2007, click on the Office button and then on the Excel Options
button. In the Popular tab, "When creating new workbooks", please change
the "Include this many sheets" setting.
If it is different than 3, please set it back to 3 and test to build your
journal template again.
Solution 3:
Reason:The journal template couldn`t be created if the application
have more than 7 dimensions which are set for secure.
Soln: recommend setting dimension for secure as less than 7.
